Hey lovely ladies

Sorry i've been absent for ages but I've been trying not to think about TTC this cycle.... According to my magic spreadsheet I ovulated on Saturday so we managed to SWI on Thursday night but then I went away from Friday morning to Sunday night and was too knackered last night - so if anything does happen this month it'll be a miracle!! Haven't done any POAS so no idea if i actually have ovulated yet this month...

Thought I'd do a quick tidy up of the stats - I've moved a few more people down to Missing In Action which I hope is ok...

Getdown thanks for your kind words this is exactly what happened last month too - and the positive should be really much stronger today given that i started testing positive 4 days ago but instead its barely visible on a super sensitive 10 miu stick.

Maybe next month? I dont really see me being lucky enough to get pg three months in a row though - maybe next year is more likely - fingers crossed though, Good luck :)

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/11/2010 12:48

So sorry to hear that roseyposey I don't want to give you false hope, but you have got a positive so it's not over till it's over.

Having said that it does sound similar to what happened to me - got a Clearblue BFP showing 1-2 weeks on day of AF due. I then did another one about a week later and it still only said 1-2 weeks, which made me a bit suspicious that HCG was not on the rise Sad

I got a negative on a first response by "5 weeks pregnant" and by then I knew all was not well. Started bleeding that same day Sad

It is crushingly disappointing, I really feel for you. Maybe the next bus will be our bus - hope so. Take care xxx

rosieposey · 01/11/2010 09:50

Just to add - i have a toddler and take my temps at different times too, there is definately still a pattern like lGG says, this is my second month and its working out really well.

Well im super pissed off :( according to the stats today is testing day but of course i started testing on 11 dpo, have had plenty of positives off 10miu IC's but FR are still coming up negative. Did another test this morning and it was so faint you could hardly see it :( I would have expected after 4 days for the hcg to have increased enough to be picked up by other brands of hpt's AF is officially late today and i know im pg i also know because this happened last month that its going to be another chemical - soooo fed up!

Temps are still up - although dropped a tiny bit this morning so i guess coupled with the super faint positive this morning (as opposed to quite a strong result yesterday, have put pics on my profile) that the hormones are on the wane.

Might not get on another bus for a while after this as i just hate the crushing disappointment of getting pg but not actually being able to keep it.

jaggythistle · 01/11/2010 09:45

Hello,

I am just jumping on here as I was on the wrong bus Blush

Having decided to start ttc this month instead of next if I was sucessful it would be a July not an August baby D'oh!

Might be back on the August bus soon enough but thought I'd say hi. Due AF next weekend and am going to try to resist any testing till Friday...

queenrollo Re temp measuring - I only did it for a month but it was a bit difficult for mr too with shift working. This may sound mad, but I set an extra alarm for my earliest getting up time (4am Shock) and then I could just go back to sleep and read the temp off my digital thermometer later.

No idea how I would do it now with my 13 month old random alarm clock though...Although he mostly sleeps till at least 5 so am thinking of trying it next month Grin

Good luck everyone.

LadyGoneGaga · 01/11/2010 08:35

Give it a go Queen. Mine are a bit all over the place due to odd wake up times due to a non-sleeping 2 year old! But still can just about recognise pattern along with charting all the other signs. It really helps me - are you signed up to Fetrility Friend? Takes all the hard work out of it IMO!

queenrollo · 01/11/2010 08:13

I bought a BBT but haven't managed to keep taking my temp as i'm sometimes woken very early by commuting DP getting up/leaving and sometimes disturbed by a DS having bad dreams unsettled sleep so my temps were all over the place, and not really a good indicator of what was going on.
If i get AF this cycle then i'm going to try the charting again, now the clocks have changed i find mornings easier so may be able to chart better.

LadyGoneGaga · 31/10/2010 22:31

Have you tried charting, Queenrollo? I have longish cycles and also unpredictable and they would drive me insane otherwise. At least I know when I definitely ov so I know when to expect AF and when I can test Grin.

queenrollo · 31/10/2010 21:46

oh KLou i hope the vet can give you some good news tomorrow. In the last few months our dog was harder and harder work and yet I'd still rather have her here with me. Will be thinking of you and checking back on the thread for news.

I understand the frustration of those with long cycles too......i'm hoping that my herbal stuff is going to reduce mine but as i had a second 'AF' on day 9 of this cycle i'm not really sure where i stand with what cycle day i'm on and i suppose I won't really know until i have another full cycle (unless by some miracle i am PG this time). The wait and the feeling of not getting as many chances as other people gets me really down sometimes. I almost feel like getting AF every 28 days for a while until falling pregnant would be preferable to this seemingly endless wait from day 35 onwards until AF turns up.

Have had a lovely evening, parents came round for a Hallowe'en 'party tea' and DS really enjoyed it.

Brasso4 · 31/10/2010 17:45

Oops should be by then!

Brasso4 · 31/10/2010 17:45

I will probably test again on Thursday, that matches with our BDing times! Obviously AF might have put in an appearance since then.

Eskarina · 31/10/2010 17:05

KLou so sorry about your dog. Hope it doesn't come to making that decision. Sad

Brasso I'm on CD 37 too, longest previous cycle was 35 days and usually more like 33. I too hate that cycles are so long and seem to be getting longer, and especially hate the feeing that I'm somehow missing out on chances by not having as many cycles as most.

When were you planning on testing again, AF notwithstanding? I'm going to try to hold out until Wednesday (CD40!)

Brasso4 · 31/10/2010 16:29

Thanks GetDown think I will probably need to head for the September bus!! If I ov'd late then I think the chances are slimmer, not much 'action' in last couple of weeks IYSWIM!!! I should know by the end of this week one way or the other. Feeling rough and just want to take cough medicine!!

GetDownYouWillFall · 31/10/2010 16:08

Oh brasso4 Sad it's so disappointing isn't it? My cycles can be up to 45 days so understand the frustration with having to wait so long for each "chance".

I would say that it's not over till it's over. If you ov'd later than you thought, you still could be pg just not enough to show up on the test yet.

Sometimes though, we just kind of get the feeling though that it's not the month.

I hope you get the BFP soon, maybe see you on the august bus!

Brasso4 · 31/10/2010 16:02

Sorry to hear about your dog KLou. Hope it is all OK.

Well just done another test - BFN. No AF either. I hate TTC, my cycles are so long. Now on CD37. I just feel that with such long cycle lengths, I don't get as many chances as those with normal cycles. Grrrrrr!

Fairly sure that this month is a no go now, just waiting for AF.

KLou111 · 31/10/2010 11:42

Well, I'm having the shittiest of days. As queenrollo will understand with her recent loss.

Dog was rubbing his eye last night, thought he had something in it, hubby looked and couldn't see anything. Got up this morning as he is blind in that eye! It has totally clouded over like a white colour.
Phoned vet, and she said if he gets any worse take him down. He seems OK, wouldn't open that eye til an hour ago, I had to force it open to check it this morning.
He is his usual self with respect to eating, playing etc, but have read that if in one eye will go to his other eye.
We may have to make 'that' decision tomorrow......
Hubby and I are very upset, having a good cry. We've had him 8 years, and yes, he's a little shit sometimes, but couldn't bear it if we lost him.
To top it all off, it's my birthday tomorrow, I don't care about it now, he's more important, but what a great day that will be if the worst happens.
Feeling very :(

MrsP81 · 31/10/2010 10:49

Hello ladies, hope you all enjoyed your extra hour in bed this morning.

Well done Eskarina on your off topic news!

queenrollo, glad that your stressful situation has been resolved.

And welcome to Hulla!

I've still got sore boobs which is not a usual AF sign for me. However, I am feeling very crampy and that does feel like an AF sign. Sad I know it's not over til it's over but it's much easier to say that to somebody else than it is to believe it yourself!

Me and DH are having lunch with some family today so that will be a nice distraction from the 2ww.

Eskarina · 31/10/2010 10:20

OK, have caught up a bit on thread.
Congrats to Scotty and MyLittleBubble, and queenrollo am glad situation with ex is looking more positive. Fingers crossed that it's not AF about to show up.

Going completely off topic here, I've just had some of the best news I could get (apart from a BFP!) and DH has cleared off for a 2 hour run so I can't tell him so I'm telling you lot instead! I've passed my MA!! It was rather a bland letter informing me that I will be pleased to know (well duh) and telling me about graduation procedures.

Ahem. As you were.

GetDownYouWillFall · 31/10/2010 09:57

will pray for you too Eskarina Smile Children are a gift from him after all.

Eskarina · 31/10/2010 09:31

And in His strength we can do all things Smile. Will remember you in prayers. Hope you don't think I'm weird for praying for a "virtual" friend as well as RL ones!

GetDownYouWillFall · 31/10/2010 09:00

I'm not very strong really, I have a very strong God Smile who I cling to with all my might Smile

Glad you had a great time in Paris.

Eskarina · 31/10/2010 08:54

Oh Getdown I'm so sorry to hear that Sad

I hope you're getting some good support in RL too. You sound very strong.

I had a fab time in Paris, thankyou. We had amazing weather, and I really enjoyed showing DH round - I've been before, I spent a fortnight there whilst I was at uni, but he's never been.

GetDownYouWillFall · 31/10/2010 08:17

welcome back Eskarina how was Paris? Hope you had a lovely time!

Don't beat yourself up over not charting. You were on holiday, you deserved a break.

Sorry to hear that your cycle is proving elusive. It's frustrating when they are so long like that. I would reassure you though that mine are very erratic too, and when I did get pregnant with DD, it was ovulation on CD32!! I was starting to despair that I would never ovulate, but I did.

You may not have caught up on the thread yet, but I'm sorry to report I had a MC this week Sad on wednesday. Totally gutted but reaching the point of acceptance now.

I will probably have to get off this bus now and hop on to the August one. I've no idea what my cycle is doing now post MC, temps are up and down, but at least the bleeding is easing a bit now.
