New thread here!
:)

cupcakefairy · 14/02/2011 14:15

Was about to do a mammoth catch up and noticed we need a new thread...I'm going to toddle off and create one...

loueytb3 · 14/02/2011 10:43

Hello - quickie from me I'm afraid. I started a post on Saturday and never got around to finishing it for various reasons. Was planning to catch up at lunchtime but my phone screen has gone dead so I need to go to the Apple shop and see if they can fix it.

Big waves and hugs to you all and I will do a proper post as soon as I get a chance.

barbie1 · 14/02/2011 09:24

monkeybumsmum · 14/02/2011 09:00

Can't remember how to spell obviously Blush Am not awake yet!

monkeybumsmum · 14/02/2011 08:59

Hello! Just a very quick one from me as am dashing off to work but just wanted to answer your question barbie. Firstly, I LOVE the AIBU suggestion - go on, I dare you Grin
Wrt how I felt after the colonoscopy, I didn't really feel well at all, and just went straight home. Before you get scared however, I only felt awful because of the reaction I had to the medication that cleans you out. I always react to things quite strongly, and with that stuff I literally spent all night on the loo. That, combined with not being able to eat beforehand, made me feel very weak and shaky - probably due to lack of sleep more than anything else I suppose. The next time round (for my lap) I didn't take all the medication, and although it did its job I felt fine and managed a full nights sleep.
MIL has also had that medication, and she was fine on it, so I think it was just me Blush. I think I would've been fine afterwards if it wasn't for that. Oh, the other thing to remember is that the medication doesn't just stop working as soon as you've had the colonoscopy - it might well carry on, so it may be best to be near a loo!
Hope I haven't worried you unneccesarily, the procedure itself is actually fine (physically at least Smile)! Lots of love xxx

Right, off to work now, and then off to the scan later! Thanks ever so much for all the good luck wishes Smile You are all lovely! Will report back later xxx

littlebellsmum · 13/02/2011 21:41

Helloo - sorry, I've been away so long but as ever, life here is manic ( but I don't think I'd want it any other way). I'm going to try and catch up but I know I will forget some people!

And in asnwer to the many questions about DS's Lego party - it was a big hit - legoman cake and biscuits were good and we did loads of lego games - starting with them building lego cars to race, then a lego challenge, whos got the lego, musical lego men ( like statues but needed to be a lego pose!) and finally hunt the lego man! And after all that, DS has spent today playing with lego - the boy is obsessed!

Blue will happily send you the biscuit cutter for your ds's birthday later in the year?

4ever lovely update from you and yes, I remember the "sausages" conversation! Nap times don't work here as the older 2 don't nap and you can never rely on how long BabyBelle will sleep! Hope you get some answers this week. I loved the description of your friday night - not exactly galm but very lovely none the less. Are you still bfding S?

Vjay how was the Wine? I also had to partake last night after an afternoon with 10, 6 yr old boys ( they are so loud!!)

Mermaid Your boy is doing you proud isn't he? Hope you had a great weekend and that you are wrong Biscuit

moon so lovely to hear that you got the nice GP, sad that so many of them are not. And you are on the way to find answers - hurrah and obviously a BFP!

ThelovelyMonkey You sound very happy at the mo which is lovely. Have a great holiday with your dad and enjoy the packing. I've just booked an extra days holiday before Oz to pack as then I can do it calmly, rather than having to rush it in an evening. I love the dream story - and no Sabs doesn't have a northern accent! Good luck tomorrow - like moon, it's the start of a plan!

QA What a mammonth post from you! I'd expect more than a few mistakes in a post that long ( if I ever wrote one that is!) Hope the family stuff get resolved. And heres to a happy outcome to this months 2WW

Barbie Hurrah, you're back. We missed you and Dollys stories! Think you should get the photos done - there are some great photographers out there that can do some lovely natural photos of you and DH enjoying your little girl - that is if she will stay in the photo at all!! My friend moved out to join you in the sand pit this weekend. Oh and I do gingerbread men all the time but think the teddy cutter is cuter. Isn't it amazing how you do so much more baking once you have a baby? I hardly baked at all untill the dc's arrived and now its all the time!

'lo to curly, neeko, MLS, cupcake, buddha and all the others who are MIA ( like I can talk Smile)

Got to go - not had any tea yet, got lunches to sort and tea for tomorrow and was supposed to be having an early night Hmm
*

VJay · 13/02/2011 18:28

qa I was thinking Harry Hill and tv burp when I wrote 'which is best Brew or Wine ]grin]Grin

blue how did the photos go? We had the kids in red or navy when we did a big family shoot, they really stood out against the white backdrop Smile

barbie YOU'RE BACK YAY Grin

louey thinking of you this week, try not to get too srtessed, what will be will be Smile, that's how I try and deal with things.

Laters xx

barbie1 · 13/02/2011 15:45

Coo wee, im back!!!! Grin

What a bloody nightmare having no computer, realised how dependent and sad i am for relying on it for regular contact with everyone!

I have soooo much to catch up on, and cant beat the fabby post by the ladies above ^ questionsagain blue etc. However i will try my best and will be back regularly from now on so i dont miss a thing!

Righty....

monkey i was beaming reading your post, i can almost feel the smiles coming from you, you sound chilled/ happy/ relaxed and i like it! Glad you have a master plan going forward, i just know you will have the ending you so want, this is the first step towards your future happiness, all the best for monday and have a fab holiday if i forget to mention it before you go.
Thanks for the info re the colonoscopy, im litterly crapping myself so might not need the meds to clear me out Grin...Did you feel ok after, or is it wise to postpone my plans for wed afternoon?

Im thinking of starting a aibu, along the lines of.....

AIBU to consider fake tanning my ass before i go for a colonoscopy or is this considered vain and shallow...what do you think! Grin

curly how was the birthday? was *curlygirl totally spoilt? Im in the process and sorting out dolly's old toys to make room for the mammoth pink explosion that is due to land in the living room on friday! Any pictures???

lbm the cake is faboosh! i love it....i made ginger bread teddies (men apparently is very un pc and i was wrong to call them such Hmm) and they were fab too, going to make some more for dolly on friday, gave them a test run at her bff birthday this friday gone and so far nobodies come down sick so i think we are safe! disclaimer i did eat one myself before serving them to the unsuspecting public, i do not recommend feeding to children before giving them a test run Wink
Ive cheated and got a cake made for me, wanted to make one but have a million and one things to do and a whole day is being wasted in the hospital taking up my time Sad

blue how did the pics turn out??? we were thinking of getting a few done to celebrate surviving our first year as a family, i hate having my pic taken though so would want totally natural ones, who did you use? Hope the boys are ok...

Yikes dinner is ready ill be back to finish off soon x

OP posts:
QuestionsAgain · 13/02/2011 10:45

blue also meant to say hope your photo shoot goes well, you are probably already sorted for clothes and looking glam as usual, but my advice would be wear something with strong colour so you stand out against the white background. Red works well for children. Sure you will be fabulous sweetie
That is unless you have gone for the more traditional, mucky, swirly brown mottled background, reminiscent of 80's school photos.

Right really must go now...

QuestionsAgain · 13/02/2011 10:40

Err, wasn't meant to bold my CD and UCL, in a look at me and my CL kind of way Grin it was meant to be curly's name in bold Blush

QuestionsAgain · 13/02/2011 10:34

Hellooooooooooooo Smile

Finally got aquiet day to catch up here and with the house that is somehow resembling feeding time at the zoo, going to try and fit in a trip out too.

Have only been popping back on to wish people well so have had so much to catch up on Blush Will do my best...

Moon I know i have popped on to 'see' you already but wanted to say I hope you are having a great weekend and getting lots of SWI in ( blue I much prefer this to BD too!) Pom poms at the ready.

monkey I am so pleased that things are moving forward for you and you are feeling positive and relaxed about TTC now that you have a plan. So hoping your scan on Monday goes well and it is the 1st step on what will hopefully end up being a short journey, especially as you are enjoying SWI and SWOI more now! Grin How is your poorly dog doing? Is the chemo helping? Sad Yay to tenerife, boo to packing lists Confused about how anyone can actually enjoy packing? Grin Another notch on your weirdness list along with fancying an animated character Hmm Grin

4ever err what is sausage???? Although i am getting the idea and wonder whether I dare ask Wink Nap times have always been popular in our house too Wink Hope it goes well for you tomorrow too, your SIL is very wise to have made you think about it, I can see why you were a bit head in the sand about not using contraceptive, but your SIl is right, you are so happy with your DH and Summer that a MC would rock your lovely currently plain sailing boat. Did the episode of one born every minute not put you off though Grin That forceps delivery had me wincing!

mermaid I am so sorry that with my quick log ons and not catching up I missed that you had had the inquest. That must have been so difficult for you. Can I ask, do you find out straight away? I just can not get over how strong you are and I love your posts, so full of wit and wisdom. You can not be perimenopausal (sp?), you are way too funny and all the women I know (scientific sample of 2!) their sense of humour was the l1st thing to go Wink On a more scientific note however, i hope when you finally get to the docs for your appointment and blood tests, that they only serve to reassure you. Big well done to your DS too, coming 2nd in the county finals is no mean feat. Hope the finals go well for him, though with his trainer at his side, fag still tucked in to her shorts for old times sake, I am sure he will be great Smile

barbie Not long now 'till D's birthday, bet you are so excited and that the plans are helping a little to keep your mind off Wednesday. Good advice from monkey there. Will be thinking of you.

Curly Glad you had such a lovely 1st birthday with curlygirl and that it gave you chance to reflect on a fantastic year. Curlygirl sounds like my DS, he never thought to get in to things really and was never a mischevious baby or toddler, still isn't really so keep your fingers crossed that curly girl stays the same, it's so much easier when you visit family members houses as you know they won't be touching everything. Loved your scientific plan for me to 'jump on DH' it is very similar to the sperm meets egg plan, that I saw on MN that we trialling this month Wink

Neeko Sounds like H is keeping you on your toes with her crawling and getting teeth, without the inspectors coming calling. So stressfull, hope they have well and truly gone and you can give in to the inevitable knackered feeling after running on adrenalin while theyw ere with you. Hope it went well too.

cupcake Another Shock at you for fancying an animated character, I didn't know this was that kind of thread Grin Was the kings speech good? I really want to see it, but I don't get to the cinema very often so want to know if it's worth it?

louey Feel a bit left out that I didn't get any viagra spam Grin What a week you have ahead of you. I hope both the panel meetings go well and they make the right decisions to support your DS. I can understand what a big deal it is getting the right school, brilliant that they have an ASD unit attached to the school. Not many of those around. Will keep everything crossed that you get good news at those and at your scan, 20 weeks seems to have gone fast Shock hope you have got on with your DT's birthday plans this weekend. Smile

sabs Hope you are doing ok and not too busy and that you enjoy your meet up with curly in a few weeks.

blue Hope B is feeling better now after being poorly? Related to your tale of the 'calpol massacre' We once had an incident with that vile yellow antibiotic medicine, lets just say it doesn't go well on cream carpets Grin Your girls night in sounded fantastic, just my kind of night. Seem to have made friends with people who have become lightweights since having children though Wink

MLS Hope you and your girls are all well. What a nightmare to lose your photos Sad How are you finding things with 2?

LBM Lego themed party for your DS sounds fab. Can you post any ideas/photos for us please. I am sure that we will be doing the same thing in a year or 2. DS is a big fan of lego now. Love the idea of you all getting creative and making a big house Smile

BQ So pleased that everything is going well for you and your bakingprince. You are more than half way there now Smile Smile

buddha Hope ypu have had a quiet weekend after being so busy at work. Must be a lovely feeling to read through Sad threads that have a happy ending for you at the end Smile

vjay Cute image of ajay pretending to talk on the phone. Your DH is so wrong about him copying you, surely if he was copying you he would be pretending to post on MN? [wink Grin Laughed to myself when I read your 'which is best Wine or Brew ? Couldn't help but go all Harry Hill and wanted to reply, 'there's only 1 way to find out...FIGHT' Apologies if you have never seen Harry Hill's TV burps and am now wondering what the hell I am on about Grin

jools wave to you in case your lurking. How are things?

All the talk of the old threads, and I am, like louey , a relative newbie (nearly a year though Shock made me think about how much you have all gone through. I know the sadness that I have felt with 1 early MC is a drop in the ocean for some of what you have had to cope with and yet you all continue to support each other in the various trials and tribulations over the last year since I have been here. It is testament to how strong some of you have been to be able to post on here with words of advice and support when your world has been turned upside down, especially in the last year for monkey and mermaid I would love to read back through sometime as for some of you, I have come along at the end once you were in your weebling/just had baby phases Smile

Anyway, back to me Grin Things improving family wise, had 2 different family members dealing with different bombshells, but things calming and less hectic now.
I am now on CD 15 of a UCL 26 (thanks for asking curly* I seem to be ovulating later and actually only got a strong positive OPK on Friday. Think I have been getting later, as always thought I ovulated earlier in my cycle. Confused TMI, but not much ewcm so have overcome the Blush and bought some conceive plus lubricant. Did I warn about TMI Grin

Right, that took way too long, no time to preview so sorry for the probably hundreds of mistakes. Note to self, keep up better! Smile Hope you all have a good weekend.

bluesatinsash · 12/02/2011 19:56

Right, DS2 asleep, DS1 playing PS3 with DH (his Sat. night treat if his reward chart has a good week, star wise [smile).

Moon - delighted and relieved your doctor was on your side and getting the ball rolling pronto. Echo monkey in that even the feeling of being 'looked after' can lessen stress which can only be a good thing ttc wise xx

Monkey - you and your mad dream Grin. Bene on the cheese again Wink. Lovely to hear you're off to Tenerife Envy. and Envy at all your Boden clothes... I'm buying up most of the baby stuff for Ben, hell I don't smokre, barely drink so that's what I spend my 'fag' money on Wink. Is it Monday your appointment? It is so the start of a new era for you xx

4ever - did you manage to de-claw Summer Grin? Will be thinking about you on Monday too and really interested to hear what advice/treatment you are given post-Summer... I was actually reading the Lesley Reagen book earlier (came across it whilst ridying out) and she was quite dismissive about immunity treatments Confused! don;t know if it was a bit of professional rivalry in there... REally hope you are covered for life though but understand your Confused as you will do anything that would prevent another mc.. Let us know how you get on x

mermaid - I can picture you a la Sue Sylverster from Glee in your tracksuit uring your Ds on in full 'rocky' mode Grin. Haircut maybe a bit much but you could kirby grip it to the side for the race no? Lovely to see you bakc posting - mwah!

louey - big week for you too honey with Isaac's report and meetings and little business of 20-week scan... You will need to lie down in dark room by the end of this week x

barbie - hope to see you bakc and fully charged tomorrow. As you know my colelague has Chrons and has had a few colonoscopies and they aren't pleasent but don't take long. Hopefully they will give you a diagnoses one way or the other and you can go back to organising Princess Dolly's first birthday Smile

curly Hope all the going back to work plans are working out or are you actually bakc already Confused? Who's looking after curlygirl? Envy of you and Sabs meeting up, have a lovely time x

LBM - hoe did the LEGO Man cake work out?
I'm tempted to ask for recipe for DS1's b'day in June but fear I'm just setting myself up for a big fall..

Neeko - have HMI burgerd off yet?

QA belated - meh - at you getting a BFN and Confused] family stuff to deal with. It is a relief how quickly CD1 becomes CD12+ and SWI (its the new BD you know Wink) can commence. Babydust ahoy!

Buddha - lkoved that photo of E on the swing Smile. Did Englad win at rugby? I haven't checked the results, more importantly did Scotland?!!

Right that's yer lot. Off downstairs to snuggle up with my boys. We're off to get our family photos done tomorrow, now what to wear - aaargh!

VJay · 12/02/2011 19:06

Yay to a plan moon and to having a lovely doctor, I'm really pleased for you misses Smile

monkey I am smilimg away at your post too, have a fab holiday Smile

4ever I am really interested to know the outcome of your appointment on Monday too, I remember when your arm swelled up and was facsinated reading it all Smile. And Grin at sausages!!!

barbie get a bloomin battery already!

mermaid we'll have a Brew on Monday but for now we'll chug the Wine Grin

Hi blue how's the weather been with you today, we've had a lovely sunny day up here Smile

Right off to have some Wine with DH Smile

Oh and monkey I have dreams about us all, we travel in the barbiemobile alot in mine too BlushGrin

monkeybumsmum · 12/02/2011 09:29

My lovely daddy is still asleep, so thought I'd make the most of it by coming on here! Yay Moon Grin Soooo pleased you got a good doctor, and am very glad you're both having tests done. IME the whole idea that someone else is getting involved and will guide us along takes so much of the pressure off. I really hope you feel a sense of relief today Smile Do you have a time scale for the tests? Do you have to wait long for the scan? I hope not...

Barbie poor you not being able to use the computer much, must be driving you crazy! How are you doing about next week? Am so sorry that you're going through health worries, and really hope everything's okay. If it's any consolation I had a colonoscopy while they were investigating my endometriosis. It wasn't pleasant, but it was do-able iykwim. The worst bit tbh was taking the stuff beforehand to clean you out. It is really REALLY foul tasting, but I think the first time you have it is the easiest. I had to do it again before my lap, and really struggled to get it down that time.
Re the actual procedure, I found the best thing was just to resign myself to it, and to remember that these people have done it all before, many many times. By the time they get home that evening they won't even remember us! Any other questions then shout! xxx

Oooooh a Brew icon, yay!!! Gosh I could just do with one now actually....

Mermaid sounds horrible re night sweats Sad Hope you're okay and enjoying ds.

Hi Curly did I just read that curlygirl is chugging Wine down Grin Hope you have a lovely weekend too!

4ever Good luck on Monday, it will be very interesting to hear the results. Is v good that you're looking into it already! How long will the results take to come through?

I had a really weird dream about most of you ladies last night! You had all come to see me in a bus type thing (must have been the Barbiemobile Grin) and I almost missed you all coz I was getting dressed. Anyway, I raced out just as you were all leaving, and jumped on the back - Sabs you were the first one to say anything, in a broad northern accent Grin T'was not how I expected you to sound! Then I spoke to you 4ever and you were lovely, just as I would imagine! Then I woke up Sad Was v peculiar!!!

Grin about the vajazzling VJay! Whenever I hear that word (not often I might add...) I think of you!

Hi Blue Smile How are your boys this weekend? My dad's just bought over my latest Boden order, and the stuff is gorgeous! Most of it's from dad for ds's birthday (on the 22nd) so I don't even feel too guilty Grin

Thanks for the good luck wishes for Monday 4ever I feel so relaxed about ttc now that I fear I might forget about the appt Blush I'm just so relieved that we're going to be helped (hopefully!) and we are starting to enjoy nooky again, rather than it always being swi. I feel like we have this month and next month to relax, and then we'll know the results from Mondays scan and can get on with the PLAN.

Btw, we are off on holiday next Saturday, and I am SO excited! We're going to Tenerife, with my dad, and I can't wait Smile Have had my packing list compiled since about December Blush and am waiting for my dad to go tomorrow before I start the attack! I love packing!!!

barbie1 · 12/02/2011 08:11

still no charger, tomorrow...fingers crossed.

Have zero point 9 seconds to type before the computer shuts down again, thinking of you all....moon wanted to come on yesterday to offer my hand, but i see you were very well looked after..well done!

I promise to be back soon (tomorrow) happy weekends everyone....

I'm missing jools too. Where are you missus? Hmm

4everhopeful · 11/02/2011 21:55

Sooooo pleased for you Moon my lovely! Grin Sounds like the beginnings of a PLAN! Means so much you had a great dr, was worried after all the geeing up you had done for yourself that an insensitive old doddery man would of undone your hard work.. You must be proud of yourself and as you say it gives you some control back, your DDDFGrin sounds fab, of course thats why your marrying him!

Mermaid mwah mwah to you, bless DS needing a haircut to see where he is going! Pasta a go go round yours then! Biscuit To hot flushes.. Hmm God those sausages are immortal aint they? Blush Grin Yep and swollen hulk arm a very small price for our beautiful biscuit! Grin

QuestionsAgain · 11/02/2011 20:57

Yay to lovely doctors moon Smile Smile I am so pleased that she has got a strong plan of action for you and your DF, who sounds like he was a real star today. Enjoy your weekend knowing that you have taken a good step in the right direction today. Smile Well done you for going too and not chickening out! Grin You should be proud of yourself. Smile

Back tomorrow to catch up with you all x

BlueMoon1981 · 11/02/2011 20:39

Thank you so much for all your thoughts, it means a lot that you all care so much, you are such lovely people.

Well the doctor we saw was THE loveliest doctor ever, I think we got lucky there, she was better than I could have hoped for. I was useless, I could hardly speak for crying so poor df sat and explained everything. The upshot is I have to have 2 sets of blood tests, some swabs taken and then a scan at the hospital, and df has to give a semen sample. I'm so pleased she has let us start doing things straight away, I'd googled beforehand and loads of people said they often get sent away and told to keep trying for another 6 months. I feel like we are actually doing something useful now and I feel loads better for it. Am still very worried about what they might find but at least then we will know, and we wont be trying in vain.

I think Wine is definitely in order. Thank you so much again for being here I really dont know what I'd do without you all :)

bluesatinsash · 11/02/2011 20:29

Wine Vjay, definately Wine.

Busy, busy week, work manic just now but have been lurking..

Moon hope it went well today and you were calm and clear and focused and your Dr has a PLAN.

Will be back for proper posting over the weekend but DH and couch are calling oh and the looking-forward-to-it-all-week glass of Wine

laters!
