sounds promising Teds77 - I would hold out till the 30th though if you can. Nothing more disappointing than a BFN.

I have been very naughty and just ordered a load of cheapy OPKs off amazon Blush

Ravenlocks sorry to hear that Sad

Congrats Scottygirl

Anyone else thinking about testing? I've had a dull ache around my left hip bone for the last couple of days which I presume is a signal AF is about to arrive... I never noticed any twinges before I started this #ttc lark!

ravenlocks · 28/10/2010 12:09

Congrats scottygirl. AF got me this morning so I am off the bus. Good luck everyone. xx

Congrats scottygirl

Sorry to hear your news getdown

Well the last two days i've had EWCM, much more noticeable than it has been since i came off the pill so this herbal stuff is definitely doing something.

Reached a bit of a crisis point over a big stressful situation yesterday and hopefully it will be resolved soon. It's to do with DP's ex-wife and I will be so glad to finally be shot of her. He's tried to be fair (more than fair actually, but he's a big softy) and she just keeps pushing for more. I put my foot down and said i will not be able to cope with the ongoing stress especially if i am pregnant/have a new baby to look after. I don't like to give ultimatums but i have, because he needed a big kick up the arse.

Well i'm expecting more builders today, the house is still covered in plaster dust from Tuesday and so it'll be more cleaning for me......

LadyGoneGaga · 27/10/2010 21:28

Congrats Scottygirl!!!

KLou111 · 27/10/2010 21:24

Congratualtions scottygirl hope it's a sticky one xx

MrsP81 · 27/10/2010 20:52

Congrats scottygirl, fab news!

MrsP81 · 27/10/2010 20:51

I'm so sorry for you getdown.

I had a similar thing 3 cycles ago at 5ish weeks. My bleeding was much heavier than usual and lasted a bit longer too. I then had AF again after 5 weeks (but my cycles tend to be on the longer side anyway).

Hugs to you. xxx

wantonenow · 27/10/2010 20:43

getdown sorry to hear about your mc, hope you are enjoying your nice glass of wine tonight tho...

Scottygirl - congrats on the news!

I have a confession to make... I just did a hpt - ridiculous I know (I ov'd on Monday I think )so absolutely no way it would show anything but you know when you convince yourself that you might, just might get a positive. Oh well, this is my first month of ttc. And hubby is away so I am bored...

Hope everyone is having a nice night.

littlemisslozza · 27/10/2010 20:13

Congratulations scottygirl, brilliant news, wishing the next few weeks go quickly for you.

Scottygirl10 · 27/10/2010 20:05

That's meant to say heavier than 'usual' not heavier than truck lol

Scottygirl10 · 27/10/2010 20:03

Thanks getdown, but like I say one day at a time. In answer to your earlier question, I mc on 29 September and bled heavier than truck for about 6 days. I believe i then ovulated around 13th to 15th October wi a bfp yesterday! When this happened to me last month all I could think about was getting pregnant again, and clearly it can be done in a short time frame. I guess everyone's different :). Hoping for a sticky beam this time, and one for you too next time round x

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/10/2010 19:50

Congratulations Scottygirl Smile

Scottygirl10 · 27/10/2010 19:48

Couldn't contain myself and tested 2 days early...faint line! Tested again today and got slightly stronger line. Not getting ahead of myself. Got so exited last time and ended in mc at 5 weeks. Waiting till Saturday to do clear blue digital. No counting of chickens here...good luck to all the other testers :) x

Mylittlebubble · 27/10/2010 19:23

Right gonna put DD to bed then have a nice bath and early night. Rest Rest Rest. I pushed it last time when things started to look bad thinking if I ignored it the worst wouldn;t happen, but it did. So promised myself I would look after myself this time even if I do sound neurotic!!

LadyGoneGaga · 27/10/2010 19:16

I had brown spotting/blood with my first pregnancy Bubble and it was fine. It was red blood with my second that ended in mc. Have fingers crossed for you.

Mylittlebubble · 27/10/2010 19:13

I have had brown blood all day worried it might turn to proper bleeding. As anyone else had this much brown blood and it come to nothing?

LadyGoneGaga · 27/10/2010 18:42

This site www.pregnancyloss.info/recovery.htm is really helpful on recovery times etc. It took 5 and a half weeks from when bleeding started for me to get next AF and I kept ttc that first cycle anyway, I was charting and ovved after 4 and a half weeks but had a really short luteal phase. But the Doctor told me there is no need to wait for AF to come, they only say that for the purposes of dating the pregnancy but if you chart and use OPK's you should be able to date it anyway.

They say you are more fertile after a mc as well.

I know what you mean re: a summer baby but tehre is still time to get one in and babies are lovely whenever they are born. It's not silly anyway, it's always sad when you make plans and it all changes.

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/10/2010 18:32

thanks so much littlemisslozza it's great you went on to have two normal pregnancies Smile

I see what you mean about it putting a dampner on future pregnancies though - expecting it to happen again. I told my best friend, naively thinking everything would be fine. Feel a bit foolish now TBH. Won't be telling anyone straight away in RL if I do manage to get pregnant again....

thanks re. the info about the bleeding and your cycle. I feel a bit downcast about having to wait 6 weeks for next period Sad

I know it sounds really trivial but was soooo looking forward to having a summer baby - literally all my family's birthdays are either nov or dec (inc. mine) also I had really bad PND after DD and I'm sure it was partly because of the dark, cold december days Sad

Still, I should be happy if I get pregnant again, regardless of when the birth date is.

littlemisslozza · 27/10/2010 18:25

So sorry to hear what you are going through Getdown. I had an early mc at roughly 5 weeks, it was my first pregnancy and I've had two children since and TTC#3.

With regards to your cycle I found that it took about 6 weeks to get a period after the mc and once I'd had that we TTC again and were successful - DS1 is sitting on my lap watching Postman Pat Smile

The bleeding was longer and heavier I'm afraid even though I was only just pregnant. I had already been to the GP to tell them I was pg (first time excitement!) so I rang up and said I thought I was mc so they did send me to EPAU. Nothing to see on the scan though.

It certainly put a dampner on the first few weeks of my subsequent pregnancies as it's so hard not to expect it to happen again - in fact I started bleeding at 6 weeks with DS2 and thought I was mc again, all was well and saw a little heartbeat on the scan so just goes to show how each pg is different.

Take care

GetDownYouWillFall · 27/10/2010 18:03

thank you all for the hugs. Feeling a bit crappy TBH.

Going to treat myself to a glass of wine tonight.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your cycle back on track? Or is it one of those "different for everyone" kind of things? Also does the bleeding last longer or shorter than a normal AF? The GP was pretty useless on these questions and couldn't really say.

ravenlocks · 27/10/2010 17:30

Getdown wanted to give you some virtuals hugs from me too. Take care of yourself. Xxx
