X-post neekowhiterabbitfromalice inwonderland -

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2010 14:20

Barbie - your body will start to reabsorb the milk but you can keep expressing to relieve the pain over the next few days. Expressing will signal your body to keep producing milk but not to the same extent as a baby suckling. Once it gets less painful, stop expressing and your boobs will get softer over the next week or two.

BUT are you wanting to give up compeltely? your Sad makes me think you would like to continue but with bottles too to give you a break/allow your DH to feed her? Remember Neeko's H is now successfully combining after getting H to finally accept a bottle..

I gave up overnight/cold turkey but I wanted to switch to bottle and didn't feel Sad about it in the end as I was exhausted.

Thinking about you, these next few days x

cupcake - awww, what gorgeous photos Smile. Wee Jude in his tank top, and you and your DH look great (still think he looks like 'man of the hour' Prince William Grin). Cake is gorgeous too.

Louey - how are you today? I think you're having another boy too but my predicitions are usually wrong Grin. Already got a couple of bids for my stuff. I bought my IO dress for £120ish and sold it for £75, was well chuffed. Go on treat yourself safe in the knowledge you will get some $$ back.

4ever - lovely thing to do giving S's newborn clothes to charity. I gave huge bag of Ben's baby clobber to our local family centre who work with disadvantaged families but you get less and less duplicates/unworns as they get older so I become a bit more "oooh, could I sell this on and fund my Mini Boden addicition...? Grin" How's the ear? I said how's the EAR?!

MLS - SNORT! Can just picture your DD1 in an age 3 babygrow matching DD2 Smile. Time for all that and pray they're both in the same style league as my neices are polar opposites: tomboy/girlie girl = no matching allowed!

mermaid can I request some lovely spice candles for the greenhouse? There's a dear. Also slankets for all Grin

Vjay how's the car? All cosy and snug? You must post piccies of the boys in the Nan knitted cardy's Smile

Buddha - how's E's sleeping been?

Sabs - belated Happy Eid! The diet starts... well once all the good food has bene eaten Smile

neeko - Busy cherishing your last few weeks of being a SAHM. What are your plans for DH's b'day?

BQ - every day closer to your 12-week scan.

Moon if you're lurking, please go and see your Doc x

Neeko · 17/11/2010 14:08

Hi
Grin again for louey

Hug for Moon

Lovely pics Cupcake

Slow down Jools

Great weight loss Sabs and LBM

Great weight gain Kitty Smile

Barbie express enough to stop mastitis and cut down gradually. Might be best to freeze your milk and give it after she's been happily taking the bottle for a few days.

So sorry for such a short post. Don't know where my time goes. Hope everyone else is ok.

barbie1 · 17/11/2010 13:08

ouch!!!!

12hours into going cold turkey on boobie feeding! ouch! ouch! just expressing a full bottle full, mum is doing the whole bottle battle tonight, we are are with 3 different milks Hmm

If she takes the bottle its the end of breast feeding Sad so....what do i do with my milk Confused do i just drain it off.

Sorry ill be back later to do personals x

Finally managed to upload a couple of christening pics! Can't believe how long it takes me Blush (I always have to resize the pics cos they're too big!)

cupcakefairy · 17/11/2010 11:23

Hi ladies,
Just had to add my Grin for Louey and givemoon a massive hug.
Moon honey... please don't give up hope. Am I right in thinking BQ's lost lo was before both of yours? And now she is well on her way to a successful pregnancy and conceived naturally. It WILL happen my lovely, and it will be at just the right time. You are still so young too. Have a blue style shoulder squeeze from me and thanks for sticking around with us all; we love you!

BuddhaBelly · 17/11/2010 11:01

Thank goodness louey that all is ok Smile I couldn't wait to get on today to make sure everything was ok so at least I can Smile for the rest of the day now.
Barbie & I both had placenta previa, my first bleed with it was at 15 weeks, but not sure how early it's possible to detect? Perhaps get them to check at the 12 week scan, although I have to say they didn't notice mine at that one Hmm
Moon Sad I wish I could make both you and Jools magically pg myself Hmm you have both waited for so long and I understand how difficult it must be for you. I know before I had a successful pg that I was on a mixed thread and I went through stages of wanting to post and stepping back, it's hard and we do all appreciate what you are going through but all the sympathies in the world won't compensate for that baby Sad I hope this doesn't come across as patronising I just wanted you to know that I do think about you both a lot x

littlebellsmum · 16/11/2010 23:13

Hurrah for loeuybean - holding in there and stessing his mum ( and yes, I hate tio say it but I think it;s another boy!)

4ever I know - where has the time gone? Still haven't weaned Jo - she isn't looking for it and I'm too lazy busy - not sure how I'm going to fit it in.
And she's not moving or anything - but is happy and last week slept through. However she has now developed an 11pm cough that keeps her awake and is really affecting her/ our sleep. But she'll get it sorted in the end and is such a happy little soul that even night waking isn't bothering me. Major achievement today as for the first time I didn't have to wash the wraps when the nappies came home from nursery - her poo was contained!!

sabs what a great weight loss! I too am at Slimming world, started in mid September and have lost 1 stone so far. Did only maintain this week but tbh, I've been a bit away with the faires with it this week and so am just happy I didn't gain!

Got to go - work calls ( and then sleep...)

bluesatinsash · 16/11/2010 20:40

Just a quickie post to add my 'pheeeeew' to louey Smile. Loved cupcakes post about you giving hope to new newly pg ladies in a few months time who have early bleeding.. Its just sooo stressful though, bloody knicker checking every minute of the day for weeks... I remember having 12 week scan with DS1 and bleeding the next day. That morning waiting to get another scan was sheer torture as we'd told everyone the night before and I'm so so supersticious and was so angry at myself for daring to believe. All OK though and he's now a bouncing 4.5 year old Smile.

Wonder what it must be like to sail though a pg with no scares Hmm Envy..

Moon - echo what the others say. Please, please go to Docs and talk it all through. A simple blood test may be all that is needed. Even seeing doc and feeling looked after can be all that's needed for our minds to tell our bodies to get to it...

Back at work tomorrow so will do big catch up on lunch break x

loueytbg · 16/11/2010 20:25

moon just to echo 4ever, there is a bfp with your name on it. Msybe feeling empty is your way of not getting your hopes up every month???

4ever but what if you have twins next time round Grin Grin Grin You can imagine how much stuff we have. Our loft is full but I refused to throw anything away until we knew if we were going to have any more and how many. Re epic post - its the least I could do after you've all been so fab in supporting me Smile

Sausage and mash for tea Grin and a night on the sofa

4everhopeful · 16/11/2010 20:07

Oh moon im donning the psychicbarbie hat and predicting you to be that 3rd bfp, dont give up hon, any more thoughts on going to the docs?

Louey im still very Grin for you! Did think maybe too early for placenta previa, hopefully its implantation like you say and it wont happen again! Very impressed by your epic post after the day you have had!

Mls Shock wow 5wks already! Time is flying! Next kids range starts from 3-6m i think so you can do matching, my nieces do on special occasions and they are 3 and 9, too cute! As for me, Ive held onto S special dresses and extra cute bits for our (hopeful) next lo, all in her moses waiting to go in the loft, but we had way too many 0-6m stuff, alot was brought for her too, so cant keep everything!

Barbie bless Dollys 1st clarks! I was looking at them when in there with my mum last week, adorable! Totally enjoy your time with your mum and dh and we will keep you company when they go!

Just watched the royal interview Smile shame S will be too young to remember the wedding cos im sure we all remember watching Dianas! Who else has daydreamed that their dd will marry their first ds?! Hmm Blush Grin

BlueMoon1981 · 16/11/2010 19:15

relieved even Blush

BlueMoon1981 · 16/11/2010 19:14

phew again louey im soo pleased bean has grown and all is well Grin this one is obviously a boy, as a girl just wouldnt do that to you more than once! seriously though, am very relived for you, and keep my fingers crossed the next few weeks sail by uneventfully (is that even a word Hmm)

for those who have asked about me, sorry i am not being rude by not replying, im just trying to take a step back from everything, lurking and only posting when people are weebling. i am strangely ok at the minute, i think i feel a little empty, but not sad or angry, and starting to wonder about a life without babies in it.

loueytbg · 16/11/2010 17:30

xpost mls - think its too early to find placenta. I think if I bleed again I possibly won't panic as much as I did last night (esp if I feel sick still). Can't believe DD2 is 5 weeks Shock and what fab weight gain. Clearly mummy's milk is doing the trick Grin

loueytbg · 16/11/2010 17:28

vjay that's exactly what I said to barbie too Smile The cardigans sound lovely - my nan used to do something similar for us at christmas and we really looked forward to them (we rarely had new clothes so it was a real treat). Wonderful that you've got a car now, just as its got freezing (even down south - had to de-ice car yesterday). Does that mean you won't be cycling any more??

sabs Eid Mubarak (I am learning...) and wow what fab weight loss!!!! Well done you! Don't worry about the lovely food you are going to eat now - its a special occasion and we all love those. That is why we diet Grin

barbie I know we chatted - but you must put some pics of dolly in her new shoes when you get a chance. It sounds as though you are having a lovely time even if she isn't taking to bottles still. Make the most of it. What your dr says makes sense - hopefully its just that. Have decided this one is a girl, its causing too much trouble already!!!!

jools hello you - saw that work was mad again - any chance you can move somewhere where you can work normal-ish hours??? Yes I know what you mean about the early weeks of pg, I guess you just have to hang on to the fact that there will (hopefully) be a baby at the end of it. I am still holding out hopes for you

4ever 6 months!! Wow, summer is growing so quickly. Does she like her solids? Wondered about placenta previa but poss too early??? Def not caused by sex - haven't let DH near me for a few weeks and there is no chance at the moment (poor DH he is feeling somewhat deprived)

cupcake looking forward to seeing christening pics when J lets you get back on the computer again. They have a 6th sense you know....How wonderful that he had 4 great-grandparents there, that must be really unusual.

mermaid thanks my love - yes I'm exhausted but very glad to put a Smile on your face Grin

buddha its not easy juggling work and small children I know. Hope the meltdown helped a bit. Sometimes it just needs to be done.

mls must go and peek at the latest pics you've put up on FB. Loved the ones of DD1 playing beauty salon on her little sis Wink

blue how did the ebaying go? I've got a few bits that I've been meaning to try and sell for a while, including 2 (yes 2) double buggies. May well be asking for tips in the near future....Funnily enough I did a search last week on there for isabella oliver dresses as I was thinking of getting one for work but also have a couple of big parties next year. They seem to go for a lot secondhand though so maybe better ordering a new one and selling it on.

monkey hope the school trip goes well (26 kids - eek!!!) and bless your DS for starting to speak in french.

LBM Thank you for the text - DTs are at the childminders so have had a respite this afternoon. How is little babybelle - has her cough cleared up??

BQ how are you feeling - when I was pg with DTs my symptoms peaked at around 9-10 wks and then started to improve after that. They didn't disappear really until 13-14wks and although I felt pretty rough from 10-14 weeks it wasn't as bad as it had been. I say all this with the hope that you start to feel slightly better in the near future.

moon thank you! How are you feeling at the moment.

curly fab poo story!!!!! Can you believe that we don't go out with wipes anymore (it does happen I promise). I do remember going through tonnes of the bloody things though. Used to wait for deals and bulk buy them - with twins we did that a lot Confused.

Hope I haven't missed anyone out (and I'm sorry if I have!)

I've told work what is going on this afternoon and DH told his boss (needed to explain why he had to be at home today). My lovely boss is v excited (more so than me at the moment!) She has 3 DCs (grown up now) and thinks its a lovely number. Should be back at work tomorrow unless I start bleeding again (just bits of brown at the mo). I really don't need any more scares - I think I've really had my share already!!!! I am increasingly looking like a weeble - more so than last time and don't have many clothes that are comfortable to wear, particularly for work. At least I won't have to explain to my boss why I suddenly look so fat. Had grand plans of going swimming/ to the gym this pg to try and keep fit but that is out of the window at the moment.

DS2 seemed ok this morning so was duly packed off to the childminders and nursery. He obviously hasn't thrown up again otherwise we would have been called. Feel slightly guilty as he's not supposed to go for 2 days after he's been sick but it seemed to be a one-off.

That's quite enough from me I think!!!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 16/11/2010 16:54

Louey Grin Grin Grin thank heavens for that. What a horrible couple of weeks you've had. Yes you may have more bleeds but hopefully next time (if there is a next time) you'll realise that you might be one of the unlucky few that is prone to bleeding in pregnancy. I've got a friend who had massive bright red bleeds in both of her pregnancies & she gave birth to healthy boys both times. Have they checked the position of the placenta as maybe that's what is causing it?

Vjay I am an Ebay expert (even though I say it myself!) & I currently have 999 feedbacks & I am just waiting for one more to get my gold star! If you need any help let me know. I wish I had a nan to knit my girls matching cardigans.

Happy Eid Sabs hope you enjoy eating all the yummy food you've made.

4ever dd2 was 5 weeks yesterday! I had her weighed this morning & she's gone from 7lb 9 two weeks ago to 8lb 13 so I'm more than happy with that. Aren't you saving your dd's clothes for your next lo? Hmm

Blue I love the thought of your gorgeous boys in their matching clothes! I so want to do that but I don't think Ill get anything for dd1 to match a baby-gro for dd2!

Right my time has run out, I'll be back later.

VJay · 16/11/2010 15:59

Oh louey I am sooo pleased for you GrinGrin

barbie you make the most of your mum and dh, we can natter away when they're away Smile

Happy Eid sabs Smile, enjoy you're feast and well done on your weight loss.

Battery about to go....

barbie1 · 16/11/2010 14:17

Rushes in to hug louey and to say sorry again for not being here when needed, im a rubbish weeble! Sad

Glad everything is ok, i rushed home from the mall, when i got your text (buying dolly her first clarks shoes...too cute) to read mn and to see what i had missed. My doctor told me that after having a mc and or and d&c it can make your womb very sensitive and prone to bleeding throughout further pregnancies, i hope this is the case for you as it was me. The bleeding sucks but you have to keep smiling and think of the positives in these shitty situations...the positives today was that you saw your lo again Smile Feet up and follpw mermaids sound advice..pizza for the boys and a lazy evening.

Hello to everyone else, im here but im spending as much time with my mum and dh as they both leave on monday and im on my own for 2 weeks til dh gets back from europe. Sleep is crap, bottle still being refused but hey, she is so cute i dont mind Wink

I will try to get on for more personals soon...off for a pedicure now Wink

cupcake glad the christening went well, i would love to see some pics if they are floating aorund x

Hope shes all recovered now Lbm?

4everhopeful · 16/11/2010 13:11

Grin Grin Update from Louey that all is well, what a huge relief! Grin I was wondering if its too early too be caused by placenta previa? Also i had a few bleeds, mainly after sex, caused by cervical erosion.. Just a thought? Such a rollercoaster you been on poor love..

Big wave to cupcake cant wait to see pics! X

loueytbg · 16/11/2010 13:03

Its ok - bean still has a heartbeat and is now 10cm so has grown 3 cm since last wk Grin Grin. Apparently it all looks fine. They can't see why I'm bleeding but it may just be implantation bleeding.

I am drained - I don't have high hopes that that is the end of the bleeding. Still have 4.5 wks to go until 12wks and it seems like a lifetime at the moment. I hate this part of PG with a vengeance.

Thank you all again for all your posts and texts, it has really really helped.

I'm off to eat (again). I seem to have gone off everything but its the only thing that stops me from throwing up.

cupcakefairy · 16/11/2010 12:24
