monkey do tell - which website??? I so want to see the latest HP - DH hates cinemas so we have to wait for things to come out on DVD/TV half the time. I saw the half-blood prince over Christmas which was great and want to see the next one now I have grand plans of going to the cinema in the few weeks I will have off before this DC arrives but I bet there will be nothing on I want to see then.

vjay you are a clever lady Wink. Are you doing the degree for "fun" or is there a specific reason for doing it?

MS is back again (boo) - sods law as I am looking after the boys this afternoon as my childminder has a hospital appointment. I am however intending to be a domestic goddess and make a lasagne. Hopefully that will help stave off the sicky feelings.

VJay · 11/01/2011 10:11

Big gold star monkey Smile
I'm studying a variety of maths and this year it's applications of probability. I should hopefully finish the degree next year, it's an open degree through the open university, meaning I can study any modules I like, so far I've done some science, geology and mainly maths, hopefully about 3 quarters of the degree will be maths, but I may change direction next year and do some youth modules instead as I already have enough maths to teach. Wake up monkey I know it's boring Grin and how many times can I say maths!!!

monkeybumsmum · 10/01/2011 21:07

Grin VJay We get them here going past the house at about 10pm Hmm Not in the snow though!
Btw what are you studying? I probably should know this Blush but it sounds like actuarial type stuff?

Louey sing and sign sounds fab! Great news too re nuchal results, you can breathe a sigh of relief Smile

Blue Yes, lovely long post there Smile Brill idea re going to bed earlier - what time do you normally go to bed? Have you seen any of the HP films? Dh and I saw HP 7 the other day (well, part 1 anyway) and I was so scared I didn't want to go into the loos afterwards Blush Great stuff though!
Thanks for saying that about this last year, I feel like I've literally pulled myself through it, on my knees at times. Can't believe it's been a year really. This Wednesday would have been my mum's birthday, and then the following Wednesday (19th) is one year. Feels so surreal, and I can't believe we've managed to survive through it all Sad

Sabs Forgot to say hi earlier, hope you and gorgeous little Saara are doing well x

Right, am feeling v bad as I've just gone onto one of our fave websites blue and bought loads of stuff for ds Blush I just couldn't resist! The new stuff is out and it's all so beautiful. I need to be stronger... At least one of us'll be dressed well though Grin

Am off to prepare for tomorrow morning, and away to bed, night all x

ps VJay Hope you're impressed Grin Do I get the prize for most improved poster?

VJay · 10/01/2011 17:42

I'm really looking forward to it louey Smile

You'll never guess what I've just heard going past my house.........an ICE CREAM van!!!! Shock, for goodnessake there's snow on the ground!

loueytb3 · 10/01/2011 17:31

Oooh vjay I love sing and sign. In fact DTs chose the DVD last night to watch and I was signing away even though we haven't been for 2yrs. I'm so sad that I'm friends with my S&S instructor on FB. Can't wait to do it all over again. You can keep applications of probability though Grin sounds like a thrilling read...

VJay · 10/01/2011 16:59

barbie hope you're ok my lovely, and hope Dolly doesn't get it.

louey I'm so pleased that the treatment has worked so well Smile, and my fingers are firmly crossed for your sister, please keep us updated. And a big YAY to good news from your appoinment SmileSmile

monkey I am keeping tabs on how often you are posting Wink

4ever {{{{{big hug}}}}}

QA have you decided on a new name yet Grin

Right gotta go, hungry mouths to feed...

Oh and I've just signed me and Ajay up for 'sing and sign', really looking forward to it.xx

loueytb3 · 10/01/2011 16:46

Hi blue - damn work getting in the way of MNetting Grin. I know you are right about the tiredness - just wasn't expecting it to be so bad. Good idea going to bed earlier to have a read. Might pinch that idea.

monkey what a good girl you are resisting the choccies. Isn't it traditional to put on weight at christmas?? Wink I will keep you posted about my sis.

4ever I didn't realise that today was a Sad anniversary for you. Hope you are doing ok xxx

Back from hospital appt - got to hear hb Grin and finally got my screening results back from my nuchal scan - 1:4400 which I am very happy about. Consultant was v nice too.

bluesatinsash · 10/01/2011 14:51

Hi monkey Smile was just settling down to post whilst on lunch at work. You're doing well with your resolutions of posting more often. Really feel this year is your year and brings you your longed for baby. Your doctor sounds great and it sounds like you are in good hands. Keep us up-to-date with all your appointments and progress.

So sorry about your NYE wobble, its only natural and you have been amazing getting through last year without your Mum and with the heartache of losing your DS2Sad.

4ever - echo monkey in thinking about you today on the fifth anniversary of your DDad's passing Sad. A little bit of him will be in Summer, whether it be a mannerism, character trait, way she looks when she's cross, something to show he has lived on...

Your losses remind me to not take my Mum and Dad for granted and cherish them as they too will be gone one day....

louey - oh fingers crossed tightly for you little sister. Two of my friends have gone through IVF, one successfully and one not. Praying her a good outcome...

Sorry you are still feeling rubbish. Remember you are not only pg and working but you have the small business of bring up two boys, exhausting in itself! I remember oned ay asking my Isaac if I coudl lie down on the bed for 10 mins as was wiped out with ms and tiredness but he didn't understand and got scared as he thought I was ill. Had to just ride it out and rest when I could when DH was about. It does get a little easier second trimester but then horrid again as you get big and uncomfy.. That's fantastic news about your Isaac and the sound therapy. He is very lucky to have such a supportive and pro-active Mummy. Did you try on your maternity clothes? comfy I hopeSmile.

barbie oh honey, saw your news on FB. Glad your neighbours helped and GET WELL SOON!

QFS - loving Vjay's suggestions Grin. You could change it to QuestionsforJanuary/Feb and so on as I know you like to change your name regularly?

Buddha - glad the cc is working, well done you. You'll probably find that E comes on leaps and bounds during every holiday you have. I always thought that with DS1, don't know if its you being around more or just noticing it as you are around more IYKWIM. Ewan is just gorgeous Smile. And yes going from no sleep to good sleep knackers you!! Try haveng months of good sleep then a bad night - totally mental walking into walls muttering "I used to get up four times a night" what the hell is going on Grin

BQ - glad all OK.

Vjay - DH and me have made a resolution to retire half an hour earlier to start reading again. So I WILL have half blood prince finished by month end, as God is my witness Grin. Then it's Deathly Hallows and then I can join the Emmsy's book club Smile.

Well that took longer than planned, pesky work getting in the way.

Love to all xx

monkeybumsmum · 10/01/2011 12:44

ps fingers crossed for your sister louey - will you keep us updated as to how she´s doing? Really hope it works for her!

monkeybumsmum · 10/01/2011 12:43

Just on my break at work, so just a quick one, but have been thinking of you all day 4ever Sad Hope you´re as okay as you can be today. I just know that your dad will be looking down on you and smiling to see how happy you are with little Summer. He would be very proud I´m sure. I can´t imagine getting to five years down the line. I already feel like I´ve just blinked and it´s all only just happened. Can´t imagine that ever changes Sad Would love to be able to give you a real hug, but one of (((((((these))))))) will have to do. Lots of love x

Also, Barbie you poor thing! Am so sorry to hear you´ve been so ill Sad Are you feeling a little better now? I did wonder where you were. Really hope you´re okay x

QA how about letshopethequestionsgetanswered? Best I can come up with I´m afraid!

Louey Isaac´s treatment sounds great, esp if it already seems to be making a difference! That´s wonderful! It must be lovely to see Smile Sorry to hear you´re feeling rough still, hope the blooming phase arrives soon!

Buddha Lovely to hear that Ewan´s walking Smile Also, gorgeous pics - what a beautiful boy you have, and those eyes are stunning!

BQ Hope all is still well with you x

Blue Are you okay? Maybe I´ve missed a post or something, but it seems like you haven´t been around recently. Hope you´re alrightSmile

Really must go as it´s almost the end of my break. Have been really good today and no chocolate has passed my lips, even though there is a tin of Quality Street in the staffroom! Anyone else feeling like they´ve put on weight over Christmas? Love to all xxx

loueytb3 · 10/01/2011 10:58

Forgot to wave to sabs lovely lady - hope you are and Saara are ok.

Also - please keep everything crossed for my little sister. She unexpectedly started her IVF over xmas and had one embryo put back last Friday. The clinic will test in 10 days time. I really really hope it works - she only got 3 eggs and only 1 of those fertilised so we are pinning all our hopes on this.

loueytb3 · 10/01/2011 10:56

Morning,

barbie Sad Sad poor you - was wondering how you were as I saw your FB update yesterday. Really hope you feel better soon and Dolly doesn't catch it. I bet you caught it on the plane, that's what happened to DH before xmas. Passing out is scary. Can your DH postpone his trip or has he gone already?

vjay loving the porn suggestions for IHQ Grin. How are you feeling?

IHQ how about impatientlywaiting Grin - its got to be TTC related I think Wink

Quick (ish) update from me as I am supposed to be working but its the only time I can actually write a post as its impossible with the boys around. Isaac's therapy went well, he loved it, they couldn't quite believe how compliant he was so that made things a lot easier. It was very knackering for me but I was expecting that. Anyway, a couple of little things we've noticed already following the therapy - took him to the toilets in John Lewis last week and there was one of those really powerful Dyson hand-dryers which he had previously hated. He walked up to it and put his hands in it without blinking. Also on Friday, I took them to a soft-play place where previously Isaac would spend half the time locked in the loo playing with the taps. I think he didn't like the noise/echoing in there (although its not a noisy one). Anyway, on Friday I only caught him in the loo once and that was when he actually needed to go Grin. Fingers crossed that it wasn't just a blip.

Otherwise, I am really struggling with the tiredness and ms returned last week although it seems to have gone again. Lots of niggly pains, including one in the back of my pelvis which has really been bothering me. Have got an appt this afternoon with the consultant so I'm going to mention it. I definitely wasn't this tired with the boys, am still waiting for the blooming phase. Boys have gone back to nursery today so hopefully things will go back to some kind of normal (I hope!). Trying to sort out school applications this week as the deadline is Friday. There's going to be quite a few of us in tears come next August/Sep when we send them off to school for the first time Sad

barbiewantsawhitechristmas · 10/01/2011 09:21

hi girls sorry for going awol, sadly i have been in hospital Sad
very bad case of gastric flu poss swine flu, back for more test on thurs.

will update when i can, thinking of you all xx

SabsFabulous · 09/01/2011 21:50

vjay I read one of those name suggestions as porno Blush Grin

VJay · 09/01/2011 13:20

You dropped off my 'I'm on' topics! Blush

IHQFA how about ASimpleQuestion, or AmIorAren'tI, or BFPornotBFP, that last one has porn in it so maybe not Grin

IHaveQuestionsForSanta · 08/01/2011 20:17

PS need a brand new name for a new year. Any ideas?

IHaveQuestionsForSanta · 08/01/2011 20:15

Blue there will definitely be much weeping and wailing here when DS starts school, glad we can do it together! Your birthday plans sound great Envy

Cupcake Hope Jude's sleeping has settled down, yay to crawling but boo to hurting himself, it is so easily done, especially each time they surprise you with a new skill. Will try 'The distant hours' I have read one her books before, think it was 'The house at Riverton' from what I remember it was good. I was given the Millennium set for christmas, haven't started them yet as wasn't quite sure, are they worth it? The fact that it is a trilogy puts me off starting as I don't like leaving a book if I don't like it and there is a lot to get through Grin

Vjay hope you are feeling better and are having a relaxing weekend, bless Cjay and his sleepover, I have got all this to come!

sabs Hello and hope you are not too busy. Glad you have got you white coat at the ready, yep, fingers crossed for more BFP's, mine included hopefully.

monkey January will be tough for you. Sad A year is such a short amount of time after losing someone you love so much, but just think how far you have come in that year. I am glad you have got a plan of action that will hopefully see you through the next few months, I can see why you are trying not to get too excited, but it is great that things are moving on. I am glad your new resolution is to spend more time on here, an Emmsy's book club is a great idea Grin

BQ Hope you are having a nice weekend after your scare. The whole TTc, being pregnant, being a parent never lets up with the worry, why it can't all be simple, I don't know!

buddha your DS is gorgeous and well done him on the walking, so cute that newly walking waddle they have Smile I agree about how bizarre it is that you often feel more tired when you start to get more sleep Confused

Barbie happy early birthday Grin Hope you had a lovely day with your Dh before he jetted off and despite not being well. Has Dolly managed to avoid it? Must be really hard for you after the holidays being with your Dh and all the family and then back home without either for a little while and feeling poorly

4ever Hugs for you too for Monday, when we lose someone we love before we have children it is hard not to wish they were here to meet out fantastic Lo's. You just have to think about how proud your Dad would be of you being such a loving Mummy to your DD. Smile

mermaid echo 4ever and hoping you come back soon. x

Louey Hope you are well, things sound busy with you. Shock at your DT's and the window locks, bet they are keeping you on your toes. Don't know how you are juggling it all with job, DT's, pregnancy, therapy, and MN of course!

Jools Is the dishwasher saga on FB? Sounds more like a dodgy title for a book Grin I am hoping you and moon pop on more to keep me company on the small panters bench.

Speaking of moon I was thinking the same as 4ever and wondering if you had thought any more about starting the ball rolling with a GP appointment?

MLs How are you and your lovely DD's? I hope that you have got some answers about delaying the treatment and that you are feeling ok.

Right, that has taken me way too long and have stopped for bedtime for Ds, snacks for me and wine (also for me) better press post message soon! Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Smile

loueytb3 · 07/01/2011 20:12

Hello - sorry for being awol - have been lurking when I can but this week has been a tad ridiculous with Isaac's therapy. Anyway, going to attempt a catch up while they are watching Finding Nemo (again).

BQ had kittens when I saw your posts - so sorry I wasn't around at the time. Poor thing, awful to go through that worry but I'm so glad they found the hb ok. I had anterior placentas with the boys and it meant I didn't feel any movement until nearly 19 weeks (and there were 2 of them!). This time I have a posterior placenta and I think I'm feeling kicks already (15+3). In a few weeks you will be getting good strong kicks to reassure you. You can get some very strong weird pains in pg which are really unnerving. Even this time round they still worry me.

4ever fab pics of summer! It does sound as though she is a Dolly clone on the moving front. Hope you manage to get your chilled weekend. I forgot you were a sound engineer - part of me wondered whether this therapy would work because it is really simple, but we seem to have had some effects already (fingers crossed).

barbie welcome back home. Sounds like you had a really good time. Enjoy your early birthday with DH and yay to being able to post from your new phone Grin

poorlyvjay hope you feel better soon, there are some rotten bugs flying around. Manuka honey is the thing to get, put some in some hot lemon. Worked for me when I had a horrible throat. Bless cjay with his sleepover, just a shame you had to sort it out when you were feeling so rough.

buddha agree with 4ever E is very cute Smile. Really glad the controlled crying is helping and you will feel more human soon once you have got into a routine of more normal sleep. Don't feel guilty about it, it will be good for all of you in the long run. How cool is it that he is walking!!

blue if I look like you when I reach 40 I would be very happy Grin. Loving the idea of a girls night away for your birthday. How cool that its over bank holiday weekend as well.

monkey glad you managed to get through Christmas. Your fertility clinic sounds great - it does help when they are so positive and supportive. Have got pom-poms at the ready for you.

sabs lovely to hear from you. How are things with you? (apart from being busy obviously!)

QA big boo to AF arriving. Have everything ccrossed that you haven't got to wait too long for your bfp Wink

cupcake fab that J is zooming around. Nightmare when they do it before you've had a chance to move hazards out the way. Be warned, it just continues, and we're still dealing with it. We're now onto removing all keys from window lock as they can climb up to them and unlock them Shock. Well done for getting him to take boob and bottle, its not easy.

curly c'mon - we need and update about what curlygirl is up to Wink Did she love her first xmas?

LBM hope babybelle's sleeping has improved. Sounds like you had a fab time over Christmas/New Year apart from that.

neeko has H's sleep continued to improve? Well done for staying up past midnight despite your lack of sleep.

moon how are things with you?

and you MLS - is kitty still latched on for dear life? Hope you are managing to survive looking after two.

jools and mermaid, gracie and anyone else I've missed. Hope you are all ok - jools your dishwasher saga is just dreadful.

Right, I seem to be writing in installments, so will post this before I lose this and be back later with my news.

4everhopeful · 07/01/2011 14:31

Oh gosh Buddha I looked at your adorable pics Of E then forgot to say how amazingly cute he is and Shock at how he has grown! Walking, clever boy! It is all going too fast though isnt it? How does that work out when our pregnancies were soooooo long?!? Hmm

4everhopeful · 07/01/2011 14:03

Jeez BQ my heart was in my mouth reading through the posts, thank god everything turned out ok, bet you were in such a state, how awful for you, at least you know about the anterior position now though, I cant believ you are nearly 18weeks as well! Shock Nearly half way! Grin

Vjay poorly soul, sore throats are horrid Sad have you tried honey and lemon? Theres alot of yukky stuff going round at the mo, Im just getting over a horrible chest infection.. at Cjay liking Summers reading pics!

Talking of reading cupcake another 'Hungry caterpiller' fan here, Summer got her 2nd copy for christmas! Hmm You have got your bookstart books havent you? We still need to get ours.. Poor lil Jude getting hot wax on him.. Its all go now they are on move isnt it?! Summers had a fair few tumbles with her climbing shinnanigans! lucky they are tough lil things!

Blue cant believe you are to be 40 either! Shock Sure B will be v proud of his yummy mummy! Its the new thirties anyway so they say, just an excuse to have a huge partay! Wink

QA blummin AF Hmm Im excited to be donning white coat for you though, Im sure it wont be long to wait now Wink

Monkey your treatment plan sounds really promising, just having a plan can be uplifting in itself, we will all be here to obsess and symptom spot with you! Wink Huge hug and pat on back for getting through christmas, Im sure you did have a moment on NY, what a year it was for you.. Sad Just to get you through dreaded January now, we can hold each others hands through sad anniversaries, cant belive its a year since your mum, its very hard to deal with the first anniversary... Its my dads 5th anniversay on monday Sad its so very sad to think its been that long since I last saw him, its extra sad now I have Summer and should have made him a grandad... Sad

Mermaid no doubt it was all very hard for you to over the festive period? Was thinking of you lots as you know.. We miss you, come back soon please?

Good to see Moon popping in too.. Any thoughts on biting the bullet and seeing your GP in the new year? 2011 could be your year, know its hard but keep the faith hon..

Calling Jools too! Mrs workmaster! Hope you are booking several long and relaxing holidays this year?

Louey another quiet one, pop in and let us know how you are doing? BTW the music therapy treatment you talked of sounds soooooo interesting, I did a sound engineering diploma, its absolutely fascinating what certain frequencies can do to the brain, really glad its helping...

Barbie missed your funny posts! Did Dolly love the snow? Cant belive it was her first christmas, seems longer ago that she arrived! You and gracie and curly will no doubt be planning birthday extrvaganzas soon! I do think Summer is taking after Dolly with her climbing and crawling escapades, and her love of booby! Hmm

Sabs Happy new year to you too lovely! Did Saara enjoy the festivities? Tummy tickles to your gorgeous cutie! How are you finding the new role at work?

LBM Summer is waking lots at the mo after the business of christmas, im sure babybelle will settle down when normality and routine resumes!

Neeko sorry to hear your girls have been poorly and you are still sleep deprived, yay to H standing though!

MLS Shock at your diagnosis, alot to take in Im sure, thats a long period of treatment.. Hows little Kitty getting on? Im sure she made your christmas complete..

Right, apologies to those i have missed, Summer is still sleeping from her morning nap bless her... DH home soon so looking forward to a chilled weekend...

barbiewantsawhitechristmas · 07/01/2011 13:50

Still ploughing through the mountains of washing and other post holiday stuff, we are celebrating my birthday today (instead of the 11th) as dh is off for 10 days on a sailing job today (in fact he left at 3.30) i got a new phone so i can mn anytime i like, so ill be back with a vengeance soon Smile

bq phew, what a relief!

vjay we are all suffering with flu too....sharing my tissues with you x

VJay · 07/01/2011 11:07

Morning,
bq I am so glad everything is alright, what a stress!!!

buddha E is so cute, he's no longer a baby but a wee man Smile

Gotta go, still feel like poop, but had to post to bq xx

BuddhaBelly · 06/01/2011 22:17

I've updated my photo's too for those of you not on FB Smile

BuddhaBellyBaubles · 06/01/2011 21:47

Hello all, hope you have a had a lovely and happy Christmas and New Year all Smile
Ours was quite busy and definately fun filled, Ewan started walking a day or so before Christmas (following yet ANOTHER ear infection!) still wobbly and only on his terms but he just seems to be growing up so quickly

MLS Have you had anymore thoughts on deferring your treatment? I bet it has been on your mind all over the holidays, hope it didn't spoil your first christmas with K?
Louey Hope Isaac's treatment is going well
Blue Hope your one day back at work this week tomorrow isn't too strenous {wink]
4ever I'm very Envy as E is still only saying Daddy (plus some other words) but not Mummy Sad so well done Summer Smile
IHQFS Sorry to hear the evil witch got you Sad Pom Poms are dusted off and ready to go x
Blue 40 - you - never! Grin
Cupcake Glad to hear the mixed feeding is going well and crawling- what a clever little sausage he is Smile
Vjay Hope you are feeling better?
Neeko Are you all better to?
Monkey So pleased that things are much more postive for you at the start of the New Year, I'm not suprised you had a "moment" on NYE I'm just amazed that was the only time!
BQ Thank goodness all is alright with naughty little bean! Let's hope things get smoother for you now
LBM You were right controlled crying is definately having a positive impact in our household. It's really hard and I feel guilty, I hate listening to him crying but it is getting easier each night (not listening to him I mean he cries less Grin) The first night I think I cried more than him, but we have really stuck to it even at silly o'clock in the morning. But now I have to say I feel more tired getting more sleep than before - how bizarre! I suppose I'm trying to catch up on 13 months worth of bad sleep Grin Wink

monkeybumsmum · 06/01/2011 20:54

Thank goodness for that BQ, phew! What a relief, bet you will be exhausted after all that worry. Hope you get back home okay, and allow yourself to sit and relax after your scare.

Hi Moon, think it's when the placenta is positioned at the front of the womb, which would mean the heartbeat is more difficult to hear as they would've been trying to listen through the placenta. Think normally the placenta is at the back. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone!

Hi QA, am off to have a cuppa to calm down now!!!
