Temps are plummeting. Sigh. Guess I should pull on the tighty-whities and push the pee sticks to the back of the cupboard.

MummyAbroad · 14/10/2010 01:23

nickstermum · 14/10/2010 00:24

Oi batfink do we want to know what teabagger is?!?!?! is that up there with dogging and cottaging? pray tell... Shock

LadyBee · 13/10/2010 22:14

evening,
Oh dear my body is throwing the full whack of symptoms for me to spot - today I had waves of nausea, total fatigue, sore boobs, peeing for britain and burping (this is one of my personal favourites). But, this is the kicker, no rise in temperature. I think they went down a bit. Sad
I even took my temperature twice this morning, second time after burrowing down into the duvet to try to persuade the celcius to rise a little. No luck.
Ladies - it's time. Bring out the kippers, and SOMEBODY SLAP ME!

loola, does it matter when you ovulate? as long as you do and as long you got some SWI in, surely that would be ok? I guess as long as the luteal phase stays an ok length, that is.

hi lurkin'lolly, it made me Grin to see that you actually used the phrase geewhizz. I say stuff like that and my DH starts acting like I've stepped out of 1950s corny children's movie about a dog called Red.
Love the excuse of temping to read in bed for several hours. I guess I do the same thing, just on the sofa until late at night moving only 'mousing' hand.

mummyabroad - 'Orphan babies' Sad. The massage sounds lovely, and good on your DH for finding another gynae, but I do hope your AF does appear in the next week.

KTRace, that's a long time bleeding - is it still red or is just a long tail of brown spotting etc?

Choccybick - well, I guess you could have sore muscles if you had a virus, sometimes they do cause muscle & joint aches. I hope you feel better soon and don't fall over after a hot bath.

Velvet you are being so restrained. I am having to sit on my hands and I'm not even late. Mind you I've had my stash of cheapies sitting there in the cupboard since before my last pg, so the memory of spending the money is long gone, it's like they're free. I really hope this month is it for you.

JamFace you're definitely not the only one, that's exactly my pattern too. I spotted for about 3 days before my natural MC. I don't spot before my periods. They just start. It's great fun playing period roulette when they're due. Fortunately I'm pretty regular.

nickster you go grrrl...looks like you've been granted a second chance Grin I think you ought to do some punishment for that, ah, um, do I have to call it a poem? GrinGrin You're on fish-sweeping for a week m'dear.

Hello battybabe - congrats on finishing the exams - am extremely jealous of both the studying and the being off until February.

PFF you can get them at bigger Boots. I think they cost a bit more than online, but they

  1. Work.
  2. Come in a snazzy black case
  3. Are accompanied with a little chart that you can fill in yourself, which is nice in a low-tech, maths homework sort of way.
  4. Don't require waiting for post if you can drop in easily.

Finally - Venice by car???????? AandR I doff my bonnet. You are a far far braver woman than I. Take wellies, won't you. Oh. Wait. Was that the boot-buying reason?
Poor you re: pool incident. Never mind. Here's that glass of wine.

AandRMum · 13/10/2010 21:37

Wow ... gone for a few minutes and it has let loose in here. I giggled at teabagger too!
velvet I am going to be away when you finally test!!! I will need to find internet access. We have decided to travel to Venice by car. 17 hours of driving with two toddlers here we come!! Oh in the excitement of the tooth saga - thanks for the info Chokki mouthguard is definitely going to help in the TTC stakes!! - I forgot the other highlight of my day - DD2 had runny poo in the local swimming pool whilst we were waiting for DD1s swimming lesson. The toddler pool had to be closed on our account and I had to do the walk of shame with brown slosh dribbling everywhere and all the other parents glaring at us .... oh dear.
Batfink well done of finishing your exams - what a lovely relief.
As for spotting other than some at the beginning of this 'cycle' I have never experienced it previously. The joys I have to come.
Did I mention the 3 year old boot buying meltdown we had this afternoon?

Velvetcu · 13/10/2010 21:35

Jam, I always have and still do spot for around 3 days before AF

I'm on the vino despite protests from DH - its just one glass but a lovely red so I want another. Damn body - wish it would sort itself out!

kat2504 · 13/10/2010 21:02

batfink hope the exam went well - glad you are treating yourself with the vino ;) now enjoy the rest from studying. what were your exams in?

kat2504 · 13/10/2010 21:00

Jamface I only have spotting the day before period starts. Sort of a 12 hour warning. In the 2 periods post mc that has been pretty much the same.

youremindmeofthebat · 13/10/2010 20:50

Oh my god, that does not say teenager.
Looks more like teabagger!

PinkFondantFancy · 13/10/2010 20:50

Oops crossed with you batfink - I'm expecting a seriously good poem now then!!! [grins] - bet you've never seen fanjo in any of the literature you've been studying! Cheers! A few weeks of absinence and wine goes straight to my head. Anyway I'm going to stop monopolising this thread now and get on with watching Southpark properly!

youremindmeofthebat · 13/10/2010 20:48

directed towards jamface, that was Blush

PinkFondantFancy · 13/10/2010 20:47

Hello jam I don't remember spotting before MC before I was on the pill, didn't spot on the pill, and for the first 3 AF after MC I did spot for a few days first, although this time I only got a couple of hours warning before I got full-on AF. I'm gradually learning that a MC seems to mess up all sorts of my body's workings that I'd previously taken for granted :S For example, AF is more clotty than I'd previously noticed, but weirdly although it is v. heavy I've had no cramping this time which is a welcome relief, as I used to get bad cramps even on the pill. Hope that helps! Enjoy your nice glass of wine!

youremindmeofthebat · 13/10/2010 20:46

wine wine wine

youremindmeofthebat · 13/10/2010 20:44

English language and literature degree.

Lol at Southpark. I miss southpark. it reminds me of being a teebager.

Jamface · 13/10/2010 20:43

Quick poll please ladies. Do most of you spot before AF? Did you before mc? Did you spot for a few months and now it's gone back to normal or now that we spot is that it? Been spotting since Sunday. It's gradually building up and I reckon it'll arrive in all its glory tonight/tomorrow. Good reason to crack open the wine methinks and watch the Apprentice Smile

PinkFondantFancy · 13/10/2010 20:34

Nice one batfink, what are you studying for?

Hahahaha Aunt Flo is on Southpark, DH doesn't understand why I find that funny Grin

youremindmeofthebat · 13/10/2010 20:31

Hello!

I'm finished! you wouldn't believe the joy in my heart! I may or may not have fucked up the exam totally, but here's hoping I havent! And now I am off til February! just working, but no studying god I'm so excited.

And my period has virtually stopped, after only 6 days, an improvement by at least 3 days on the last two periods!!

That's a lot of exclaimation marks..

velvet have you POAS?? I'm so excited for that too.

Hugs for AandR's teef.

Lol at nickster's poem, I may have time to write one now!

PinkFondantFancy · 13/10/2010 20:25

Oh also, I got my BBT thermometer but it doesn't work so I've got to send it back :( Sticking with the standard digital one for a bit until have tracked down another. Just so you all know, here's the one I'd avoid: www.amazon.co.uk/DIAGNOSTICS-CENTIGRADE-TEMPERATURE-OVULATION-THERMOMETER/dp/B002HHBB0C/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1286997790&sr=8-5

nickster less chat, get on with it!!! Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 13/10/2010 20:20

Hello all!

Try not to stress about not feeling cheerful at the moment wombat, I think having up days and down days is pretty much par for the course. Hope the GP is helpful tomorrow!

Hugs inbetweener I think you coped with the announcement in a very composed way. Plus you've got hormones going crazy at the moment too! Don't beat yourself up over it, I spend my life in terror that one of my friends will tell me they're pregnant and I won't be able to be gracious about it Blush Glad bleeding is slowing down too.

Eeeek exciting lack of news velvet, change of colour without AF following rapidly behind has to be a good thing. And it's almost Friday!!!! You have got so much willpower, I am v. v. v. impressed. Good news on the DH front too, makes it sooo much easier.

Thanks for cleaning up the list ladybee, there aren't as many of us around here as I thought considering the pace this thread moves at!! :)

choccy you poor thing, you really have been through it over the last few months! Keep an eye on yourself and don't be scared to keep going back to them if you're not getting any better. For what it's worth, I've been feeling a bit pukey for a week or so now, maybe it's some kind of virus going around?

jammy I know exactly how you feel - it's hard living from month to month with the huge peaks and troughs of emotions :( I'm determined to try not to get my hopes up during the 2WW this month but we'll see!!

hugs for AandR, what a horrible day :( Is it worth trying some paracetamol? I know it's not as good but maybe it will take the edge off?

Whoop for nicks, hope DH was obliging today!! Grin Hahahahahahahahahahaha loooooooove the poem :)

apple why are you still at work so late?? Great news on the early scan and helpful dr

I've been hanging around for the Apprentice but so knackered I don't think I'm going to be able to stay awake until 9!! How lame is that! Am feeling much more human today so back to work tomorrow I think!

nickstermum · 13/10/2010 20:18

Therm in the post and ewcm has pretty much disappeared but horny as a goat still Blush TMI so all the other symptoms are there :) give it a go, u never know xx

MummyAbroad · 13/10/2010 20:11

x posts with everyone

Love the poem!! Grin Grin

MummyAbroad · 13/10/2010 20:08

GrinGrinGrin@ Nix's sausage puns

chocky - glad you are OK. I hope Izzy is right and its just that you are a bit run down.

wombat more good luck for the doctors.

Jamface you definitely arent the only one. I've been up and down on this hormonal rollercoaster so many times, now I feel sick and I want to get off!

NickyNix I must remind you about my last ov - it was three days after the positive pee stick, so you are still in with a really good chance, I reckon. Are you temping/checking cervix - or are all efforts being concentrated on the sausage area at the mo? Grin

AandRMum sorry about the teeth and trains and french people Sad
