Welcome to the July Bus - a place for anyone TTC a July 2011 baby...

Ding Ding... the bus is ready to depart :)

Teds77 · 19/10/2010 20:47

Oh Knitter sorry to hear your news Sad but glad you are sticking around on the bus.

My cycles were always pretty reliably 30 days (on and off contraception) until earlier this year when they suddenly went down to 26 days for about six months. I now seem to be about 27 days. Doesn't really help you (sorry!) but I guess sometimes things don't seem to make much sense and agree with kat, that shorter cycles mean less time between SWI Grin

queenrollo sorry to hear about your dogs. Our cats (Noel and Liam - DH is massive Oasis fan so I thought it best to use up the names on the kitties) are my fur babies and I'd be heartbroken if we lost them Sad

I think letting nature take its course is a good plan. We delayed ttc for a year for a variety of reasons and I do regret that a bit, especially as I didn't fall pg instantly - though I realise this is a bit naive Blush

Finally - welcome goingforfour Smile and MrsP81 am sending some lemsip supplies your way...

Scottygirl10 · 19/10/2010 20:36

Hello all, congratulations getdown! :) And sorry to hear AF showed her ugly mug knitter :(. Thought I'd share my TTC story thus far...

August this year first month of TTC, tho no obsessive charting of Ovulation dates etc...no no that was all to come ;)

No cigar August, however was over the moon to discover i had a BFP in september :) happiness Short lived however as sadly miscarried very early on. More gutted than I ever imagined I could be, first pregnancy and all.

So here I am on this happy little bus praying for another glorius line on (yet another) pt ;) I've added my stats alrady but think I got them wrong, so if some kind mummy to be could add my accurate stats to the list...

TTC#1 Cycle3 UCL30 AF due 26/27th October (roughly as hard to predict due to mc)

Now I'm away to run up the stairs for the boob test! ;)

MrsP81 · 19/10/2010 19:18

Yay, congratulations getdown!!! Fab news.

Sorry to hear that AF got you knitter.

Our SWI week looks like it might be going down the drain, I seem to have picked up another stoopid cold. Grrrrrr.

goingforfour · 19/10/2010 19:12

Hi everyone, this is my first ever post on any website but have been reading your updates for past couple of days and thought maybe I should hop on!

I think my stats are:
TTC#4 cycle 1 UCL 28ish AF due 26/27th Oct.

Please could someone add me on to the list,
Thank you. :)

LadyGoneGaga · 19/10/2010 19:04

Sorry about the wicth, Knitter. Join me at the back - second time lucky, eh?! Your hormones are prob still settling post-mc. at least you get more go's? Hope mine go a bit shorter as they'd gone up to 35 dayers pre-mc.

kat2504 · 19/10/2010 18:21

getdown Congratulations! Am very excited for you, here's hoping the next nine months go very smoothly for you.

Knitter sorry to hear AF got you. My cycles aren't as predictable as they used to be pre mc. I used to be 26 days on the dot. But 25 is still within the normal range so I wouldn't be too concerned. On the bright side, a shorter cycle means your next swi opportunity will come around sooner!

Eskarina · 19/10/2010 17:59

Knitter sorry AF has got you, but glad you're hanging around. I've no idea why your cycle is playing you up so much - I've never had very regular cycles but I would say that if yours keep getting shorter then it might be worth consulting a GP.

KnitterNotTwitter · 19/10/2010 17:40

Well my spotting is definitely now my AF.

Gutted...

And surprised - that is a 25 day cycle according to my magic spreadsheet. I used to be a reliable 30 day cycle girl but last one was 28 and this on is 25. Any idea what is going on?

Still I get another crack at this bus so I'll snuggle down at the bottom of the list between inbetweener and choco:

Wow Getdown congratulations! It's lovely news to come home to. It is great to have "virtual" friends to get excited for, and I'm glad you can share it with us Grin
Fingers crossed for lots more BFPs on this thread soon.

queenrollo I'm sorry about your dogs. We have a cat, used to have 2 and were so upset when she disappeared, never to return. I got jumpy about the remaining one going out for months afterwards.

I too have a secret stash of ebay cheapie tests in my bedside table. Only 10, but it's enough that I think "well I could just try, it won't hurt..." That's why they're in the bedroom, not the bathroom so that I can talk some sense into myself before I get them out! As I'm only about 5dpo (assuming I did O) it's a little premature. We're going to Paris for half term next week, back late saturday night,so I'm going to try to hold out until the Sunday. AF is due next weds/thurs. What's the french for "I need a pregnancy test and a ramekin to pee in"? Grin

emmylou30 · 19/10/2010 17:11

Fab new getdown bet you're super excited :)

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/10/2010 17:04

Sorry about your dogs queenrollo Sad we have a dog too, and she is totally part of the family. We will all be devastated when she goes. She has really big brown eyes, and always comes and puts her chin on your lap if you are feeling down.

Sounds like a plan re. just letting nature take its course.... No, I wouldn't go back on the pill, takes ages for hormones to settle again. Just try and take all the stress out of TTC if you can.

queenrollo · 19/10/2010 13:24

Getdown Grin what absolutely wonderful news.
I'm still thinking about what to do. Had a good night's sleep and don't feel so wretched and down as a result. I've been so frustrated by my odd cycles that i feel like i shouldn't be wasting my time by not trying this month. I certainly can't go back on the pill and undo the last 10 months of trying to get my body back to normal. I think i'm just going to let nature take it's course. If i get pregnant i do and if i don't then well.....i'll cry....but i'll get over it.
The dogs are the biggest stress for me and in all likelihood we won't have them much longer. One probably won't see Christmas and we think the other one will go downhill rapidly without his companion.Sad

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/10/2010 12:33

Oh thanks so much PeevedEve, Chocoflakes, Greeneyesbigbottom and Teds77.

It's lovely to be able to share it on here, as obviously not going to tell anyone in RL for a while.

Mylittlebubble try to resist the early tests if you can!! It's just soooo disappointing if you get a BFN, but aren't "sure" IYKWIM....

Greeneyesbigbottom if you timed it right there is definitely a chance!! Hoping this will be your month too!

Teds77 · 19/10/2010 11:30

They are crossed Greeneyes!

GetDown that's fabulous! Second MyLittle in that it's amazing how excited you get for virtual buddies Smile

MyLittle hold out! But understand the inpatience... and I'm another six days after you Smile

Knitter spotting sounds unusual?? A good sign Confused I do hope so!

Greeneyesbigbottom · 19/10/2010 10:55

I'm on countdown now. Think we actually managed to BD on the right days to maximise our chances this month which only makes my obsessing x10000 worse!

Have sore boobs but thats usual.

Please cross your fingers for me xxx

Mylittlebubble · 19/10/2010 10:02

How sensitive do you think the cheapy internet preg tests are? Do you think they would work before your period is due?

Ohh I'm getting impatient!

Chocoflakes · 19/10/2010 09:59

Fantastic news getdown !!!! Grin, congratulations, I bet you are going through loads of emotions right now.

mylittlebubble, fingers crossed.

I am still waiting for AF, have no symptoms now except for being extemely tired, even after sleeping for 8 hours solid, I could go back to sleep now, but have a driving lesson so must concentrate!

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/10/2010 09:47

Mylittlebubble · 19/10/2010 09:28

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/10/2010 09:14

thank you so much knitter lady and bubble

Hopefully you guys will be closely behind me!

Here are my 2ww symptoms:

nothing before 7DPO.
At 7DPO I felt crampy pains - quite sharp but not unbearable. They lasted half a day or so. No spotting though..
From 7DPO onwards I had quite sore boobs. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary, I didn't need to "poke" them to feel the soreness though, would feel it if, say, running up stairs.
Feel a bit sick today (13DPO)
Had a slightly strange taste in my mouth yesterday.

Baby dust to all! xxx

LadyGoneGaga · 19/10/2010 09:06

Congratulations! Grin Amazing news.

Mylittlebubble · 19/10/2010 09:06

Hippyhen your next up. When you testing?

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/10/2010 08:48

thank you so much!!

CB digital said 1-2 weeks, which ties in well.

I feel sick! But think it's just the adrenalin!!

Am so amazed, just in a daze really....
