Hello all just lurking quickly in between work loving all the chat about where the thread started I remember finding you all while I was in limbo while they decided whether or no my first pregnancy was viable. I remember reading old threads and reading your story Vjay and hoping that your next pregnancy would progress well which it obviously did!! I remember how low and broken that I was the first time I posted and how you all helped me through the worst days of my life. I am so grateful to have found you all and so pleased that we have had so many graduates over these years and looking forward to when bakingprince joins the graduate list. And yes I love the name bakingprince

Love to you all

VJay · 03/02/2011 16:30

My first post on the thread was on 19th Oct Smile you should be able to see me now mermaid, then I changed to VJay on the 8th November.

It's quite hard to read how desperate and sad I was at the time. In one post I wrote that I was only trying to get pregnant for a third time so it would fail then testing could begin, but villagemum wrote back and said that the third pg may not fail and I would have a baby at the end.....wow!

Right onwards and upwards ladies Smile

VJay · 03/02/2011 16:22

mermaid I used my real name like the dope I am, I'll pm you in a mo xx,

4everhopeful · 03/02/2011 14:10

Still lurking the old threads! Sad in places but mainly oh so very Grin Grin You girlys are funny, and so sweet, just got to the new thread on conception that clever barbie did, and we were all scared to join initially! Look at us now!

Mermaid you are making me laugh with your talk of mullets fags and perms! Grin Gotta love the 80's!

Damn i need to get in the bath and sort Summers lunch, could do this all day!

mermaidspurse · 03/02/2011 13:56

My male PE teacher had a permGrin Please God don't bring the perm back. work must work.

monkeybumsmum · 03/02/2011 13:43

Meant to catch up this afternoon, but have just been reading back from our earliest thread... And mermaid you do make me laugh Smile

mermaidspurse · 03/02/2011 13:16

I think i found the thread the day i came home from hospital after my mmc..in fact dh found it for me...and here i still am!

I think i recommended it to villagemum who then invited someone else and it snowballed from there...seems like a life time ago but sometimes it still feels like yesterday Hmm

Will be back later to post, its dinner, bath and bed here now.

Did have a chuckle and snort at mermaid and her fag Shock you dont strike me as someone who would smoke!!!!

VJay · 03/02/2011 12:49

I just advanced searched my old name and I found that first thread blue, it's quite Sad, but also quite happy too as alot of us joined on on that thread Smile, I saw monkey mermaid and 4ever, and barbie was the first one who welcomed me, thanks chick Smile

VJay · 03/02/2011 12:40

Ha ha I remember when emmsy popped in to see us, I felt I had to curtsy Grin

Big well done to your ds mermaid and I did lol at you with your fag tucked into your shorts. I normally walked the cross country and had a natter, so unlike me HmmGrin

4ever your posts made me smile Smile

blue I remember barbie, vm and mm when I first joined the board and I was under a different name back then, I think we joined at about the same time Smile

lbm lego is a big hit in our house too, hope you got some fab stuff Smile

Gotta go it's an open afternoon at cjays school today and I've baked a ton of biscuits for it.

mermaidspurse · 03/02/2011 08:15

emmsy did get her happy ending, I think she popped in many threads ago to say hello, it was like beeing visited by royaltyGrin

I think the very first emmsys thread begun in early sept 08. Blimmey that's a lot of threads ago.

My ds came 2nd in his cross country heat yesterday and is in the County finals next weekGrin deffo does not take after his mum who used to do cross country with a fag tucked in her shorts for a smoke along the seafront half way roundGrin
He is walking around with his medal on with a big grin plastered on his face.

moon don't panic, we must write your list, have you started? It will be ok, it/x

waves to everyone

4everhopeful · 03/02/2011 01:32

Im an idiot, should soooooo be asleep, instead found our old threads, part 2 and 3, one where i announced 4th preg, i actually left emmsys to go to preg board after mermaid, vm and annie had all mc again, i was very wobbly and found it hard posting on mc site, then i mc again the next day Sad All your messages of support were so lovely.. Poor mermaid and I were both preg with our 4th together.. Im still determined for your happy ending too hon.. One thing made me particuarly smile was sabs saying she had a dream that she gave birth to a baby girl and saw it as a sign, and it came true! I really must sleep now!

4everhopeful · 02/02/2011 23:57

Late night lurk and all nostalgic reading back on history of our thread! Did it only start in sept 08 then, cos thats when i joined after my 3rd mc? (Sad) Was sure I lurked for a bit before plucking up courage to post.. Hmm Id just stumbled across it whilst madly googling the huge nuchal fold my 3rd baby had, it was the header 'emmsys angels, support for mummies of lost angels' that did it for me, A, acknowledgment i was actually a mummy, B, Emmsys, and you all know my RL name, felt like such a sign!

I wonder how Villagemum is? All i know is what we have here is just so bloody incredible and rare and wonderful, and that you amazing ladies have been the ultimate lifeline and support through otherwise utterly dark and awful experiences, to keep the faith and hope, with all the virtual hugs, hairstrokes, chocolate and many laughs, thrown in for good measure is truly special, to have found genuine friends along the way is truly a blessing, and to have created 17 new lives is truly an actual miracle! Grin Grin Grin Our lost angels will never be forgotten, but the way we have been united by them is just so precious.. As always, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support and I always will.. I hope each of you know you mean the world to me! Love you all lots x x x x x

bluesatinsash · 02/02/2011 20:53

"Emmsy's Angels" was started in Sept 2008 by an 'Emma' in the MC section for 'mummies of lost angels'. (I had just had my first mc and it was top of mc topics but I wrongly thought it was for stillbirth so didn't open thread until 'invited' by Villagemum in the Nov...). Think Buddha (formerly Mollie) was on original thread but it moved onto conception. Barbie was also on original thread but stayed in MC and kept the name. We stayed in MC until 15th Feb 09 then moved to conception with the "onwards and upwards" banner and here we have stayed ever since and welcomed 17 (and counting) "Emmsy's Graduates" into the world Smile

Vjay - tried to search and found 3 in MC and 10 in conception - feels more than that tho'!!

DH is away to London tonight and I'm going downstairs to watch 'thirtysomething' taped from new Sky Atlantic channel. I love, love, love that series (first aird in 1988) and as I'm hanging on to my thirties by the thinest of threads thought it appropriate. Michael in it is gorgeous

LBM I'm sure you already have it but DS1 has the LEGO sticker book which has mini LEGO men stickers for all the ranges 'Atlantis' 'Space Police' Harry Potter' etc. Big bonus is it comes with lots of extra stickers and DS1 has them all over his bedroom furniture (fret not they are eay to peel off Grin.

laterladies x

littlebellsmum · 02/02/2011 20:17

Emmsy is a person - I think it was her friends who started the MC chain that we all joined after she had left. I came accross Emmsy on another chain - if anyone knows better, let me know!!

All is well in the LBM house - BabyBelle is eating for England and we are planning DS's 6th birthday party for week afte next ,. Lego theme and should be lots of fun!

Hope your boys are better soon, louey

Got to go - lego to buy!

loueytb3 · 02/02/2011 19:28

ok - so why was it called Emmsys's?? I understand the weebles bit.

blue poor Ben Sad. I had to come home early from work as Luke has come down with a temperature although now he seems as right as rain....

Calpol makes a hell of a mess. We used syringes for ages and had to literally pin Luke down to get it in him. He used to projectile spray it back out again. Now he requests it Confused

Have sore throat, bleurgh. Can't be doing with illness. Have too much work to do!

Hi vjay hope you are all ok up there!

VJay · 02/02/2011 18:09

Nope can't seem to make it work, but there have been ALOT! Smile

VJay · 02/02/2011 18:06

Lol at hand to bottle to baby coordination Grin, blue mine is not good at ANY time, unless I use a syringe I spill it every time!

I joined Emmsys in September 2008 too but I think it was going before then, the weebles was added later for 4ever. I will advance search Emmsys in a mo and see what comes up.

mermaid how are you, not too drunk I hope Smile

Right back in a mo....

bluesatinsash · 02/02/2011 13:42

louey - also looked at the link and also answered for me what the PESH and BESH threads stood for Grin

We must be up there for number of consequetive threads... Hmm So we started in Sept 2008... Someone (Vjay) do the math Grin I would reckon about 20-25?

LOL at your DT's being like dogs in their reins. DS1 didn't tolerate them either and used to just stop a la mermaid's DS. at you carrying him like a big handbag Grin. I just used to carry DS1 everywhere as I'm a big softy and it was good toning for my arms Wink.

mermaid - hope your star is shining and your bottles of wine chilling after getting through last week's ffffhhhgfff.

moon 30 is nothing. Park your PLAN for the weekend, kick your heels up and start writing your questions for the doc when your hangover clears next Monday. Happy b'day for Sat.

Benjy's been il, full of the cold but on the mend today. Slept in with me on Monday night and (white) duvet was like a calpol masacre yesterday morning. Lilac streaks everywhere. My hand to bottle to spoon to baby co-ordination is not good at 3am Grin.

cupcakefairy · 01/02/2011 20:50

Haha louey I just looked at that link you put up (couldn't look on my phone) love it :) one of us should definitely get in there and explain! I want to join some other groups now!

mermaid I know, it's pretty much torture trying to be good with dh's baking to contend with.
And in case anyone is actually interested all I did was not eat anything sweet at all during the week, have only one treat sometimes two at weekends, and have a salad with some kind of protein for lunch (no carbs) + lots of walking ..couple of lbs a week lost and yippee :)
Sorry to hear about the cegfuqegbfkje inquest :( onwards and upwards.

moon hand holds for you. Can totally understand you being emotional, you're totally putting yourself out there by going to doc's and actually dealing with this all, it's bound to be scary. But remember you've been pregnant TWICE before, it WILL happen again, I don't doubt that for a second. I literally can't wait for the day we're all celebrating your baby's birth :)

loueytb3 · 01/02/2011 20:37

mermaid big hugs - that must have been a very difficult thing to have to go through and brought up a lot of sad memories. Did they give a verdict?

moon Its a shame you have to wait a bit longer but I think your DF is right - enjoy your birthday and try to forget about the appointment and all that entails.

BlueMoon1981 · 01/02/2011 19:27

oooh just noticed i share my birthday with curlys and gracies girls :) i dont remember that at all, i must have been in my own little world when that happened.

BlueMoon1981 · 01/02/2011 19:25

the doctors cant see us until NEXT friday Angry have got aaages to get myself into a right old state now :( but df says its a good thing as its my 21st 30th birthday on saturday, im not sure why thats good, but hey. been very teary about the whole thing now we are finally doing something about it and scared in case we get told bad news. and i am not ready to be 30 yet, and i dont feel like im in the place where i imagined i would be by now. being a grown up is crap sometimes.

mermaidspurse · 01/02/2011 16:59

my ds would just sit down and refuse to walk when reined so I used to carry him like a big handbagGrin

barbie we will all so be thinking of you on the 16th. A big gold shiny star for being brave and dignified. Glad your mum will be there for you.

louey if you can't eat cake now when can you?

cupcake Envy how did you do that with all that cake your dh cooks. did you starve or just use restraint. I think I have heavy bones and they are getting heavier.

vjay way to go girllll said with an american tanned accent. Ace loss you will be back on that bike soon with some better weather too. Hope the boys all feel better - actually i am getting confused with who is poorly cos there are so many bugs around.

blue ipod I cannot buy an iphone cos i would lose it, would fall in the sea like all the others usually do. Yell out some belters this weekend - and food for thought apparantly opera singers burn 2 calories a minuteSmile

curly hope cgirl is feeling better poor wee thing. she will be back to bouncing around just like that calpol advert before you know it.

moon just checking to see if you have gone yet? thinging of you.

It was the inquest last week finally which was all a bit of a sjfhjisjsaijfsijf but it is a new week this week and am awarding myself a star and bottle of wine (or 2)
Sorry about your photos mls must put mine onto the thing i bought and havn't used after barbie lost hers.
Waves to lbs gorgeous 4ever and jools who I miss and qa* I expect you are on holiday now but fingers crossed.
