Come and join me if you are TTC an August baby [hgrin]

This is my first bus and I think I am being brave in starting the engine.

Ha ha queen hadn't thought of that. Remninds me of a story my great Aunt told me. She was a good Catholic girl and didn't know about birds and bees until after she was married. She got pg and didn't know what was going to happen when her mother told her "what goes up must come down". Not sure if she was winding us up or not, but hope it was true!

Sorry kat, hope ERTD stays away.

kat2504 · 01/12/2010 19:58

Well another bus ride is pretty much over for me as I have had BFN. Waiting for the evil RTD to arrive in the next 2 days.

queenrollo · 01/12/2010 19:33

ravenlocks sorry you made me chuckle then.

If TTC works then you most certainly do 'get out what you put in' Grin

I'm having some niggly cramping this evening - has moved from my left side to low down in my abdomen now. And my boobs are sore, but not all the time - for example having a wash in the bath last night was very tender, but lying on my front in bed is fine.

I'm going crazy........

ravenlocks · 01/12/2010 18:58

getdown gutted for you, the thread won't be the same without you so do keep checking in with us. Hope you are coming out the other side of the crushing disappointment of AF.

Hate the "luck" component of TTC, in most other things in life you get out what you put in and it is so hard to accept that isn't the case with TTC.

Good luck to those in limbo.

myweeangel · 01/12/2010 15:25

mslk - yes join the awful limbo, BFN this morning (again! where's that wet fish?) but no AF
Terrible headache today and serious irritability - nothing new some may say!
Waiting to hear someone's GOOD news - anyone....?????

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 14:27

Well hoping this IS your month. Smile If you've got the timing right, you're def in with a chance.

Sorry to hear about the toilet troubles. Doesn't sound like much fun!

Eskarina · 01/12/2010 14:24
Smile Yes am off work, although not due to snow. Hertfordshire seems to be the only part of the country as yet mostly unaffected. Am most disappointed. I have a nasty cold accompanied by ahem interesting toilet issues Blush which mean I have to stay away until at least 48 hours after feeling better. I know what you mean about getting everything right and it still not happening. For all I said above I'll still be gutted if it's not my month (again) as this time I know I got the timing right
GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 13:55

Oh thanks so much Eskarina - How are you doing, are you off work today?

You're right re. the september baby thing. Yep am in the uk. And I know I will be ok, just feeling a bit wobbly today. Also a bit angry and confused why it didn't work, when I went all out this month (first month of using OPKs) and got timing just right... but still the evil red tide has come Sad

Eskarina · 01/12/2010 13:48

Aww Getdown don't cry! So sorry to hear it's not your month. I know it's disappointing, but you mustn't let it get at you too much. Chin up and ready for next month. Take heart that a September baby is nearly a summer baby, but without all the issues attached to being the youngest in the school year - there's a big difference to starting school/nursery at just 3 and already 4 (assuming you're in the UK)
Not that it's much consolation, I know. have an un MN-y

littlemisslozza · 01/12/2010 13:15

Sorry to hear that Getdown Sad Good luck with the next cycle

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 13:04

Thanks for the sympathy all. Just got back from work, having had to put on a brave face all morning, so having my little cry now Sad

Just taking myself off the stats. Good luck all.

Thanks queenrollo, that's great to hear. I guess it shows that when you relaxed, it happened! I'm going to try not to worry too much and enjoy trying.

Really pleased to hear that. Thanks. :)

queenrollo · 01/12/2010 09:37

GetDown Sad sorry AF got you.

rugby with DS i got a BFP on the 17th Dec, and on Dec 11th i got absolutely steaming drunk down the pub. My cycles were all over and i'd not had an AF since October.......so i just carried on with life as normal after having gone through a very obsessive phase.

RugbyWidow7 · 01/12/2010 09:26

Thanks Lindy. I think I'll give that a go. It's the hardest time of year to choose to start trying!!!

lindy100 · 01/12/2010 09:13

Rubgy, my strategy is to accept a drink and then keep pretending to drink form it. Every time someone asks what you want, say you've just got one and point to the drink.

Or enlist the help of one trusted friend to order you tonic and say it's G&T if other people ask. Or a friendly barperson to do same...

Good luck!

RugbyWidow7 · 01/12/2010 08:49

Oh no, sorry GetDown, I was wondering how you were getting on. That's miserable. Damn B*tch.

Big (((hugs))).

Keep warm and concentrate and fun things like Christmas. At least you'll be able to relax and enjoy yourself at the Xmas parties (though I'm sure that's not much consolation at this point).

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 08:38

Evil Red Tide of Doom arrived for me this morning Sad

I'm gutted Sad

RugbyWidow7 · 01/12/2010 08:25

Good morning ladies,

Oooh fingers crossed for you littlemisslozza and good luck for this morning mlsk - hoping for some BFPs for you. Keep us posted.

Well I'm now stranded and alone due to being snowed out of home and stuck at my parents (who are away on holiday) and DH and I living separately whilst waiting to move into our house for a month. Huh. So please keep talking as it's v boring here!

I'm certain I have now ovulated, after 3 days of pains and so am now on the 2ww.

I have a dilema I'd love your advice on please ladies - I'm due to go on a girlie night out 11th Dec, only my af not due until 15th. Too early to test I should think so I won't know either way. Do I go and carry on keeping things as normal as possible, just trying to limit the Xmas party excitement, or do I bow out? There's absolutely no way I could go and not drink with them, and get away with it. They would know instantly. I really want to keep TTC as quiet as possible for the time being. I read that you should try to keep things as normal as possible during 2ww but have also seen lots of conflicting posts. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Sorry for an epic post Confused

Hope you feel better soon Eskarina

mslk · 01/12/2010 08:14

Morning ladies, just reporting in before the struggle to work.

Please may I join the BFN no AF limbo?! Waiting for our moment one way or the other!! Confused

Eskarina · 30/11/2010 21:48

Checking back in after a weekend away then have been ill and not really feeling very communicative (only have a cold, but enough to be off work. Teaching and being voiceless are not a happy match).

I seem to be in the 2WW. FF and I almost agree this month. Although it reckoned I ovulated on CD19 (last weds) then I think I had a positive OPK on CD21 (fri) so it moved it back a bit. TBH I'd rather it was the later one as we were a bit slow off the mark with the SWI this month. Anyway, it looks like it'll be a more normal cycle than last month. My temp chart is beautifully behaved for once!

littlemisslozza · 30/11/2010 20:59

Hi everyone!
I'm still here, sorry I haven't written anything for ages. Sad to see so many BFNs, this isn't a very lucky bus so far!

I'm on day 28 now, but have a feeling that this is a 33-35 day cycle. I don't chart (yet) as I've been extremely fortunate to get pregnant first time before, although the first one ended in mc, then I had two gorgeous DS's two years apart. I'm on cycle 3 with this one though, having come off the mini pill and my cycle has been getting longer, towards 35 days which is what it was before DS1 and DS2. I conceived roughly around day 19-21 with them I reckon, so I'm not going to test for another week (well, ok, I might manage to hold out until the weekend!), unless AF arrives first.....

I have had a funny taste in my mouth for the last two days, and excess saliva, which are always one of my first signs - making me feel slightly hopeful, fingers crossed. Probably imagining it.

Good luck everyone else who is waiting to test, we must be due some BFP's now.

KLou111 · 30/11/2010 19:38

Good luck mslk we need a change of luck :)

GetDownYouWillFall · 30/11/2010 19:30

Oooo mslk! You must report in tomorrow and let us know how you get on!

sillybillymummy · 30/11/2010 19:27

I am sulking too - i can't bring myself to get on the next bus

mslk · 30/11/2010 19:24

Sorry AF got you Silly

Hope it was just too early Kat and again for you KLou

Getdown, I trudged through the snow today to buy a test so could POAS tomorrow morning! I'm nervous!
