The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Hey Miffles sorry about your BFN but maybe it's still too early? If not then I hope ERTD arrives soon so you can get on the clomid wagon Smile and don't worry about not being searched for, I buggered off for ages and have stomped back in quite brazenly!

Vallinna I'm with the other viroids that you may only need one go so that safety net would be uneccessary anyway. Everything crossed for you.

Brassica so pleased your line is getting darker, it must feel very reassuring.

Am loving the drinking advice TakeThat you are clearly good at this sort of thing! If this month works for us I'll be trying to get through Christmas undetected so those tips would come in handy.

In my news I'm now 3 DPO and so waiting to find out my fate again. ERTD due around the weekend od 27th so and am away that weekend so am hoping that distracts me. If no signs by Monday 29th I shall be POASing with a vengeance!

Right, I'm off to arrange some lovely snacks in time for Villa vs. Man U (come on you villans!) Happy weekend viroids Grin

Sorry for the BFN miffles, and for not looking for you when you were lost. You are a great viroid though so don't go!

Quick handbook of drinking subterfuge (which does not include the antibiotics lie, as I'm pretty sure most people will spot this a mile off):

  1. Buy a soft drink and pretend it has alcohol in it. You can add authenticity to this one by pre-arranging with a partner-in-crime that when he/she goes to get a round in you loudly ask for vodka and coke but he/she buys you just coke Grin. Sometimes you will need to make sure the barman gives it to you in a believable glass and not a big 'Coke' glass, which somewhat gives the game away.
  1. Suggest a round of shots when you're standing near a pot plant so you can sneakily spit yours out afterwards. It is imperative that you make the suggestion to do the shots so that you look like you're already drunk and up for a good time.
  1. Take your drinks with you to the toilet and pour them away. This works best in a skanky club as you might look a bit like an alcoholic taking your drinks into the toilet in a gastropub.
  1. Use said partner as drinks decoy - he/she may have opportunities to swig/hide your drinks as necessary. Be prepared for him/her to be called a 'bitch' or a 'bastard' for hogging all the drinks if someone catches you.
  1. Have an alcoholic drink in your hand at all times, and either backwash it or keep your mouth closed. If it's a friend's drink, definitely just keep your mouth closed.
  1. 'Spill' your drink and pretend to be really upset you've lost it. Perhaps even pick a fight with a random who has 'bumped' into you (this one only for the brave).
  1. Spend several hours in front of the mirror perfecting your best drunken dance moves. If you're doing the hokey-cokey no-one's going to think you're sober. This is easier if you have uncontrollable hips like me Grin
  1. Make sure that every time someone takes a photo you're loudly cheering and clinking your glass with someone else's.
  1. Yell things like 'woohoo' and 'yeeha' as much as possible.
  1. tell the truth???...

I did. It was BFN. Hey ho.

BrassicaBabe · 13/11/2010 00:45

Only a quick iPhone post, so I'm going to be brief...

(((hugs))) miffles If you fancy a sulk you go right ahead. But welcome back!

Oh and POA-fecking-S will you! Grin

Miffles · 12/11/2010 23:32

Thanks you lot. You have made me feel warm and fuzzy inside! Smile I don't know what was going on in my head, so thank you for humouring me.

My DH is fully aware of what is going on - wear my heart on my sleeve in all departments! So I'd say to def talk to him Nelly - and the idea of a good boffing would surely keep him happy!

Glad you've got some ov action mog - sounds like you're making use of it too Wink

Dyna - TTL is the queen of subterfuge when it comes to sneaky not drinking. Could get DH to get a round in and have coke and lie about the malibu. Nurse one glass if need be, or try swopping your full glass with DH's full one.

Eskarina - glad ERTD has arrived and it does no harm to speak to the GP.

I'm not planning on testing just yet. Actually want to quietly imagine for a bit longer...see how the symptoms go. Fully expect ERTD to show up v soon. Give me another day anyway to imagine I could be....

Eskarina · 12/11/2010 22:31

Hi Viroids.

Glad you enjoyed Paris Dyna We had a fab time there last month. Very Envy of your BFP though - perhaps I should get DH to arrange for us to go back again to see if I can get one too Grin

Big hugs to Miffles Stay here and feel the love! POAS/IAR if it makes you feel better - you never know!!

So, I'm going to the Dr tomorrow morning. I feel a bit of a fraud because no sooner had I made the appointment then the ERTD showed up. Admittedly I've had a few dodgy cycles recently, and going 6 weeks is no good for my mental health, never mind what it means for my fertility. But I still feel a bit silly for going along to say that my period came late. I'm fully expecting to be told to keep a note of it all and come back in 6 months if I'm not pg by then, so all a bit futile, but at least it gets a concern registered on my notes. I hope it's worth getting myself up, dressed and into town by 8.30 am for!
Anyone got any advice about what info I should be taking with me??

Dynababy · 12/11/2010 22:08

Evening viroids! Back from Paris and glad to be home!

Miffles I had noticed you were quiet but assumed busy and just not on as much have some big Glad your back in the fold!! I defo think anything is possible so maybe PIAR?? How good would that be if the clomid could get binned!

Nervous I'm sure you can bring DH round to your way of thinking, I like mogs idea of telling him you need a good boffing!! Mog happy birthday and happy humping! Yay for pant snot!

Baby2b sorry for ERTD but quite jealous of your drunken weekend ahead!

BB good news on your darker BFP! I'm with you on the non alcohol being hard; hard already after watching DH enjoying wine the last few nights and me on the sparkling water ..yummy.. seriously there is only so much water a woman can take! Now I have a new alcohol issue though: Its DH b'day tomorrow and we're out for dinner with friends and as I am usually a lushdrinking wine (and our friends are not shy and retiing types) my not drinking will definatley not pass without comment.. So I need some seriously good excuses or nija style techniques in pretending to drink when I'm not. Any ideas?? I seem to remember TTL pulling off some impressive moves in that dept!

xx to anyone missed!

SingingMog · 12/11/2010 21:05

Everyone loves a good boffing!!!

TMI (I know you all like TMI tho) but I think I might have the beginnings of "EWCM"/pant snot!!!!!!! Looks like it's boffings all round Grin

NervousNelly · 12/11/2010 20:42

at "a good boffing" Grin.

SingingMog · 12/11/2010 20:32

Nervous why don't you tell him that there are only a couple of days per month where you can become upduffed and therefore he should save some of his spunk for then to make sure he can give you a really good boffing? Wink Am sure he will like the idea of a good boffing, after all, he is a man! Grin

SingingMog · 12/11/2010 20:27

Ooooo Miffles, I did wonder where you were, but am now very optimistic for you. Hope it is that you had a well-timed bonk.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes and many hugs to all you lovely viroids. Had quite a good day, my form sang happy birthday to me and one of my sixth-formers brought me a massive chocolate cake Grin! Just went to pub for dinner and have had two pints of beer, so am a bit pisshed Blush I'm a lightweight these days!

I break rules and not even "officially" trying! E.g. am on FF and take temps - but tell myself it is so I know when not to do it until Feb. This is a joke really cos according to FF I am probably fertile from today (makes me sound like cattle) and JSed this morning (and last night) and will prob again later. DH knows that FF said I am prob fertile, so he can't get in a huff if I get upduffed Wink No pant snot yet tho.

Josie, I used to enjoy watching the games, but after a year of watching the same thing I am less enamoured. Think I will get him the new one for his bday (on 26th) and then at least might watch him play it a bit! Also, I swear my cat knows when I'm upset. He stops trying to bite me and comes and sits on my knee.

Vallinna you have a lovely DH Smile

NoMore decided with one of the tech teachers today that I could say I was 27 and no-one would notice. Might be 28 for a few years now!

Am procrastinating now cos people are coming round tomorrow for bday celebrations and house is tip so need to tidy. On birthday. Rubbish!

Also am a bit symptom spotting crazy here but when cat jumped on my in night I'm sure it was hurting my womb area. Although this prob means nothing as doubt any ovving has happened yet! I'm delusional!

Drunken hugs and kisses to all Grin

NervousNelly · 12/11/2010 20:11

Haha miffles, hope Darkstar isn't being too kinky Wink. I'm sorry we were rubbish viroids. Promise to do better :( Fingers crossed that the clomid can go to rot in the drawer :)

I'm easily confused Confused. A few people came in and said hello but haven't really posted again. Not you miffles you are a true regular, but I hope we didn't scare those other noobs off Hmm.

Am fairly certain red-fecker is going to get me by the end of the weekend. The foul language I've been spouting in the last day or so would perhaps indicate PMT Hmm. On the wine in true JS style, so it's not all bad Grin. I need to have a small chat with OH (now I've forgiven him for unspecified misdemeanours) about turning down sex when it's quite important he doesn't. He's done this the last two months, but doesn't realise it's reducing our chances of being up-duffed. We have a good sexlife, not at all focussed on TTC; so I need to educate him a tiny bit, whilst keeping the science out of it. Happy to take any suggestions??

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 12/11/2010 18:58

Wink That should take your mind off things!

Seriously, without wanting to get your hopes up any further than they are, anything's possible. So it's possible that you are in fact up the duff and it just hasn't shown up yet. It's also possible that your body is just dicking you around for no good reason - stress and worry has made my period late on a number of occasions, and it sounds like you've (understandably) been feeling a bit of both.

I am keeping everything but my legs crossed that in fact it is the former :)

((hugs))

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 12/11/2010 17:36

Hugs to you Miffles sorry I haven't noticed you've been away . Anything is possible, when are you going to test again?

Miffles · 12/11/2010 17:21

I have a confession. I have been sulking. Blush Did anyone get irrationally upset as a child, sneak away to sulk, then when no one noticed that you were missing, you have to come back in the room and no one actually realised you were gone? That was me the last few days. Don't actually know why. Sorry lovely viroids. I promise I won't do it again.

Please keep loving me!!!

I need a hug from my viroid friends.

Must say the biggest Congrats to BB and Dyna and think I already congratulated cremegg before. Wonderful news that we have so many BFPs.

And happy birthday Mog

And well done for sticking with it Vallinna - your DH sounds like a gem.

I am now wondering if I could really actually be pg. Can I explain my thinking? Am I back in the fold?!

  • Last AF on 21st Oct. 22 days ago.
  • Have been rubbish at JSing. Both busy and kinda not seen the point until I'm able to take clomid. Obviously totally un-JSers ethos, but sorry. Marriage can be like that sometimes.

Anyway.

  • AF 21st Oct.
  • JSed on 31st Oct (CD10)
  • then started spotting in Nov 1st and 2nd.
  • thought it was AF, but literally only on wiping and only 2 days
  • wonder if that was ovulation bleeding
  • in which case my pathetic shag may have been v well timed!
  • am now CD22 which could be 12DPO.
  • you'll remember I don't think I have actually ovulated before, so no proper comparison
  • PIAJP on Tue this week (before flu jab) and BFN
  • today, my nipples are sore. Boobs ok, but squeezing nipples hurts.
  • nipples may be slightly browner, but can't remember what they normally look like

So - what do people think? Am I barking? Has a miracle occured?! Remember I have clomid in my draw and DH has rubbish swimmers!!!

Thanks all. Have missed you. xxx

milanomum · 12/11/2010 13:25

Happy Birthday Mog!
darkstar that sounds just like it! jump man now!
vallinna :( at no free safety net but fingers crossed for everything else. That's some man you've got there. It must be easier that he's suggested it and it can only be a good thing. Sounds like you guys are rock solid :)

Josie glad things are more positive with you!

I used to love computer games and got obsessed with Tomb Raider and those ones where you make a city or theme park. DH isn't really interested and since DD came along, there's never the peace and quiet to play!

BB good news on stronger positive - it's still early for a mega-bright line so don't fret. Get yourself some lovely alc-free beer

BrassicaBabe · 12/11/2010 12:05

Sorry for CD1 josie but yeah for getting drunk on the back of it! Grin

BrassicaBabe · 12/11/2010 12:04

Ahh vallinna that's so nice of DH. It takes a strong man to suggest a counsellor. So lovely of him to suggest it. Let's hope the ovaries are still nicely in a state of slumber. Fingers crossed that you don't need the free cycle anyway! Grin

Dragging out thread bunting for darkstar's ovaries!

BFP is slightly stronger this morning at 13DPO. I know I shouldn't be but I am VERY bad tempered about the lack of alcohol. Hmm

I find computer games make me Envy. That's sick not jealous! It's like motion sickness! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 12/11/2010 12:02

Well, friend left feeling a lot better (thanks to my hugs and tears of course Grin) and her daughter sounds like she's getting better too so that's good, I an stop going on about it now

Vallinna what a lovely thing for your DH to do.

NoMore I want sims 3 too. I have sims2 and I luuuurve it to bits (only ever make a me and DH, then they have babies, then after me and DH die I get bored and start us again Grin) Haven;t tried sims 3 but bet I'd love it

vallinnapod · 12/11/2010 11:35

God lord, DH has just called and suggest we see the free counsellor his work has....thought he was a step away from commiting me. Actually the sweetest suggestion as he said (for the first time) how hard he was finding it in general and seeing me upset about it all. Bless him, I'm a lucky lady.

Sorry - reread and this seems very braggy, it's not meant to. Just bigging up the DH as I wouldn't think twice about pouncing on a misdemeanour Wink

vallinnapod · 12/11/2010 11:03

Err, if we should leave for rule breaking I am in trouble Grin I think this tread is def more about spirit rather than actually JSing!

Didn't get accepted on to The Bridge's IVF Plus Sad They said it was due to PCOS. Totally understand they have criteria but slightly f-ed off as it (a) took 5 weeks for them to tell me this and (b) the consultant had said I was an ideal candidate as the whole purpose of the programme was to boost the clinics success rates. Confused

Still going ahead, just a bit Shock now there is no 'safety net' of a free second cycle.

Onwards and upwards I guess Smile

Brassica the next scan is to check my ovaries are still doing nothing Hmm Biscuit Then I start injecting to stimulate the follicles. Bored now Sad

Happy Birthday Mog!!

Cremegg - the plane landing game is the most horribly addicitve thing ever, in a 'good' way! I can't put it down. Have been very smug here that DH is not a computer fan and therefore am observing this COD frenzy with a bemused expression. He is however the sort of person whos Blackberry is never far from his hand so win some/lose some!

baby2b · 12/11/2010 10:40

Happy birthday Mog, hope it's a good one! :)

CD1 here so will be very drunk most of this weekend. Note: I am breaking most rules, but not the relax and have a glass of wine one Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 12/11/2010 10:39

Ohh DarkStar that sounds very ovulation sounding. Go forth and jump thy husband Grin

Happy birthday Mog I too recently turned 31 27 and honestly it's not all that bad.

Listening to you lot I'm very happy that my husband isn't the computer game type. Although I do occasionally miss a good bout of hack and slash on the ol'key board Blush. Mostly though I want to get the sims3 for the lap top but feel that DH would just complain. A lot!

Thinking I need to get me some hash browns or similar. Still have a massive hankering for bacon and egg pie too. Hmm

Supposed I ought to get out of bed before DH come and whinges at me again.

JosieSmith1 · 12/11/2010 09:56

Thanks DarkStar. I can enjoy watching some games with DH, has to be a certain type though, I'm not a fan of army games. I like his zombie one as it's funny watching him terrify himself Grin

My friend who lost the horse just walked through the door, and now we're both in tears Sad She's just so upset for her daughter, apparently she was hysterical and thought they had come home to tell her that her dad was ill, she had no idea anything was wrong with the horse. sorry to keep going on about it, it's just so sad, not much can make me cry in public Grin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 12/11/2010 09:42

Happy birthday Mog! I did laugh at 'compliment him on his kill rate'. My DH also likes computer games but then I am the type of weirdo who enjoys watching other people play them, so many has been the night that we've settled down together for a long stint of Bioshock or Fallout 3 Hmm I am stupidly excited about Portal 2 even though I won't play it myself (too cack-handed and impatient to get the hang of the controls).

Good luck with your yard move Josie, I hope you get it sorted.

Nelly I look forward to being blinded by your smile Grin My own teeth are fairly shameful, am really hoping DS doesn't inherit their crooked, crumbly nature.

Having said I don't get ovulation pain, I think I might be experiencing my first ever bout of mittelschmerz Shock A sort of sharp throbbing pain on the right hand side near my hip. Does this sound about right? Or maybe it's just digestive issues Hmm Either way, must remember to jump DH's bones later tonight.
