Hi Hippyhen welcome to the mad house

hippyhen · 04/10/2010 08:25

Right, have now read through this thread and understand a bit more. Re the 3 year bit - we weren't TTC determinedly all that time, just open to it. DH suffered from depression, and had a close friend who regretted having a child, which was hardly encouraging. I found it hard to want sex enough, and he reckoned this was bad because I'd want it even less after a child. Fortunately this has improved.

So it's really only in the last 18 months that we've tried to have sex often enough. All this does mean though that I'm finding it hard to believe I could ever conceive. Reading this thread has helped me a lot to come to terms with seeking medical help, which felt like an admission of defeat before - I know that sounds daft.

Have started taking a strong herbal infusion which I believe may help, and will book Dr's appt today. Have also ordered Toni Weschler's book (Taking Charge of your fertility). So:

Hello, I'm pretty much new (posted on a couple of threads about a week ago).

Am in a bit of a mess really. Have been TTC for three years, am now 37 (just). At the start our attempts were rather half-hearted though. I am now very very tired of being disappointed every month. I feel very lonely. Not the place for this on this thread I suspect. Haven't been to the doctor for reasons that would sound pathetic to you, but am promising myself I'll make an appointment tomorrow.

Now, I'm not sure what # means in the stats - is that the number the child would be to you? - or what Cycle number is. But I reckon this is the latest:

Fatheadsgirl : I tend to go on Ebay and check what my nexy pushchair will be Grin

Well, CD33 for me and I'm starting to get bored,LOL
we ony BD twice this month ,on CD 22 and last night on CD32 when ( VERY WEIRD) I found a lot of EWCM Confused
I'm pretty sure I ovulated around day 22 because I started having pain around day 18 and I had some brown spotting on day 24-25-26 and the Dr said it was very likely it was ovulation bleed(ng and I also had some EWCM at the time 9 not much ,but still some)
The only thing is that I've been going to the loo for a pee more often over the past few days and I've been having a feeling of heaviness in my lower abdome. If AF doesn't show up by Tuesday ( 35 days has been y longest recorded cycle since we started TTC) I'll do a test

dreading arrival of ERTD :(

hope you are all having a fab weekend x

ravenlocks · 03/10/2010 15:08

Hi July'ers. Can I jump on? (Hee hee will be saying that to DH quite a bit in the next couple of weeks!)

Rejected from the June bus, and the May and April on before that.

Going to try to chillax this cycle and see if that does it.

Had a bit of an obssessive day yesterday. Found myself making wish-lists on Mothercare and Babie'r'us, oh dear (shakes head at self emoticon) Thankfully DP not overly concerned that Im turning into a complete wierdo.
Off to pick up DSD cot today. Get to have DSD on Sat! Really looking forward to meeting her, bit nervous too.

Teds77 · 02/10/2010 22:50

Hello all - can I join you? Recognise some of you from the June bus.

DH was on cooking duty too in attempt to cheer me up at arrival of AF.

But am convinced that the July Bus will be a lucky one.

today turned out lovely.....pottered around the house this morning, out in the garden this afternoon and inbetween a visit from my herbalist. I now have in my possession a herbal concoction that will hopefully get my cycles into order and get me a baby Grin

DP cooking dinner and later on i think i'll make a fruit crumble. Feeling all autumnal and wanting stodgy comfort food.

fatheadsgirl · 02/10/2010 14:48

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been about in a while. Took DD to the cinema and shopping this morning. Now watching a DVD and chilling out. Feeling quite sick so not moving from the sofa, excuses, excuses Grin

absentbump you'd missed off your CD so i've added it but let me know if you'd rather it was left off....

Thought i'd do the stats again and add mrsden in so it's all tidy and together.

I am in full blown 'cry at everything' AF mode Blush......and DS is being quite amusing too. I look at him and think how lucky i am to have him, and then want to share the joy of parenthood with DP (he is not ds father).....and i get all tearful. I see how much he loves DS and can't explain to him just how different is when you look at a child and think 'I created that, this little human being is part of me'

Oh dear.....i need a kick up the backside today.

Can I jump on this bus please? AF turned up yesterday so got kicked off the June bus. But July is so much better than June!

well, need to get DH up cause he needs to drive DS to his drama class
any nice plans for the weekend?
DS has is first birthday party with his reception friends and then we are off to South London to see my newborn niece Grin looking forward to a cuddle!!!

Brasso4 · 01/10/2010 22:10

Well just got rid of AF so the BD can begin in earnest!! Wink.

Before getting pregnant with DD I had cycles that lasted from 30-42 days, however, when I actually conceived my cycle must have been at its shortest - I missed OV with my Ov sticks, was convinced it was not going to happen and low and behold, BFP!!! Anyway - 18months on not sure what my cycles will be like but hoping to have fun trying (or more than I did last time when it got a bit stressful) I intend to enjoy my time on the bus.

I found last time that white wine considerably helped conception - Shock

Have a great weekend - hello to new travellers.

KnackeredCow · 01/10/2010 16:46

Hello absentbump

< KnackeredCow waves>

Good luck for your FC appointment in November. Let's hope that they can get to the bottom of it soon. Maybe the spotting is nothing to worry about? FX for you.

< Hmm rubs ankle, think I might have sprained it running for the bus - might need some wine paracetemol to numb it>

inbetweener · 01/10/2010 16:38

hello all,
I popped into Boots last night on my way home from work and ended up buying a first response test.Blush Even though Im still a week away !!! Of course it was a big old BFN and now im annoyed and sad ! I dont know why I do it to myself. I guess falling so easily for DD2 I thought this would be a breeze.

Stupid me !!!

Still, a July baby sounds lovely, and will give me an excuse for being fat in summer for a change. Rather then just fat lol.

Actually thats a point. Im about 2 stone heavier now Blush then when I fell pg with my other 2. Could that be it ? Or is it the fact im 36 and ancient lol.

x

Hi girls please can I hop on your bus, I always read these and never actually joined so bit of a newbie.

My stats are

absentbump TTC #1 cycle 17 UCL 23-27 days

I think I have a leutal phase defect and I am trying to get to the bottom of why I start spotting 5 DPO then nothing then spotting form day 8 until AF so litterally spotting for about 10 days before AF. I always get my hopes up that is implantation but after last 10 months I've given up that hope. I've just got a referral for my first fertility appointment at the hopsital for 5 november so lets hope I can find out some info on why. Also I had blood tests and do ovulate on day 14/15. DH has had tests and not great result but is fertile luckily.

Anyway it is nice to meet you all and hope i can give advise as well as get your thoughts, AF turned up today propely so fingers crossed for a BFP this cycle and all the best of luck and fingers crossed for you ladies. I'm bringing lots of chocolate, glasses of wine on board!!!

Luce Not a silly reason at all. Just thinking about my wardrobe, I have a few empire line floaty summer dresses. I think they'd accomodate a bump quite nicely too. July baby sounds good!

Sorry to hear your cycles are a bit all over the place. Mine are regular, but DH and I have been trying for a year and no success yet. I suspect I'll be on the August bus and subsequent ones too! We've just been referred to FC. DH waiting to have SA done. My bloods and swabs have all been normal. Guess it will be an HSG for me next. Hmm

Luce2006 · 01/10/2010 13:35

KnackeredCow I would pay all in 1 pence pieces.....Grin
Well, I got hold of my seat a while ago and I'm not leaving it!!!LOL My periods are VERY irregular(anything from 19 days to 35) so i've got the feeling this is a long cycle
I'd actually prefer a July baby, just for the very silly reason that I've got loads of lovely summer dresses that would look gorgeous with a bump Grin (sily reason I know Blush )

KnackeredCow · 01/10/2010 13:27

Maybe see you soon, or maybe the June bus doesn't have an AF stop for you? Grin
