Bugger! Didn't mean to miss you nix hope you get plenty of sleep tonight! Think it's nearly bedtime here too xx

mousebacon · 13/12/2010 22:03

Hi ladies, thanks for the positive vibes.

So, have finally told DH! Remember that episode of friends when rachael tells Ross she's pg? DH did the exact same thing, sitting in silence for about 5 mins! He's thrilled - hooray!

Sorry your LO is poory ladyg hope he's on the mend soon. My DS is doped up on calpol too. I hate high temperatures, it makes me so nervous.

izzy I love your message for spilt. It's so true that where we find ourselves today is just part of the bigger journey. The children we've lost will always be part of our lives.

Right, off to think positive thoughts. xxx

Ah lady G, sorry minig is poorly. We have had chicken pox for the last week and a half. First day back at nursery today and mininix HOWLED, he wasnt upset, he was properly distressed. I collected him at 3 and he just said to me... "i was sad mummy, but im happy now" and clung to me :) YES overemotional at everything. Being pg again is wonderful but it doesnt take away the sadness of waht you have lost, it seems to heighten it somewhat. But GG you are absolutely right, had your mum not lost her first baby, she would never have had your brother. Thats the way i am going to try and look at it, assuming it sticks!

Going to bed now, totally stressy work day and i am exhausted. I hope mininix decides he likes his bed tonight. Keeps coming in our room in the night saying " i just dont like my bed mummy i like your bed" love it!!

LadyGoneGaga · 13/12/2010 21:19

Glad to hear all ok so far, Mouse - have everything crossed for 23rd for you. And Good luck telling DH.

Spilt and Nix I am also ridiculously over emotional. Sobbed and sobbed at Elf last night. And Spilt you are bound to have mixed feelings, lovey. My Mum lost a full term baby to rhesus incompatiblity and then had my brother less than a year later - she would never have had my brother without losing the first. But she loves them both.

MiniG poorly today so am at home with him. High temp, no appetite. Being cuddled on me all day, keeps saying "I love you, Mummy". Keeps setting me off.

Sorry for not name checking everyone else - hope everyone is well but am bilious and exhausted. Surviving on buffet food and branflakes.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 13/12/2010 20:25

mouse there is a sack and a yolk sac at 4 weeks po thats half the way there Xmas Grin fab news lovely :)

spilt i am with you re the tears... i cried at XF last night! (the bit where harrys mum was telling harry she would always love him!!) Bonkers!

Spilt, you can never replace the baby you lost, none of us can. It will get easier with time. x Having a baby in your arms in 8 months eventually may go some way to easing that pain. You havent had much time to grieve lovely

spilttheteaagain · 13/12/2010 19:47

Thank you Izzy that was a lovely message. A tribute to her, I like that way of looking at it.

mouse I'm pleased the sonographer sounded positive and will be keeping my fx for the next two weeks - good luck with telling dh and try to relax a bit! Xmas Smile

Big ((((hugs)))) to spilt - I'm not sure after mc you can ever feel quite the same about pg, but please don't give yourself a hard time. You're not replacing Bobbie; she's still your daughter and you don't love or miss her any the less for having more children. This new baby will be a unique product of your entire family circumstances at this time, including that you have had and have lost Bobbie; as you say, without that loss this baby couldn't have come into being so in a way it's like a lovely tribute to her iykwim. I hope that makes sense and doesnt sound insensitive, I know your feelings must be all over the place and I can't imagine what you're going through...I just mean that it's in no way disrespectful or dismissive of Bobbie for you to have and to love this baby x

spilttheteaagain · 13/12/2010 19:27

Thanks mouse that sounds manageable. I always find it less scary to know these sorts of details in advance so I know what to expect.

I'm ok I think. I'm such a completely weird mix of feelings right now (to be expected I'm sure) but it's grief and excitement, pain and hope. I can be bouncing around and getting all excited about being pregnant again or I can be aching and crying and missing my little girl. I'm finding the whole timing quite hard too. I'm keeping track of where I "should" be still, so in my mind I am 29+3 and 4+1 at the same time. I know that there is no world in which I could have both of my children and so I feel guilty for being happy about this new one who wouldn't exist if Bobbie had made it. And I so desperately wish she had, but I don't want to wish away this baby either. Argh, it is very confusing.

I had a Christmas card from my grandma today that wished us a happy Christmas and said "we hope you get your heart's desire in 2011". I know what she means of course and I was touched that she'd thought to write something relevant to what's happened, but again I just cried because I can't have, will never have my heart's desire. Yes I will have other children (I hope!) but I'm still grieving so much for the daughter I have just lost. No other baby will replace her.

Also very tired and as recorded earlier, an emotional loon Grin

Right, dildo cam lo-down... It's quite long, with a condom over it and they use a little gel to help it go in. I found today's uncomfortable (like stinging) but today's was my 4th one and they've varied from v painful (whilst miscarrying) to only slightly uncomfortable (at the fertility clinic) I suppose it depends on who's doing it.

I would put them on a par with having a smear.

How you feeling spilt ?

spilttheteaagain · 13/12/2010 19:09

mouse that sounds like good news for now, and every reason to hope you'll see a little heartbeat on the 23rd. Hope it goes well telling DH. So are you 6 weeks now?
And by the way - what is dildo cam like? How big? (slightly nervous as I imagine my early scan will be one of those!). How does it compare to say a smear or an internal examination?

terrys honestly enjoy the ok bit. I reckon I've got 7-10 days if this is like the last time. I am making the most of it and eating everything I can lay my hands on!
I am also slightly embarrassed to report that I have turned into a loon. I had the cat on my lap and wanted to adjust my leg so lifted him a bit. He jumped off. I sobbed Blush. Then DH hugged me and I remembered last time I was pregnant I cried when I saw a baby penguin on the TV who's mum had left it (little penguin was fine btw!). Remembering the penguin made me howl still more BlushBlush. The the man on the Eggheads was looking all confused and not sure what the answer was. I cried because he looked so sweet BlushBlushBlush

fedup so sorry your MIL is so ill Sad

Hello iwish. You've started reporting creamy CM which is usually the precursor to the really fertile EWCM so I would say you are gearing up but still have a few days to go. As battery say if you have any previous charts to add to your homepage it would help to get a sense of what your body does.

Feeling ok thanks mouse but want to feel rubbish!! Took an Internet cheapie this morning and line was still v v faint so keep getting worried that it's a chemical PG . Off out for dinner with friends now, going to get there early so we can recruit the staff to translate my drink order from one beer to one alcohol free beer!!

Will post properly and name check tomrrow, iPhone on train making me feel a bit sick!

newyearsday · 13/12/2010 18:22

mouse just checking to see how it went today, sounds positive - enjoy sharing your news with DH tonight. Everything crossed for the 23rd xx

mousebacon · 13/12/2010 17:55

Thanks terrys how you feeling?

I've changed my mind about the 50/50 thing and am going to use the '1 in 4' statistic so that gives me a 75% chance of success. Yes, that sounds much better Xmas Smile

TerrysNo2 · 13/12/2010 17:38

Am on train using virgin hotspot so just lurking but want to wish mouse lots of luck. Hope you enjoy telling DH tonight and that he gives you a much deserved hug!! :)

mousebacon · 13/12/2010 17:19

Hi! I'm here. No real news but I'm being rescanned in a fortnight. The doc said she 'wasn't worried' about my pregnancy which is probably the most reassurance you can get.

She could see the sac and a yolk which she said was positive but the was no heartbeat and no fetal pole but she said that was to be expected at 4 weeks post ov.

So, rescan on the 23rd. All fingers crossed please. I suppose it's 50/50 at the mo.

Right, next hurdle is telling DH tonight! I really hope we get the Christmas present we're hoping for.

Mouse xx

batteryturkey · 13/12/2010 16:15

hello everyone - just popping in to see if mouse has posted yet - a bit too early I think.

Iwish - Hi and welcome to our lucky thread :) Can you post any of your other charts at all? The reason I ask is that your LP (Luteal Phase) - the second part of your cycle from Ovulation to period should be the same every month ( I think!) so you should get a clearer idea. Temping will tell you when you have ovulated - not before. Other signs like your cervical fluid and cervix positon will tell you when you are gearing up for OV. I don't check my cervix but there are plenty of ladies on here that do and can give you advice! xx

Best dash - am at work

GetDownYouWillFall · 13/12/2010 15:38

Hi there Fedup ... sorry to hear about your terrible weekend and being with your MIL in hospital. That is awful.

When does your DH get home? hope you will not be on your own too long.

Fedupttcnosuccess · 13/12/2010 15:04

Hi girls! Hope you're all well. Will read back when I have a spare moment...terrible weekend: mil has degenerative kidney disease- was in pain, so spent the weekend at the hospital with her. Dh on a business trip in the USA.
Promise to namecheck later. Just really hope you girls are doing well. One thing is certain: you don't hang about do ya guys?!?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 13/12/2010 13:55

nix yes the temp rise does look impressive but way too early! mrsA I wish my social life was so full that I was out drinking on a Sunday but sadly this is not the case! However I do feel quite rough today and given that dd was sick all last week I wonder if I just have a high temp at the minute? If so I don't suppose there's any way of moderating for this on the chart and I'll just have to look at it as unreliable this cycle?! I am found CBFM as well though so hopefully that will help.

Sorry for short mememe post, sneakily typing under desk at work!

hippychick66 · 13/12/2010 13:31

Oh my goodness you lot sure can chat Grin.

loads to read and no time to catch up properly.

Just wanted to say good luck to mouse it could well be due to uncomfrotable sex.

Still sounds very positive and brown is always better than red. With both my losses i had red blood. Will check in on you later.

Good luck, honey.

Iwish · 13/12/2010 13:10

Ooops my chart

Iwish · 13/12/2010 13:07

Hi all. Hope you are all well. There has been a lot of bfps on here recently, congrats to you all and good luck to those still ttc Xmas Smile, must be a lucky thread. I have been on here briefly by never had much to say but now on month 5 and have started to chart so thought I would rejoin if that's ok with you lovely ladies and use up all your super knowledge.

I don't really know much about charting so my chart just looks like a chart to me so don't know what I'm looking for. Just wanted to know if OV is nearing.... My most recent cycles have been 27,25,26 and then a 32!! I think I ov'd around 13,11,12 and 18 on those.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 13/12/2010 11:36

battery if you were drinking loads on CD15, then the high temp on CD 16 may well be misleading. If you got a strong +ve OPK on CD16 it seems unlikely (though not impossible) that you've ov cd15. What does ff do if you ignore cd16?

Izzy is there any reason for high temps today eg were you drinking last last night? I always find that my temps are up the day after drinkig past about 9pm, whereas if I have a glass or 2 with tea at 6, it doesn't affect things. As I'm a late ov, I don't know if it's possible to ov early but I'm sure others here will have better views.

I am on cd21 and no temp rise yet. Having mild ov pain for the past few days and small amounts of ewcm - hoping for the next few days to produce result.
here
DP are SWI every other day till the weekend, so hoping to cover all bases.

Thanks for comments re my overlaid charts. I think my temps fluctuate so each cycle shows a clear shift, but put together they look wierd. I am hoping that a lack of prgesterone would mean a short LP. Not going down the docs route till Feb/March time I think.

Hi to all - mouse thinking of you today.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 13/12/2010 07:52

battery my inexperienced eye says 15 too, but i am not sure. I think your temp on CD15 throws it out. Izz thats a great hike for you lovely :) an early ov? Hope you both got plenty of action in.... battery PMSL at the cabbage. No romance in it for us either when TTC, hes lucky if i put on a frilly pair of nicks Xmas Grin

mouse could it be cervix erosion? always bleed when i get a smear or something like that which interferes, maybe you caught it during sex. One of the other bfp'ers on another thread had the same, caused by SFF! Heres hoping babexxxxx One thing i know for sure when i had MC all my symptoms disappeared over night, fab that you are sick xxx Good luck for later will be in my thoughts xx

getdown i am rubbish at cervix interpretation also! I relied on temps,OPKS and that was it. Your cervix will feel open if you have delivered vaginally previously (mine constantly feels like it has a hole init!) so feels diff than the books suggest. FX for you this monthXmas Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 13/12/2010 07:34

battery I would have said cd15 based on your chart, but if you think the cd16 temp is throwing things out, have you tried discarding it and seeing what difference it makes?

Here's my chart

Any thoughts? I'm actually thinking today might be a "rogue" temp as it seems early and CBFM still on high not peak (and I'm slightly worried we missed the window if it was really early!) - what do you think?
