monkeybumsmum · 06/01/2011 20:23

Jus try to stay calm, maybe the baby has got into a position that makes it really difficult to hear its heartbeat... Am sat here wishing I could hold your hand in RL. Who's with you?

IHaveQuestionsForSanta · 06/01/2011 20:19

BQ Keeping everything crossed for you, you must be so worried right now Sad Like monkey though, this happened to a friend of mine, iirc on 2 occasions, they really struggled to find the heartbeat until they did a scan I can't remember why, but everything was fine. Smile

Will lurk to see how you get on xx

bakingqueen · 06/01/2011 20:03

monkeybumsmum · 06/01/2011 19:37

Oh BQ you must be terrified Sad Reading your post reminded me of someone else whose GP couldn't find the heartbeat, and the baby was just in a tricky position and all was well. I so hope that it's the same with your little one. How many weeks are you now? Do you have any idea how long the wait will be? Will keep checking back...

BlueMoon1981 · 06/01/2011 19:09

bq my hand is here for holding/squeezing, fingers and toes crossed that there is nothing to worry about, but always good to get checked out. thinking of you lots and sending you a big hug - let us know what happens :)

Hello, and Happy New Year! Sooo sorry I've been awol, but as ever there's been far too much to do, and not enought time to do it in!

VJay Poor you feeling so ill, sore throats are horrible. Is it your tonsils that's the problem? Perhaps they'll suggest taking them out? Really hope you feel better soon x

Cupcake Think we should start an Emmsy's bookclub Grin The Forgotten Garden was great! I haven't read the House at Riverton yet, but have just ordered her new one. The third millenium book is great, but have you seen the film of the first one? We watched it over Christmas with my dad, and it was really violent Shock
Poor Jude getting hot wax on his hand, but it really is sod's law that that would be there just as he starts crawling. Well done him on the crawling front though!

Sabs Lovely to 'see' you, and yes I agree, we definately do need more BFP's Grin Shan't be me for a while I fear (explanation to follow) but there's enough of us on the small pants list...

Blue Hello! Sounds like you had a great Christmas and New Year! Is v exciting re your 40th Grin Sounds like you have got some lovely things planned. I meant to say at the time, but never managed to post, that that photo of you was absolutely gorgeous! What a stunner!!!

Barbie So glad you got home safely! Was thinking of you loads over Christmas and wondering what Dolly thought of the snow Grin Bet you were all freezing! Must be lovely to be back in the warmth... Is your aircon mended now?

QA Sorry about AF, and the inevitable hopes that have come crashing down. You never know, your lovely ds might be onto something - let's hope that by September a little brother or sister will be on the way Smile Fingers tightly crossed!

4ever Summer is just beautiful, your heart must just want to burst with pride Smile She is such a lucky girl, and it sounds like she was spoilt rotten over Christmas, which is just as it should be Grin

Neeko Thanks for the lovely text on NYE Smile Sorry to read that things have been tough, and that the girls have been poorly. You must be absolutle shattered looking after them, and sorting out Christmas stuff. How are you doing?

DH due back shortly, and he mustn't find me on MN Wink All ok here, had a bit of a moment on NYE which was tough, but we're through and into dreaded January, which holds my mums b'day and 1 year anniversary. Am trying to keep really busy. Also, went to have my appt at the fertility clinic, and they were fab! Lovely doctor who said she'll do whatever she can to help us get pg. Am having ultrasound next month, and then follow up appt in March. Will either need another laparoscopy depending on what they find, or will go straight onto fertility drugs, hcg shot and timed bd/IUI. Am trying to contain any excitement I may feel, as you just never know what's round the corner.

Best go, but lots of love to all of you, and a big wave and hug for anyone I haven't mentioned. In amongst my list of resolutions is spending more time keeping up with this thread - hope I can keep it!
xxx

cupcake I loved the first one, i'm reading the second one now but that's the dvd dh bought home and has slightly spoilt it, though I can already see that the dvd is nothing compared to the book.
Thanks for the other book ideas, I've checked them out and I can get them for my kindle Smile

My throat is so swollen today I can't eat, which will help with the weight loss! Grin. Off to the docs later as this is third time in 4 months I've been like this.

Cjays sleepover went well, he's very tired now Smile

cupcakefairy · 06/01/2011 10:33

cupcakefairy · 04/01/2011 22:12

Hello again ladies :)
We're watching recording of last night's big fat quiz of the year...love watching this every year Grin

Sounds like you all had lovely festive seasons :) we had a lovely time away too but was glad to get home after more than a week- Jude's sleep was just rubbish while we were away and he ended up in our bed every night so we didn't get much sleep. However, he did absolutely love being around so many people and was just so happy and cute the whole time. 4ever Jude is properly crawling too; it suddenly happened over the 2 weeks of Christmas and now he can zoom around so quickly it's quite scary! (and cute!)
On Christmas day though he managed to whack a tealight that was on the hearth and get hot wax all over his hands- I didn't get to him fast enough :( it was horrible; I panicked and ran his hands under cold water for ages while he screamed but he didn't seem to be burned thankfully. Lesson learned- no candles on the hearth!! (I know it sounds ridiculous that we had them there but he had literally started properly crawling that day...meh)

In other news we are now mixed feeding quite successfully :) Jude seems perfectly happy with it and guzzles his bottles down. the plan is to cut down to just a first thing in the morning breast feed by mid-March.

LBM your christmas & new year sounded so lovely- dh and I want to steal your idea of looking through the year's photos with dc on NYE :) also LOVED the image of you and dd1 reading on sofa under a blanket sharing sweeties... that is why I want a dd someday!

Neeko you lucky lucky girl! How lovely of your dh to get you a ring :)so sorry you're hitting a wall with the sleep it really is rubbish. Is H still responding to the cc?

blue I don't like seeing films before reading the books either. But you should finish HP book 6 it's ace! I'm still desperate to see HP7 and keep bugging dh about it...think I'm destined to see it on dvd, boo!

QA so sorry about bloody af :( and also :( about your ds. blue is right though, he is probably sensing something afoot. 2011 is the year for you, and our other small panters. Hope you're enjoying your baileys!
Amazon keep recommending 'The Help' to me based on other stuff I've bought; maybe I should read it :) I'm currently near the end of Kate Morton's The Distant Hours and really enjoying it- she really knows how to write a good family mystery!

Hi BQ and louey happy new year to our big panters! This is the year you'll meet your los, how exciting!

Hi curly I'll join you in donning the white coats :)

Right sorry to forget a million people but have to dash...more chocolate to be eaten here too blue Grin

bluesatinsash · 04/01/2011 20:55

oh QfS Sad boo to AF.. CD1 BUT also possibly day 1 of your new pg . Really feel for you and your chat with your DS, maybe he knows somethings afoot and has a sixth sense that he is getting a little borther or sister Hmm. It will happen, I can feel it in ma waters Smile. My DS1 starts school in August too , we can weep and wail together Grin.

Oh and massive big MWAH re my age, I knew my chubby face would reap rewards later in life Grin.

Debating to have a party but probably have a girls night away at Stobo Castle the weekend before, then out for dinner with DH and family on my actual 40th b'day which happens to be the Sunday of the late May bank holiday - yay!

Vjay - will also have cyper partay - lots of champers and chocolate, get busy missy Smile

Anyway, that was (far too much) about me... So on to business..

Vjay - how do you manage to find time to read?? I just don't have any other than evenings and that's my DH/on PC time. Come bedtime I'm just knackered. I so miss reading, used to commute and read a book a week but those days are gone... DH is off to see new Harry P film tonight with his brother as I've still not finished book 6 and refuse to see films until I have read books.. meh..

4everandhershinynewlaptop let the paragraphs commence Grin. Loving your photos of Summer and all her loot Smile. Christmas can be hectic with factoring in all the rellys and I loved the days of just being at home in our jammies.. 2010 was a vintage year for you and your DH, so much to be thankful for xx

Moon - so wishing you a early Spring BFP, have you throught more about visiting the docs?

curly - yes just over a month til curlygirl is one. Are you going low key or hiring the dancing dogs etc Wink..

MLS - how are things, have you spoken to your consultant again?

Right, that's yer lot, off to raid fridge of xmas chocolate. Well somone's got to eat it!
