A shiny new thread girls and hopefully we shall all get merrily up-duffed with sticky beans Grin

GetDown I get cross and grumpy for a few hours and then sad and have a few tears in the evening. Drink wine. Extract promises of extra SWI next month from DH.

CD2 is always better.

Each month I used to try to add one new thing to the ttc malarky so I felt like we were being proactive.

Ooops Nix re not waiting for the beep! That could explain your lizard-like temps!!

Good luck, here's hoping AF stays away tomorrow. Like you though, I have no symptoms so not holding my breath.

Argggh. How do you deal with the disappointment ladies? Do you wallow for a few days, or just try not to think about it?

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 29/11/2010 19:26

mouse everything crossed for you xxx heres hoping. If you got a bfn after EPRC chances are its the real thing!

you could get a digi pg test that tells you 1-2 wks or 3-4 etc? Just to see!

My chart bonkers! have realisd i havent been waiting long enough for therm to beep (imbecile)but they have shot back up above cover line today! Confused AF due tomorrow cd36 so will see, totally symptomless.. lots of montgomerys but they were there anyway!!

spilttheteaagain · 29/11/2010 18:03

Just in case anyone is interested:

I was asking about spotting after AF this month and have come across this info in TCOYF:

"postmenstrual bleeding/spotting... it is probably caused by irregular shedding of the endometrium and small fragments of endometrial tissues. It is almost always thought to be a result of a sub-optimal luteal function in the prior cycle." pg 227

Given that the prior cycle was my WTF one and only had a 7 day LP that would seem like a reasonable explanation. Hopefully this time will be more normal.

spilt I have just booked my smear for Monday. It's 3 years exactly since I had my last one (not sure about the UK but in Wales we have 3 yearly ones) and about 2 weeks after my last smear i conceived DD, so fingers crossed!!

Glad it's not just me who can't locate cervix but I'll try the old squat and backwards feel as that's possibly the only way I'll manage it.

Some days i wish i hadn't started charting as now I have, I can't not, IYSWIM :)

spilttheteaagain · 29/11/2010 15:18

ooh that's interesting battery, thank you. I doubt they know my details so I will ask before it's done. However, when I saw my midwife at booking in (eons ago!) she said I was due a smear but they would do it at the 6 week postnatal check. It'll be almost 8 weeks on Thurs so that's longer than they suggested. I'll let you know! I would rather get it over with if they are happy to do it.

Enjoy that newborn Smile

Hello everyone :) mouse I have been thinking about you , and I really think this could be it :) You would not have ovulated if you still had 'product' left behind, ans as you are sure you did OV then it's looking good for you x
split - sorry to ask but do your nurses know your history - I only ask as they don't usually do smears until 3 months after giving birth, ans as you delivered bobbie - you might want to check (sorry - don't want to upset you but don't want you to worry and for them not to do it lovie)- your chart is looking good for the egg laying too :)

To all those cervix hunters - I can't find mine either. I get very Envy when I hear other people comment on theirs ....it doesn't help that I have fingers like pigs tits sausages Blush

Nothing going on here - have come home in the snow -that journey made my heart beat very fast as it was like a blizzard.

Wave to all - am off to see my friend with her new born and am dying for a cuddle :)

spilttheteaagain · 29/11/2010 14:18

Gulp. Thursday it is.

The nurse does smears usually. Just ring up your surgery and ask for one.

My surgery do "well woman" clinics that you can book in advance.

It's not pleasant, but certainly worth doing, esp while you know you are not pregnant.

My last one went fine, apart from the fact the nurse was a family friend Blush. Must check name of nurse next time I book!

spilttheteaagain · 29/11/2010 14:05

Maybe one of you can help? I've remembered I'm due a smear test (was due when pg but obviously they didn't do it then). I ought to get that done before we ttc again. I've never had one before. How do I sort this?

Is it a nurse or GP appointment?

GetDownYouWillFall · 29/11/2010 13:56

yep the good old squatting trick Wink

You may well have ov'd yesterday spilt as you have a good high temp today. Give it another couple of days to confirm it.

GetDownYouWillFall · 29/11/2010 13:54

thanks spilt I really hope you're right... when I've been pregnant before I've always had sore boobs and a little bit of nausea by now, so kind of don't think I can be....

But they do say every pregnancy is different, so I'm not going to give up hope entirely. Will test on thursday I think.

spilttheteaagain · 29/11/2010 13:54

great minds GetDown Wink

GetDownYouWillFall · 29/11/2010 13:52

Hi there MrsA it is so frustrating isn't it, that you can do everything right and still not get pregnant.

The throwing caution to the wind is a good approach, but just don't think I could do it! I'm too much of a control freak!

Hope you get ov soon. 9 days is not too long to wait really, and as you say, maybe your acupunture will bring it forward a bit.

It's easier to find your cervix if you kind of, ummm, squat down Blush

spilttheteaagain · 29/11/2010 13:52

mouse tentative congratulations! Really hope it's a new pregnancy for you. How terrifying and fantastic!

My chart. Would you agree it looks like I laid an egg yesterday? (Had flu jab on CD3 which is prob why CD4&5 show a bit of a peak)

How are you feeling coastgirl?

MrsA yup it took me ages to locate my cervix. I can do it now when sitting on the loo and putting my hand behind me and going in that way. Can't do it from the front. TCOYF reckons squatting is a good position as the cervix drops lower then.

GetDown hope it's your month. It's perfectly normal to have no symptoms this early so don't rule it out.

Hope you're ok digi xx

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 29/11/2010 13:41

Oh and have completely failed to find cervix. My tummy is too big fingers are too short Blush

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 29/11/2010 13:39

mousebacon have everything crossed for you. What a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Hope you get good times ahead.

Terrys fingers crossed too and hope some of the recent runs of good luck rubs off here.

I am only CD7, so expecting to wait at least another 9 days before any hope of ov. Have had 2 acupuncture sessions though, so am closely watching CM in case it brings it forward.
My acupuncturist lives on a farm in the middle of bloody nowhere though so this week's session may well be off if the roads are too icy.

I will join Getdown in that it is very frustrating and low to be continually trying with no success (DP pointed out I need to stop worrying though). We SWI so much last cycle and still nothing, though ff says I ov CD25, despite no EWCM by then and we stopped SWI everyday by CD23.
I think the plan this cycle is to start SWI from around CD15 and then do it every other day till CD26, just to be sure given my slow rise temps.

TBH, I'm half tempted to do what we did with DD conception and throw caution to the wind and eat and drink what I like, assume I won't get pg and then have the law of sod interrupt me! (I can dream).

Digi like you, I have kept all DD's baby stuff and don't know when is the right time to give up. I'm 39 in March - am getting too old I think....

mousebacon · 29/11/2010 13:20

Just spoke to the doctor who said after an erpc it's highly unlikely to be product from a previous pg. His advice was to wait 2 weeks and test again!! Aagghh!!! xx

LadyGoneGaga · 29/11/2010 13:01

I think if you were clear after the EPRC this is prob it! What you could do is call the EPU and explain your concern - they might do the bloodwork. And could scan to see if they can see anything leftover from last time or if they can see a new sac? Not sure how early they can do this though.

Grin
mousebacon · 29/11/2010 12:19

Thanks ladies, I feel fine. Had some shooting pains down my boobs a couple of days ago but nothing else. My wee has smelt rather strange (which I did wonder about!) but nothing else. I didn't have any early symptoms with the failed pg either.

Right, will phone the docs. I have 1 internet cheapy left so will do that either in the morning or in a couple of days to see if it's getting stronger. Don't know if you can remember but I did 6 last time and had all manner of shades!

Have resolved not to tell DH coz if it's bad news ie - need another erpc it might just tip him over the edge.

I did have a negative about a week after the erpc and they were very confident that they'd got everything.

Oh God, if this is it I'm so happy but I don't want to get excited yet. I know you know what I mean.

I have some v mild cramps but that means nothing.... I wish my tummy was transparent!!

Thanks for your responses and GOOD LUCK TERRY!!!

GetDownYouWillFall · 29/11/2010 10:49

Oh wow mousebacon - sounds exciting! Hope it really is what you think it is! Do you want to link to your chart?

Glad your temp has gone up again Terrys looks like CD16 for ov.

I'm on 11DPO. Have some very mild cramps but nothing else. I'm sure I would have sore boobs by now if I was pregnant wouldn't I? Trying not to feel too disappointed...

TerrysNo2 · 29/11/2010 09:56

Hi all

Mouse congrats Grin Grin - how do you feel?

Temp went up this morning, highest its been this cycle - yay. FX for another rise tomorrow and I think FF will give me a OV day of CD16 as I thought.

Chart here

LadyGoneGaga · 29/11/2010 08:51

Same as what Battery said. Did you ever get a negative test? I would think is more likely you are pregnant personally esp as you have been able to identify ovulationa and your temp is rising and not falling! Options: Test again tomorrow using same type of test, same time of day etc - if it is darker is prob pg; if lighter prob not; Go to Doctors and get a Quantitative HCG test, they will repeat that in a couple of days and if it doubles then you are pregnant.

But I think/hope congrats may be in order! How do you feel? Any symptoms?

Want to give you a huge hug, lovey. Is a scary and exciting time xxx

batteryhen · 29/11/2010 07:47

Hi mouse - it can happen that you are pg after your erpc - my friend is 16 weeks pregnanat now - she fell 3 weeks after her op. I really really hope you are - :) did you get a negative test after your erpc ?
