A&R you have children, are TTC and you still SFF?!?!?!? Shock Envy Confused Grin and your DH believes you?! Gah...

Go on apples do it do it.... there is a run of P's at the min :)

MA great news on the visitors...put your order in for dairy milk too :)

Still spotting huh IZZ perhaps just struggling to get started this month, or could it be.... dare i say it!??!?!?! IP

nickstermum · 05/10/2010 18:09

MA cervix was so high yest i was waving out of my mouth Shock but have figured no point using the opks as i cant hold wee in, courtesy of labour, and end up going several times per night... therefore wee is never concentrated enough! drink less, get thirsty, up even more! Angry

(note to everyone... upon arrival of BFP make sure you do your pelvic floors!!)

Then there is no other answer.... temps it is!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/10/2010 16:20

Hi mummyabroad good to see you again! >

Hope the progesterone sorts you out and AF finally gets herself over to you in the next few days. Also hope you get the answers you want on Thursday x

well, 24 hours later here and still no proper AF, just same on/off spotting. Humph. wombat I daren't even think about possible IB, since I am convinced I am capable of imagining just about any symptom!! Am sure the OB is going to put in an appearance any day now...

MummyAbroad · 05/10/2010 14:48

Hola chicas!

Thanks for asking after me, makes me feel all lurverly and warm Smile

For all of you on the 2WW you have my deepest sympathies, its really horrible! I can report though, that when its over sanity returns in a few days later and normal life resumes. (or you get a BFP, dont know what thats like, but we all want it so I am sure its lurverly Smile )

I am taking progesterone at the moment to bring on AF, its a 10 day course and I am five days in so, I will only start stressing about it on day 11 when AF is supposed to (going to!!!) appear.

My appointment with the lung specialist is on Thursday, cant wait actually, so much bloody waiting and wondering has been driving me nuts! I want answers!

Just had some great news that my family are coming out to visit me for Christmas! Yay! and they are bring Christmas crackers and English tea bags! Grin

Nix are you doing those cheapie OPK's twice a day? (first pee in the morning and "saved up" pee in the afternoon) How about getting your hands dirty and have a feel of the old cervix? Might get some extra clues as to whats going on up there.

Also, I think if you want a "code" if its going to be in true MN fashion you should use acronyms! How about:
HF = Hairy Fairy Grin

big hugs for teacake and AandRmum
welcome back Pink
sorry not to name check everyone else, you are all gorgeous!! Mwah!

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

AandRMum · 05/10/2010 14:38

Think I am going to buy saucy knickers with opk budget in a bid to keep dh's sausage unkinked ... currently keeping him in the dark re cycle in the hope he believes all shags are SFF. Actually I am in the dark re cycle as I am now imagining spotting at all turns and feel like my 21 day clear run to first af is never going to start.

Have no fear wombat SFF post sprogs (and post first 12 couple of sleep deprived months) is just somewhat more efficient!

nick get back to work!

appleblossom small haddock slap - hang in there if you can but all fingers and toes crossed for a bfp

nickstermum · 05/10/2010 13:06

has had enough of cheapie opks.... def was something going on over the weekend but the damn things showed nothing... not a sausage! Even the test line was totally faint!

Oh well..... expensive ones here i come!

Jamface · 05/10/2010 12:45

On my 2WW and symptom spotting like crazy. Does sneezing mean I'm pregnant? Hmmmmm Hmm

appleblossoms · 05/10/2010 11:52

So where are the fish then?? I think I'm about 10dpo today, but this is my first month using opk's and last two cycles have been 34 days and i'm only on 28 today.... so please someone slap me and tell me it's too early to test! I've sore boobs and the odd cramp, but i've had that every cycle so far...and I promised myself I wouldn't test till AF was late - arrrrggghhh! the 2ww is rubbish!!

Welcome back PFF and tigger, can't remember if you guys left before I first posted but I'd been stalking watching this thread for a while before I actually joined. Fx the test was too early pink...

What have you ladies been talking about?! Broken sausages, dirty stories, I don't know... anyone would think we're obsessing over something Hmm

tunnocks and AandR how are you doing lovelies? Been thinking of you both, the early days are the toughest.

mummya how you holding up dearest? Will be thinking of you this week. fx you get some answers bout your lungs... and any news on AF??

waves to everyone else...hope you're having a good week.

nickstermum · 05/10/2010 11:20

fondant (we misssed you) am a fan of solgar, has higher levels of everything you need apparently. Highly recommended by by nutritionist. Sorry for the bloody fucking negative, hoping its too early.

nickstermum · 05/10/2010 11:10

I too was worried about obsessive behaviour > but then decided it sure beats reality TV and ironing!

nickstermum · 05/10/2010 11:08

Grin Grin Grin Grin

PPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

YEAH! your'e back..... WOO HOOOOOOOO!

Wombat33 · 05/10/2010 10:55

Ooh, more posts - Hi Ladybee - yep, I'd like to feel the pressure was off too and I know my DH would. Still, I don't think that will actually happen until we have little people. And then I'm lead to believe we'll be lucky to have any sex life left Grin

Welcome back Pink fx it's just a matter of time for the BFP.

Wombat33 · 05/10/2010 10:50

Mummya Hello lurker. How are you doing? Is it this Thurs your lung specialist appointment? Hope it goes okay and you are feeling alright about everything. I take it still no AF?

Izzy pants about the spotting. Hummph. Not implantation by any chance?

Tunnocks good luck with the doc. I think mine's a bit the same about examining. Maybe I'll ask for a lady doc too.

Hi to Nicks, Velvet, Kat, AandRmum, yrmotb, tiigger and anyone else I've missed.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/10/2010 09:32

Hi tigger - pleased to hear life is less stessful without the pressure Smile. Hopefully the lack of stress will actually help with the bfp too

pinkfondant Sad for the bfn. What sort of test did you use and do you know how many dpo you are? Maybe it's just too early/not sensitive enough? Fx the bfp will come! (and if it doesn't then you're not alone, there are a few mad cycles on here at the minute!)

LadyBee · 05/10/2010 09:25

Hello pink nice to have you back! Glad you discovered we're just a symptom of the obsession and not the cause.

Good lord woman what are doing to the poor man that results in such injuries?

nicks if any further mention sausage-porn is made I may have to leave, I'm a lady dontchaknow

PinkFondantFancy · 05/10/2010 08:30

Oops sorry for double post!

PinkFondantFancy · 05/10/2010 08:29

Hello ladies!! After a few weeks' break from mumsnet I am back!! I thought it was making me obsess about ttc but turns out that it's me that's making me obsess!! I wasn't gone for that long but you're on a while new thread with 18 pages already!! Eek! So I haven't been able to read back through properly but:

izzy I'd been using pregnacare too but have been told by a couple of people that they are a bit pants and solgar pre natal is a lot better apparently. So I bought some but then remembered I've got about 18 months supply of pregnacare left from all the buy 2 get 1 free sprees I've been on! Oops!

teacake sorry you're here and that you're not feeling very well :( I hope the dr is helpful today!

nickster haha sausage :) I broke my hisband's sausage again this month!! Oops! He's definitely going off the swi idea these days!!

So after two cycles of 28 days, I'm on day 30 with a host of very convincing symptoms and a negative test this morning. Gaaaaah what is going on??!?!

It would be Bee thats for sure :)
Tigger... interested which homeo rems you are taking for your cycle, good that its lengthened!

If i am gonna post some i-p*rn we need to find coded names for items of the body

ie - sausage = willy

otherwise i will ended up being booted off here!!!

Will have a look later when i get bored with work Grin Grin

LadyBee · 04/10/2010 23:23

Oh well that sounds pretty good, as far as getting AF goes Tigger, forgive the curiousity but have you found that you & DH are wanting to do the deed more/less/not at all now that the pressure is off?

Sorry, I start thinking about the effect all this ttc stuff has on our relationship around this time (i.e. when we're in the middle of the shag fest) each month. I think because my friend who is having IUI has always known that she wouldn't conceive naturally, so sex in her relationship has Never been about ttc. I just can't even imagine what that is like now. I guess when this stage of our lives is over it will return to being SFF again.

Also, I guess for me, the first half of the cycle is always the optimistic, reasonably happy side, but with underlying stress about the sex. Whereas the last half is reasonably relaxed about sex but underlying stress about whether we've conceived. Would be nice to reach a point when underlying stresses weren't around, wouldn't it?

On that note, I'm off to bed to read a book Wink

tigger15 · 04/10/2010 20:24

RTD came for me today but am still in a good mood as

  1. I wasn't trying: and
  2. My cycle has gone up from 24 to 29 which is what it used to be pre-miscarriage so maybe my homeopathic stuff is finally doing the trick.

thanks for the twix. Quite nice! Have you got any Twirls?

Boyfriend has just booked lovely holiday for us in three weeks time. Mega shame it will not be the "right time" as four nights in a hotel would have definitely yielded results. Having said that the last one was a result of a romantic city break so perhaps better not to repeat that method,eh? Looking forward to my half term trip at any rate!

MummyAbroad · 04/10/2010 19:33

Hello again (not much good at lurking am I?Grin)

I took red clover blossom,

pros: I think it made me ovulate

cons:

  1. I scoured the internet and couldnt find any creditable "science" for it (unlike AC, which has proper studies you can read)

  2. Says everywhere not to be used while pregnant so you should only take it for the first half of your cycle

  3. I have the most f*ked up cycle out of everyone on this thread! So for gods sake dont do anything I did!! ha haha! Grin

go on then, you can share my some of my secret chocolate stash!

youremindmeofthebabe · 04/10/2010 19:27

velvet cycle buddy, I feel PMT-y. I think this months is not my month.. But well done you!

nicks I want a C&P, please. When you're not too busy though. I could do with some amusement. I was going to say i could do with some light releif, but that just sounds really wrong..

teacake hope you feel a sense of achievement, the first day back is 'orrible.

Waves to all, going to watch the inbetweeners, as it appeals to my infantile sense of humour.
