Great news Ninja well I imagine that is why you are Grin ing!

A week to go for me, youngest dd is home from school sick, but when she is better she needs a complete new wardrobe as she has had a growth spurt. I won't have much time to worry or use the hot tub (wasn't filled before the weekend so haven't been in it yet.

2ww starts today - is it OK to sit in a hot tub? Know its not later on when you know you are pregnant, but not sure about at the start??

NinjaChipmunk · 30/10/2010 09:20

hello, i don't know that much about opk kits but i think yes they can pick up the hormones of pregnancy. no harm in getting a test, at least it might put your mind to rest!
I think i've missed my window this month am am currently feeling nothing going on. nevermind, i'll crack open the vino tonight.

since we've been trying 6 months now for number two and i'm over 35, at what point do you go to the doctors?

Hi everyone, can I hop on board? I think im on CD14, BUT my period this month was 3 and 1/2 days long and light when my periods are usually heavy and 5 days long, have been experiencing nausea but started ov testing on CD9 and they started getting darker on CD12 so I'm at a loss as what to think, considering buying £land test tmorro to check for pregnancy? Would my ov tests still get darker if i'm pregnant?

NinjaChipmunk · 25/10/2010 21:41

hello everyone, how are we all?
well i'm fairly sure i missed my window this month as only managed swi last night when it was the prev 2 days i had ewcm and 2 lines on my sticks, nowt yesterday on the sticks and nowt today. ah well, i'll know what to look for next month eh?
i guess i'm now on the next 2ww, god how it drags..................................

sorry to hear that buttonmoon. feel free to say hello before nid november though!

To answer my own question, it's implantation which causes the hormones apparently.

Anyway, there'll be no retesting this month - AF turned up this morning in her usual glory. Unmistakeable!

So, I'm out. Fully expect to see you all mid-late Nov to wait again!

buttonmoon78 · 24/10/2010 21:46

Was feeling quite positive until this afternoon. Began spotting brown discharge yesterday, feeling a bit off, generally a bit pg tho test on Friday was bfn. So was waiting until tomorrow am to retest.

However this afternoon I've had some bright red blood.

So now I'm wondering whether to test or not. I mean, if I test positive but only because an egg got fertilised but then failed to implant what have I achieved but that except to make me feel bad? Can you even get a +ve before implantation?

Confused
NinjaChipmunk · 24/10/2010 17:15

Hi afa still getting to grips with them. haven't done todays yet but have started keeping a bit of a cycle record on my phone so i can see if a pattern emerges. i don't think the ones i've ended up with are particularly clear but we'll see!!

hope everyone else is well? off to make a roast now but will check in again tomorrow.

Hi everyone Smile

button did you test again?

ninjawe've had the same- 2 sils, 2 aunts and my bf have all had babies in the past 6 months. Im pleased for them obv but its hard not to be jealous. Esp when everyone keeps asking is it not time ds has a wee brother or sister! How are you finding the ov tests? I said I wasnt going to use them this month but I ended up getting some in tesco last night when I went shopping.

chocs any symptoms to report yet? [hopeful emoticon] Hope the 2ww flies in for you

passthechocs · 20/10/2010 13:06

Thanks for that Ninja. That puts my cd as 13. Think I had ovulation pain yesterday, which totally ruined my 'I feel nausea' symptom spotting yesterday!

NinjaChipmunk · 20/10/2010 12:52

afternoon all, how's everyone today?

afa your dp sounds lovely and your ds sounds like mine. he keeps saying 'i wish there was a baby in your tummy mummy' as two friends have both had babys in the last month. bless him.

hello passthechocs I think you'll find most people on this thread had a healthy hatred of the 2ww. natures torture is what i think of it as.

buttonmoon you never know, it might still happen.

well I'm starting the ov sticks as of today so should be something to keep me occupied. dp seemed to think i was being rather organised and adult about it all. He doesn't quite get the whole 2ww thing and really i try to keep my mindless ramblings about it to myself as otherwise it brings it all on a bit of a downer i think.

passthechocs cd is cycle day (1st day of period is day 1 etc)

passthechocs · 20/10/2010 12:12

Fingers crossed for you button - it has taken me a while previously to get the BFP (I think about 1-2 wks after AF due).

AuntFlo-love the name. Not sure what cd means? DS1 (4yrs) and DS2 (nearly 2) were very quick, first month of trying (Blush), so am new to the whole obsession thing around TTC. Didn't really appreciate how easy it was before.

buttonmoon78 · 19/10/2010 23:28

Ok, so cheated and did a test on Friday. BFN. Did another yesterday. BFN.

Going to try another tomorrow am. Bet it'll be a BFN. But I don't understand my cycle at all! Ho hum...

AuntFlosAssassin · 19/10/2010 21:41

Hi passthechocs, my dps of the same mind! What cd are you on at the minute? What ages are your dcs? Smile

passthechocs · 19/10/2010 13:52

Hello-

Do you mind if I join in? Have been TTC #3 for a few months now and find the 2WW difficult. Can't talk about it with anyone (DH doesn't see point until we get BFP) but really struggle with wait - have wasted loads of pee sticks testing too early!

AuntFlosAssassin · 19/10/2010 13:31

Hi everyone, its gone a bit quiet hasnt it.

suffering did you test on sat?

AF nearly over for me at long last. Dp has instructed me that we've to 'really try' this month. eh? I thought thats what we've been doing for the past 29 months Grin. I have also been instructed (by dp) to not put my legs in the air after bding Blush as 'god knows what muscles you'll be clenching, i want you to just lie back and relax'. Grin God love him hes so nice and just as frustrated about all this as i am.

doesnt help that ds (3.1) has started asking for a baby so that he can 'put him in the baby swing and give him a dummy'. bless him. He has a name picked and everything. oh if only this is my lucky month..

sufferingbabyfever · 15/10/2010 13:39

Well AF you never know.

Still no sign of AF for me.

Started temp charting. No its not any good at the minute cos you need to do it over a while. But I feel my temp is quite high in relation to other peoples charts. Was like that today and yesterday. Hmm. Why?

AuntFlosAssassin · 15/10/2010 13:26

Thanks ninja. I know a break does the world of good but sometimes on here is the best place to be cause there are so many of you who understand what im going through.

suffering maybe your birthday will be a lucky date for your bfp? I am going out on sat too, so i will be joining you in getting unbelievably drunk Grin

sufferingbabyfever · 14/10/2010 15:05

Well that bugger of an AF is still not here!

Have resigned myself to a no. Since I got a BFN yesterday when it was due.

However going out for my birthday on Sat, so figure possibly retest on sat. So if its def neg then I will get unbelievably drunk.
