good to see you there, glad the hands are starting to feel a bit better!

tigger we did hot spiced cider one Christmas eve (inspired by the cider bus at Glasto - could there be a more glorious evening than drinking spiced cider out of a double decker bus with the festival going on all around?). It was lush.

nicks boo for swab, although clearly sensible. Hope you start to feel back to normal soon x

owl glad I'm not the only one with a neurotic CBFM. This is the second month I've had 6 highs before peak, it's ridiculous. I have tried looking at the lines but always forget which line is supposed to be darker iykwim!

velvet woo-hoo for ofsted, you enjoy that wine!! I was due on 21st December (revised after scan from original due date of Christmas day -eeek!) so also getting close to that time [hsad]. There's a mum at school due at the start of jan who keeps moaning to me about the inconvenience of a Christmas baby and I really have to bite my tongue to stick to the smiling and nodding (she doesn't know I was pg, although I got to 16 weeks and had told lots of people I wasn't big enough to be able to tell if you didn't know iykwim - I just looked a bit fat. This should have rung alarm bells.)

It will be us one day soon, chin up x

Anyhow am in a good mood tonight despite the infuriating CBFM and the relentless shagging, just been to DCs' parents evening at school and they both got really good reports. Was our first once since moving DS in March so had been a bit apprehensive, especially since we'd taken him out of a really good school and I just didn't have a feel for how he was getting on at the new one. But tbh it sounds like he's much more engaged with the work there, and DD is apparently "just delightful" [hgrin]

PrettyMyraMains · 20/10/2010 18:50

My remains Owl [hgrin]
Well, I think I'm funny and that's all that matters! [hgrin]

Nicks what were they snipping? [hshock]

Fort you didn't recognise me and were all ignoring the random loon. [hgrin]

Velvetcu · 20/10/2010 18:47

Wonderful news Moof!

I am on cd2 today for anyone updating the list!

WOOHOOOO we are out of special measures!

Feeling pretty shitty at the moment as due date is 15th Dec so I probably would have gone on mat leave this half term :( Also had some bloke at work with 3 kids making derogatory comments at those who dont have any yet. what a twat!

Hope everyone is well. The good thing about AF is that I know i can definately celebrate the good ofsted news over the next few days

nickstermum · 20/10/2010 18:41

Izzy bonkers temps matbe you are sooper dooper fertile or it's your body still settling down? Hey what do I know?!

I went back to doc for another swab today ;( to recheck everything has gone as been a bit sore inside! So will see, want to be sooper clean and healthy inside;) not nice tho ESP when you hear the snipping sound !!!

nickstermum · 20/10/2010 18:32

Moof bean!! Awesome!!! Caribou that is just tremendous news of the most bestest order!! Iyswim next time you see Moof bean give him a wave from me ;)

Pv glad hands aren't too bad lovely lady ;) nice to see you xx

owlshoes · 20/10/2010 18:26

Damnit PV , now I'm going to have to google Myra Mains. [hgrin]

PrettyMyraMains · 20/10/2010 17:40

Oh Cock, how did I miss that Moof
I am a muppet of the highest order.

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppppperb news!
Go Moofbean! Go Moofbean!

owlshoes · 20/10/2010 17:17

Woohoo! Am supremely chuffed, Moofibou , hoorah for waving and kicking :)

Wizzle My CBFM does that too - although it seems to be calming down now I am a couple of months in. I've taken to perusing the lines when I take the stick out. You can kind of see where it's going as the LH line gets darker as you get nearer the peak and the other line fades.

I'm sure you're not supposed to do that, but feck it Grin

bat - like the new name [hgrin]

nicks Relaxation sounds fab, it gets my vote

tigger hot cider sounds rather lovely; I might have to experiment with that too.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/10/2010 17:04

Fab news caribou that's great [hsmile]

AandRmum well done on the road trip, hope you had a lovely time

nicks definitely go for some relaxation, you deserve it! My copy of TCOYF arrived yesterday while I was at work so having to collect it from the depot tomorrow - looking fwd to actually trying to work out what's going on!

Sorry to all those who have been got by AF ( velvet and sunchild and knitter ?). Fx for this cycle instead x

dachs hope your dog is getting better, I know how upsetting it is when they're poorly [hsad]. Give him an ear rub from me

am very impressed by the domestic goddess-ness on this thread - first choccy with her cakes then mamap with her Christmas cake and tigger with her Halloween menu...really must up my game!!

I'm on my 6th day of CBFM high today [hhmm] so hopefully that will turn into a peak tomorrow. Have to say I'm starting to think the CBFM is Not Actually That Helpful - it's supposed to give you 2-5 days of high before peak (then it's 2 peaks and a high). Tbh having 6 highs, then another 3 days just can't be right. If I was actually fertile for 9 days of a 26-28 day cycle it surely wouldn't have taken me 9 months, 8 months and 3 years respectively to conceive! All that happens is that we start swi-ing on the first high thinking it's going to turn into a peak then by the time the peak comes we're both knackered and getting fed up with it! I'm wondering if it would be better to just do opks instead and swi every other day until I get a +ve?!

Sorry for rant, think I'm going to have a serious review of swi tactics next cycle!!

PrettyMyraMains · 20/10/2010 16:53

Ooooo, shiny noo place.
I found you! [hgrin]
Hey luvlies.
How are we all? [hgrin]
I'm liking these spookysmilies.

WhatBat has guilted me into delurkylurking and saying hello.
Handies are a little better and I have my splint now, so should be fixed soon. [hhmm]

Dachs your poor dog. [hsad]
How is he doing?

Hooooge hello to h'everybody and I promise to catch up soon xx

CaribouMoo · 20/10/2010 16:46

Here you all are, and look what I've missed already! Just back from hospital where I had a lovely 10 week scan, spot on for dates and little bean waving and kicking away. So I'm thinking about taking the plunge and trying out the grads thread while I'm in a positive mood. I've also added my BFP date to the list as I was too scared to tempt fate before.

I'll try my best to pop in and keep in touch with all your news. For now best of luck to each and every one of you, go girls! x

Hello all!

Thanks all, for encouraging me making me feel better about my almond habit. [hsmile]

Hello owlshoes! Hows you?

tigger pumpkin soup sounds good, and I'm having salmon en croute for my tea tomorrow, nom nom. here is a gorgeous recipe for pumpkin cupcakes, sounds awful, but they are delish, and good for getting rid of the huge amounts of pumpkin generated by carvings! Although they are quite high in sugar..

nickster glad you're more relaxed! it can only have a positive effect on things, hey?

Who was on about being a Geordie? Me too! Although I am now in exile [hsad]

dachs Sorry to hear about your dog, the poor thing. I love the christmassy smells too! and pine needles, yum.

waves manically at knitter mouse loola mrspv (i know you're reading this- we miss you!) mamap velvet PFF apples ladyboo and anybody else I may have missed, I do apologise, it's not personal!

mousebacon · 20/10/2010 15:04

Hi, quick update hpt was negative this morning so a big woohoo from me!

Still bleeding (spotting really) so not ttc yet but hopefully won't be too long. Took temp this morning too so that feels like a positive step forward.

Right, better go and get DS xx

AandRMum · 20/10/2010 14:43

Just checked website for Fertility Show. It is on 5-6 November.

AandRMum · 20/10/2010 14:34

... Sorry about that - nappy emergency led to a bit of premature posting!! DD2 seems to be all about poo.

velvet sorry about af but glad it has finally turned up. Good luck with the obs.

pkk sperm on demand is one of the few times I'm glad I'm not a guy .. hmm not quite what I mean but us ladies do seem to get the bulk of the prodding and testing involved in this baby making business - not to mention the saggy tits, ruined belly button etc etc

nicks it gives a new meaning to af or should that be a or f!!

I am on the endless wait for my af ... 5 weeks so far and I am completely symptomless either way grrrr

AandRMum · 20/10/2010 14:18

Hi All, We made it back in one piece ... still a bit shattered from 17h drive both directions but well worth it!!

While I remember there is a Fertility Show in Olympia Earls Court on 4-5 Nov for any if you who are down this way.

knitter sorry your af turned up. Did you manage to get a decent lp with your 25 day cycle?

mamap which Coast are you going to? We head to Sunshine Coast in Jan. Dh booked the tickets straight after mc so I can see my Mum and my Dsis baby who should be born around then - God I hope I am up-duffed by then.

dachs March Christmas baking - is that ultra efficient or running late? I am really up for baking this year - most probably should start doing something about it.

nickstermum · 20/10/2010 12:25

Sorry tigger am not v creative in the kitchen ( can just about manage fish pie!) p soup sounds good or what about pumpkin pie?

nickstermum · 20/10/2010 12:23

Ps to all the ladies with pos opk's fab!! Swimmers can last for ages. We conceived last time shagged 3 days before I think ;) fx for you, either that or just get mega stressed so it delays xx

tigger15 · 20/10/2010 12:17

I was thinking pumpkin soup to start and crumble for desert with ice cream. Main course is morrocan salmon with couscous but not sure about that. Or maybe salmon en croute.

With hot cider (think mulled wine type thing).

nickstermum · 20/10/2010 12:11

Dachs sorry for mixing you up with your mutley :( hope he is ok. Ruffle his ears for me when he comes home ;)

Loola test test test ;) fx for you hun xx

Started temps today ;) reading tcoyf and bizarrely it was talking about effects of stress on ov - now I think this affects me as I get ewcm twice a month, think tcoyf calls it split peak! Where body trying to ov but stress delays it! So am organising acupuncture, haircut and manicure! If I get time a massage too ;) Sid the cost!

Also sounds daft but have moved bed back to where dc1 was conceived rather than what would have been dc2 and have not only improved fung shooey but it's relaxed me too! I know I sound a bit bonkers but sleeping better ;) or maybe just shagged out from such a busy non work week!!

Knitter glad you are ok, was worried you were AWOL

Back to dec ;( happier once it's done but will need new project then- Christmas cake?

Sunny here but v frosty here proper winter sun.... Have a fab day chatter monsters xxx

owlshoes · 20/10/2010 11:42

Hello my lovelies :)

I've decided to add myself back on the list, just for the hell of it.

I'm posting mostly on the July bus at the moment rather than here - hope you don't mind. But for the stats here AF just turned up after a 25 day cycle so it's back to square 1 for me again...

Sigh...
