The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

ooh, so I'm OVing round about now then? Shock

the ache isn't my normal OV pain - that feels more like period, and this is a bit lower more grubby than that.

don't you dare go getting my hopes up!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 18/11/2010 13:12

Absolutely PMSL at you Nickle! (welcome back by the way) How am I meant to know if you need a poo?! According to the dates you gave us you're on CD12 (it goes from first day of ERTD). How funny you think we actually stick to the rules here Grin

Caz so sorry for you. You're not alone here on the CP front, so though we can't make it less hard and awful for you, you have our utter support xx

It's lovely hearing you sound positive again Josie. How rude of your DH hurting his back when there is JSing to be had though Grin

Hello to all our lurkers. How's things?

Oh and sorry for the confusion Nervous, next time I'll be sure to include some actual recipes.

nickelpombear · 18/11/2010 13:09

Josie - girls on top, maybe? Wink

JosieSmith1 · 18/11/2010 12:51

Thanks TakeThat, there hasn?t been much shagging recently Blush, had ERTD, been knackered and DH did his back in again so it?s not happening yet but will be soon Wink/ Hope you?re not getting ill

Damn for only partial success BB Grin, hope the hot water works better

vallinnapod · 18/11/2010 12:44

LOLs NMCB at your ante natal thread elephant conga! Can't wait for the day I can legitimately join you over there - not that I can really legitimately be here Grin I just like that I can type what I like here, that there is no (typed!) judgement and the support is really lovely. We are all going through completely different things but sort of all get it...if that makes sense! I hope we all 'hang around' with each other for a long while!

Oh sleepy how disappointing. Big hugs xx

TTL no idea how long I have to inject for. It's not an exact science at any rate but because of the PCOs they are starting with an uber low dose. Had two days of that, bloods today and tomorrow, then M, W & F next week (along with scans then) where they monitor growth and oestrogen levels and adjust the dose accordingly...phew! The problem with PCOs is while they are actually attemping to cause mild OHSS they don't want to cause a severe form. Fine line I am led to believe.

BB my needle work is great Grin helped that I was out with my stepmum last night and got home around midnight, so tired I just plunged it in and threw myself into bed!! The nurses needle work...two attempts to find a vein this morning - ouchy ouchy ooooh! The non-bled one has a huge bruise while the bleeder cannot be detected!

nickelpombear · 18/11/2010 12:30

don't know what CD is (i was told I wasn't allowed to use jargon!! so i didn't learn ayn (except for ERTD) Grin )

cycle day?
I had ERTD (counts on fingers...) 7th to the 12th, and we JSed for the first time after it on Saturday night.
I'm sure OV is normally 12-14 after (period-like pains...), which would make it friday-sunday this week.
also, though, normally if we JS just after I finish AF, there's a bit of re-bleed and there wasn't this time. Hmm

I thought the whole point of this thread was that you were supposed to tell me that i just need a poo or something?????

Shock Grin
BrassicaBabe · 18/11/2010 11:03

Sorry for your news sleepy. Having been in a similar position I know just how gutted you feel right now. You've got good company here. Sorry, that's probably just not good enough though Sad

How are the injections going vallinna? You are a brave lady indeed!

Miffles hun are you lurking or sulking? Grin You are welcome to do either, but I didn't want you to think we'd not missed you. Has AF arrived yet? Hope you are keeping sane Milano you ok too?

We've got a few others MIA too. I hope you are all doing ok. (((hugs))) all round.

oooh nickle what CD are you on? Nice one for keeping JSing alive Grin

In Prune News Today: I can report only partial success. Little movement which is better than nothing. GrinBlush Trying hot water now as someone said that works too. Hmm

takethatlady · 18/11/2010 10:52

nickelpombear love the name change. I read that thread and laughed my arse off all the way through Grin

maybe you're coming down with a baby?!

josie I really hope your nana is fighting fit and that you get the problems at the yard sorted out. You've got so much on your plate! Hope the shagging is taking some of the stress away Wink

nickelpombear · 18/11/2010 10:30

morning, everyone!
sorry I haven't checked in for a while - have been reading, but not really muc hto say.

sorry about your tests Sleepy. :(

I've got nothing to report.
we've been jsing every other day since AF finished. it's so sad (but quite good fun, too! DH is on cloud 9 Grin ) We've been experimenting with different positions (by this I don't mean anything more exciting in terms of how we stand, it's actually just where on the bed we are! Grin and Blush)
Grin

although, I'm symptom-spotting now, because I started feeling sick yesterday afternoon- feels a bit like sea-sickness or when I've eaten tiramisu (coffee makes me sick). and a low level whingeing in my tummy.
it's driving me mad, and i coudln't eat all of my dinner last night.
So i'm hoping i'm not coming down with anything. :(

JosieSmith1 · 18/11/2010 10:24

Oh SleepyCaz, so sorry to hear that.

Thanks Nelly, my bro is off to visit Nana tonight and Mam is going in every day as is my aunt so we?re going tomorrow, armed with biscuits, puzzle books and a get well soon card Smile. Yes I will gladly accompany you on the 2ww Grin. Speak to you when you get back (I?m not brave enough to start a new thread unless someone tells me what to call it Grin)

Nowt goin on here Grin

doctors, not doctor's.

OP posts:
takethatlady · 18/11/2010 08:36

sleepycaz I'm so so sorry and I hope you are feeling okay. I went through this in August, though without all the doctor's, and it was really really upsetting. I hope you and your DP are able to have some time together to do whatever you feel like doing (whether you feel fine, devastated, or anything in between). But I've got my fingers crossed for Friday just in case.

aw nervous thank you. I LOVE this thread! Just conscious not to become some sort of smug preggo lady getting on everybody's nerves! The good thing is all of us who have got knocked up so far have done it at all different times and after all sorts of shenanigans - multiple cps, clomid, quick upduffings, slow upduffings. We're a motley crew of upduffs so hopefully that bodes well - whether it gets tricky or not by hook or by crook we can shag our way to victory!

vallinna how long do you have to inject for now? Yip yip for the lining :)

Right going to try this again, just lost the post I wrote

baby2b · 17/11/2010 21:24

Struggling to catch up on all the posts, so sorry if I don't mention someone.

sleepycaz I'm really sorry

Nervous I feel exactly the same at the moment...even dh was a bit down this month when af arrived.

BB pmsl at prune experiment!

Anyway, mostly lurking as a bit grumpy as dh is away with work for a week and I'm missing him.

SleepyCaz · 17/11/2010 20:16

Hi Viroids.

No good news, I'm afraid.

Scan (internal, yuk :( ) showed no signs of pregnancy. So hosp EPAC did bloods to check HCG levels. This was at 3pm. Asked if not being able to see anything was 'normal', and the nurse said, "Sometimes, if it's very early."
Went home, and did another test. Fainter BFP than yesterday :(
Then the hospital called and told me the results were back and were 29. Had NO idea what that meant, so they clarified by saying that it was VERY low for an HCG level, and to go back in 48 hours, on Friday and be retested. It maybe a CP. :(
Have done another test this eve and it was the faintest line ever, less even than the one from this afternoon, pretty much a BFN.
Am gutted, but still no AF, so going back on Fri anyway, if it doesn't show up, just to confirm.
Am gutted :(

Big thanks for nice messages/posts though Viro's! xx

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/11/2010 17:46

Creme, Dyna and SCaz when you feel a bit more upduffed come have some mocktales

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/11/2010 17:43

Sneaky Caz! Best of luck for you that it's where it belongs. Have bunting ready and waiting.

Miffles, Nervous Sad for you . Please have a giant glass of Sav Blanc and a huge bowl of Pad Thai for me while you can xx

Never fear my brain may be well and truely melted, but I'm sure that'll just add to the flavour of my posting.

TTL why thank you. I Donb't just go for hard rock like Shihad, but they have been a favorite since my teens. Hmm try googling Lior. Think you'd like him (he's GORGEOUS too!) and he's not at all boy bandish Grin

NervousNelly · 17/11/2010 16:07

Thanks guys. I wuv you all Grin. despite my gloom and actual tears last night ( I never cry !) I have just giggled my way through this thread.

On iPhone with new boss at next desk. Better go :)

JosieSmith1 · 17/11/2010 13:47

BB I hope you're talking about the number of prunes you had last night, before bed and with breakfast, not the number of movements Grin

BrassicaBabe · 17/11/2010 10:27

@rse! Wrote a whole message only for it to disappear. Here goes again...

Oops missed your message sleepy! Faint congrats to match the faint BFP! Grin I hope the scan goes well.

PMSL @ mog shoving her boobs in DHs face! Grin

Sorry you are having such a tough time at the hoss yard josie. I hope a move comes up swiftly for you.

Yeah for the first official appointments creme and dyna

I have prune news! We seem to have movement! BlushGrin I had 10 with dinner last night. 5 before bed and about 10 with brekkie this morning before any umm action. I think I'm going to have a handful each morning. They are fairly low-calorie. I'll keep you posted! Kind, aren't I? Grin

JosieSmith1 · 17/11/2010 09:54

Thanks TakeThat, Nana really is such a strong woman and she?s such an inspiration. My Granda always used to say I reminded him of her when she was younger and I?ve always been really proud of it. Loving your response to the student by the way Grin

Thanks Miffles, she?s doing really well, off to visit her tonight as she?s still in. She?ll be having a reconstruction eventually but not yet, there was a reason why but I can?t remember. Apparently when she came to after the op she asked when they were going to start! She?d have been so relieved to have been told it was all done! Glad you had fun with your neice. Kids are fab at that stage aren?t they! When you can?t quite figure out what they?re saying but they keep jabbering away to themselves Grin Sorry for BFN Sad

Sorry the alcohol free alcohol is rubbish BB Grin. Eagerly (ok maybe not so eagerly) awaiting prune experiment results! Grin

Glad the first injection went well Vallinna and it wasn?t too much to worry about in the end

Sorry you?re Sad Nervous, it mustn?t feel too nice being the last ones left. There?s only me and bessie mate in our little group of frineds and she?s not TTC yet but is coming off the pill in March and if she gets pg before me I will be Smile but devastated really. She wants me to do it first, and I want me to do it first so we?d better damn well hurry up! Hope you enjoy your time off, and TT album

Grin SingingMog at singing ?Hi Ho Silver Lining? Grin. I?ve had a made up xmas song in my head all morning, which only has one line Confused Hope 2ww doesn?t torture you too much

Good luck at docs Dyna, will be exciting all over again when it?s declared official!

Oooo exciting cremegg!! I have no idea about nuchal scans over here I?m afraid Confused

Congrats SleepCaz!!! Best of luck for docs appt, let us know how it goes

No news from me except another awful night at yard with kids shouting and swearing up the yard, then some people DH knows (and hates/doesn?t trust) turned up and pestered us and poor horsey (she now hates them too Grin) then someone I know from work (wrong side of the glass) showed up and apparently owns the gorgeous foal in the next door stable Biscuit. There are no words to express just how much I want off that yard!

Anyway, ERD just about finished and if my charts are right Blush I should ov about this Monday so providing DH?s back is better I shall be donning the good ol? shag cape GrinGrin

takethatlady · 17/11/2010 09:32

SleepyCaz · 17/11/2010 08:04

Hi Viroids.

Valinna - What a horrid few weeks. Sending love and happy vibe.

Am just about to dash off on school run, BUT.......

Faint BFP!!!

Have scan at 3pm to check it's not in a tube or anything, as was booked in for laparoscopy and dye test On Dec 8th, due to pain, plus last 2 days the pain has moved to one side in particular.

But fingers crossed ladies!
