Hello all :)I am back from my travels. Glad to see everyone is doing well, sorry not to name check, just wanted to give split hugs and xxxx

Not much happening here, am starting to do my OPK s this week, should ov on friday, and picking up DP on Thursday Xmas Grin

I have come back to a poorly cat, she went out tonight and has come back in not able to put any weight on her back leg :( am hoping its just a strain or will have to get her to the vet tomorrow:(

My poor furry baby. Wave to everyone else xx

mousebacon · 06/12/2010 20:32

So sorry you're having a hard day spilt I hope the cemetary brought you a little peace today. It's such a painful thing to never get to do those little things for our babies isn't it? I was so looking forward to the wriggles and kicks.

Hope you other ladies are feeling good and sick, the sicker the better my friend would say!

Pleased to be the voice of reassurance nix I reckon in a couple of weeks well be a nice shade of green (fingers crossed!)

My internet cheapies finally arrived and the line is miles darker so I'm starting to believe I might actually be pg. It's a bloody miracle Xmas Grin

I'm going to ring the epu for an early scan this time next week, all being well, with the hope that they'll be able to see me during the hols. God, I hate fanjo-cam though!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 06/12/2010 20:21

IF hope your appetite comes back lovely and glad you feel better, get some calories down your neck :) ladygg i seem to remember from the private nuchal scan i booked but never made it to last time, they do a viability scan at 6 weeks, 60quid i think, then at 10 or 12 weeks a nuchal is 180. I think i woul probably have one of each plus another at 8 if i could afford it!! Will see.....:)

lady all i can do is eat......! god will be a heifer before i know it... put tons of weight on when i was pg through the summer before MC and didnt really lose it... I am eating like a carthorse now again.... oh well tell myself its all for the 'cause' Xmas Grin

spilttheteaagain · 06/12/2010 19:49

Poor you Lady I remember the sickness well. I found that iced water with a slice of lemon in it was actually quite helpful for the nausea. Smelt nice and fresh.

OP posts:
LadyGoneGaga · 06/12/2010 18:51

Having a private scan, Nix. I don't even book in with the midwife til 20th (same day as the scan coincidentally) so I guess I would have to ask GP for NHS scan. I read though that only offer them if you've had more than one miscarriage although prob depends on area. I could fib and say I'd been spotting or something but would feel like tempting fate! So having a private one but they only do them from 8 weeks so still two more weeks to wait.

Don't worry about the weight loss, Ifat. You will more than likely catch back up when you are feeling better. I can't stop eating despite feeling awful as is the only time I don't actually feel sick. Bit like being seasick.

spilttheteaagain · 06/12/2010 18:17

Thanks girls. I know I am lucky to have a little place where she is. It's an extra grief for those of you who have lost younger babies that you don't even have their little plot of land. Lady you're right it's just not the same when they only live in your heart Sad

Glad your cold is passing IfAtFirst. Your DH sounds lovely and concerned Smile

OP posts:
IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 06/12/2010 18:03

Spilt, so sorry you are having a tough day x LadyG, glad your symptoms are kicking in good an proper! Grin I have finally gottten over the most awful cold I can remember, apart from the tail end of a cough. However, I am absolutley exhausted, so the cold is a useful excuse at work. My appetite has taken a plunge, and over the last couple of weeks I've lost nearly 10lbs (not good). I'm now 5+5 and am panicking at every cramp and every damp sensation. I just want to know that all is OK - boobs are still reasuringly sore :). Phoned the docs on Friday, who said that I don't need to see my GP, and to go straight in and see the MW at 8 weeks (last time doc pretty much said congrats, don't eat this, and go and make an appt at reception to see the MW),so I still dont actually feel as though it's official. DH is well & truly freaking out this time, he mentioned that he had a bit of a panic day on Friday, and doesnt think that he'll be able to cope with the worry for the next(hopefully) 9 months. I woke up with a stomach ache on Sunday (too many chillies in thee previous nights tea I guess), and his face dropped when I complained - although it was just a stomach ache and nothing else (I had to remind him that the baby :) wasnt actually in my stomach) Grin. Sorry for the lack of paragraphs & typos, I spilt water on my laptop the other day and now my backspace & enter button arent working - how annoying!!! Hope you are all well xxxx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 06/12/2010 17:37

spilt Xmas Sad Xmas Sad Xmas Sad big hugs x but really good you can go somewhere peaceful and talk to her.

mrsa i live in congleton. Dh was up on buxton on sat, whilst it was raining in cong it was blizzards up on buxton. I would probably say the roads arent passable in a normal car, from what he said. He said there were lots of cars getting stuck in snowdrifts/ice etc etc... may be fine now but prob check AA roadwatch.

mouse i am so glad you have just said that about symptoms! I am 5wks tomorrow. So far just fuller boobs, starting to be a bit tender, and appetite is changing, other than that i had been worried... veiny boobs anyway from BF DS.... you have re-assured me Xmas Grin

getdown my AF's were totally diff post MC also.... eased off after one or two though.

Sounds awful saying this ladyg FAB you feel rough Xmas Grin and everything crossed for your scan. Did you get that on the nhs due to history of MC or are you going private. I am seeing GP on thurs. Last pg i wasnt seen til 10+ weeks at all, so i want to push for an early scan (last time blighted ovum) but not quite sure what to say!!

LadyGoneGaga · 06/12/2010 17:20

Huge hugs, Spilt. Our angel babies will always be with us in our hearts. I know it's not the same Sad

spilttheteaagain · 06/12/2010 16:19

Sorry you're feeling down terrys. Your temps still look good, there's no reason to give up yet on that basis. If it helps you can see my pregnancy chart on my homepage (it's the purple one). I had a dip at 9dpo too.

Lady I can completely imagine that it must be a nerve wracking week for you. I imagine I'll have exactly the same "agh this is where it all went horribly wrong last time" around my anomaly scan next time. There's nothing you can do really, but if you need handholding or a place to fret then we are all here. All your symptoms sound good (and grim!). Early pregnancy really is the pits, I do feel for all of you in it right now, hope it passes quickly and uneventfully.

Still hot today so that means an 8 day LP and counting... Fingers crossed I could make it to a record 11 days!

Had a bit of a rubbishy day at work again (nothing to do with work, I am just having a hard day) so I left early and went via the cemetery to go and sit with Bobbie and talk to her. It's absolutely beautiful there just now. There's a heavy frost on all the grass and trees and everything is shades of silver and white and so very quiet and peaceful. I sat with her just under the big holly tree for a long time and told her how much I'd looked forward to feeling her wriggle and kick, to spending early maternity leave on the sofa with my bump, to building the birth pool and her being born in it infront of the fire, hearing her first cry, feeling her first breath, seeing her open her eyes and look at me for the first time. I miss her and I miss what might have been.

Great news about the potty training MrsA. My DD is 3 now, but she potty trained at 2.3 as well, and was dry within 48 hours! I think when they are ready, they just somehow "get it".

The poo will come - keep feeding her lots of fruit Grin

Glad to hear your chart is smoother and wow you are on CD14 already!! When do you normally get ov? I would SWI before DH goes just in case!

Not sure when to expect ov this cycle for me. Last cycle was CD23, but that was a WTF cycle. Previous cycles have been getting shorter and shorter and seemed to be heading towards to CD14 mark. So we'll see. Think I will start OPKing on CD11.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 06/12/2010 12:27

Glad those pg are feeling (or starting to feel) rotten Grin. Hope it continues and you're merrily chucking up over the sprouts and turkey on the 25th!

Terry I know how you feel and it's a rotten time. There is still hope as your temp may go back up but the next few days will feel like months. Try to stay positive but remind yourself that if it's not to be - you can have lots of lovely xmas food and drink.
I'm on cd14. No signs of ov, but that's normal for me. DP off to Glasgow on wed, back fri so hoping I hang on till the w'end!
My chart is definately smoother, possibly the effects of acupuncture.

And were you asking about DD's age? She's almost 2.3 and has taken to no nappies with gusto. We're on day 4 and apart from one accident yesterday while she was napping, she's cracked the wees. No poo yet and she's not keen on the travel potty so no idea what I'll do when we need to go out! May search other threads.

Hope all is ok with everyone. Did someone mention Buxton. I have a meeting there on Wed (I live nr Chester) and am debating whether to cancel. Are the roads passable do you know?

GetDownYouWillFall · 06/12/2010 12:24

Awww sorry for your lack of symptoms Terrys - don't give up yet though. Does sound a bit like me last cycle though. Sometimes you just get that feeling that it's not your month, don't you? Well hopefully you will be feeling sore and sick tomorrow Grin

Don't know about talking to the GP about the bleeding? They will probably dismiss me, can't think they would do anything else. Unless I get the nice lady doctor but she is booked up weeks in advance. Will just have to hope it settles down.

Am going to OPK again this cycle, but try not to get too obsessed. Last cycle we did everything right timing-wise, and still nothing. I am going on the principle that if we keep timing it right every cycle, surely it's only a matter of time? Hope so.

Hope everyone is doing ok today.

TerrysNo2 · 06/12/2010 10:49

Sorry for being such a misery guts!!

Anyway - sorry about yesterday GetDown it was you who commented on the thermometer thing - thank you!

GetDown can you go to GP and ask about it? Maybe your AF has changed slightly, I don't know! I hope you get some answers soon.

LadyG symptoms sound good, keep it up! The scan will feel like forever away but come around in no time. I predict a very happy christmas for Chez Gaga! Grin

Mouse happy 5 weeks PG. Smile

Hello everyone else.

TerrysNo2 · 06/12/2010 10:19

not one peep of a symptom Sad

I want to feel sick and sore!!!

LadyGoneGaga · 06/12/2010 10:04

What Getdown said, Terrys. Have you got any symptoms?

Getdown it's still not long since the mc. Things are often a bit weird afterwards - I had a 7 or 8 days AF I think. I should think it's fine.

GetDownYouWillFall · 06/12/2010 09:53

Not necessarily Terrys they still look quite high to me. On my pregnancy chart when I got pregnant with DD my temps took a dip around 9DPO or 10 then climbed again by 14DPO.

I'm on CD6 and still having fresh red bleeding Confused. This has never happened to me before. A bit scared something is wrong Sad

TerrysNo2 · 06/12/2010 09:41

Things on a downward slide like last month, not hopeful now. Feeling a bit Sad

Fedupttcnosuccess · 06/12/2010 09:33

St Nicks, Lady and Mouse: CONGRATULATIONS Grin. What a lovely Christmas present. Good luck. Grin xxx
Sorry to be so neglectful of participating here. Too much on at work and home. Terrys - really hope your ds gets well soon: this cold spell is conducive to colds and chest infections, the poor love WILL grow out of it: but not before worrying you to hell and back( as is the way with kids: not his fault!).
Take care. Good luck to all. Congrats to everyone else who's had a +ve. Apologies again for not reading back. I'm off to work now. Ciao! Smile

mousebacon · 06/12/2010 07:47

With my imaginary 1st day if last period (I counted back 2 weeks from when I ov'd) today makes me 5 weeks pregnant! No real symptoms but I can tell things are in the turn so to speak. I'm more tired than usual and my appetite is changing. Could also feel my boobs aching through the night. I didn't feel really rough till about 7/8 weeks last time so here's hoping I feel really rough by Christmas! That should make cooking for 10 a doddle...

Have a good day ladies, I should probably go to work.

Hope the symptoms stay strong ladygg x

LadyGoneGaga · 06/12/2010 07:27

Hi All.

Mouse can't believe you're managing not to tell DH. Denial is right. How are you feeling?

I'm entering the exhaustion phase. Just feel permanently knackered and if I'm not actually eating at that moment then I feel sick. Isn't putting me off my food though (piglet). Am 6+4 now. Lost my symptoms at 6weeks last time and started bleeding at 7+0 so feeling rather tense this week. This pregnancy does feel differnt though so hoping that is a true reflection of what is going on. Scan is two weeks today!

Terrys I didn't mention your thermometer. But you knew what I'd say Grin!

Hope everyone else is well and all the pregnant ladies are happy and well and sticky.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 06/12/2010 07:25

Wow, mouse, i think your willpower is incredible!! terrys thats good news re DS Xmas Smile that the docs think he will grow out of it. My DS was also prone to chest infecs for his first 18 months after he was born term + 6 with problematic lungs. He seems to have grown out of that now at age 3 (touch wood) so its amazing how resilient they are :) worrying time for you at the min i expect.

Catch up later, gotta hit the road x

mousebacon · 05/12/2010 21:43

I'm not sure terrys I don't even have the urge to tell him! Think I'm suffering from severe denial - thank god I've got MN!

Just want to get to the xmas hols without incident then I'll have to tell him! Have got 2 nights out coming up and think I'm even going to pretend to drink in front of him! Have offered to drive but we'll see what happens Xmas Grin

Pleased your DS is on the mend xx

TerrysNo2 · 05/12/2010 21:36

Not to worry, bought a new one today so only one day should be distorted. I did make a note of it on my chart LadyG.

Anyway, back to my hello's...

Welcome nannyl Smile - I don't understand your chart very well - afraid I have only been FF trained! But I wish you the best of luck with TTC-ing!

mouse I understand your reasons for not telling your DH but how on earth are you keeping that secret - I would burst!!

Nix thanks for asking about DS, he is better now but he seems to just be prone to chest infections which cause seizures, but the good thing is that, although they are terrifying, he seems to recover fine and is developing normally. They think he will grow out of them by the time he's 5 or 6 (although that seems like a long way away right now!) How are you? Glad to hear the lines are getting darker and that the symptoms are starting! LadyG what about you, many symptoms?

I didn't know pig farmers were good with conception days spilt Wink

8dpo today and I really don't feel anything, last month after OV I had cramping from 6dpo. TBH I really don't feel like this is going to be our month, just a feeling.

spilttheteaagain · 05/12/2010 20:08

I would say you can't trust the reading due to the change in thermometer terrys. Bummer to lose it half way through the 2ww!
