The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Happy Birthday mog!

Fingers crossed for a less stressful month josie

JosieSmith1 · 12/11/2010 09:06

SingingMog (whispers happy birthday) that?s exactly what I think about animals too, makes perfect sense. We can?t explain to them why they feel a certain way and how what we?re doing is going to help them. Makes you really appreciate what you?ve got and I had some lovely hugs off mine this morning, think she knew I was a bit sad as she?s not much of a hugger Grin Your DH sounds exactly like mine, even down to asking what you think about his ?performance? Grin

Nervous my weekend?s activities will be extreme sporting too Grin. She?s bad enough to put out in the wind never mind ride Hmm, got some grovelling to do with proposed yard move this weekend, including offering DH?s services to build a new stable, or add a wooden door to an outdoor one so she can live in that. Other yard owner is back off hols this weekend, so I MUST NOT text her today (I have no resolve)!!

BB I am a member of FF too (and have to admit finding it very helpful and comforting). I?m on CD28, due any minute now and fully expecting ERTD but not too bothered as I?ve been very stressed this month and it wouldn?t have been the best time. Have been mightily distracted this time round, happily waiting to get things sorted then can go nuts concentrate again Grin

cremegg · 12/11/2010 07:47

hey all just csught up on thread, happy bday mogg!
hello truffers pmsl at idea that we are honest jsers hehe :o
have decided digis are all well and good til battery dies! least u can triple double check the cheapies!
told my mum, i know way way too early, but would tell her if bean didnt stick so thought i may as well, was ok, she seemed plsed at first then asked if we would move home to UK, to which i said err not at the mo (been here a yr) awkward, but knew it would be, waiting to tell anyone else tho!
my DH is obsessed with iphone and ipad, he is addicted to a plane landing game, i do not get it and v glad we dont have PS3/XBOX as he got COD on the wii and was as full on as other DHs sound, boys eh?!
must dash to college disco, i v much hope its not thumping Hmm

BrassicaBabe · 11/11/2010 22:54

In your absence truffers you may have also missed that we've become all fluffy and touchy-feely Grin So here, have a welcome back kiss

Truffkin · 11/11/2010 22:26

Oh Mog I think my husband must be leading a double life! Grin He tells me the new CoD is rubbish, lag city and really poor but is STILL playing it (and moaning at the same time). He's even more annoyed that it seems to be ok on the X Box and he has it PS3. I can see a trade coming at the weekend!

Nell thanks for bunting, feel very welcomed back! I'm a little Envy of your impending Hollywood smile. I have relatively good teeth after having braces when I was younger but would love a couple of tweaks to get that perfectly straight look.

Nice to be back ladies!

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 22:09

Final multi-post from me, I promise! Forgot to say Happy Birthday for tomorrow to mog

Grin
NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 22:04

Obviously I will be getting just the one diagnosis. Was bad typing, not bad spelling, honest guv.

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 22:02

truffkin welcome back

BB I am in denial Hmm. I have to pay for the initial assessment where they take loads of photos, x-rays and impressions then send it off for diagnostics. They then work out the whole process required, and the cost is based on that. I don't have to commit until I get the Diagnoses and price back. So depends on complications. Dentist says mine would be classed as "severe crowding" and I might need teeth out first Shock. I think up to about £3/4k for my case maybe? It's more expensive than train tracks obv, and a bit slower too, but at my age and vanity I want to go down this route.

In all honesty there are only a couple of teeth that really annoy me, it's not a bag-lady look by any means. But I've always hated it and now earn fairly decent money and have decided to go for it.

Sorry, slighty off topic there!

mog have told OH he can't buy COD as it might be a Christmas present. AIBU to tell him that, but then not actually buy him it? Hmm.

Windriding - can't decide if that sounds like something from a fantasy land, Avatar style, or a porno Grin

BrassicaBabe · 11/11/2010 21:50

Evening Lovelies. I've shifted from ninja-posting in conferences to hiding MN from DH while posting in the evening Grin Of course hiding MN from DH is easier as he's snoring at the other end of the sofa Hmm

Glad you are feeling less murderous nervous Hope that's not because you gave in to the complusion! Grin Can I ask how much the orthodontics might cost? Blush

What are they scanning for vallinna? Is it time to pray for many many ripe follicles?

Right you lot, no-one is allowed to leave because they feel they are not following JSing ethics Grin. I for one have been using OPKs since month one (Ok, so I'm a control freak!), a fully paid up member of the red-feckers evil cousin FF, under the "care" Hmm of a fertility consultant, taking Clomid and forcing DH to shag on set days each month! I admitted to these digressions on about thread #2. I don't think between us there are any rules left unbroken. But we at least try to JS and remain sane.

So, who's next in the CD chart?

Truffkin · 11/11/2010 21:31

You lovely viroids have convinced me to venture back to the JSing thread, although I'll be up front from the star about breaking pretty much every rule except coveting my husband of course Wink

I OVed yesterday ( I know from rule breaking charting) so am about to start two weeks of mentalness! Am away for a family party in Ireland the weekend after next so am already thinking about waiting to test until after that if ERTD hasn't arrived so I can drink Guinness.

Am impressed with all the BFPs on here and hoping I can share in some of the joy. Looking forward to catching up with old faces and noobs alike.

P.S I've also been on the BESH thread for a while and am sure it will calm down soon. These things happen on long standing forums and I'm sure things will chill in a short time.

SingingMog · 11/11/2010 21:13

I'm having a birthday party, for myself! WHOOP! The big day is tomorrow. Will be.... (ssshhh) 31.....

No JSing as DH on Call of Duty. This is a turn off obviously. Espesh when he asks me to compliment him on his kill rate Hmm

"windriding" (as I shall call it) sounds fun Nervous. Glad your mouth is back to normal.

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 20:41

baby2b that's good to hear! My teeth could do with some help, but not sure I fancy the Grin TTL suggested Hmm.

Please stay though, I don't think it really matters if you are truly JS-ing (let's face it, few of us are!), it's more about the support and laughs I think :)

Still another 5 days till the red-fecker is due but have slight lower abdominal twinges, so am drinking wine in anticipation. More successfully than the tea luckily, as frozen mouth worn off now.

What's everyone got planned for the weekend? I don't think we have anything, must remedy that. Hopefully some JSing at the very least. Oh and some dangerous sports activities - also known as riding my silly horse in the wind Hmm.

SingingMog · 11/11/2010 20:30

Giant gold start for you b2b, I'm v impressed (remember me wanting to poas on CD1 - but I didn't)! I like the idea of the bfps staying too.

Takeaway was yummy. Now going to see if DH is up for JSing Wink

baby2b · 11/11/2010 20:20

Ooh nervous, just seen your link. My friend had those and her teeth are amazing!

baby2b · 11/11/2010 20:18

Can't keep up with our thread, but just managed to have a scan of those other two threads. I hope the besh work it out. Sometimes it just feels right to move on. To be honest I have only been trying for 8 or 9 months, but don't really feel like a proper jser anymore. Especially as I am constantly weeing on something. However, I like the idea of trying to remain a jser and I'm especially loving the bfps staying. It makes me jealous, but I'm excited to hear about the next stage Smile

Nomore the live pg thread is tres exciting! Grin Have added it to my watch list.

Anyhoo, nothing to report here. Just waiting for Af to arrive after I got a bfn this morning. Do I get a gold star for waiting until my af was due? Have already rewarded myself with a huge glass of wine Smile

SingingMog · 11/11/2010 19:22

Poor Nervous, hope you manage to drink at least one cup of tea without it spilling on you!

Everything is very exciting on here at the moment, jealous of all the JSing going on (DH not been feeling well, so not a whiff of it here). Very impressed at all the stickiness so far too Smile

TTL indeed you are upduffed!

I'm going to go and have a look at that thread, BB you have made me nosy... or rather, curious.

Writing these posts makes me realise how many of these "!!!!!!!!!" I use. I keep going to put them at the end of every other one of my sentences! (There I go again). Must start using a more varied selection of punctuation Wink or just lots more of these Smile I miss the halloween ones Sad

So sad to hear about your friends horse Josie. I was talking about how we feel sadder for animals than humans with DH the other day. He said maybe it is because we can't talk to them, if that makes any sense?

I'm going to go and have a read of that other thread now whilst waiting for the takeaway to come. Totally frazzled, no food in & couldn't face supermarket. Blah!
Doorbell just went then just before I posted, nom nom nom.

takethatlady · 11/11/2010 17:42

Ooh how exciting nervous. You will be eminently shaggable with a new film star smile, like this one: Grin

Ah, now I understand the BESH thing. Sad it went down a bit of an angry line.

They need to come on this thread for a bit and go nuts chill out :)

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 16:44

TTL I've only gleaned information from others asking the same question. But far as I can tell, it does indeed stand for Barren Evil Selfish Hags, and is a pop at some Daily Mail article which, I assume, made reference to people leaving TTC until my age sometime in their 30s.

Frankly every time I've popped in I've found it funny but quite exclusatory (made up word) and despite being in my late 30s have not felt clever qualified enough to join.

Been at dentist again today. Final filling, yeah, but once again have inoperative muscles. Cups of tea are going everywhere. Going back in a fortnight to see about getting these

takethatlady · 11/11/2010 16:25

nomore you do make me laugh.

I am upduffed I am upduffed I am upduffed

I have never seen the BESH thread before but it's awful that it has gone so mental. I don't know owl but I feel awful for her. What was their problem? I couldn't work it out? And what does BESH actually stand for? (I'm assuming it isn't Barren Evil S[omething] Hags really, or if it is it was meant in a different spirit than some of those ladies meant it?)

OP posts:
NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 15:55

Me too Josie. Really must focus on work Hmm

JosieSmith1 · 11/11/2010 15:39

NoMore I've just spent ages reading that, it's really exciting! Thought there'd be babies at the end, didn't realise it was so recent, thought I'd missed it all

vallinnapod · 11/11/2010 13:38

NMCB - it makes me Shock - in a good way. Yay, onlywantsone but where the bloody hell have those weeks gone?! Sheesh kebab, I am wishing my life away!

Still, doesn't stop me...am solely focused on my next scan on Tues! Bad me Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 11/11/2010 12:35

OMG I've been following this thread in chat for the last couple of days. And as my eye passed over the start of this thread just now, I've just realised that she's one of the original viroids. Back from before viroids were viroids!

Oh sorry hope it's not to depressing for those of you who've been here from the start.

NervousNelly · 11/11/2010 12:17

This one Josie

Nomore had forgotten about the stealth shag Grin.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 11/11/2010 12:06

TTL you're upduff girlie. Get used to it and be very thankful for those days you feel fine. I've been getting worse over the last week or so. Am busy shoveling food in my face as I type because by about 2pm I'll be back in bed unable to look a piece of toast in the eye.
