A comfy little corner for those who need company in the post mc ttc journey!

nix I loooooooove the song btw! X

PinkFondantFancy · 29/10/2010 08:21

Hey izz I'm not convinced by my cbfm either. I know it's the first cycle I've used it and it takes a couple to get to know you but I am on my 8th day of high now!! I am so glad I took your advice about avoiding an early panic shag!! :) I reckon if you dtd on cd21 you've got an excellent chance, they can live for up to 5 days and need to be hanging around waiting for eggy to make its appearance so think you're fine (in my somewhat underqualified opinion...!)

Hello RFTH nice to meet you. Fingers crossed for a nice bfp for you!

batty mmmmmmmmmm to almond choccy! I have zero willpower so I just have to avoid going anywhere that sells that sort of stuff. Ooh nix if I start losing weight then I reckon I can defo keep this up, until around 24th December where I might go crazy for a week and then go through the withdrawal pain again....

Have a lovely Friday everyone xx

skeletalnix · 29/10/2010 07:46

Izz a big whoop for the ov and commiserations on the death of the evil shag dictator! day 22 huh, tcoyf says that many women avoid pg inadvertently by simply snagging at the wrong time, I fall into that trap! Temping has just proved itself to me!! Sounds to me like swi day20 and 21 should have some waiting up there.... Burrow little swimmers!!! Hope you get a long enough lp [hgrin]

mummy I am so glad I have met you, and your knowledge!

skeletalnix · 29/10/2010 07:39

fondant good article!! Well done glad detox has helped improve acu!! :) I did a sugar free programme a couple of years back before ds conception, to help my Ibs, tell u what I lost a stone! That was taking to extreme tho, down to looking at sugar free bread, cereals, crisps, think I may follow your lead on this and do the same again - thanks! Can't hurt! Also tcoyf makes comment about the effect of drinking too! Will have to find the page!

Up at this ridiculous hour to take my temp!!!!! [hangry]

PinkFondantFancy · 29/10/2010 06:54

Hello gang just a quicky, because as per usual I'm checking MN instead of getting ready for work...... Here's the link about sugar macrobiotics.co.uk/sugar.htm I haven't done much more googling to see if this is the opinion of just one website but sounds plausible. It says that "As sugar is consumed, our cells are robbed of their B vitamin, which destroys them, and insulin production is inhibited." It then goes on to say this can lead to a confused mental state!!!! Huh, also could explain a lot..... Grin!

Detox is going pretty well actually - I had a piece of cake last nigh for DH's birthday but apart from that, no chocolate, sweets or biscuits since Saturday!!!!! Whooop! Had more acupunture yest, was much better than the first time, you were right nix

mummya whoop for the blood, how's it looking today?

batty I've got my fingers crossed for you hun!

Right gotta run, proper catch up soon I promise! xxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 29/10/2010 05:08

Well done miniboo !!

mummya aka the oracle, my CBFM and I bow down to your superior knowledge (unfortunately for me!). Despite the CBFM showing peak on cd20, my temps have only just risen and the graph def shows ov on cd22 or 23 (just waiting for it to draw the line, prob tomorrow). Last swi of the shagathon was cd21 - does this mean (ignoring forca second the qu of LP) I've no chance? [hsad]

sorry for mememe post, just a bit disappointed. mummya - hope the bleeding was a sign the pill is working (must be having some effect) and AF is queueing up to arrive in 5 days time [hsmile]

MummyAbroad · 29/10/2010 00:35

Helloooooo. No news from me, have to take the pill for another 5 days, so I guess if anything is gonna happen it will be when I stop. Dont worry I will be straight on MN with the gory details Grin

Welcome back RunForTheHills Smile hope you dont have to stay long IUSWIM. xxx

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 23:35

Re reading posts, in awe of your quilt making skills bats. stitched or crochet? Intrigued :)
mummy any news????

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 23:26

That would be some days better than others, and cracked wee ages ago

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 23:23

Boo short nails for you then my lovely! On arandom note re sugar, my Dsis does no sugar detox programmes for her clients suffering with bowel probs and skin conditions and wit not! Wil get some info from her if you like? tWas her told me to get bvit complex, and efa high doses of 369 post mc.

Re potty. It's been a long process for us really, not helped by him not being with me 4 days / week! Mummy made good suggestions re book and doll, sadly dh would never let me buy a doll, even tho he loves them! Great no accidents!!! Prepare for them tho, some data better than others. Ds cracked weds ages ago but has taken his time with poos, not helped in that he holds it in! From personal experience, theres no major rush!I was being pushed by mum cos of course I was potty trained by age 1 - but there is no science! Well done headless son :)

HeadlessLadyBoo · 28/10/2010 22:39

OMG I think that is just about the most cringe-inducing thing I've read on this thread yet Grin...

Pink I'm interested in this sugar - bvits thing. I had an episode a while ago where it was discovered I had really really low b12. Had to have shots of b12 to get the level back up and then all sorts of tests to try to work out why. Never was given a satisfactory answer, just told to keep an eye on them. Am curious...hit me with those links

Nicks thanks you don't know how reassuring it is to be given that sort of information. I don't know what possessed me to buy the GF book. Although...we had a breakthrough today - hurrah! no accidents. Even if it all goes terribly wrong tomorrow I will remember this day and hang on to it.
Oh, and don't feel bad..I haven't sex yet this month...we're not a happy couple at the moment. Who knows, might get one in tonight if I'm lucky. I got a high on CBFM this morning and FF is predicting OV on Sunday so am hoping to maybe get tonight and Saturday night or something. Who knows.

urban you naughty tax cheat you.

Izzy the CBFM is programmed to always give you a second day of peak then a day of high after the first peak. It'll do this even if you don't test (at least it will give you the high, don't know about the peak, haven't checked that).

Owl huh. Limbo is a horrid place. Do you temp? Have they plummeted or still high? Internet cheapies could lie. (Yes you can slap me).

velvetcu prediction is pretty much down to looking at cervical mucous and OPKs. Oh and cervical position if you want to go rummaging. Temp charts just tell you when you can stop Smile

hi mousebacon. Your name still weirds me out.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/10/2010 22:39

Ouch nicks !!

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 22:34

Or could you have been cervix checking with long nails? There is of course that!

youremindmeofthebat · 28/10/2010 22:23

shhh. it's probably a bruised cervix from too much swi.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/10/2010 21:21

nicks I also don't want to jinx batfink but > I think it could

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 20:59

bats fab brown stuff. I won't say it in case I jinx it, but sh ....... could it be?????! Day 21? [hgrin]

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 19:48

bats tryimg to think of one to "pop goes the weasel" but cant! (damn and buggeration)

GetDownYouWillFall · 28/10/2010 19:41

Ooo goody! I didn't like her

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 19:40

getdown that irritating blond girl from the apprentice got bulleted just in case you still didnt know [hgrin]

youremindmeofthebat · 28/10/2010 19:36

Mad as a box of frogs. But how mad is such a box of aforementioned frogs? As mad as nicks I say. Love the poem/song!

All well over here, I have had a day or two of browny stuff, and no other symptoms AT ALL. Hence I am getting my hopes up, even only on day 21 as I am. What a bloody nutter.

Welcome back run. Glad your amnesty has improved your outlook. Fx for a 40 baby for you.

Wheres mummyA? Got all extremities crossed for her, even my legs, given that there's half decent shit on the tv and day 21 is too late anyway!

I too will join you, izzy in awe of pink if she is detoxing. I have made a concerted effort today not to eat shit, and just popped into aldi on the way home, and fell for their almond chocolate( do we sense an almond addiction over here??) which is lush and cheap.

Hope chocky is ok, and being at home and the funeral is going as well as expected.

I wish I was in mamap's suitcase.. I feel like I could do with a break. I have finished making my quilt for my SIL's baby, and now will start on a double one for my best friend

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/10/2010 19:36

getdown - you're back Smile

owl - come back!!

GetDownYouWillFall · 28/10/2010 19:35

i'm not a nutter really

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 19:34

now now children...... no list squabbling tonight, or i will think of another spooky rhyme to keep you all amused!

GetDownYouWillFall · 28/10/2010 19:13

just take me off the list then, see if I care

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/10/2010 18:30
