PCOS and TTC! Anyone want to join with me?

I ladies. I have DD1 (almost 3) and DH and I have begun talking about TTC #2. It took nearly 4 years to conceive DD1 and we finally had success with a course of clomid.

I am now in Canada and have just been referred to a new gynecologist who is apparently the leading expert in PCOS in Canada. So hopefully he will be able to help speed things along. I don't think I could take another 4 year wait.

Does anyone else want to join??

Welcome pink, it's really nice like boba says to find a place to vent when you can discuss things with people who have the same problems. I really hope the Clomid goes well for you two.

So got a BFP this morning Grin. A bit of bleeding yesterday but it's stopped now so fingers crossed it was implantation bleeding and everything will calm down now. Am a bit freaked by it being almost exactly a year since the last pg - but this time am taking metformin so I'm hoping that will help with beanstickiness. Smile Thanks for wishing me luck, ladies. Grin

Not out yet Lucy

Welcome Pinkapples I totally understand how you feel. I wasn't diagnosed untill 3 years ago but had been complaining to GP with various symptoms since I was 16. I've done Clomid too but unsuccessful! Fingers crossed for you!

Boba know exactly how you feel! It makes you wanna smack that person - alcohol or not!!!! A friend of mine boasted it took her 9 days to get pg & currently a pg friend on fb is getting on my nerves with her constant updates that she'll be the next to be blocked!

pinkapples · 01/01/2011 16:18

hehe i know how you feel, i have run out of responses for, "awww, newly married, it will be babies next" if only they knew if wasnt that easy! Well i wont say it will be you next, but i wish you luck...

Happy New Year everyone

Welcome pink I've only recently been diagnosed and am now on second round of Clomid. I hadn't had a period for nine months so although disappointing not to be pregnant it was a very welcome AF!

I'm feeling v Xmas Angry today. We were out last night and near end of night the husband of newly preg friend decided to tell me how sorry they feel for us and how they feel awkward and it'll be our turn soon. I know he meant well & it was alcohol induced but I really wanted to scream at him. No-one in RL has any idea what we're going through. They think just because they've had to try for 4 months they know how it feels and if one more person says it'll be us next . . . . Aaaaaaaargh!!

Thank God I can vent on here.

Hey everyone... been looking through literally loads of forums and thought i'd see if i can join this one. Never done this before but struggling to cope and no matter what my DH says he doesnt understand.

boba82 · 30/12/2010 20:38

that's good news lucy FX for you it's your month. x

lucysnowe · 30/12/2010 12:04

Hi all

Hope you had good Christmasses!

well my blood test came up positive, yay, I did ovulate - not sure where to go from now though as I still don't know when I ovulate and nothing but blood tests seem to indicate it. Am feeling a bit bleugh and sore boobs-ish so this could be my month - we shall see. Ironically enough the last time I had a positive blood test I was pg - but went on to m/c at nine weeks. Also that was over Xmas too. Confused

lucysnowe · 22/12/2010 12:56

Hi fairy, ah, sorry to hear that. Hope you and everyone has nice boozy Christmas :-)

I am having temp issue (boh) in that they seem to have gone up but am not sure, and am meant to have a smear tonight but think I may have to cancel on the v. unlikely chance 1. I ovulated 2. I am preggers. Also need to book a blood test to see if I have, and am not sure whether to do it not or yet. bloody bastard cycles. Ah well. Happy Christmas everyone. Smile

You lucky thing! Grin

wallydog · 15/12/2010 22:52

My scan came back all clear! Just waiting for results of a blood test now - had last Friday! I may ring Doc's tomorrow to see if they are back yet? Do ya think?

womanlytales · 13/12/2010 13:18

Any news fairy - - I tend to lurk on this list but reading your last post - I totally heard you on the bloody pcos comment - - all the very best.

Fairyontopofthexmastree · 10/12/2010 23:41

I really don't know Lucy. Testing tomorrow but won't be the first time my body messed me around. The brown discharge stopped days ago so don't think ectopic is an option.

Fingers crossed too!

lucysnowe · 10/12/2010 12:15

Oh, fairy, that sounds exciting, do you think maybe you are pg? Fingers crossed!!!

(Not to scare you because this is v. v. v. unlikely but if you are having strong cramps and a LOT of brownish discharge there is a v. small possibility of ectopic - only mentioning just because it's good to catch it early.)

Good luck with your appointments. I have to get through this lot of metformin then I will go back to the doc and she will refer me, hopefully...
