MrsA have a ((hug))
It is disheartening when everyone else seems to be getting BFPs and you aren't yet. Still, it could be you in 3 weeks time if this cycle works out. Keep hoping, keep SWI!

I had a really good day yesterday and felt positively cheerful for the first time in, well, a couple of months. Then today...
Cat is wounded (massively swollen paw, can't walk, yelps when touched) and needs to go to the vet. DH has gone to work. I was supposed to be working this morning but my car is broken. It is beeping at me, flashing the engine coolant warning light and smells of burning (I think it just needs more coolant, but funnily enough I have none of that...)
So I am stuck here with a sad, sick animal Sad

On the bright side I can keep an eye on him, and I don't have to battle the ice, but it's hard seeing him look so sad and I can't take him to the vet. DH is going to phone for an appointment once they're open and then hopefully nip home to take him.

Many congratulations to all the recents bfps! I hope this trend continues and rubs off on me! Can I confess to feeling a bit useless - with all the positives I feel like it's only me who can't get pg (know it's not but YKWIM). Sigh. Cd 9 so early days yet and gonna miss acupuncture tomorrow as she lives on a farm so full of snow! Am pleased for all of you honest, just feeling rubbish. Followed all the 'rules' and still no bfp.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 01/12/2010 07:32

COAST!!!! We have matching bfp's!!!!! Fantastic :) Grin Grin [gtrin]

a line is a line!

Catch up properly later x

spilttheteaagain · 01/12/2010 06:57

It is, congratulations!

So...a line is a line, right? Did an internet cheapie this morning and got the faintest of faint lines (which greatly confused DH as he didn't know what the hell he was looking at!). I've no doubt I will be peeing on a few more things over the next few days but that's a BFP, isn't it? Shock!

LadyGoneGaga · 30/11/2010 22:12

Nix as a fellow mc'er the girls made me stop as I was fretting about every fluctuation. Am still POAS's though Grin

Great you're felling rubbish, Ifat - you know what I mean...defo a good sign.

tory79 · 30/11/2010 21:34

Thanks Spilt, I wasn't sure about starting with the opk's to be honest, I have been quite happy with the temping and to be honest I think they just add another layer of stress! I think partly I was worried about my fluctuating temps at the start of this cycle and thought it might be a good thing to do....I am regretting it now!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 30/11/2010 21:17

Hi ladies, hope you are all well - mouse congrats on your BFP!

I hope you dont think I'm being incredibly rude, but I've had to skip through the last few days posts as I was reading, but none of it wa actually going in - I'm so damn tired! I hope I havent missed anything x

I am really struggling at the mo, this cold I've got has really knocked me for six. I got sent home from work at 1pm today and promptly fell asleep on the sofa and slept until 7.30! I am in bed now, just waving hello to you guys, then back to peeps!
It seems like an age since I felt well - and I can imagine that it's only going to get worse!

I think the nausea has set in today, DH (bless him, he's been an absolute superstar the lat few days) made some tea and the smell of it (through my blocked nose) made me gip! I also tried taking some cough medicine and had to hold it in my mouth for about 10 seconds as I couldnt swallow it - though I was going to spew!
Boobs are still reasurringly massive and rock hard. Might have to start taking the padding out of my Ultimo bras now. I'm so chuffed I can actually fill them with real boob and not just gel inserts Grin

spilttheteaagain · 30/11/2010 21:00

Hi tory

Temps won't predict ovulation, they will just show you when it has occurred. CM is your best bet for predicting it. Looking at your previous charts you have ovulated 1-2 days after the "peak day" of most fertile CM, so given that you're recording EWCM today I would expect you to ov CD14-CD15, so temp rise showing on CD15-CD16.

OPKs can be a bit of a pain tbh, not everyone gets on with them or gets +ves. The LH surge they are looking for can be incredibly short so it's easy to miss even if you are testing daily. If your CM indicates you are fertile, go with that. Great if the OPKs confirm it, but if not, trust your body.

Good luck, keep up the SWI!

Thanks battery its a bit of a shock, and now i am looking at my boobs and they are much more veiny than they already were and my nips seeem to have doubled in size! Hoorah, hoping pg boobs follow soon.

So do i keep temping considering i have MC?

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 30/11/2010 19:32

oooh coast its looking good girl..... back in the game i think so YES! Grin

we wait with bated breath

tory79 · 30/11/2010 19:00

Hi all

I ahem joined this thread a little while ago and never posted again - I think I might be one of those annoying people who just pops up when they need advice and doesn't give much back....so sorry in advance Blush I read it every day though! Smile And congratulations on all the BFP's!

SO, I am on CD13. This is my 3rd month of temping. The first 2 months my pre ov temps were pretty static. Looking at last month, I can't shake the feeling there is a small possibility that I had a cp, and this month so far, my temps have been a bit all over the place although they seem to be settling down a bit now. In theory I should be ovulating any day now, but I have no idea if I'll be able to see this on my temps! CM signs are ok, but I've used opks for the first time this month and haven't had a positive yet....

Not sure exactly what I'm asking, but if anyone does have any thoughts I would be happy to hear.... [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/315af5
]]

Thanks in advance

Tory xx

batteryhen · 30/11/2010 18:09

I am so excited about the BFPs' on here :) nix I am really pleased for you! coastgood luck for you tomorrow too :)

Well FF did not like my temp this morning - I think I was cooking over night and woke up an hour early. I was really restless for the last hour so I think that's why my temp was up.

Other than that life here is dull. I am off to germany on thursday so the flights better be on or I will have to kill someone :(

coastgirl · 30/11/2010 18:03

No boozing last night (though I was sorely tempted - I decided that the rest of the bottle can wait until AF comes!) and I set the alarm to wake me up at the same time every day. I hardly ever get my four hours' uninterrupted sleep though as I wake myself up practically every night, which is one reason I am still cautious.

Getdown I can't believe you can hold out until Thursday! That's some willpower.

mousebacon · 30/11/2010 17:53

X post spilt, hope you're well. How's work going? xx

mousebacon · 30/11/2010 17:52

Ooh coast, that looks good! Fingers crossed for tomorrow Smile

xxx

spilttheteaagain · 30/11/2010 17:48

Looks good coastgirl. Sanity check - no boozing last night/sleeping in this morning? Hope you get your BFP tomorrow morning. It'll be the magic 14 dpo so there's a good chance the test will show by then. Here's hoping Grin

GetDown sadly I think condoms are the way to go although they are the work of the devil. I could never test on a work morning. BFP would be too exciting, BFN too depressing!

OP posts:
coastgirl · 30/11/2010 17:42

I was going to do it this morning but I went to the loo half-asleep so forgot! I might hold out until tomorrow and give it my full FMU best Grin

Of course I am crampy and have been to the toilet 100 times today sure that AF has arrived - it really feels like it's coming. I am also not letting on to DH that I am secretly hopeful so have just secretly looked at my chart every five minutes too! Nothing like getting your hopes up, is there...

TerrysNo2 · 30/11/2010 17:39

coast when are you going to test?!?! Grin

coastgirl · 30/11/2010 17:35

Grin for Nix's BFP!

I have had loads of creamy CM after ov but I always have has lots, even from before I went on the Pill (over a decade ago!)

Anyway, got a surprise when I temped this morning - Just when I thought it was all over, I'm back in the game!

GetDownYouWillFall · 30/11/2010 17:04

Yes sex before smear is probably not good Grin You could always use a condom????

Terrys so sorry you have been at A&E again. Your poor DS! And poor you. There is nothing like worrying about your kids. My DH is normally a very sensible, calm headed kind of person, but when DD gets ill he goes into worry-overdrive! It's just natural I think.

I am a bit scared to test TBH.... While I've got no BFN there is still hope? IYSWIM? If I test now and get a BFN I will be gutted Sad So am just going to put it off for a few days Grin

spilttheteaagain · 30/11/2010 16:46

I did wonder... Grin

You must be knackered with all the worry and hospital visits. Have you got loads more appointments coming up for him too?

OP posts:
TerrysNo2 · 30/11/2010 16:41

I think you killed the thread with that comment spilt Grin

Or not..... Smile

Back from our third visit to A&E in 3 days, DS's limp is not sceptic arthritis Hmm. The worry only starts at TTC-ing!!

spilt my CM has been plentiful and varied since OV day - mainly creamy so thats why I know its diff (had no creamy before) but am having odd spots of slightly stretchy stuff too.

GetDown I hear every PG is different. I have my FX for you, I can't believe you haven't tested yet - you patient woman!! Smile

spilttheteaagain · 30/11/2010 13:36

Actually it's probably bad manners to have a shag the day before a smear. Best not Blush

OP posts:
spilttheteaagain · 30/11/2010 13:35

Thanks, that's reassuring.

I think I have got a bit carried away with reading TCOYF and seeing how in almost all charts the CM dries instantly after ovulation and the cervix goes straight back down. Course I got myself fretting about hormonal weirdness or delayed ovulation and all sorts.

I'm not taking my cervix seriously yet as I've not been doing it long enough to have experienced the full range, or be able to judge it reliably.

Hopefully I will be hot again tomorrow and get my crosshairs. Then I will feel happier. (And can have a shag!)
