The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Hello, just popping in to say hi. Only about 2DPO so it's been a long wait already. Wish I'd spent the afternoon dreaming of Take That, or anyone to be honest. Instead I was at the dentist getting fillings. TBH I don't mind the dentist as such, it's the sharp needle in the gum first that makes me feel . I then came home with a totally frozen upper lip/check so drinking a cup of tea was interesting Hmm.

Got to go back for another one next week too. Boo hiss.

Welcome to twowoulddo; you'll be at home here!

Lots of kippers abounding recently. Wink. Naughty!!

Hope everyone's well. If mad as usual :)

SingingMog · 04/11/2010 19:55

Wish I had been dreaming about Take That all afternoon. Instead I got teenagers to sing "Aint no mountain high enough" and disappointed a Year 11 when I told him his composition sounded too much like Superstition by Stevie Wonder so he has to start again!

Hello to twowoulddo, glad you like Take That too. One of my happiest teenage mornings was when I woke up to find Mark Owen's face right on top of mine. Then I realised one of my posters had fallen down. Smile

I think you should not worry about the flying milano. Just go for it. Kippers are at the ready....

Those tests are still calling to me. If DH didn't know how many I had bought I would go an poas just to see if they worked. I am going to be a nightmare in the 2ww. You guys'll need to use a whale instead of a kipper!

PMSL at "getting your sparkliest shag cape on, downing your favourite tipple and riding your DP with randy abandon" TTL!!! (V impressed with wifely actions, I also did well last night giving DH a foot massage and not complaining when he played Call of Duty for ages).

Hope you took your cape and flew with the pant snot 123 Grin!!!

BB hope ttc is giving your mind a bit of a break this evening, sending cosy hugs from rainy and windy Preston.

Right, should really finish wedding thank you cards. It has been... Blush... just over 2 months already.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 04/11/2010 18:11

Well hasn't it been a busy afternoon in here then?! Grin Guess half you viroids have been off daydreaming about Take That all afternoon (though I can't figure out why, but that's just me).

takethatlady · 04/11/2010 13:01

Right twowoulddo that's it, you're officially not allowed to leave this thread now Smile

twowoulddo · 04/11/2010 12:18

Hi BB, good tactic! I have 8 for Wembley so if I land myself in a similar predicament I'll head here first Wink

I sold my tickets for the Circus tour as my daughter was only 6 weeks old. Couldn't bear to leave her! Have seen them at Milton keynes, 02 on NYE and back in the day at the first gig post Robbie. Have never seen the Robster and admittedly not a fan but will be a great show nonetheless!

twowoulddo · 04/11/2010 12:16

NMCB Ha! Thanks yes I recognise your username too. I popped on here when first started TTCing as didn't want to publicise it widelf on the other place I go. Also, I run a business that is in my sig and didn't want customers googling me to find out about my latest JS activity LOL!

BrassicaBabe · 04/11/2010 12:13

Welcome twowould We're hanging on for takethat's tickets because she will be too upduffed to go! GrinWink

ROFL at TakeThatLover!! It's sooo true Grin She Never shuts up about them.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 04/11/2010 11:29

Lots of cross posting there as I had to go play mega bloks train (oh the hardships of being a SAHM!).

Milano I've never heard that flying is bad during the first trimester. Only in the third (mostly because airlines don't want you giving birth mid flight!)

Twowould hello and welcome. Think I've seen you around on other threads. Sounds like you could use one of these ! There is plenty of self indulgent ranting in here, just be prepared for all the hugging too Grin

My 'hangover' has eased off today and as long as I don't spend to much time standing up I'm okay. Fecking starving actually.

takethatlady · 04/11/2010 11:26

Grin That's alright. Really I am the lover of all members of Take That and especially of Mark. (They are goooood, let me tell you). But I just call myself takethatlady as a cover for all the loving Grin

I am so worried about option b) that I'm refusing to leave this thread until I'm relatively certain about it.

Worry is a good thing - shows you are mental enough for this thread care :)

OP posts:
twowoulddo · 04/11/2010 11:25

Oops, faux pas already!!! I of course meant takethatlady Smile

twowoulddo · 04/11/2010 11:23

takethatlover Thanks for your message, how many weeks are you? Sounds like a nerve wracking time.

I curse myself daily as I know that 5 cycles is nothing relatively speaking but am petrified of a.) wishing my life away, b.) a BFP not resulting in a baby... See I am mad...

I think sadly, sometimes too much knowledge can be a bad thing and in my case just now it certainly is.

takethatlady · 04/11/2010 11:18

twowoulddo we can cheer you up.

Firstly five cycles is nothing to worry about. You were lucky before and you'll get there this time.

Secondly we allow drinking, flying on aeroplanes, al fresco and otherwise risque shagging, the eating of pate and runny eggs, and all the other stuff you're not meant to do while ttc but which makes you feel better anyway. And we haven't got a bad success rate :)

So I say the best cure for feeling fed up with ttc is getting your sparkliest shag cape on, downing your favourite tipple and riding your DP with randy abandon :)

Really really hope this is your month bb :)

Just wait til you're sleep deprived with your new born baby Brassica then all the fun and games of TTC will seem like a gentle game of go fish Grin Totally worth it of course though.

twowoulddo · 04/11/2010 11:13

Morning all,

Not really sure if I fit here or on another thread...

I post regularly on another forum but am sick of being there as such a fecking misery guts.

My stats - cycle 5 TTC #2. Not able to udnerstand the fertility (un)friend website, nor wish to if I'm honest. Finding myself turning into a BFP hater. I get horrificly envious of anyone's BFP's IRL mainly or other online 'friends' who were pregnant with #1 same time as me. I am fine around bumps or even new babies but luckily whenever a friend has recently announced a BFP it has been via text/email etc.

2 of my NCT group are 20ish weeks pregnant which hit hard as I wanted to TTC from when #1 was 4 weeks old and they all thought I was bonkers.

#1 was conceived very quickly without even having reached the decision we were definitely TTC. A fab surprise!

Not sure what route to go down here now as getting worse with my miserable mood each month that passes.

Apologies as I have come here to indulge my bitching, whining and downright miserly self for fear of ruining my friendships!

Off to browse other threads to see if I should be elsewhere but hi!

takethatlady · 04/11/2010 11:13

Hey milano, glad you are well.

Get your head out of the fridge, get shagging and book that flight though!

Read this

You'll be fine :).

Hugs to BB. I really, really hope it works out this month for you, not that I'm God or anything like that, but I just think you deserve it! That's great news about your sister too!

TTL Fab news about scan booking! This stage is all about waiting and it's head-wrecking, isn't it? I remember with DD I was on another site and it just seemed like everyone had horrible things happening, but then you have to put it into perspective - there are hundreds of people on these sites and someone is bound to have problems unfortunately. You just have to believe everything will be ok. You could always get a private scan to put your mind at ease, but I don't know how much they cost over there.
Nomore sorry about the ms hangover!

I am having a bit of a moment - I have to fly to the UK in December for a wedding and, if this cycle is successful that would mean that I'd be pregnant then and I'm really worried about flying because I heard it's not recommended during the 1st trimester, so anyway, I was thinking of not trying this month. BUT there's the issue of my dd who, next year will go to pre-school and I don't want to time the birth of a 2nd with that, but I don't want to wait ... wahhhhh! Someone slap me with a big kipper. I might not get pregnant for years FFS, so I suppose you just have to deal with whatever happens, right?

takethatlady · 04/11/2010 10:57

Yep. It does Smile

Just had to rebook my scan for 25th November. The woman at the hospital was NOT happy and said I can only change it if I don't have the nuchal scan!

But I suppose the dating scan is the most important and the fact that DH is there - both because he wants to be there and because if something is wrong it would be bloody awful if he was stuck in Dublin and I was on my own.

Now just got to bloody get through to the midwife! Lucky I'm off with a cold. Also had about 30 seconds of feeling like I was monumentally hungover earlier, and was about to throw up. It's gone now though, so I'm wondering if I made it up ...

OP posts:
BrassicaBabe · 04/11/2010 10:23

Only 5DPO. Going to have to wait a bit longer I guess (4 days and counting Grin....

Feel a bit weird this month. Feel caught between "it's never going to happen and I need to make an appointment for IVF" and "we did everything right, doubled the clomid dose and have an Ov temp spike, it's got to be this month". TTC proper fecks with mind doesn't it!

takethatlady · 04/11/2010 10:15

Well technically you can POAS any time you like Grin

How many DPO are you? I say 9DPO is the earliest I'd test ...

Hope frak doesn't come checking up on us otherwise I'm getting kippered ...

OP posts:
BrassicaBabe · 04/11/2010 10:11

Yep, I second the "bunch of freaks" sentiment! Grin

When can I poas?! I love the whiff of 2WW mentalness in the morning! Wink It's setting in viroids!

takethatlady · 04/11/2010 09:55

I don't know - I think she must be on the April or May boards. But I just meant we barely got the chance to get to know her because all was fine :)

We all know each other so well because we're a bunch of freaks Grin
