huh! I seem to be linking to the old fred. Wonder how that got in there.

Boring chart here

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 17/12/2010 22:08

Hello fellow chartees, things are just starting to get interesting - got first bit of fertile-ish looking CM today. Coincidence that it was the day after my first swig of grapefruit juice?
Who knows.

Anyway thought I'd start by putting my chart up in the new thread.

chart here

Hi Franjam when I looked at your chart, my first feeling was that I thought you OV on day 16, I know you noted EWCM a couple of patches after, I quite often get what looks like it about 4dpo and also just before my period and I think that TCOYF does mention this is possible because of estrogen surges at these points. Anyway, I just thought I'd mention it - feel free to ignore Grin

GetDown sorry I missed your birthday darlin' here have belated birthday cupcake from me. And a tuneless 'Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to yooooouuuuuuuu, Happy birthday to you!'

Iwish urgh, I hope you don't get the cough, it's what I've had most of the week and it's not pretty. I'm quite pleased to be getting over it now just in time for the SWI zone.

Mouse I am more DOOMED. I did a small bit earlier in the week and then have nothing more. I am seriously panicking.

StNix re the antibiotics, that's a hard thing to have to do, but you know that if you didn't and the worst happened you would always suspect the infection. I am just crossing fingers that everything goes safely for you.

Terrys I will repeat it. Those tests cause so much heartache for precisely this reason. Don't rely on them. You are pregnant and have no reason to believe that anything has gone wrong.

Wow, Izz your charts are really showing an amazing progression in terms of OV pulling back into a more normal timeframes. You're looking good lady, well done. I hope DH & I do half as well.

Battery I take as soon as I wake up, no matter when that is. Don't know if that's right or not. Sorry about the spate of pregnancy announcements.

MrsA You could have caught the tail end of the LH surge, or it could have just been strong enough to prompt an egg to pop out quickly? It's a good rise, but I guess you need to see what happens next.

Right better work out what work I still need to do before I forget about it completely for the weekend.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 16/12/2010 15:15

Sorry Getdown I couldn't resist...

Brand new thread HERE

See you there!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 16/12/2010 14:11

Oh god split I'm having cottage cheese and flatbreads for lunch. I need to swap with you!!!

CD 24 today and still no temp rise. But, am trying to stay positive. i keep getting faint opks and had small amount of EWCM this morning and just now (discarded this morning's as we used pre seed last night with mechanical SWI).

It's more clear than last cycle though - definitely not ov. Last cycle was a pain cos my temps crept up and I didn't know if I had or hadn't. SWI every other day seems to be really working for us as even though both tired and mechanical last night, we still felt OK as we get a night oiff tonight!

Looking back at my SWI and cycles in 2007 (TTC No 1 but wasn't charting but did note on my calendar when af arrived and when we swi), my cycles then were sometimes longer than usual and if I am generally a late ov, then I reckon we got timing wrong most of the time. I always assumed everyone ov by CD20, yet when we conceived DD, AF arrived on 2 Dec but I didn't get bfp till CD42 and I reckin I ov on CD25 or 26, given my data.

I also think I may have had a MMC in May 2007. I had a 56 day cycle and I don't remember doing many HPT (obviously did some but perhaps I gave up too soon). I didn't get a stong +ve with DD till CD46.
The cycle following the 56 day one was then a 42 one. From what I've been reading here that could have been a wtf cycle perhaps?

I guess it doesn't matter now but I'm amazed how little I knew back then and I've passed lots of academic exams!!

Sorry for mememe - one of those days

Oh and chart here

Hugs to all, especially fedup.

Iwish · 16/12/2010 12:56

Thanx split that's fab. I have input fever and it seems to have discarded it. SWI again tonight then Xmas Smile. DP had a rest last nite so back in full swing tonight hehe.
My word you are having some lunch! Good on you girl get that bean fed.

spilttheteaagain · 16/12/2010 11:49

Iwish your temp today is high enough that I would mark it as "fever" given that you aren't well. Then FF will ignore it. The dashed lines mean it's not sure anyway.

Looking at all your other data CD10 is nonsense as your cervix is LFC then and has got higher and more open now. Also fertile CM only starts on CD11. I reckon todays temp is a rogue and needs ignoring and it looks like you are just about to ovulate so do some SWI! Grin

For my lunch today I am having a big bowl of roast potatoes with apple sauce, gravy and lots of salt. And a bacon sandwich for starters. I have gone a bit mad for crispy fatty potatoes of the chips/roasties/crisps variety! I remember this from last time...

(thanks ladybeenkissing, tis a pain in the arse)

Hi all.

battery maybe this random cm is a good sign for you? :).
£325! flipping eck! My parents took their dog last year as she got hit by a car and had to have her hip sorted out and it cost £1400!!

Well FF says I OV'd cd10??! Could this be because I had a v high temp as I woke up with a cough - looks like the start of a cold :(. I havnt even had a +ve opk yet and only just getting watery cm the past couple of days. my chart

How is everyone else?

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 15/12/2010 22:49

FedupwithTTC I'm very sorry to hear about your MIL. In my experience, 'crying for no reason' is crying for a very big reason that you can't keep in the box. The tears leak out whenever they get the opportunity, which is just as well, as they flood otherwise. Big hugs for you chicken.

I am determined to get a good night's sleep tonight, so have to read and dash but I just wanted to say a big 'that's so shit' to getdown and spilt, redundancy is a horrible thing to be faced with. Really sorry.

Bored bored bored with my cycle at the moment. We'll start up the SWI fairly soon I guess, but I tend to leave it quite late as we battle the mechanical sex aspects too. Think it's inevitable. I'm not using my CBFM this month - it's my feeble attempt to 'relax' a bit over Christmas. Hmm

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2010 21:48

MrsP I'm with you on the opks. I'm on CD23, due to ov any day now but suspect it might have been today as ov pain dying away. I haven't had any +opks this cycle but have had faint lines, which i suspect means I missed the window, so I think I might stop testing.

If last cycle anything to go by, even if I do ov today, my temp will rise slowly till friday, so no clear day. Hey ho. Off to bed soon, it's our day 'on'

batteryturkey · 15/12/2010 21:21

Hello :)

Welcome rosie

getdown and split rubbish about your jobs - I really hope something comes up for you soon x
fedup - it sounds like you are going through a tough time - take care of your self too x
iwish I seem to have gone CM mad - I know I have ov'd but am now getting more cm - who knows what my body is thinking!
mrsa I am also due on xmas day - we can be cycle buddies :)

Cat news - the £325 is for xrays and drugs, etc -she hasn't had any treatment yet! She has done her ligament but its specialist op so will cost a bomb. I don't know what to do :( she is insured but I still have to pay 20% (more than insurance - never go with them)

No other news from me - I am so tired I could weep, but it's that time of year I suppose.

Big wave to everyone else xxx

spilttheteaagain · 15/12/2010 21:18

rosie I am indeed. A massive 4 weeks and 3 days today.

Knackered today though and am now in bed after sleeping on the sofa from 8pm. Here we go again Smile

MrsP81 · 15/12/2010 20:56

Hi everyone and welcome to rosie. I think I know you from a past bus.

getdown sorry to hear about redundancy (and you spilt). I am on CD5 today so nothing exciting happening here. Just waiting for AF to go away properly and then the SWI can commence!

I didn't get a proper +ve OPK last month although I did get some pale lines so I used those as a guide. I've decided not to use them this month as I think they stress me out a bit.

Hugs to fedup, hope things start looking up soon.

Hope all you pg ladies have some lovely symptoms. Xmas Smile

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 15/12/2010 20:44

PMSL at washing line CM Xmas Grin mrsa

POO BOO and HISS getdown and spilt re the job situation. :(

welcome rosie* this certainly is the lucky one!

fedup sorry you are having such a hideous time with MIL sickness and hospital. Cant be easy am sure xx

Iwish · 15/12/2010 20:26

Hi mrsa 'twas I who mentioned the strange cm. It is different to the ewcm I get, usually (tmi alert) it's fairly thick ish and very stretchy but this was very thin bit still a bit stretchy....wierd.

Hi fedup nice to meet you. Sorry your MIL is sick, hope she gets better and hope DHs return helps to relieve the pressure and so you don't feel so alone.

rosie. Thanx :). My DP and I are trying every other day then when we see +ve opk will do every day. He's having a rest today and is happy about it... Charming! Bless him tho I have worn him out these last few months.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2010 20:23

Oops, welcome Rosie didn't mean to ignore you!

rosieposey · 15/12/2010 19:59

Thanks for the welcome all :)

getdown i didnt go to the doctors in the end as i knew it would mean lots of poking around and epau visits probably and i hate those places Blush but i was really worried about those faint positives so i went to the nurse and asked for a smear as i was around a year overdue and as you know i was worried about cancer or a tumour, thank goodness it all came back fine so i thought i would try again this month. I havent done anymore internet cheapy hpt's but I did notice that i got all of the problems of faint positives with IC hpts and never anything on clearblue or FRER so im sticking with waiting till im a day late and will only use non IC hpts just to put my mind at ease as i dont seem to have much luck with them.
So sorry to hear about your job - what a shitty time of year for it to happen :(

fedup i am so sorry to hear about your MIL :( hope she makes some progress soon.

iwish havent looked at your chart but just to say i get some really random days for ov - this month as i have said its the earliest this month and it has been as late as cd23 but i think ewcm seems to be the best indicator of impending ovulation.

Ohhh i was just thinking the same thing about 'mech' sex. For us it used to be quality not quantity especially since we had DS but since we have been ttc there is a 5/6 day concentrated swi time and by the end of it we are ready for a rest!

spiltthetea are you pg? read upthread a little and I will try and read back a bit but if so congratulations :)

Fedupttcnosuccess · 15/12/2010 19:38

Thankyou Gerdown, MrsA and Spilt. I feel so alone at the moment. I'm very strong normally, but this has knocked me for six- the reality of the fragile nature of life, it's just really shocking when it's this close. Sorry for the melancholy. I'll probably find another avenue to vent my sad thoughts. I just keep crying for no reason.
Keep positive ladies. You are too kind. Really wish you all the luck in the world. FX for lots more BFPs. xxx

spilttheteaagain · 15/12/2010 19:29

Oh Fedup how awful Sad
Me me me posts are fine, we all need to write them sometimes. I really hope the hospital can help your MIL. Take care of yourself x

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2010 19:28

Oh Getdown and spilt sorry to hear about your job woes. Whatever your circumstances, change is always hard to cope with, even if it's a good thing in the long run. DP was made redundant out of the blue in 2005 and then had to start legal proceedings to get his redundancy pay. Twas a hard hard time, thank god we had legal protection on the house insurance - they paid for a barrister.
But it actually worked out well. He used his redundancy money, when it finally arrived, to start his own business and it's going quite well now plus he's his own boss.

Getdown fight you for the new thread creation Xmas Grin

And whoever mentioned it - how do you have stretchy AND watery CM?? Mine is tailing off now - still EWCM but very clear and less stretchy. When I get bucket loads, it is often opaque and cloudy but is so stretchy I could hang my washing on it Xmas Grin

Fedup big hugs. Hope things are bearable Xmas Sad

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/12/2010 19:18

Oh I am so sorry to hear that Fedup Sad your poor MIL! And it's very hard on you too, to have to be with her at the hospital esp. with DH away.

Hope she picks up a bit soon.

Fedupttcnosuccess · 15/12/2010 19:13

Hi ladies!
A very warm welcome to Rosie! Missed your absence from these threads. Seriously wishing you lots of luck in getting your BFP this time around FX.
Please forgive me for just waving to all of you again, and wishing you lots of good luck! Back in hospital with mil after the weekend: literally out for under a day, her condition deteriorated drastically upon discharge, so we're back at the hospital again.
Apologies for not reading back. Sorry for the me me me post. Dh will be back by the end of the week, so hopefully there'll be less pressure. Poor mil. Can't bear to see her suffer. Very emotional at the mo. Keep my place please ladies. Hope to see lots of BFPs on my return.
Not the same posting from iPhone.
xxxxx

Iwish · 15/12/2010 19:01

Hi split sorry to hear you have had sone bed news too. Fingers crossed you get the outcome you want.

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/12/2010 18:58

Oooo ME ME! For starting the next thread Grin

Sorry to hear you've had similar bad news spilt re your job. I don't think I'd actually have to go until next October, but if I take voluntary redundancy I get more money but would have to go by end of March. Really wishing I was pregnant so I could have a kind of "end point" and not have to worry about getting another job Sad

Welcome rosieposey I remember you! Didn't you keep getting really really faint positives for a while? And you were going to the dr. about it? What happened? Anyway, hope you've had a nice break from TTC and coming back feeling strengthened and refreshed for another try!

Iwish · 15/12/2010 18:57

getdown I think the last cycles have been 12/13 and 18 ish but not 100% sure as I wasn't temping etc. I just went off when I had ewcm which only lasted one day. I have had some random cycles - 27, 25, 26 32. I hope I OV soon, I'm just so impatient.
I'm so sorry you are being made rudundant, it's awful especially around christmas. I got made redundant 5 years ago on 18th December and again this January but have managed to get a job within the company.

Welcome Rosie hope you are ok? Fingers crossed this will be your month Xmas Smile

spilttheteaagain · 15/12/2010 18:50

Oh GetDown I am sorry Sad How long until you have to actually leave?

Weirdly I had similar news today. Our department restructure has been announced and I am one of 4 people who have to apply for just 2 jobs, so 50:50 that I will be redundant. If I am I'll be finishing around June/July which actually would be fabulous if this pregnancy sticks! Got to apply by end Jan for the jobs.

Hello to everyone else and welcome rosie Smile

Now... who wants to volunteer to start the next thread?? As digi observed on page 1, legend has it the thread starter gets a BFP and here I am at 4+3!
