The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Yep weeks and days since start of last period. So 8+3 (and whingy toddler) here today! (or 6+2 since stealth shag Wink)

I've looked in on those BESHs a couple of times and always come away feeling confused. Recalling seeing Truffkin over there I believe (arranges heavies to kidnap Truff and bring her back to the mantalness fold Grin).

Feel better hugs for Nervous and Josie, Yay hugs for BFP viroids and hugs for anyone else wanting one too.

takethatlady · 11/11/2010 11:58

Thanks ladies. Yep, it means 7 weeks 4 days :)

I'm going for cheapy Tesco tests now, since the Clearblue went 3+. If that means 3+ babies I'm done for Grin!

I'm on the BESH thread and think it was all abit unnecessary. It's TTC - people are going to get pregnant and move on and new people are going to come in - look at this lovely thread - everyone's so welcoming, can you imagine treating other people like that?! I'm sticking around on it though - I like the ones who are left ( I liked the ones who've decided to leave too, but think they are over-reacting).

TTL you'll be fine, fine, fine - With DD I didn't have any symptoms at all for the whole pregnancy. it's not a bad thing (ask nomorechoc!)

JosieSmith1 · 11/11/2010 11:47

Nervous I don't know which thread you mean Confused, I'm not in with the abbreviations Grin

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 11:18

crikey BB just read that thread. TTF I'm on this one is all I can say!

vallinnapod - am appalled at your apparent lack of studying of all things PG related. Must try harder. Wink.

vallinnapod · 11/11/2010 11:12

Well, my grammer had left the building!

vallinnapod · 11/11/2010 11:11

TTL 7+4 - I can't believe there is something I don't know Wink but does that mean 7 weeks 4 days? If so, when do you count from.

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 10:58

Didn't mean to post yet!

BB no I dont' venture on to that thread as I hardly understood it, but as I'm skiving working from home, will go and investigate.

Hope all other viroids are doing well. Eskarina hope you feel better, and Truffkin come back into the fold! It's fun and fertile in here :)

Sticky thoughts to the BFP and Babydust to the rest.

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 10:56

Morning - am in a slightly less murderous mood this morning Wink. Thanks for the support, and for recognising that it's not my hormones making me over-sensitive, but it is in fact OH being more annoying than normal! He just did a string of irritating things and has been a bit selfish of late. Not in a serious way, just enough to tip me over the edge but that could be due to PMT after all.

TTL hope the test eases your fears. You really should get shares in the company. Possibly even a loyalty card?

Can't scroll back the page to see who wrote it, (Dyna?) but very funny about teasing your OH about 1-2 meaning the number of beans. Can't wait till you show him one that says 3-4 Grin

BrassicaBabe · 11/11/2010 10:04

Blime. Has anyone read the BESH thread? I've lurked on and off there since the beginning of the year but never posted as they would such a close knit "in" bunch. They were cetainly funny even though they were having a really tough time TTC. It looks like it's imploded rather with newbies joining and long standing thread members leaving. Sad

takethatlady · 11/11/2010 10:02

Hey bb yes everything is absolutely fine. Too fine! Felt weirdly worried when I woke up this morning because my symptoms feel like they're tapering off - but I know it doesn't mean anything.

Going to do another test just to put my mind at rest, but there's no problem! Have FINALLY heard from the midwife and will apparently get a call to organise my appointment over the weekend.

Congrats again on your BFP! Mine took a few days to get darker :)

OP posts:
BrassicaBabe · 11/11/2010 09:27

Ninja posting again today. Grin

Thanks guys. Blush

Another feint BFP today. Was hoping the line would be darker. But it's about the same. DH is very "meh" at the moment. I think he's scared to get excited. I'm not sure at what point he will get excited though.

Sorry for the bad mood nervous. Living with a "first class knob" when you have PMT must be a PITA Wink

takethat is everything ok? (I can't judge the tone in your post.)

takethatlady · 11/11/2010 08:11

If it helps dyna I'm 7+4 and having lost most of my symptoms over the last couple of days I'm off to buy another test as soon as the pharmacy opens Hmm

Saves me money on an early scan, I s'pose ...

No restraint here at all!

OP posts:
Dynababy · 11/11/2010 08:06

Oh my god BB yay!!!! Congratulations, so excited for you! Progesterone is right up there so will defo help mini brassica get comfy and set up home! I really do hope we 3 BFP this week bring everyone else some luck! I did French digi today as official due date and got enceinte 1-2 so happy it's confirmed by digi and think I'll lay off the tests for a week and see if get 2-3 next week. Sounds sensible but not sure I'm capable of being sensible we'll see! Sorry shortone again iPhone doing my head in! Hugs and luck viroids

cremegg · 11/11/2010 06:45

yeouch ttl that 'split in half' comment made me cringe! DHs are def all knobs (bet mine will be when he finds pistachio shells in his snack today...) esp. when hormones are out.. tho i got my DH good this morning, did a digi (hooray) and told him the 1-2 meant we could have 2 beans in there... [evil laugh]... tho Nans a fraternal twin so shouldnt really joke!

Yay to bb and lol to the using of the 100 cheapies, why not eh?!

vallinna that is one messed up dream... side effect from sniffing?? ceramic chicken egg holder?!

josie sounds like a tough one at the mo, hugs your way :o It's perfectly ok to be more upset re animals than people too!

nervous im going to go with a def C, along with a or b...

am going to brave swimming later... hoping the water will at least hold boobs up for a while, it hurt to have the seatbelt on today!

takethatlady · 10/11/2010 23:28

Reckon it's a combo of A and C or B and C. Definitely C is a part of it, because all OH's are first class knobs at hormonal times.

Not because of the hormones, but because they have excellent knobbish timing :)

What did he do?!

Mine seems to think it's funny to say stuff like 'you're going to get split in half when you give birth' and 'if you're out of it I'll start telling the doctors what to do' and so on. I have told him this is not funny but he seems to think it is

In reality he's going to be fainting with fear and worry when it comes to it. Who'll be laughing then Grin

OP posts:
NervousNelly · 10/11/2010 22:58

I have a quiz for you.

NervousNelly is in a REALLY bad mood. Is the reason for this:

A. She is pregnant
B. She has PMT
C. Her OH is a first class knob.

Eskarina · 10/11/2010 22:07

Sorry for a grumpy post. Really am knackered. Must get more sleep and stop waking up at 5.30am. It buggers up my temp charts too Grin

Eskarina · 10/11/2010 22:06

BB Wow! sending the stickiest superglue your way.
I can't keep up with all your posts that appear during the day. Plus I'm knackered and have had news of about 10 million pregnant people today (Brassica, don't begrudge you for a second, but have heard of 2 people, the Dsis and SIL of a good friend of mine who have both just gotten pregnant at the drop of a hat, and want some of whatever they're taking to get their luck in. And friend is also pg so that's 3 babies in their family due within about 3 weeks!)

baby2b · 10/11/2010 21:24

Congratulations BB, really pleased for you Grin

This thread is getting very lucky! I want everyone to get a bfp so we can all move onto the next stage together. The pg threads seem a bit serious and scary!

NervousNelly · 10/11/2010 21:10

Brassica - holy sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttt. I read that post earlier and TOTALLy missed it. Congratulations Grin. Here, have some treacle. And some syrup. And maybe even some glue. Stick. Stick. Stick.

That's really sad about your friends horse Josie. Every owners worst nightmare :( Hugs for you.

Vallina ummm - what's in those drugs you are sniffing Wink

I've not been cheating TTL. No testing for me. I'd be so astonished to be PG this. month that it hardly seems worth wasting the test Hmm.

Hope all the viroids are well.

SingingMog · 10/11/2010 18:50

Three BFPs! GrinGrinGrin

Vallinna, how much cheese have you been eating before going to bed? Sounds like you are having crazy cheese dreams. Either that or you are slowly going nuts. Just hope we don't have to get you a nut box!

I had a coffee today, so am totally hyper. Had given up all caffeine but then was so sleepy I felt I had to! Also spent an hour recording "Knock on Wood" (the Seal version) for a sixth-formers coursework. Had creaky voice afterwards from trying to sound like him!

Truffkin · 10/11/2010 18:08

Although I haven't been on this fred for a long time (as we're not JSing anymore and I could no longer keep up the pretence!) but had to pop back to congratulate Brassica so excited for you sweet cheeks!

Maybe I should rethink my decision to stick to other threads, as this one has clearly got lucky Grin

takethatlady · 10/11/2010 17:20

Just a quick one as I'm leaving work in a hurry to avoid a) students wanting their work back and b) a lecherous old Professor who I'm pretty sure is staring at my chest whenever I talk to him and who is hovering about in the corridor ...

bb oooooooooo.mmmmmmmmmm.gggggggggggg. There must be something in the water! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Just as you were on the verge of going for IVF. Praying it sticks, as for all the other BFPs (and me and nmcb and some of the older BFPs ...)

Lovely thoughts from the ladies not yet upduffed, but you will get there. If I was superstitious vallina I'd say your dream was an omen. Either you're definitely going to get preg soon or you've got chicken for tea Grin

Congratulations again ladies. And good luck to all those still to test (and those who have been pretending not to test but actually testing, like little miss brassica!!!)
