WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST
She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee.
Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.
Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.
Her boyfriend is on the cover of Playgirl.
And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

WOMEN'S REVENGE
"Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet
I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.
"So, do you always carry your TV remote?" I asked.
"No," she replied, " but my husband refused to come shopping with me, and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally."

UNDERSTANDING WOMEN
(A MAN'S PERSPECTIVE)
I know I'm not going to understand women.
I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax
pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root, and still be afraid of a spider.

MARRIAGE SEMINAR
While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication, Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."
He addressed the man,
"Can you describe your wife's favorite flower?"
Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, "It's Pillsbury, isn't it?
The rest of the story gets rather ugly, so I'll stop right here.

CIGARETTES AND TAMPONS
A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up and down the aisles. The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can help him. He answers that he is looking for a box of tampons for his wife. She directs him down the correct aisle. A few minutes later, he deposits a huge bag of cotton balls and a ball of string on the counter.
She says, confused, "Sir, I thought you were looking for some tampons for your wife?
He answers, " You see, it's like this, yesterday, I sent my wife to the store to get me a carton of cigarettes, and she came back with a tin of tobacco and some rolling
papers; cause it's sooo-ooo--oo-ooo much cheaper.
So, I figure if I have to roll my own ............ so does she.

WIFE VS. HUSBAND
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their
position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically,
"Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."

WORDS
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men...
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?"

CREATION
A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
" The wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!

WHO DOES WHAT
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."
The husband said, " You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me."
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says.......... "HEBREWS"

Never underestimate the power of laughter . . .
Laughter cheers the heart, relaxes the mind and soothes the soul.

i rode down here in the moustach of a man on a harley davidson replies the first flea.
oh no, what you should do is, what i do, go to the nearest airport bar, have a drink, find a nice stewardess and crawl up her skirt to a nice cosy place, then youll get here, nice and warm.
ok, i;ll try that says the first flea.
the following year they meet again, the first flea is shivering.
what happened, asks the second flea.
i did what you said, the first one replies, i went to an airport bar, found a nice stewardess and crawled up her skirt to a lovely cosy spot
it was so warm, i fell asleep.
and when i woke up, i was in the moustach of a man on a harley davidson.

Diddle · 12/09/2005 10:50

strike1 - you're not ranting. If only we knew what was happening to our bodies. I think its is quite normal to have abnormal cycles after a m/c, our bodies are regulating and it takes time. I'm sure there is nothing wrong strike, keep that bd just in case.

OP posts:
strike1 · 12/09/2005 10:32

No regular cycle at all really. It never really settled down after coming off the pill last Xmas before I got pg. After the mc I had one 32 days cycle and then the last one was 35. I worked to the 35 days to predicted ov this month, but was fairly liberal with the bding I just wonder if I'm ovulating at all? Got loads of af symptoms, but I've had those for over a week!

Sorry to rant on.

wishingchair · 12/09/2005 10:22

Morning all.

Maddyd - dress looks gorgeous. how exciting!

Strike - am also rubbish at waiting ... I've tested a whole 3 - yes 3 - times this month and am only on CD 28. But in my defense, af usually arrives CD 26/7. Anyway, all have been bfn. What a waste of money. Just waiting for af to arrive now but wish it would hurry up as have only got a small window of bd-ing this month due to stupid amount of business travel. I know some people get bfn but are actually pg but I've always got a bfp before so am 99.9% sure I'm not.

Hey ho.

So sad to hear about shelly. Just left her a msg on her thread. Got my fingers crossed things will work out ok.

Diddle · 12/09/2005 10:22

strike1 - i didn't talk to the doctors at all about my late cycles. I ahve had 2 in a row now, just waited for AF, then tried again. I wonder if i am ov later than i though and have not been bd at the right time, so we're not staopping bd this month. every other day till AF comes.

How long is your normal cycle strike?

OP posts:
strike1 · 12/09/2005 10:07

Morning all. Maddyd where's this dress! It sounds fantastic.

Hope everyone's well today, hang in there CH you'll get through it I know that wierd feeling I felt it all over my anniversary weekend. I remember when I told my mum we had booked to go to Florence for the weekend I was still pg and she said it would be great because Italians love pg women, I might even have been just showing then, I walked around all weekend thinking about that and staring at other pg women

Well another bfn (last night, I'm useless at waiting) cd 38 today. Did you talk to your doctors, Diddle or LL? Or did you wait till your cycle had gone beyond 35 days for a couple of cylces? I couldn't sleep last night cause I had this dull ache right down in my pelvis, but still no af

Diddle · 12/09/2005 09:56

Maddyd - its beautiful, will look lovely.

Coathanger - tough day for you, hope you'll be ok. milestones like this are horrible, keep smiling and think positive thoughts. Hope you get a great car, maybe you could get a zafira, then if you do ever the need the extra seats they're there, but its not like a big big people carrier.

Back to school this morning after my week off. one of the parents who was due 2 weeks before me was there with her newborn, i couldn't look, soooo jealous. Plus one of the kids i look after her mom is showing now, its not fair.

OP posts:
Coathanger · 12/09/2005 09:13

Ahhh, Maddy, it is beautiful. Thats the one I liked best! Gorgeous!! And a size 8!!!! WOW-WEE!!!

Sorry wasn't on much again yesterday. I've had a busy weekend. I played in a all ladies poker tournament last night at the casino (yes, I know...) and I came 2nd!!!!!! out of 24 women. I've only been playing since new year, and only with a group of friends. I've never played with anyone else. Some of the women have been playing years are seemed much better than me, but I did really well, if I do say so myself. Do any of you play?

I probably won't be on much til this evening, going to look for a new car today. I know it sounds wierd, but it will be quite hard coz we should be looking for a big people carrier, but will just be looking at 5 seaters now.

I would have been having my 12 week scan today, so feeling a bit odd today. Not tearful, surprisingly, but a bit wierd.

I hope you are all well and happy today.

xxxx
