Everything crossed for you mummy xxx

Glad I am not the only one with a dirty mind!
GetDown, I also read that the more weeks advanced into pregnancy you were the longer it takes for cycles to resume, sorry cant remember where though or I would post the link.

Have you read this? Lots of info here about cycles coming back. Mine never did unfortunately... I would say go and see the doc if you dont have period after 7 weeks. I know lots of women on here got AF at 10 or 12, but going by my experience its better to get checked out as soon as you are officially "late" Statistically speaking, very few women dont get their cycles back, and I have nabbed that place on this thread so you should be fine!Wink

youremindme Yup, I take my last pill on Wednesday. Feeling dead nervous about everything, as it means throwing myself back into investigations/tests and generally hoping everything is alright and worrying a lot. At least these last couple of weeks has been a bit of a break from that. I know my gyne will be happy with a bleed and just leave it at that, but I need proper answers now, after all this palava I really want to know WHY all this has happened otherwise I feel that there is every chance that I have a problem that will cause an mc again. It just seems plain silly to ignore this much "non standard" operations from my body. Bleeding is definitely better than no bleeding though. FX for me. xxx

Evening all :)

I'm still trusting the CBFM but that's mainly cos the first month I used it when I look at the sticks (and yes, I looked at every day in a row from when it started telling me high) I could see the one bar fading and the other bar suddenly increasing - which matched the OPKs I was doing.

Okay, too many sticks.

Nicks brazil nuts are a bit gross, aren't they, too greasy for my liking. Been eating them anyway (not that it's done anything at all). Might start on the grapefruit juice this month, just for the hell of it. :)

Been visting the in laws for the last few days; what a horror. Am disappointed that we've had no bfps in my absence!

Hope everyone's well & enjoying the last few shreds of the weekend :)

youremindmeofthebat · 31/10/2010 19:47

I read cockathon too! dirty mind, i have. Aw, skelly, your ds sounds lovely and caring. what a sweetie. ((hugs)) for you. Well done on the cooking, and general domestic godessyness of you! I did roast dinner and cupcakes

getdown I'm convinced thatI didn't ovulate the first cycle, maybe 2. I don't know why really. My forst wft cycle was 8 weeks long, with a 10 day super heavy period, before I used to be 3/4 days max, and then the next was 40 days, and then 38, then 33 ish?? And tunnocks all mine have been 9 days at least post erpc, when i used to tend towards 3 days. And very heavy [hsad]

inbetweener I have only refrained from poas ing so far as told myself that it would only work with fmu, and then not using it day by day!! It's a daily struggle [hconfused]

mummya How goes it? 3 more days left on the pill now? 5 till a bleed, I reckon.

Waves to velvet enjoying her half term, hopefully, apple pretty tigger jolls jam urban izzy apple and everyone i've undoubtably missed, I love you all!

skeletalnix · 31/10/2010 19:12

That actually should read love to all xxx

skeletalnix · 31/10/2010 19:10

Have been ever so positive this last 2 weeks with time off and keeping busy with decorating, then watched rod Stewart interview last night with penny Lancaster talking about inability to conceive no 2 (sorry if this sounds insensitive To those trying for no 1) and tat set me off..., then twice this weekend ds made reference to his little brother :( today he wanted to buy a Thomas jumper for his little brother, he said for when he gets one!, and keeps saying how much he wants one :( much as it's lovely he wants one, I feel so much like a failure, and even more desperate to provide him with one :( roll on day 18 for some action!!

My motto is to be chilled for next 7 days to make sure don't delay ov! Grapefruit nice too but not too much..... Cannot believe I ate 2 large bags of brazil nuts last week.... For the greater good!!! Hate them

Live to all.... Mwah!

skeletalnix · 31/10/2010 19:00

Ps Teacake my first Af post mc was also incredibly heavy, so painful I could hardly stand up straight, and lasted over 8 days. If that's any consolation! Bodies have no clue as mc totally screws them up sadly :(

skeletalnix · 31/10/2010 18:55

Get down, I have read it takes longer to get back to normal If you have mc at say 20 weeks or something due to the hormone levels etc, and the body returning to normal but that's only what have read on here!!

skeletalnix · 31/10/2010 18:53

Mummy mummy mummy..... Where is your mind?????

Wishing for a mega cockathon that's for sure !!! Although no for a week or so

Teacake! My Af consistency has been bizarre post mc. Several have posted it's totally diff, clitty, sorry clotty, and kind of off in texture. Tmi mine has been a bit stringy iykwim and not normal! Interested to hear what doc says! If anything had stayed in the womb wouldn't you have seen it on the scan?

Cannot believe I forgot the clock change.... Every time!!

Fondant, try not to stress about it toots! Glad did not purchase evil shag dictator now! Sounds rubbish !!

GetDownYouWillFall · 31/10/2010 18:40

can I ask a question ladies? I am driving myself crazy here.

AFter a MC, I know there is an element of WTF to your cycle for a while, but how long do you think it takes on average to ov. again?

Also do you think if it was an early MC (just 5 weeks) then your cycle stabilises again quicker?

Or is there really no rhyme or reason to it all?

Just can't bear the thought of months more waiting Sad

GetDownYouWillFall · 31/10/2010 18:36

I'm glad I'm not the only one to misread it MummyAbroad Blush

I thought I must be really losing the plot Grin

MummyAbroad · 31/10/2010 18:34

Hey Nix

was reading a bit fast and thought I saw "cockathon" for a minute GrinGrinGrinGrin

skeletalnix · 31/10/2010 18:33

Fondant... No to nettle tea, yes to chicken soup, we are two leos in the same house too, not a pretty sight sometimes! Try bathing mr ice willy in some dilute teatree or lavender! Failing that stick a plaster on it!! Mega cookathon in this house today spag sauce, chile, lamb casserole, roast dinner and dh has cleaned up the kitchen fab!! No not greedy, batch for the freezer, otherwise we will end up living on rubbish!! Mmm just tempted by sticky toffee puffing, but no.... Will abstain in support of detox!!!

HidingInTheBackRow · 31/10/2010 18:31

Maybe this is where I have been going wrong...not enough sneezing Wink

MummyAbroad · 31/10/2010 18:30

Hi inbetweener, its a real killer isnt it? (knowing you have pee sticks in the house) The only thing that (sometimes) worked in stopping me from PingOAS was the thought that if I was testing early and it was negative, I wouldnt believe the result anyway (because its too early) so there wasnt much point, having said that sometimes peeing on it is the only way to get rid of the temptation!

Hi Pink - I think your FF chart looks great. you have 4 temps above the coverline! and nice solid red lines! (they are dotted when FF is not sure you ovulated) I agree with Izzy the sunday 24 is just a stray temp and doesnt mean anything, its when they are consistently up everyday you know ov has happened. Enjoy your rest!

PinkFondantFancy · 31/10/2010 18:10

Some of us are in our 20s and struggling for our first.... Confused Anyway understand what you mean about the frustration....

inbetweener · 31/10/2010 16:10

kat im the same. Being optimistic I was too early, but deep down I think I know its a no.
Sad
God this was easier when I was in my twenties !! I sneezed and got pg with dd1 !!!!!

inbetweener · 31/10/2010 16:08

hello all,
Have just ordered 25 IC tests Blushon your good advice,
For all my bravado and im not gonna test again talk Im sooooooo desperate to find out.
AF is due friday now !!
I have felt tired today even though DH let me have a lie in.
I watched paranormal activity last night and was absolutely shitting myself so dtd was done lol !!!!!!! I was petrified.

Ahhhh I cant concentrate. I know the last remaining FR is upstairs and I wanna pee on it lol !!!!!!!!!

kat2504 · 31/10/2010 13:37

Sorry for lack of news but oved later this month so not really due till Wednesday. Done one test, bfn, but could be too early will try again tomorrow. Not optimistic but we are well overdue for a good result on here!

appleblossoms · 31/10/2010 13:09

tunnocks my af was definitely heavier after mc, lasting over a week each time... I think anything's normal in the months following a mc, but if you're worried a trip to the doc is always sensible. x

Good morning lovely ladies
To pee or not to pee????
Was detertimined not to buy any sticks till af due but got payed on thurs so ended up in boots....BFN thurs then stupidly used the other on fri BFN.
So UCL before mmc was 29 days on cd 27 don't know what to do its driving me mental.... Just really unsure if it will be a 29 day cycle but I did ovulate on cd 15 which was my normal day post mc... & we dtd the day before & day after.
Going to PIL for Sunday lunch tried to get out of it so I could sneak out to boots!! Don't want dh to know what I'm up to...you know what they are like!!!!
Keep you all posted fx!

youremindmeofthebat · 31/10/2010 10:53

pff have you tried nettle tea? Bleuuurrrggghh.

No time now, gotta clean the house, make sunday roast and cupcakes and do some washing. Busy busy busy. Hope you're all well, post later.

PinkFondantFancy · 31/10/2010 10:31

kat, urban, choccy any news???? We are overdue a BFP on this thread - longest it's been without one in recent history is 15 days so it's time!! No pressure or anything....

PinkFondantFancy · 31/10/2010 09:29

thanks guys, izzy that is a good idea, will wait for AF then work out when I think ov might happen and see how it compares with the dates. It's quite hard to get an appointment there though, so I'll have to just accept it if it does happen to be around ov. I might get a bit stressed about the appointment anyway so might be that ov is a bit all over the place next month in any case. Not sure having two leos in the house would be a good idea anyway, poor DH has enough on his plate dealing with one!! [hgrin] izzy I've got a theory that the CBFM just gives you numbers of bars based on the CD and what it thinks could be plausible, and the pee sticks are just a cunning way of a) making you think it's doing something more scientific and b) making more money!! 10 sticks a cycle my @rse......

Oh apparently chicken soup made with bones from an organic chicken are supposed to be good for fertility according to acupuncturist. So I am off in search of a recipe now. For the veggies out there, nettle soup is also supposed to be great - not a hope that I could convince DH to eat that though!!!!! I have just had the horrible realisation that I've left my food sheet that says 'fertility' all over it at work..... [hblush] - hope no-one goes digging round my desk this weekend!!!
