The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Ah, yes miffles I remember. Hang in there missus!

Miffles · 16/11/2010 11:33

BB - have a look back a few pages (unless you can't on your iPhone). At work, so being discete (or trying).

Anyway, yes, waiting for AF to start clomid. CD25 or 26 now. MAY have ov'd on CD 12 and JSed on CD11. So quietly hoping I'm pg and no need for clomid!

I'm so impatient!!!

JosieSmith1 · 16/11/2010 11:14

Thanks Brassica, my bessie mate thinks it?ll happen for me soon as she saw 4 magpies the other day and she saw them just before her sister found out she was pg with her son. I told her if any of her other friends announce they are pg she?s not to tell me Grin

Thanks Miffles but I?m not quite on the new yard yet but fingers crossed, the new owner is lovely and is trying to fit me in, hoping to hear today, will definitely make a happier Josie and happier horsey if I get on Grin

Vallinna sorry to hear about DH?s aunt, hope everyone is doing ok. Good news about IVF but Confused about injections, you?re braver than me, I nearly faint at injections (not looking good for TTC! Grin).

Went to visit my Nana on Sunday, she went into hospital for a masectomy as she?s just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Bless her she looked so frail and although she put on a brave face she was really nervous, especially when we left. The surgery was yesterday (4 hours long) but it went really well and the cancer hasn?t spread and she?s recovering well (keeping them all amused apparently). It must be so hard at her age (89) and without Granda there to support her Sad but now the worst is over and all she has to do now is recover

BrassicaBabe · 16/11/2010 11:08

miffles are you still waiting for red-fecker so that you can take the clomid? What CD are you on now?

Miffles · 16/11/2010 11:04

I'm so sorry to hear that news Vallinna - what a difficult time to go through. Excellent that there is positive IVF news, though. Sounds like you'll be busy! Are you going to do injections or DH?

Keep expecting to see spotting, but none. Half hopeful, but not really....think I must be deluded to think I could actually be pg. But one the other hand, it's got to happen one month! will keep you posted. Wink

BrassicaBabe · 16/11/2010 10:42

I'm with you darkstar and you can't prise those pee-sticks out of my hand for anything! Grin

BrassicaBabe · 16/11/2010 10:38

Sorry about DH's aunt vallinna. The whole family must be in shock Sad

Yeah for the thin lining though. Are you on a 2 week countdown to ripe follicles now?

I agree with the whole FB rant too Grin I have vowed not to post scan pictures. (Am I the only one that finds them a little gross? Hmm) I might allow myself a "Brassica is up the duff" post if I manage to get to 12 weeks though Grin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 16/11/2010 10:32

Sorry to hear that vallinna :( Life is a random game.

Sending lots of positive IVF vibes for you.

Miffles when pregnant with DS I had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever - no sign of being pg apart from my period being late, and then no morning sickness or anything else for the first trimester. There was much weeing on sticks during those first few weeks because I kept thinking 'everyone else feels x, y and z, surely I can't be pregnant without feeling anything?'

vallinnapod · 16/11/2010 10:27

Thanks for all you lovely messages. DH's aunt dies last night, if it can get worse they now just think it was 'just' a tradgic fall. So scary to have someone there one minute and not the next. Sad

Still, positive IVF news. Very thin lining at scan today so I am armed with injections to start tonight. I now have blood tests Friday and Saturday, followed by bloods and scans Mon, Weds and Fri at least! So excited to be moving forward but sooooooo not looking forward to the first injection! I thought they were like epipens but you have to stick the needle in first before 'clicking' the top. ARGH!!

On 'grrr' news...Facebook yesterday 'x and x are having a baby' Angry Today, profile pick is the scan photo Angry Angry Unreasonable I know! I have a bit of a thing about 'kid-jacking' on FB anyway - and vow not to do it myself (I wonder how long that will last...!) I wonder if I should update 'Vallinnapod doesn't ovulate so would appreciate it if you kept your ovary produce to yourself'

Miffles · 16/11/2010 09:42

oh - and yay for Josies's new yard! What a relief. Must say, I didn't follow all the issues, but hope this makes for a happier horse and so a happier Josie. How has it been going at work without the other girl?

BrassicaBabe · 16/11/2010 09:42

Cross posted josie. Sorry for the arrival of red-fecker. Well done for keeping sane though Grin Relatively Hmm

Miffles · 16/11/2010 09:41

Grin BB. Thanks.

BrassicaBabe · 16/11/2010 09:39

Miffles still no symptoms for me and I'm 17DPO.

JosieSmith1 · 16/11/2010 09:35

Dagnamit I missed the rugby!

Nervous well done on extreme riding! I did some myself at weekend. Don't you just love getting absolutely soaked and being freezing, then getting home and being all snug and warm Smile. I may have sweet talked my way into a new yard [fingers crossed emoticon]

Well ERTD arrived for me last sat but was totally expecting it so actually really not bothered this time around but will get down to it Wink for next time Grin

Miffles · 16/11/2010 09:27

I was reading that implanatation can take up to 10 days! And even then you don't always get symptoms. There have been lots of women who were sure AF was round the corner.

That's what I'm hanging onto. 15DPO (IF I ovulated, which I'm far from convinced. That would be a miracle in itself). CD26. Too scared to test til CD28 though.

Milano - glad all is ok with gyno. Well done for keeping positive.

Vallinna - hope your ovaries are fully dormant Grin

Dyna - you did better than I would have managed! Think I'll just go for the antibiotic option!!!

BrassicaBabe · 16/11/2010 09:15

milano Glad the doc was able to put your mind at rest. We've had a good run with HCPs on this thread recently! Grin

So sorry about DH's aunt vallinna. Hope the family are holding up. Fingers crossed for scan today too!

Oh dear dyna. No RADA for you then! Grin I'm going to work my way along the "alcohol free line" at the supermarket to see if I can find something not disgusting decent.

truffers If my chart is to be believed then I didn't get implantation until 9DPO if that helps.

milanomum · 16/11/2010 07:20

Morning Ladies!
Am taking advantage of smallpinkfluffyone's sleeping in to get on here!
LOL at dynababy's strategies for not drinking!

TRuffles it's still so early, there's really, sensibly honestly not going to be anything until at least 8 days dpo. Doesn't it take about a week just for implantation? Save up your madness for day 8 I say, then go completely bonkers!

I went to the gyno yesterday to get checked out after confusion with mc. I don't know if I told you, but on the day of the mc I got my LHG(? that hormone thingy) levels tested and they were still very high so I was v confused. Anyway, had dildocam showed everything is ok - no fibroids or anything odd - but for a minute before the scan the gyno was telling me that I could still have been pregnant! You should have seen my face - I think I would have fainted if she'd found anything in there! Anyway, at least things are ok and we just need to keep at the JS-ing at convenient times Wink

vallinna hope everything went ok yesterday and more ((hugs)) for you and your DH.

Wishing you all a 'fruitful' day if you are shagging and a nice relaxing, calm day if you are updiffed or on the 2ww!

Dynababy · 15/11/2010 22:43

Evening all, now i'm back from hols weekdays mean only evening posting for me unfortunately!

Baby2b you asked about symptoms... thought I'd share as I was and am facinated with this!! I had twingy feelings in tummy (still do) weird pains not really like period pains but just weird and a bit achy (I'm putting it down to implantation and the little bean bedding in!), I had mild heartburn from 8DPO onwards which is a bit odd but never happened before so must be related, sore boobs, I clicked there may be something happening when cuddled DH from behind and was v sore!!! Erm bit headachy and sore lower back, also (TMI alert!) quite a bit of watery discharge (feeling a bit wet down there!). So actually quite a few more symptoms quite early than I thought possible! I'm still only 18DPO! I just hope and pray for a sticky bean. Same for BB Cremegg and the ladies further on TTL and NMCB!

NMCB poor you! Must have been sore and scary! Glad everything OK in the end and hope your lip gets better soon.

Vallinna fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow. So sorry re DP aunt that's awful have a .

Nervous I've also had that occasionally, a random 21 day cycle, I did think it might be if didn't ov myself but never got checked out as periods always then regulated. If it is that I think its fairly normal not to every month, bit of a pain but nothing to worry about.

BB hopefully they didn't notice and if they did probably would just be excited and happy for you. It is annoying though I know.

I feel like I've been well and truly spotted from my failure to pretend to drink... it went like this...me plans with DH that I would sit next to him and we'd swap beer bottles back and forward and i'd pretend to swig.. first issue when i ended up opposite end of table as one of his mates dived in next to him. Queue none too sutle DH coming up halfway through meal having a conv and leaving with my beer, I think my mate next to me noticed... then drank loads of water - in pub after was hoping that by my getting the round in I could order a tonic and pretend there was gin in it but one of the guys insisted on staying with me to carry drinks and therefore witnessed tonic ordering... he didn't say anything but then in next pub another mates round .. I had to just order lemonade as thirsty by this point and DH on pints of Guiness .. queue lots of comments about my not drink 'anymore' .. so think I've been well and truly spotted despite TTL's best tips! I was just poor in my execution Blush Oh well least no one will be shocked when I eventually tell them! Grin

Phew long post.. finaly welcome to LittleMiss and fingers crossed for the 2ww's. If its encoraging Truff I dind't have any symptoms at all 5DPO so thought I was out .. fingers crossed!!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 15/11/2010 20:29

Oh vallinna :( My very best thoughts and wishes are with you all.

Truffkin you can be my 2ww buddy...wait, where are you going? Grin My next period is due the same weekend as my best friend's leaving drinks (she is moving abroad). So that will be interesting!

Miffles · 15/11/2010 18:41

Vallinna - that is truely awful. We will be thinking of you and DH and the family.

Truffkin · 15/11/2010 16:45

Oh Vallinna so sorry about your sad news, really hope things work out or at least if they can't do anything for your DH's Aunt that her son is feeling looked after by the family. Hope tomorrow brings better news.

NoMore scary stuff, glad that your DH looked after you so well and that it was nothing to worry about.

Miffles how lovely that you met your new niece, she's clearly got good taste!

So I'm in the 2WW I suppose (5 DPO) but am feeling utterly 'normal' so not getting my hopes up. If there is any implantation action coming my way then it will be around Wednesday time so I should be inventing noticing symptoms over the weekend I should think Wink In a fabulous twist of fate I am out on a bit of an all day catch up with a group of friends on Saturday so should be able to take my mind off it until Monday rolls back round again (if I last that long!)

In other news, my sciatica is playing up again today - ouch!

milanomum · 15/11/2010 16:18

Oh vallinna that's awful - so sorry for your DH and for his young cousin. Really sad.
Hope scan tomorrow brings more positive news.

Nomore nothing like a headbutt to remind you how much you love 'em! DD did that to me once when we were playing on the bed and it made me cry as it was such an excruciating pain!

BB It must be so hard to listen to your sis without saying anything! But it'll be lovely to go through it all together in the end.

Hello to the noobies! xx

vallinnapod · 15/11/2010 14:32

Children are dangerous little assassins NMCB...why are we all trying to create more Wink Bless over protective DH, and very glad it wasn't anything more serious.

BB yep, scan tomorrow. Having very bad tension-style headaches and a really painful acupuncture session on Saturday. apparently it's due to the toxins building up in my liver (from the drugs). Whilst this is not nice, it is the first time I have had side effects from drugs (none whatsoever with the Clomid or Letrozole) so am only hoping it means they are doing their stuff.

Horrible, horrible news this morning. DH's aunt suffered an aneurysm and fell down the stairs (they're not sure in which order if that makes sense). She's been unconscious since then. All the pressure is on her brain stem leaving them to predict a very negative outcome. They'll do all the brain death tests this afternoon. Her son (15) saw it all. So incredibly sad and shocking.

Miffles · 15/11/2010 10:06

BB - I would be very Angry about phone stealage. It is good that IF they noticed anything (which is def not for sure) they're realising you don't want to say anything so respecting that.

And even if they saw MN and FF in history, it just means you're looking. Certainly not that you're up duffed. Would love to see your sis's face when you tell her - and she's been harping on for longer!

England rugby was A M A Z I N G !!!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 15/11/2010 09:49

Well I had fun last night. While =drying DS after his bath he managed to headbutt me very hard in the mouth. Then clear, yellowish liquid came out my nose and I went all dizzy, so DH called for an ambulance! I didn't end up going to hospital, but still it was a bit scary for a little while there. Just a bit of shock and a bruised lip.

Nervous Yes I did see the rugby. Tried to make DS watch the haka, but don't think he really cared. Never mind I have time to brain wash him yet Grin

Hello and welcome to you LittleMiss grab a cocktail and join the fun Grin

And 2would shame on you for not sharing your 2WW with us. Have a kipper Grin
