Work - check
SWI - check Grin

Ifatfirst what a lovely chart you have - its looking good so far! What's your usual cycle length? Definitely more stable temps than last month.

spilt please don't let yourself be upset by idiots. I don't know if what happened to you is conceivable by many people, its just such a horrible thing you went through that some people probably don't know how to deal with it. Also if that lady hasn't had children then I don't think she could understand the magnitude of giving birth to Bobbie. I can't even begin to imagine it but I have given birth so I can relate to that experience and I cannot imagine how much pain you are going through. As I said earlier, just keep going, you are doing great! Smile

I hope you don't mind me asking but I have been wondering if you found out what sex Bobbie is? Please don't answer this if you don't want to!

No idea on your bleeding though, sorry!

spilttheteaagain · 22/11/2010 19:45

Sorry, me again. Chart here

Anyone got any knowledge of spotting? Esp so soon after losing a pregnancy?

It's not totally clear on my chart, but basically I had 1 day of spotting then 3 day proper AF, then 1 day of brown spotting (end of AF). Then nothing for 24 hours. Then we had sex in the evening and I suddenly had a big mess of bright red blood during/straight after. Then nothing for nearly 48 hours. Then this afternoon I had a few weird pains in my abdomen area and suddenly wet pants. Cue more fresh blood, but just a small mess not a flow.

I am confused I have never bled other than during a period before.

IfAtFirst your chart is beautiful! Classic CD14 ovulation, lovely steady LP phase, nice length LP, well timed shagging. A* for you! And fingers crossed this is finally it.

Lady I hope you're getting on ok. Do you have any kind of early scan planned or are you pootling along waiting for the dating one?

Thanks for all of your supportive comments yesterday, it was a crap day. Not that today has been a huge amount better quite frankly. I did my first full day at work but was upset before I even got there and cried all the way (drove carefully though!).
Shortly after I arrived a woman came into my office and said "Nice to see you back, how are you feeling Ah well these things happen, now - I'm looking for a parcel..."
I could barely speak and as soon as she left was sobbing. It was so dismissive and hurtful.

Why are people so stupid?! What's wrong with just saying "So sorry to hear what happened".

Had a few further bouts of tears (mainly triggered by people being caring and concerned) and have come home knackered to flop on the sofa with chocolate hobnobs. And have mysteriously started bleeding again Hmm
Perplexed.

Hi all,

Iwish from what I've read you must keep taking your thyroxine whilst ttc. At the first sniff of a BFP get straight back to the GP for a review. Pregnancy places a lot of demands on your thyroid and an increased dose of thyroxine in pregnancy is usually needed to help protect the pregnancy (especially in the 6-8 week mark).

GetDown I agree with Lady, I would hold off with the hormones until you've got your first AF. I have no scientific basis for this, just a feeling that a slightly confused body should get a chance to settle down first.

Hi Terrys I wondered where you'd gone! Glad you're enjoying your SWI and when your DH gets tired, remind him he's on a promise! I seem to recall when your AF started he vowed to do it every day! If I was you I wouldn't worry too much about identifying EWCM/semen (would check it but not do any of the groteseque experiments) and just keep going until you see a temp rise.

MrsA Sad sorry you're so frustrated. FWIW I agree that you could have ov'd in the CD23-CD25 window so may not be as far into your LP as you thought. As long as your LP is 10+ days it should be fine, less than that makes people more twitchy but does NOT mean you can't get pg. A textbook LP of 14 days would be my ideal because as well it would mean pg dating was easier, and I wouldn't worry at all about a little bean not having time to implant.

strange Confused

try again

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 18:48

Clench away during, MrsA. I do the same and still works for me! As long as it's not all gushing out immediately afterwards I'm sure it's fine Grin. You're right, there is a theory that female orgasm causes contractions of the vagina that cause the cervix to dip down and kind of suck up the sperm. But sadly he has to come first! But that's not necessary - just more fun!

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 18:44

Link not working for me for some reason, Ifat. Not sure why...hope is good nes though! Grin

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 22/11/2010 17:48

Here's hoping that it's your month MrsA

I am now on 12DPO and apart from the very unusually ouchy boobs I've had no symptoms, that is until a few hours ago.

I've started to feel very achey & crampy on my left side. Felt a bit like OV pain, with the odd stab thrown in for good measure. Now the left hand side of my back is starting to ache, with the occasional twinge in the lower part of my stomach.

Either AF is on her way or........ Grin

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 22/11/2010 16:57

"only have my first appt"
Sorry that should read had

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 22/11/2010 16:56

Thanks for the comments. I have started acupuncture but only have my first appt on Thurs and it's only Monday now! Can't believe that would cause it to lengthen. If it does, is it better to have a long LP phase then?
I ov late, so a long LP means i'd be lucky to get 10 cycles a year.
Like you said LadyG, I'd rather know either way now - it's the not knowing that's the upsetting thing for me.
(Hopeing you're feeling nice and queay btw :))

And, stupid (& TMI) qn of the day - I know what kegels are but i also assumed they were the same muscles used in orgasm. So....erm....when DP and I are SWI, I also clench them to enhance the experience Blush. Does this mean i'm pushing the sperm away and I should do nothing whilst he 'deposits'? I always thought it pulled the penis and sperm further in?
I clearly know nothing.

It would be useful to know, as I got confused between EWCM and preseed the morning after SWI.

No AF yet but making mental plans for next month already, involving lots of alcohol.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 16:41

Theory is after 20-30 mins of lying down all the ones that are any cop will have swum safely through. The rest are duds and you can just squeeze then out. I've never risked it though!

TerrysNo2 · 22/11/2010 16:36

But then I read that kegels get rid of the swimmers. How to win?!!? Confused Grin

nickstermum · 22/11/2010 16:29

Terrys... TCOYF mentions kergels for distinguishing between swimmers and ewcm... (i dont have a clue what they are but the description is pelvic floor exercises!) Try that...? Might help to keep the swimmers in also when you stand up IYSWIM? Grin

Water... oh how lovely Grin

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 15:52

It could be any day between cd22 and cd25, MrsA. Is always harder to tell with a slow rise. Have you been doing anything to change your LP? Supplements, treatments anything like taht? Good news is taht it is moving in the right direction - a lot of ladies would kill for a 14 days LP.

I hope your temps pop back up and you get a BFP or that you just know one way or the otehr soon.

TerrysNo2 · 22/11/2010 14:56

MrsA don't give up yet! I think you OV-ed on CD22-24 so if it was 24 then you could just be on 12DPO and a PG test in the evening might not work?!? I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

TerrysNo2 · 22/11/2010 14:40

That is really gross LadyG!! Grin

I did my first OPK - what I call my *LadyG batch Grin - today but it was -ve. Will do 2 a day from now on at 12/1pm and 7/8pm.

BTW - does anyone here drink Berocca? I have started drinking it and it makes my pee turn bright yellow!! Very odd for PIAC (peeing in a cup!)

LadyG we'll see about every day, best laid plans and all!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 22/11/2010 14:38

Afternoon all. Really down today, though being sorry for myself won't change anything and I really should pull myself together as some of you on here have been through so much more than I.

Temps dropped again this morning :( No sign of AF and it's doing my head in.
I could understand if we'd tried and AF then arrived as normal. I'd be disappointed but think there's next month.
But now my temp has dropped, I'm on CD36 after almost two years of 28-32 day cycles (What is going on?!!)
I have no idea what DPO I'm on really.

What do you all use on ff? Advanced, FAM or Research? I was using Advanced but it became clear that it was confused with my slow rises (eg this month on Advanced it says I ov on CD25 but I had dry CM by then.). FAM says I haven't ovulated yet and Research is the only one to show solid lines on CD 22, and that's when I felt ov pain.
But if I did ov CD 22, i am now on LP of 14.

I think I need help. I have changed my chart to remove the cross hairs. Can I get some feedback on when you think I ov?

And I've looked in TCOYF and it says nothing about fluctuating LPs. My phases have gone from 10-14 days, is this possible or does it indicate a problem?

Sorry for long post. i am now truly fed up and just want to know one way or the other. I got a BFN last night.
Why does my body decide to go haywire once TTC??!!

chart here

Thanks all.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 14:02

Think I was 7 and a half weeks, Getdown. It may take you less time to get back to normal. I found I ovved about a week after I would normally expect, but got AF about a week early. So actually had a "normal" cycle length!

Terrys is a tricky job. But if you are doing it EVERY DAY Shock then it won't matter! EWCM is stretchier than semen and if you put it in a glass of water kind of balls together and you can actually fish it back out and will still be stretchy. Semen will dissipate a bit more.

But really I find it hard to tell. Record as EW or Watery if in doubt and just make a note that you couldmn't tell very easily. Are you persevering with the OPK's or giving up this month?

TerrysNo2 · 22/11/2010 13:47

Oh, sorry that was so long!! Blush

TerrysNo2 · 22/11/2010 13:46

Hi all

Had lots of visitors staying recently so not had much chance to MN. I hope you are all well!!

spilt I can't believe its been so long since Bobbie was born, I think you are coping fantastically overall and its normal to have rubbish days, and one day they will be outweighed by the good ones. Keep going! Smile

Lady - stop temping NOW!! What on earth good can come from it??

Hippy sorry AF got you, fingers crossed for next month.

Getdown I hope that you get some clarity soon on your WTF cycle. And remember that Google is the best and the worst tool in the world!! You too iwish! Grin

Welcome nickster!

Ifatfirst how many DPO are you?

Well I am CD11 today so DH and I started our SWI-ing last night, twas lovely Grin. Haven't noticed much EWCM yet and its usually in abundance Confused. I might use the preseed tonight, if I can get it in without spoiling the romance!! If DH and I manage to SWI every day (as promised!) then how should I check for CM and not confuse it with the swimmers?? Hmm

I am very Smile with DH as he is not drinking this week to support our TTC-ing as well and that is a big ask for him!! (well except Thursday as he has a team night out but as he hardly ever goes out then thats fine by me)

GetDownYouWillFall · 22/11/2010 13:04

Thanks Lady I know deep down you are right. I am just clutching at straws really.

Ah well.

I'm glad to hear your cycle resolved after the WTF cycle. Would you be able to remind me how many weeks you were when you had your MC? (sorry, don't if it's upsetting, just wondering if because mine was early - 5 weeks - that perhaps my body will just treat it as a "normal" cycle)

Thanks Lady hope you are ok today.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 13:01

Personally I wouldn't, Getdown. As really you want your body to try and rebalance itself longer term and you might confuse it by adding extra hormones in the WTF cycle.

I did acupuncture and she got me to take Magnesium as that supports hormone rebalancing but still had a short LP taht month. Think your body almost needs that somehow given the turmoil it has been through. And then the next month was fine obviously (touch wood) Grin

Others may have a different view though, hon. I know it's so hard when all you really want is to be pregnant again.

GetDownYouWillFall · 22/11/2010 12:33

Hi all

Hope we are all ok today. How are you feeling today split, hope it's a better day for you.

In a moment of madness I started googling progesterone cream in the thought that if I could give myself a little "kick" of progesterone, it may extend my LP in the post-MC cycle? Anyone done this? Or would it be crazy?

digitalgirl · 21/11/2010 21:57

mouse as I mentioned to getdown earlier my chart is v boring but if it can help in anyway here it is

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 21/11/2010 20:29

Oh no Hippy - ssshhhhh, I'm pinning my hopes on freakishly sore huge boobies!! So sorry that you were teased this month :(

Sorry you are having a rubbish day today spilt!
