Come and join me if you are TTC an August baby [hgrin]

This is my first bus and I think I am being brave in starting the engine.

I'm stepping off the bus ladies, AF got me yesterday.

Will be giving it a rest until December now, we have a family wedding in September next year and we don't want to steal their thunder by me being in labour on the day of the wedding!

Congrats to all the BFP's!

RugbyWidow7 · 05/12/2010 20:32

Hi Raven that's really helpful - thank you! It does sound like it's quite expensive for the amount of use you get out of it Xmas Wink. I think I'll wait and see how things go for the next month or so and invest at that point if things aren't happening. I'm really sorry to hear about your MC - buckets full of luck for this month!

In my carrying on as almost 'normal' vein - DH came home this wkend, so we got over-excited and went to the pub on our own last night and got pretty drunk - oops. No excuse whatsoever, just misbehaviour! No more booze for me for a while.

That's such amazing news northeastmummy!

My boobs really hurt and I have spots on my chest - weird! (TMI)

northeastmummy · 05/12/2010 19:22

Oh goodness - thank you all for your congratulations!

I'll be on here every day hoping for more good news. I'm now symptom spotting and already worrying that something's going to go wrong!!!!!

I had the most amazing news today. One of my close friends lost her baby in May this year - he was a week old Sad. Anyway, she just told me she's 5 weeks pregnant - sooooo excited for her!

fel1x · 05/12/2010 18:41

Congrats to northeastmummy and aurora sky. Lovely news to have two more bfps :)
it's 5 days till my af is due and no symptoms here so far. Think I will do a test in the morning as I have a few cheap ones, just in case!
I'm convinced it's not my month this month and acted accordingly last night when out with friends. I drank quite a lot so hopefully won't affect anything :s

100years · 05/12/2010 17:11

Congrats to Northeastmummy for her BFP :)

I am actually on antibiotics, and as my FB status has been about how poorly I have been if I were to go out I wouldn't have anyone doubting the truthfulness of my story. I am not sure what to do about next weekend, if I'm well enough to go out, it's pre ovulation, but I'm also trying to keep my body as clear from alcohol as possible. So I'm not sure whether to keep the story going about ABs or whether to just have the one or two, or whether to get blotto!! It will be my birthday as well.

Rugby I am on the pre-seed this cycle. Heard lots of positive stories about it - on these threads - but no real proven evidence about how it can help TTC. You can only buy it online from what I can tell and it is expensive (£15 for a tube that lasts for 9 SWIs). Have used it for one cycle already and still not pg but I am giving it a go again as don't really have a lot of CM and have heard that it kind of simulates fertile CM.

Can't hurt I say!Smile

Bit easier for me on the drinking thing as everyone in my RL knows I am TTC as had very public late MC and afterwards I did say we would try again as soon as we had the all clear - so am going to say that we have kicked the booze in an aim to get pg - which is true but only since the last 2 weeks. But you can bet that people will sercretly think I am in my first trimester and/ or try to persuade me to drink a little 'cos it is Xmas'.Hmm

RugbyWidow7 · 05/12/2010 16:10

That sounds pretty tough KLou - it really is the worst month to not be drinking!

Does anyone have any information on Pre-seed please? Is it widely used? Only just found out about it and wonder if it would help...Xmas Blush

KLou111 · 05/12/2010 15:48

*last night

KLou111 · 05/12/2010 15:47

A huge congratulations northeastmummy, another BFP woo hoo!!

Sorry you're leaving Alpine :(

Still no AF here. Will test again Tuesday as that will be 35 days, and that has been my longest cycle length so far.

Went to friends house hast night with another couple and said was on antibiotics for an ear infection and couldn't drink.
Later on, one of the ladies asked 'so when's the baby due' and I said 'ugh don't say that, bloody hope not' Felt like total shit saying it, but don't want to tell anyone we're trying. It really is not a good time of year to start trying in the 'drinking' respect as everyone thinks it's odd if you don't have at least 1!!

RugbyWidow7 · 05/12/2010 12:34

Huge congrats northeastmummy - that's great news for a Sunday morning and fab to have another graduate to add to the August bus list! V exciting!

I have sore boobs, which is unusual for this point in the month.

I'm about 5dpo I think - though the pains started 3 days before that, so not quite sure.

Confused

Sorry to see you're leaving the bus Alpinepony.

ravenlocks · 05/12/2010 12:23

Brilliant news northeastmummy! Good luck alpinepony and enjoy the skiing holiday. Smile

northeastmummy Smile that's lovely news! really pleased for you.

We're off into the city to meet friend/sis for lunch and look round the shops. This means i'll buy a test while i'm out but testing tomorrow morning will probably still be too early won't it?

It's always these last few days of 2ww i find hardest.

MrsP81 · 05/12/2010 08:35

Fab news northeastmummy!

Also congratulations to aurorasky!

7dpo here and nothing to report. I feel quite relaxed about it this month, not doing my ususal obsessing. No idea how I have managed this but it feels good!

littlemisslozza · 05/12/2010 08:29

Brilliant news northeastmummy!

northeastmummy · 05/12/2010 08:26

I just took a test and got a BFP! My DH is still sleeping and I feel terrible - like I know something he doesn't (which I do - but you know what I mean!).

I knew this was going to be a short trip on the August bus, but I didn't think for this reason!

AlpinePony - sorry you're off the bus and glad you're feeling ok about it.

Everything is crossed for everyone else still on the bus xx

AlpinePony · 05/12/2010 07:41

I'm off the bus - feel quite chilled about it as it was first month of trying (took 12 months last time) - and ms would've been right in the middle of my ski holiday! Grin

queenrollo · 04/12/2010 20:13

northeastmummy there is also an option at the top when you log in for 'threads i'm on' it will bring up a list of recent threads you've posted on.

Nothing new to report here, still very painful boobs.....spot on chin settling down......

can i resist testing until after Weds? I doubt it Grin

northeastmummy · 04/12/2010 15:56

Sounds promising KLou!

Thanks 100 - will give that a try x

KLou111 · 04/12/2010 15:27

Well, not a lot to report here, still no AF and still BFN as of this morning!! am now on day 32 of an expected 28 day cycle. Not a happy bunny as I just want to know either way, it's dragging too much this not knowing!!

100years · 04/12/2010 14:23

TCOYF is taking charge of your fertility, it's said to be a bible for people TTC, I have not yet got it, but if I carry on waiting for a BFP I will end up getting it, having a few months of relatively chilled out SWI first though.

At the top of the page there is above the title of the thread there are some links, one is WATCH this thread, click on that and then when you log in you click on threads I'm watching and it will be there in the list.

northeastmummy · 04/12/2010 14:15

When is your AF due again mrsden? It's not over till it's over you know! When I got pregnant with my first I had a BFN around about when my AF was due but then got a BFP a week later.

I can really relate to what everyone's saying about there being an upside if we have a BFN for the obvious festive reasons ... but like you all, would prefer the alternative. I seem to have all the symptoms of AF being on the way, but still no sign. I've been really irritable, have a random spot, sore boobs etc ... no idea what's going on.

What's TCOYF?

Also, can anyone give me any tips on getting to this thread quickly when I come into MN. At the moment I'm going into Talk then through all the options to get here and it seems a bit ... long winded.

mrsden · 04/12/2010 10:27

I cracked and POAS this morning. BFN Sad I feel really sad, I thought we did everything right this month but I shouldn't really be surprised because I have no symptoms to make me think I might be pregnant. There is no sign of AF yet though so I am going to cling to a tiny bit of hope. Maybe I ovulated later than I think and it would be too early to show up yet. Ughhhh, I hate TTC!

ravenlocks · 04/12/2010 09:22

queenrollo that is great re you friends!

Only CD11 here, managed to SWI twice so far. Meant to POAOPKS last night but forgot so will start all that fun tonight. Am trying some reverse psychology on myself. "I don't actually want to get pregnant this cycle because then I won't be able to drink at all my Xmas bashes, and will have to tell white lies to friends and family, and will have to watch what I eat and probably be sick on Xmas" Therefore sods law means this will prob be my month. Hop it works!

queenrollo · 03/12/2010 21:31

my friends have rearranged the holiday they had booked so they can come to our wedding Smile
it's cost them money and it means that several friends in our extended social circle (who are not invited) have had to re-book holiday from work and travel plans/childcare etc just so our two friends can be there on the day. (it was a group weekend away for a birthday)

eskarina - thanks.....i keep looking at myself in the mirror and saying 'stop it! stop reading 'pregnant' into every little twinge' Grin
