Izz batty will tell myself it is Af that way the eternal pessimist is never disappointed [hgrin]

youremindmeofthebat · 22/10/2010 19:27

dachs x-post. Sorry to hear that. Sending best wishes.

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 19:27

Ah dachs, not good, not good hon, hope you are ok - ish and that it doesn't take you too long to make a decision about what to do. What does the vet recommend?

youremindmeofthebat · 22/10/2010 19:25

Hola!
Ooh, nickster how promising! fx for you.

I am home alone tonight. No swi for me as a drunken dp will probably roll back after midnight, and want to get frisky, but strangely being awoken from a heavy slumber and having beer fumes breathed all over isn't that enticing. Even on day 15..

I love the moniker Evil Blue Shag Dictator. it makes me laugh out loud. Bossy little gadget.

just had lasagne for tea, was lovely, but ds is going through a won't eat stage. It's driving me crazy. Mostly inwardly, but sometimes outwardly[hblush]

hairy thats brill! really good news, so glad to hear that.

owlshoes Boots are very expensive. I just purchased some last week. What you after? Heel? practical? Utterly Impractical?

DachshundsRule · 22/10/2010 19:19

hello peeps

sorry to moan about a pet on an mc thread, but i'm a bit miserable at the moment. just got results back from dog's tests. inconclusive.

vet still thinks it's probably cancer. lump is too big for any other explanation.

various options now - antibiotics to get inflammation down and hope that's all it is, operation to remove lump, or very strong steroids to prevent spread but doesn't actually make tumour smaller. can't have chemotherapy as he is on steroids for something else and the two don't mix

if he has surgery to remove the lump (which would otherwise be my preferred option as they could then test the lump properly) there is >75% chance that he'll become incontinent. this is not ideal. especially when ttc!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/10/2010 18:05

8 or 9 dpo could be implantation...don't give up hope!

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 18:04

I hate being a woman, so much easier being a man!!

That's going to be my thing for today, one thing that is good about being a woman????

Mmmm dont have a dingle dangle between my legs!

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 18:01

I doubt it izz but that's what am forcing myself trying hard not to convince myself it is!! Can't possibly be as only ov last we'd/ thurs, ans swi thurs night so dates don't fit! The only other time we swi was cd15 too early! Cd32 so 8 or 9 dpo . It's more likely to be the absolute fucker af getting ready to be an absolute barsteward, or I am nursing a uti!!!!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/10/2010 17:28

nicks - could it be...... implantation ? How many dpo are you?

owl - you are truly restrained and yay on the money save!

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 17:15

Cramps more likely cos I have a pot belly and my trousers are tight [hgrin]

owlshoes · 22/10/2010 17:09

Gert lush means "very lovely" in Bristolian :)

Hairy am super-cuffed for you, madam, glad you're getting reassurance from your clinic.

Boots update: Did not buy any (OMG why are they all £100+ ??) Therefore my happy thought for the day is: yay, I've saved £100 quid by failing to find any boots!

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 17:00

Hairy.... News of absolute awesomeness!! Fab fab fab xxxxx

May you continue to be shattered and as sicky as can be ( meant of course in a nice way)

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 16:42

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/10/2010 16:36

lovely news hairy thanks for lettin us know...

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/10/2010 14:04

inbetweener and mummyabroad - another dh here who isn't too bothered either way and like inbetweener our dcs are growing up (now 4 and 7) so I understand where you're coming from. Fx it'll happen for us sooner rather than later.

Hmmm those blood tests sound quite reasonable, will get on google later and have a look.

mamap lmao at "Gert lush". That one really threw me when we moved here!

fab news hairy!!!! It's lovely to hear some happy stories coming through [hgrin]

MummyAbroad · 22/10/2010 13:37

Morning.

Happy thought of the day - Christmas is coming! and my sis and niece are coming out to Costa Rica for the first time ever!

Inbetweener I think I go through that dilema nearly everyday (do I really want to do this?) and I have much less reason to. Its actually a great time for me to get pregnant, working part time from home at the moment, we have got a fantastic full time help, Ds is potty trained etc etc) but the doubts still creep in. DH always makes the doubts worse because like yours he displays a "not too bothered eitherway" attitude about the whole thing. I think the doubts will always be there to be honest, but like you "I know I want this" so I am going to keep pursuing it until someone tells me it cant be done.

By the way - THANK YOU for the inadvertant TV recommendation, I downloaded the inbetweeners, its so funny!!

Izzy I think you are doing really well obeying shag instructions from ClearBlue Shag Dictator Grin. At least on the 2WW you will know you have tried everything possible. Surely out of all the pills, potions, bum in the air waving etc advice we have talked about simple shagging more is the best advice ever? Obviously, as long as your relationship can handle it, if it is starting to make things stressful then make a rule for next month that you cant start too early, (or turn off CBFM?)
Seeing as you have been worried about the progesterone thing for a while I would at least find out how much it is to do it and then try and way up whether the peace of mind is worth the cost. A complete set of bloods plus hormones cost me 130 quid in Costa Rica.

Right gotta go, DS has scissors in his hands....

xxxxxxxxx

inbetweener · 22/10/2010 13:28

Awww triangle thats lovely.

Good for you !!

My happy thought is that its friday today, so I can have a lie in tommorrow morning and then go shopping with my girls !! yay !! Got a bit of birthday money knocking around that I intend to blow Grin

hairytriangle · 22/10/2010 13:18

Hi, all, not been around much due to extreme tiredeness and flopping on the sofa straight after work, and falling asleep!

My happy thought for the day is I had my 7 plus 5 scan today and saw my baby's heartbeat, so - so far so good!

inbetweener · 22/10/2010 13:07

Hello all,

Havent been around much as so much going on at work and then when I come on you girls seem to know each other so well Grin

Its hard work trying to keep up ! But I will make more of an effortWink

Well, I am on CD13. According to ovulation calculator I should have started OV yesterday through to tuesday so we DTD last night and will continue to next tuesday to make sure lol.

Only thing is, the longer this is taking the less sure DH is. He is very much of the " but life is so easy at the moment " school of thought and then that gets me thinking too ! Our girls are no problem at 6 and 8 so I guess it is a scary jump we are making, especially in light of all the cuts and the state of the country. Eeeekkkk so scary.

I dont know what to do lol !!!

I know I want this but its so different to ttc 9 years ago !!

MamaPower · 22/10/2010 11:44

lmao at nix calling wombat, womb!!

My happy thought of the day: bacon sarnie breakers was lush (gert lush as us west country bumpkins say)!

Trying desp. to get out of office (have already put 'out of office' on...hint hint peeps), need to get home and pack and get to the chemist...got another cold pah, I pitty the poor sod that gets landed with sitting by me and dh on plane, with me coughing, sneezing and spluttering like a super trooper!!!

Happy Friday all x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/10/2010 11:44

Oh ok so it's working now.

owl loving the "evil shag dictator", that is so true!!! Ive done 3 cycles and so far have got (1) 13 highs, no peak (2) 6 highs, 2 peaks, 1 more high (3) 8 highs and counting. That makes me supposedly "fertile" for a third of my cycle which is clearly bollocks. It took three fecking years to conceive last time!!!

Anyway am wondering whether to pay for progesterone test to at least clear up the worry about the short LP - in that if, like mamap my progesterone levels are fine, the LP itself shouldn't be a problem and I can forget it. pink did you say you were going for private tests? How did you find a decent FC and get referred? Can you self-refer (ie just ring and book)?

Apologies for not name-checking more, typed a really long post 3 times and each time lost it and now I'm late for lunch with a friend! Will post again later x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/10/2010 11:37

aagh - phone won't let me post!

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 11:22

Ps womb, it's just like a bacterial imbalance I think. Lives in your body naturally, but perhaps the mc have just thrown off the natural balance!

nickstermum · 22/10/2010 11:11

Wonbo, staff!!!!!! Me too! Causes skin conditions where it colonised on face. Mine has anyway, like little red spots, headless but a but rashy and itchy. It's apparently harmless. They gave me abs for it. Sorry u have it babes xx

Owls give it back ...... Evil shag dictator ha ha ha ha genius! Missed you on hollibobs x

Wombat33 · 22/10/2010 09:56

Humm, had my reswab this morning. Apparently the last one picked up Staph (Staphylococcus) but they're not sure if this was because the sample got contaminated or not, hence the reswab. Was this the bug that your swab picked up Nicks or was that Strep??
