lolly big hugs so sorry to hear about your m/c and erpc. I know what a shock it is when you thought all was well. You are very brave being back at work so soon. I could not have done it but perhaps the normal routine is something that helps you. Glad to see you on here but sorry that you have had to find us.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/09/2010 23:22

Urbanlolly - sorry it's not usually as fractious as this, these are a fab bunch of girls and you will get loads of support. I'm so sorry you find yourself here Sad I had a completely unexpected mmc at 16 weeks in July and still sometimes have difficulty believing it could have happened to me, so I can understand to some extent what you mean. It's a hard time and, although you wouldn't wish it on anyone, there is some comfort in knowing you're not alone.

nickstermum · 24/09/2010 23:11

Lolly so very sorry for your loss :( and that you find yourself on here. It is comforting! Very much so

YRMOTB re national babyloss week... do you know when it is this year? I sent the link off to my mum, who promptly sent it back and told me that was 09 and when was 10 Confused knowing me i sent the wrong thing!

kat2504 · 24/09/2010 23:05

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/09/2010 22:56

Eeek indeed - xposts nicks and kat and barrenbrook. Personally I don't mind stats or no, I quite like being able to see at a glance where everyone is so I can ask after them at POAS or AF time, but understand they can be a bit stressy, so completely happy to go with majority verdict Smile

barrenbrook · 24/09/2010 22:41

Eek, none of this was expected. No one has hijacked thread, it got busy and we're all in same boat. My rubbish hours at work don't really allow me much time and I couldn't keep up. That's all. I'm sure pv feels the same Smile x

kat2504 · 24/09/2010 22:41

cross posts izzy. Missing in action sounds like quite a good idea if most people want to keep the stats.

kat2504 · 24/09/2010 22:39

I think perhaps newbies (like me) might be more likely to post more often on the threads because it is all new to us but that doesn't mean people who don't post every couple of days should be left off, especially as many have been a great help to us newbies.
There is a good place for the two new splinter threads as we are all in different stages of our ttc journey and the new ones are a good place to talk to people in the same situation as you, but this is the "motherthread" after all.
What is the purpose of the list? we all know our own cycle days after all. We all know who is due to test because a good number of us are inveterate symptom spotters and count down the days till testing time! If getting rid of the list makes more people happy to be on here I'm all for it. I don't mind having a list at all but it does seem to have caused a bit of a prob.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/09/2010 22:37

We could move those who haven't been around for ages into a "missing in action" type section, and ask them to move themselves back up to stats if they want to stay on. Then we could delete that section from the next thread? Just an idea?

nickstermum · 24/09/2010 22:31

To tell you the truth..... i do kind of feel as though we have hijacked your thread and taken over and i have been thinking that for a while, which has caused other threads to be setup (and thats not what anyone wants i dont think)

Maybe we should have some options

!) for us newer ones to setup a different thread

or

  1. to not have a list?

  2. to leave the list as it was?

At the end of the day its supposed to be a support thread for everyone (even though some have been here much much longer than others.. and have been happy for others in the same situation to join in the chat (and it is my dear wish that no one gets to stay on here very long).... its certainly not supposed to be pissing people off or making them want to leave their own thread!..

kat2504 · 24/09/2010 22:23

I propose we re-instate the previous list and perhaps attempt some sort of roll-call during the life of this thread?

nickstermum · 24/09/2010 22:20

oh dear.

Can understand the list amendment pissing off those who have been on here a while. I genuinely dont think that was the intention.

Even though Barrenbrook we havent met, sorry to see you leave.

MamaPower · 24/09/2010 22:17

Fuck this! It was my suggestion to re-think the list based on it being a little out of date!!! However, as per Izzy's message I did suggest roll call. I totally respect the original ttc'ers post mc thread starters, this has been, is and always will be your space that others, like myself, have been invited to join through your kindness and I don't want anyone to leave...that was not the intention. Sorry Sad

kat2504 · 24/09/2010 22:16

thanks izzy am now entertaining myself watching Embarrassing bodies on the tv. Gross!! Very Gross! At least I don't have anything that minging going on inside and the entire nation can't see surgery on my bum on the telly. Really don't understand why people go on this programme!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/09/2010 22:12

wiggle said it better than me!

getawiggleon · 24/09/2010 22:07

PV and Barren I don't think the intention was to dump you off the list, far from it. I think it was meant as more of a role call of sorts, just to see who still checked in - and you both still do.

I'm a relative newbie on here and lurked for a long time when things were moving v quickly as I just couldn't keep up. I'm sure I'd have felt a little upset if I'd been wiped off during that time though. During my lurkiness I've seen tons of v supportive posts from both of you along with others that were mentioned above

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/09/2010 22:03

PV - sorry, I'm also sure no offence was meant (and it certainly wasn't meant by me when I re-posted the list), and I can see your point and definitely want to see you all back on it! There were however people on the list who haven't been around for ages and don't seem to post here anymore so it makes sense to update it. I can't speak for others posting the list but my take on it was that it seemed less mean to start from scratch (ie posters on thus thread) and get everyone to add back in as they post, rather than to pick out specific names to remove. If that makes sense. Anyway I hope you are ok and aren't too pissed off.

Not going to try cutting and pasting everyone back in myself though, make an almighty mess of it whenever I try!

kat (((hugs))) sorry you're having a crap time also. Chin up, enjoy the red.

kat2504 · 24/09/2010 21:47

Gaaaaaaaaaa hope you are all having a better evening than me. DP ridiculously busy with work so home alone apparently working/doing housework but actually having the first proper big cry I have had in well over a fortnight. Why? No bfp announcements amongst friends and family, no uber bump spotting out and about. Nothing to set it off. Thought I was doing ok. Drinking a bottle of red now. Unfortunately no cake about.

Perhaps it is just PMT, which if i can't have a bfp, is at least a reasonable sign of normal cycle.

Just seems out of the blue.

Can understand people feeling a bit miffy about the whole stats thing. Tbh not sure why we really need them. But there is at least one other thread where when a new one is started, only people who have posted on the last one are included. On the other hand this is quite a big thread and we seem to have a new one at least every 3 weeks or so.I'm sure no offense was meant!

barrenbrook · 24/09/2010 21:27

Ooo, it's like being back at school again. Been here for 18 months, 3 mc and then unceremoniously dumped off the list. Merci! Blush

I shall depart as I'm not so familiar with you all now. Good luck to you all and hope you don't end up here too long x

PV have put you and Cheepz back on.

And Jolls, Barrenbrook, Freezing,Digi,Tigger Sarahmia.??

Sorry, actually, it's not for me to say.
I'm just feeling quite fooked orf.

PrettyVacant1 · 24/09/2010 21:06

Er, hello all.
Much as I'm an advocate of up to date lists there are a few long termers that have been on that list for a year or so.
I'm on my iPod so unable to C&P at the mo but could you please add myself and Cheepz back on.
Not being on our list makes me feel like I'm giving up.
Although I'm glad that it was ammended previously to wiping me off, as someone had given me a BFP.

Sorry if I sound like a caah, had a shite day and feeling a tad premenstrual. Sad

Hello to new peeps, you've found a good place with this lot. Smile
Hope your stay is short. X

Woo hoo Starflower made up for you!! X

I'm going to go now as I am in great need of a bottle glass of wine and a cuddle.

Sorry again, hope everyone is well and I'll be back soon x

youremindmeofthebabe · 24/09/2010 20:40

Yes, sillynessGrin I loooove that film. I have a photo on my FB as me dressed as him for an 80's fancy dress.

It's all very busy over here today! as my 2ww is a pointless one, I am partaking in wine. I have also taken DS to the circus. He was terrified by the clowns. I am too, but think that stems from IT.

fx for you then this month, sunchild. At least you've been SWI'ing.

waves to all, hope everyones well.

getawiggleon · 24/09/2010 20:22

Made a mistake when I last updated (added ov day instead of cycle day so will amend)

Stabbing pains in breasts this eve - did someone mention that earlier this month?? Most likely imminent AF though. Boo!
