HidingInTheBackRow · 09/11/2010 11:32

Woolly jumper?! I would recommend some kind of wading suit if the weather outide my window is anything to go by, Mummya

owlboots · 09/11/2010 10:02

Great news, MummyA :) V.v. pleased for you but I should warn you, the weather is shit over here at the mo Grin bring your biggest woolly jumper.

Wombat your breakfast sounds top. All you need is a bacon butty too and that's a perfectly balanced meal...well maybe not but it'd be very nice :)

Kat welcome to the CBFM club!

PFF I have no idea what a triphasic chart looks like but I shall cross my fingers that it is one as they seem to be generally known as a Good Thing :)

Big wave to everyone else :)

youremindmeofthebabe · 09/11/2010 09:14

Oh, mummya that's really good to hear. And that's quick for him to see you, isn't it? Blimey. Soon you will be sharing all the delights Britain has to offer atm.
Downsides are: rain, gales, more rain,
Upsides: good tea, roast dinners, autumn trees, open fires and lager etc etc.

I think i'm due toeday. Or should be, at any rate. Have absolutely no symptoms of anything except being tired, which I can blame on darker mornings! Forgot to use fmu this morning, will try tomorrow if the auld witch hasn't turned up.

After studying pink's chart I have decided I want one, and will make a concerted effort next month to temp! It does look triphasic too! How exciting.

Wombat33 · 09/11/2010 08:52

mummya great to hear you are finally getting some treatment! My god it must be such a relief to feel like you've found someone who can actually help you. I've got everything crossed for 16th for you!!!

Good morning everyone else! I'm on the train eating my oh so balanced ttc breakeast of fresh mango :) and chocolate cake Hmm. Will catch up more later xxx

AandRMum · 09/11/2010 07:18

mummya that is wonderful news - hmmm iykwim! What a relief to have it confirmed and to have some decisive action happening!! Good luck with it all and can't wait to have you back on here all shinied up and ready to go!!!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/11/2010 07:11

Hello mummyabroad great to hear from you!!

Sad that it's confirmed as AS but Grin that you're able to get the diagnosis and treatment so quickly (i know it's been ages, I just meant quickly after contacting him). that's fantastic!! It must be great to feel like something's finally happening.

Good luck with getting everything sorted, will be thinking of you on the 16th xx

MummyAbroad · 09/11/2010 01:55

Hello!

I was going to catch up but I am about 5 pages behind, and I've only got 5 mins, so I will find out what is going on with you lot later. Hope you are all well as can be.

Just wanted to tell you that I have contacted Dr Adrian Lower in London, he has confirmed that I have Ashermans Syndrome and is going to operate on me in London next Tuesday 16th Nov!

I'm in a mad dash right now to get flights and paperwork organised for me and DS - lots and lots to do. Its a big relief to finally have a diagnosis and treatment plan though!

and only a mere 7 months after my mcConfusedGrin

roast dinners and warm beer here we come...Grin

Hi Kat, I think it shines a light through the little window where the lines are and measures them that way. If you watch it (takes a lot of patience...) it flashes the red light a couple of times and then shines red for a bit - and that bit lines up to the lines.

PinkFF well, it's a mystery to me. If I hadn't seen the LH peak show up, I would have said triphasic too, BUT maybe it just took all that time for your estrogen levels to get high enough to spark the LH surge?
If it were me, I'd still be POAS tomorrow, if you did OV day 17 you'd be 12 dpo wouldn't you?. Then if it's -ve you can still wait for a later AF/Test date and hopefully not be too depressed. But that's just me, if you're suffering blues at the moment then best to not punish self unnecessarily.

I'm back into ZEN mode. Well, trying to be. Of course I'm hoping my temperatures stay up but after a little dip this morning I think I've got my head around the idea that they probably won't and that will be that. The silver lining to that cloud is that I won't need to stress unduly about getting an answer regarding the clotting stuff urgently.

Nope, not a teacher. I work in fluffy meedja type stuff. It's late. I should be asleep.

Night all - and special greetings to MummyAbroad, thinking of you.

kat2504 · 08/11/2010 22:03

Ha izzy likewise not so long ago that would have been gibberish to me too. Now I think I could do well if I took a degree in reproductive biology!

Anyone know how CBFM actually reads the sticks? I did my very first pee on a cbfm stick this morning. I naively thought the pee-end would go into the monitor. A bit yuck now I come to think of it!

appleblossoms · 08/11/2010 22:02

pff i'm sorry you're feeling crappy, and sorry if my results brought things back for you Sad and I know you might not want to hear this...but I was really REALLY low a week before my bfp, and hairy commented that she'd felt the same....so i've got my fingers tightly crossed that it's a symptom and you get that elusive bfp VERY soon!
Good luck to all those on the 2ww, either for bfp's or the newbies for af. Thinking of you all. x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2010 21:57

Yep. Right. Back to work. Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2010 21:57

Just realised I forgot to wave to hiding - hope AF arrives for you soon so you feel like you're getting back to normal!

And mouse ! >

PinkFondantFancy · 08/11/2010 21:57

Thanks izz fingers crossed. Shouldn't you be doing some work????? Grin xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2010 21:50

Hmm it's a mystery to me then pink but after all consistently high temps are a good sign so fx!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2010 21:48

Btw ladybee I also think your dr is wrong not to treat, good on you for getting the info together. Make sure you stick to your guns. I suppose you'd take the aspirin yourself anyway would you?

PinkFondantFancy · 08/11/2010 21:47

Oh also izz I also thought that but the day after the two peaks I did another CBFM stick and the second line had faded right back down again so maybe it's right that it was CD23 afterall.... ARSE ARSE ARSE all that SWI a whole 10 days too soon!!!!! Hehe disturbingly it would have meant nothing to me either - sometimes I worry that I know too much now.....

PinkFondantFancy · 08/11/2010 21:45

Ha izzy would be cool if it was but going to try to hold out at least another 10 days before POAS, have been finding the invisible second line a bit traumatic up until now and if FF was right the second time it would be too soon anyway.

By the way lady good work on your research! At your checkup you might want to check whether you should take anti-coags before your next pg, not sure but maybe you need to take them before you know you're pg?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2010 21:42

Another thought pink (procrastinating? Me?!) have you tried deleting the + opk and letting ff just interpret the temps etc? I deliberately don't put my cbfm readings into ff because I don't want it relying on them to interpret the signs. Just wondered if it would make a difference - maybe it's changed the ov date based on that when you could have ov'd on cd17 then got a +opk when it detected pg hormones and you had another thermal shift because of that?

(Do you know, 4 months ago that paragraph would have meant nothing to me!!)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2010 21:37

Blimey pink that does look a bit triphasic...have you POAS'd yet?!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2010 21:36

Have read everyone's posts but it's been manic today and have to prepare for video con with arse boss tomorrow morning so sadly no time to name check everyone Sad

But just wanted to say HURRAH! to apples , I am so pleased it continued to go well for you, fx for a boring and uneventful 7 months ahead Smile

I can't even remember from the chatter who needs fish-slapping so I'm just going to hurl eggy sardines at anyone even looking at a test...

Having said that I will remain in suspenders for all those symptom spotting ( pink ? velvet ? inbetweener ?) and also for YRMOTB because it's not over yet. I do expect testing before on day of AF though, none of this waiting till you're 10 days late business!

Right better go, really ought to do some work (although I really don't want to and promised myself after the mc I wouldn't start bringing it home with me again!)

?

PinkFondantFancy · 08/11/2010 21:33

Here you go lady chart - if I hadn't got a peak on the CBFM at CD23 it was confident that I had ov'ed on CD17, so I have no clue wtf is going on. It'll be interesting to see when AF rocks up actually, as it will at least tell me whether it was more likely to have been CD17 or CD23. CD23 will be quite depressing though, as means my cycles will have got even longer than ever.

hiding fingers crossed AF will hurry up and rock up for you.

Am feeling pretty sorry for myself this evening, apples news is great but made me remember how my 8.5 week scan panned out almost exactly 5 months ago :( Then my friend that had her 12 week scan today and two months ago was mentalling at least as hard as me about getting pregnant texted me today to tell me that I should chill out and get on with my life and let what's going to happen happen. Seriously??????? Shock Maybe I'm just being oversensitive but can't believe that you'd forget what the two week wait is like that quickly...... So anyway I'm going to take myself to bed and hope this ridiculous mood is mainly down to waking up in time to be on the train at 7 this morning........ Sorry for whingy whinging, will be back when am less mopey xx

OrangeToeNails · 08/11/2010 21:13

Izzy and pink snowboarding was good, thanks. I ache now and have PT tomorrow for 1st time since MC

inbetweener I hope AF visits soon, I'm waiting for a visit myself to get started, I had positive OPK sat and now just waiting

velvet seems like a good sign to me, fx for you

wombat that's great commitment you have there, very impresses
