quick hello from me - manic today (Fridays generally are...)

blue try bear in [ ] Bear Wink

I'm not sure it is for children in need though - there are some threads about it being a pombear - all due to a recent thread which is now in MN classics. Have a fab night out and an even fabbier lie-in th next morning.

vjay well done you - that was a big step to take. Hope you get some help for cjay. I think the help they need over time changes but even if they are mildly affected, it still means they have problems.

mermaid Grin Grin

Waves to mls and bottlegatebarbie

Spoke to little sis - they are all systems go. As soon as she gets any sign of AF they will get her CD3 bloods and then depending on what they show will determine which protocol they do. She sounded quite positive. I told her about my pg and she was very pleased so that was a relief.

Right got to go, need to get some food and then off to one of my antenatal friends for a gossip and playdate.

bluesatinsash · 19/11/2010 12:38

TFI Friday Smile. How do I do the Children in Need emoticon?!!

Vjay - hope you're feeling all empowered after your phone calls for Cjay. I look forward to hearing about your courses and how Cjay gets on at his play schemes. I know ASD is such a wide spectrum and Cjay at the mild end of it, but any help you can get can only be good for you all Smile.

The Mothercare tike looks fab and what a great discount - kerching!

Louey - did you speak to your sister last night? How did she get on? I felt I looked pg from @ 10 weeks this time around and it was empire tops a go-go from then on in.

Barbie - Dolly update please! How is bottlegate going? The day 12 hours in when B eventually took the bottle I sat motionless not daring to breath in case it caused him to change his mind. He drained 7oz and never looked back. I didn't breath easier until I was a good week in though as every feed I feared him rejecting it again but no. Hope you're having fun with your Mum and sneaking off for some barbie time Smile.

Its DH's bday on Sunday so I'm taking him out for dinner tomorrow night, followed by long lie as boys staying at his Mum's. I'm almost looking forward to the long lie/breakfast and papers in bed more than night out but not quite Wink.

Have a good weekend everyone, five weeks til Christmas Shock Grin.

I feel quite brave today, I'm finally starting to 'do' something about Cjays asd. Please excuse my ramblings Smile. We got Cjays diagnosis 2 years ago and there have been courses we can go on and I've always turned them down due to childcare issues, plus deep down I've not been ready for them, but today I rang them up and put my name down on the waiting list to attend, plus I've rang Cjays social worker to try and get him on some play schemes in the hols (she's not in til Monday). I've always thought he wasn't autistic enough, but I've got the courage now to ask if he can join in, they can only say 'no'. I've really got to toughen up and ask questions rather than guessing all the time.

There I feel better getting that out Smile

Have just bought Ajay this for Christmas Mothercare have 20% today, and some things are up to 50% off as you can see! Smile

VJay · 18/11/2010 14:16

hi louey hope all goes well for your sister today, and that telling her about your pg will be ok Smile. I've just put up a thread on the SN board for me, well for Cjay, will hopefully get some replies soon.
I've been quite organised today, I've made an appointment for Cjay with his paed., and I've made an appointment for me to get this coil checked again!

loueytbg · 18/11/2010 10:48

Hi vjay Smile

ouch barbie cabbage leaves???

am feeling v sick Grin. Haven't thrown up this morning and I now wish I had.

Haven't done any work yet (naughty louey) but have managed to order some more perfume, surfed the ELC website for pressie ideas for my nephew and posted a few messages in the SN boards (not for me). Working at home is good Grin

My little sis has her first appt at IVF clinic this lunchtime so I'm a bit apprehensive for her. Will find out this evening what they've said. Am prob going to tell her I'm pg too so I'm a bit apprehensive about that. Have to tell her sometime though....

Right, going to attempt to do some work Grin

VJay · 18/11/2010 10:31

Yay Dolly taking a bottle. I am so pleased for you barbie Smile

Hi louey Smile

barbie1 · 18/11/2010 10:13

sore Sad.... i seem to have one side which is very sore and lumpy, even expressing isnt relieving it for very long?

How are you feeling, sick i hope! Grin

Just got her to sleep (which i was dreading) no feeding, just pacing the hallway and she dropped off on my shoulder! it cant be this easy can it Hmm

Woooooohooooooo!!!!

Go Dolly Grin Grin

What a monkey she is barbie - hunger has taken over I think. How are the boobs??

barbie1 · 18/11/2010 08:24

Sorry still no time to catch up.....but dolly took a bottle Shock

Refused at 6pm last night, woke at 9pm (as usual) my mum took only minutes to get her back to sleep Hmm woke at 1.30am, took 2oz with a few screams thrown in...woke again at 5am due to the mosque took another 2 oz and then i took over and got her back to sleep til 6.30am.
This morning i came down and gave her a bottle and she just took like it was the most natural thing in the world

Confused Hmm

Now we are just offering her throughout the day, still think its going to be a while before she takes the recommended 7oz per feed

I feel so hormonal, on one hand im excited and happy, on the other im sad, but im sure this is the way to go.

I promise to do personals soon , much love from a happy sunshine girl xxx

Evening all Smile

vjay I think being a fair-weather cyclist is definitely the way to go Smile. Loving the slanket (thanks for the link blue - had no idea what they were).

barbie ouch ouch ouch. I agree with the others, express a little until they feel better. I know I cut a feed out a day every 2-3 days but I think that won't work with your little monkey. I know it must be really hard for you to do this, but it sounds as though you know it needs to be done. Hopefully in a few weeks, she will be drinking out of bottles, eating more and sleeping a lot better.

mermaid hope you haven't been washed away. DH's family are fortunately in North Cornwall but it looks a mess down there. Come and shelter in the greenhouse Grin

mls I take it DS2 is using you as a dummy still?? Hope you are getting a little bit of sleep. Hugs from me.

cupcake fab photo of you all and love the cake! Jude looks all chubby and cuddly Smile

buddha thank you Grin will get them to check placenta location when I get to 12 weeks. I am a bit anal about all the details anyway and like to know - last time they were anterior which meant I didn't feel any movement until quite late on.

4ever just remembered that I did actually give away some of our baby clothes. Because my boys were so little (3lbs 11oz and 4lbs 1oz Shock) they were in tiny baby and prem baby clothes for ages. We donated them all to the neonatal unit where Luke spent some time as they always needed small baby clothes and we used their stock when he was in there. There was never enough. Felt like we were giving something back IYKWIM.

blue I may well buy a new dress then if they go for that much! A while away yet though. I am really hoping that we have no more scares - your bleed at 12wks must have been terrifying Sad.

neeko that was a very good short post. How is the dieting going this week?

lbm a stone!!!! Big claps to you, must have been hard doing that at the same time as going back to work. I'm sure J will decide she fancies food soon, there is no magic change that occurs at 6 months and 1 day as you know.

All is ok here, bit of brown gunk coming out (sorry for the TMI) but no cramps so I'm happy. I have however got quite a tummy already and virtually all my clothes are too tight or uncomfortable. I have a feeling I will be ditching my normal jeans before 12 weeks.

BTW - all those of you who haven't done their xmas shopping yet, ELC and mothercare have 20% off online and in store - started today. I think its supposed to finish on Friday.

VJay · 17/11/2010 16:33

Oh and the car has definatly come at the right time, the weather is harsh at the mo, and louey I will cycle, just on nice days, so maybe June Grin

VJay · 17/11/2010 16:31

Hello Smile

barbie hope you're ok Smile When I stopped bf'ing I expressed a little for about three days then didn't need to after that. Hope Dolly settles soon for you.

blue I will post a picture of the boys in their cardis, I'm so looking forward to them. I have a slanket, I mainly use it when I sleep on the sofa with Ajay, I grab him and the slanket in my half dazed sleepiness and head for the lounge, 'tis very handy.

cupcake your pictures are lovely Smile, you all look so lovely and happy Smile

moon do we need to get the barbiemobile out and drag you to the doctors????

neeko loved your quick post Grin

Big waves to everyone, I'm cranking up the heating in the greenhouse and cosying down Smile

MummysLittleSunbeams · 17/11/2010 15:20

Barbie hang on in there, brilliant suggestion from Neeko about freezing your milk. I'm sure that once she takes the bottle she'll switch between boob & bottle with no worries. I always express in the evening & give dd2 a bottle when she has her 1st wake-up of the evening, the rest of the time she feeds directly from me. Tell me how your Mum got her to sleep without feeding her - then send her round here to help me! Grin

Blue I LOVE slankets & I've asked for a leopard print one for Christmas! Smile The problem is though that I may never leave the sofa again!

Moon yes, please do go & see your gp for a blood test. I'm so certain that you WILL be a Mummy.

GAH, run out of time yet again!

barbie1 · 17/11/2010 15:03

neeko i sat in the car a few hours again crying and typed out a text to you, but it didnt send due to lack of funds! I just got your text, thankyou Smile

blue im gutted to stop feeding but deep down i know its for the best. She isn't taking solids too well, refuses breakfast as she has filled up on breast milk through the night and comforts sucks when tired. Im sure the sleep/ weaning will improve once the bottle situation sorts its self out. I would combine feed but i know she wont take to the bottle too easy again after being offered the breast. I will try, we have til sunday to sort this out.
On the plus side my mum has just got her to sleep without feeding (as she refused the bottle) and it didnt take too long....

Its hard, i cried, cleaned the kitchen, polised the bin, did a load of washing etc etc...

I will be back a little later to catch up more x
