I think I started having ovulation pains this afternoon so that would tie in with OPK, really hope tonight goes to plan (have to think myself into a seductive state of mind when all I actually feel like doing is slobbing in front of TV) and we catch that egg before it buggars off again for another month. DH has come home being suspiciously affectionate so here's hoping [hwink]

Izzy I'm not surprised you're fuming. Stupid man. He clearly doesn't understand how upsetting/stressful it is for children (and parents) to have to deal with change and upheaval. I'm glad they're happy where they are though. It shouldn't have happened the way it did but maybe it all worked out for the best if he's as insensitive/unethical as he sounds.

yes it was me with the dodgy thermometer readings - I got into the habit of taking temp while half asleep then turning it on later to read. Basically I discovered that if I turned it on by pressing button once and letting go, it showed me the default 36.5. If I held the button down it would show me the last reading. Could this be where you're going wrong?

mummya in a word, no, I really can't be arsed to fight it and move them back. Although the old school was better on paper, they like the school they're at now, and so do I. Also, although I know I shouldn't think it, the priest is clearly an arse and is very involved at the old school, and I don't like the thought of them being somewhere where they're effectively seen as second class because they were baptised in a different church. I'm just so cross that we went through all this when ww shouldn't have had to. Grrr grrr.

Well done on the baby shower btw, sometimes it's easier when you don't have to think about it beforehand isn't it? Still stressful to have it landed on you like that though!

Thanks Mummy i did take 2 yesterday in desparation :( it goes totally against my grain, but docs have said to me they are safe to take too... i just prefer not to.

sorry you are feeling rough Nix It is safe to take paracetomol in pregnancy, although I can understand why you would be extra wary of taking anything next time round. Having said that I would definitely take paracetomol if I had a fever as the temp rise puts the bean at more risk than any drugs.

I think one of the main problems with my temps is yes Mummy i really should think about resetting it! Knowing how to use the tools would help, yes?!

The other thing, like you, and bats i can be up and down like a yoyo if DS so much as grizzles in his sleep, its programmed into me, as a reflex..... and so that doesnt help!

Have been loading the temps into my phone, IPeriod as it produces a chart only cos i keep forgetting FF passwords. Will start to use FF very soon i promise and your help will be gratefully received.

Pink Nice looking chart there, I dont like the way FF shows you a different size chart pre-ov so maybe you cant see it yet, but it looks great to me. After a big temp rise/ov detected the chart will stretch out and you get more of a range on the vertical side, its MUCH easier to see whats going on then. Good thing DH is saving his energy, I think ov is a coming!
I am quite suprised with myself at how well I took the baby shower, I had been dreading it a few months ago but it was fine. I think it helped that NO ONE asked me when I was going to have a baby next, dont know if that was accident or design but I was grateful.

Nix does seem a bit dodgey that your temps are all the same. Want to share you chart? I remember someone (Izzy?) on here had a themometer that reverted to the same setting every day if you didnt manually switch it off after use. Could this be your case? It cant be right if it is giving exactly the same temp. Thanks for all your lovely compliments by the way Most people on charters have celcius themometers, I dont think it makes any difference which you have, there are millions of charts on there and on FF that you can compare with (there is a cool overlay button where you place your chart over someone elses)

batgirl sorry you are ill. rubbish. DS wakes me up everynight too. He comes crawling into our bed doing the headkicking thing too. I just stick the themometer in as soon as I wake up, no matter what time of night that is. occasionally I have to get out of bed to see him and then I cant take a temp but otherwise I can still get a chart to work. For the first week or so I tried taking my temp as soon as I woke, and also taking at a set wake up time (6) and then comparing the two. The first waking one was always more accurate as long as I had had at least three hours sleep. I found the more I did it the easier it is to spot an inaccurate temp and discard it, but obviously around ov time when its a bit more crucial I just prey that DS will let me temp properly!

Izz saw your 80's facebook photos! Nice! sorry about your priest/ds's school. Have you got enough fight in you to get them moved back? Or is that silly as it would cause even more disruption? Hope things look a bit better when the hangover has gone. xxxx

nicks I do think your symptoms sound promising!!! My temp sometimes looks pretty static, so try not to worry, main thing at this time of the month is you don't want it to dip, so I guess static is actually good. Will be watching for news [hsmile]

wonderif welcome to the thread, although I'm sorry you're here. I remember you from your mc thread at the time because it was only a week or two after my mmc at 16/17 weeks. I hope things settle down for you soon and you get some good news. Fwiw, I had implantation bleeding in all my pregnancies, so wouldn't rule it out.

pink I also got a similarly scary list of forbidden food from my acupuncturist - I have to admit I'm not getting too carried away with it. I'm vegetarian so limited enough as it is and I do think a certain amount of eg dairy products are good for you. I'm looking on it as guidance, but am not going to follow it to the letter. Anyway, having drunk my own body weight in wine on Saturday, there seems to be little point in trying to treat my body like a temple now (unless it's some kind of Bacchinalian temple where everyone just gets pissed).

cd20 here and CBFM has just gone to peak. Seeing as my usual cycle is 28-29 days and last month was 26 with spotting from day 24, this is pretty crap. Still I'm ever the optimist and so the shagathon continues...

Also feeling pretty pissed off - and I know this is off topic - because I was talking to some of the mums from DS's old school at the party and found out that we've been truly screwwmed over (for want of a better phrase) by the priest re schools. I know I've mentioned it before but basically DS had to move schools halfway through year1 in march because DD couldn't get into his (catholic) school because they were baptised CofE. I actually converted to Catholicism a while ago when DS first started school, he and DD went to the catholic pre-school too. They come to mass with me every week and I asked the priest whether they could be received into the church and he said no, because they were already baptised. Have now found out this is bollocks, they could have been received into the church and DD would then have counted ad catholic, and got a school place as a catholic sibling. DS would not have had to move and all that stress and the sleepless nights could have been avoided.

I am so [hangry] that he basically lied to us and was prepared to watch little children be subjected to all that upheaval and disruption unneccessarily just because they were baptised in a different church. It's mad.

Anyway enough of my ranting - sorry. It's just that my faith is one of the few things that's kept me going since the mmc and now I just don't know how I feel about it anymore [hsad]

wonderif sorry my reply to you last night was so short and i hope not sounding blunt or insincere...why do i always post when falling asleep from a phone that cant spell? So... i wanted to say a big warm welcome to you, its rubbish you find yourself on here, and i am so very very sorry you have suffered your loss. I hope you are muddling through and are able to look forward. I hope your bleed is implantation, i really do! I am probably not the best person to ask about dates, as mine seem twice as long as everyone elses! The reason i mentioned mid cycle bleeding is because i got that for the first time ever this month just gone! around day 13/14 spotting!... i then didnt ov for a few days...delayed by stress though i think! Seconding Jam i have never had OV bleed before, and this is my first proper cycle post MC... so body is just doing what it wants!!

Anyway, i hope it is implantation, that would be wonderful :) If it is OV and you are wanting to TTC then it could be just the right time to catch the egg, if thats what you are ready to do :) big squeeze

Flat line chart... mmmm maybe not. may have to upgrade to a farenheit then at least i can compare it with the others in the book [hgrin]

Welcome wonderif, sorry to find you here but I hope we can help. It does seem a bit early for an implantation bleed but tbh who knows!? One thing (apart from the obvious ) that we all have in common on this thread is that post mc our bodies don't do what we think they're going to do when we think they should do it. I have had one ovulation bleed in my life and that was shortly after my mc but fingers crossed yours is implantation.

Good luck for the doctor's appt mummy. It's really no wonder you get worked up before, you've had such a lot of them recently and none if them have resulted in reassurance or a solution, so I've got everything crossed that this one gives you some answers.

Thanks also for advice re. swi and opks! I was wondering how useful the OPK was because I'd already decided to try (if Dh is feeling obliging ) to dtd every other day during fertile period, so have so far on day 8, 10 and plan to tonight and wednesday (oh nothing like a bit of spontaneity ). Then I saw that positive OPK and got thrown. Then again, I don't think I could do without them as like everyone else on here I'm pretty obsessed with what my body is doing and observing it gives me the delusion of control when of course it is almost entirely out of my hands! Oh for the days of just shagging and seeing what happens...
