I could have sworn I'd posted on this last night, but evidently I haven't. And I only had a large glass of wineConfused

nickster the end is in sight! in approximately 12 hours you will be at home with DH and DS! I feel your pain, I have only had tonsilitis twice before, but it is horrible and really hurts.

Good luck today mummya Fx for you.

apple I am befuddled too, try another OPK today maybe, and if it still positive, then it could be a sign of something better.

Despite the fact I have virtually had no SWI this month, I have still tested! BFN. Although it aint all over till the OB sings.

There is an article on preseed on one of the TTC threads, it contains a publication called Two Week Wait.. will try and find the link as it contains research!

Sadly fondant GPs arent much help at all with these things! (IMHO) I had a bacterial infect inside 3 weeks and i am still trying to get the gp to speak to me on the phone to discuss it, !! Gah! When i asked about my continuing zits post MC i was just told to buy clearasil. Maybe if they looked to the route cause of things, rather than treating the symptoms we may get on a little better - SORRY RANT OVER :)
Grumpy - i have white spots on my tonsil beds :( No tonsils, but tonsilitis twice this year :(

I had wanted to organise my friends collection, and it was fine... or so i thought!!

PinkFondantFancy · 07/10/2010 06:25

nicks huge hugs-I think we've all been there, like Iz says, you think you're fine then it just comes over you! You were v brave for organising to do the presentation-you are much stronger than me, I freak at the thought of friends announcing pg, let alone going out to buy baby clothes for them....

So, I know nuffink about pelvic floor, except for what I learned from an episode of embarrassing bodies-there was a lady with a similar problem and they gave her these kind of weighted metal balls that you put inside you, and the effort of holding them in while standing works your pelvic floor muscles. So she built up the amount of time she used them from a couple of minutes, to while she was vacuuming and then longer etc etc and it worked a treat!

I'll check out pre seed, thanks for tip! I'm so peeved that gp doesn't tell you any of this stuff. When I went to say I'm planning to stop the pill, what should I do, he just said "stop the pill, take folic acid, have unprotected sex, everything will be fine". FFS if only.......

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/10/2010 23:51

((( nicks ))). Scary how it creeps up on you sometimes isn't it Sad

nickstermum · 06/10/2010 23:51

Mais non.... sadly holed up in a brissle hotel room at the min, having been with work colleagues down here since 10am,,, only just got respite! Shagged. off to MK tomorrow then home to see DH... not seen him since last night :(

I-Porn still on the agenda, just need to find the time... :)

MA how can you not like Marmite?!? Even my DS age 3 loves it :)

MummyAbroad · 06/10/2010 23:46

big hugs for you Nix

and there was me thinking you were off translating the porn for us...

Lutenising Hormone which is detected by an Ovulation Predictor Kit. You wee on a stick and it tells you if it detects this hormone or not. This hormone is "usually" released 12-36 hours before ovulation so it can help you time your SWI (sex with intent) However its not fool proof, sometimes its only detectable for a short while so you might have to do two tests a day to catch it (again, cheaper on Amazon!) also stress can delay ovulation, so you could get the surge but not ovulate for days after (this happened to me, I could tell because I didnt get fertile quality pant snot and a temperature rise until three days after)

Also, and here is the kicker, the test can also detect pregnancy!! Actually I dont know if this is fact or myth, I learned this from MN. Anyone got any evidence to back this up?

nickstermum · 06/10/2010 23:40

GOOD god. I go away for the day and look what happens... how busy :) Hi chattermonsters :)

Where to start, where to start....?!?

carib fab news - so pls for you!
Any news hairy?
Fondant Mr Nicks sausage is now all better although we only managed to swi once! Still once has been enough before, doubtful this time!! Will see. I have considered FM but am not sure... maybe the act of simply buying one will guarantee a BFP!? Cos you keep breaking the sausage, have you tried pre-seed? Loob! Everything else supposedly damages sperm, even saliva Blush sorry TMI

Bee EGGY?!?!?!? Grin better than fishy i spose ha ha!....and to the point!

purple sorry you are on here. We met on the other thread. Its totally shit, try again as and when you and only you feel ready. Natural MC means your body will get back to normal quicker. Guidelines at my hosp are 1 month, but thats only to date a pg'cy. I did TTC during WTF but didnt seem to ov, or if i did i had a 7 day LP. My af turned up about 4 ish weeks after MC. I waited til bleed stopped and BFN before DTD

Mamap sorry your gp was such a cow. some women! Good your levels ok. What now?

Izzy sorry the old bitch got you :( Angry and fondant velvet hoping you get a bfp very soon :) white pant snot wasnt a sign for me, i usually get that post ov! How are the nipps and veins? Any? My boobs were scary today actually, OV ish i think but my boobs always change around fertile time! Scary veins anyway, but am certain my nips always change shape/colour around fertile time! Random.

Bee YRMOTB Mmm birth for me was difficult and hence why when i do a cervix check it feels open, am sure it was damaged!! Pelvic floors are buggered, cant hold it at all!

Hmmm let me tell you about my day! Had a big meet today with colleagues and peers. Had arranged for presentation to heavily preg friend, had co-ordinated, gone out and bought baby stuff, it got presented to her then i just had a major melt down in front of 5 people who dont know!!!! couldnt stop it - sobbing :( just touched a nerve ! Mental-ness. Other than that, good day. Confused Trying not to think about OV and wot not.

Catch up tomorrow, monster day again :( so i will catch up when i get a spare hour!!

Purplebuns · 06/10/2010 23:35

Hi, this thread moves very quickly! Just a quick post before bed... I just wanted to confirm that when I was first pregnant I had this mysterious heavy pant snot to... One of my first symptoms Wink

Also Pant snot.... yuck. But funny. :)

Also what is LH? And OPK?

MummyAbroad · 06/10/2010 23:27

My, thats tough one, but if Ov says the weekend and cycle says tuesday, either way its not today! No point in HPT because if its BFN you wont be able to believe it (technically still too early)

Maybe another OPK is allowed tomorrow though? (My LH surge disappeared in a matter of hours, so if its NOT LH surge, it might still be there....?)

MummyAbroad · 06/10/2010 22:28

ooooh, nice one Pink fingers firmly crossed xxx

Thanks for all the well wishes, you really are a lovely supportive bunchSmile My appointment is at 5.30pm which is way past your bedtimes over in English land (12.30am?)

So, you will be hearing from me lots before then! xxxxxxxxxxxx

appleblossoms · 06/10/2010 22:25

Just a quickie before bed...excuse the layout, am on my phone.
purple welcome, sorry you've had to find us but it is a lovely place to be. Wrt waiting or not waiting, I had a lovely doctor who pointed out that waiting a cycle can put you in a much better place emotionally to deal with the whole TTC situation. Sex post mc can be pretty emotional too...just to warn you!
cariboo fantastic news! Am so SO pleased... What an encouragement to us lot. :)
mummya I don't know when to poas

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/10/2010 22:21

How exciting - am hoping we're in for another round of bfps!!!! >

PinkFondantFancy · 06/10/2010 22:18

Velvet me too me too!!!!!!! It started a few days ago and has carried on since then and, TMI alert, I keep thinking AF has started but when I check, it's just more snot...... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkk everything crossed for us!!

Good luck tomorrow mummya.

Right I'm off to do some "legs up the wall" yoga pose which is supposed to be good for girl bits in some way, although I have no clue how or why - never mind still worth a punt I reckon!! Night all xx

Wombat33 · 06/10/2010 22:10

Ooooh exciting exciting!!! Go Velvet!!

Good luck for tomorrow muummya! We'll all be thinking of you! What time is your appointment (BST) so that we can send supportive vibes?

AandRMum · 06/10/2010 22:07

How long are we hanging out for velvet?

kat2504 · 06/10/2010 22:06

thick white snot? When I was first pg, even the day before i got bfp, I came down with a touch of thick white thrush like stuff. Which i normally only get on strong antibiotics. It is more usual to be dryer at that time of the month.....fingers crossed!!

MummyAbroad · 06/10/2010 21:57

thick white pant snot is a Sign. I'll put a fiver to win on Velvet being up the duff Smile

kat2504 · 06/10/2010 21:31

mummyabroad will also be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope you have lots of hugs to get through the day, I'm sure it will be a difficult one for you.

Velvetcu · 06/10/2010 21:28

Hi all

Purple - sorry you are here :( i waited for first cycle so that i knew i was functioning properly down there. I too had a 9 week WTF cycle but that was after ERPC.

Good news Caribou!

No I havent cracked yet! Absolutely no sign of AF but I dont want to get my hopes up! Have some symptoms but dont want to think about it! One unusual one - had some very thick white pant snot today. Any explanations?

MummyAbroad · 06/10/2010 21:06

Izzy

Blush Blush Blush Dr appt and fertility specialist acupuncturist definitely better move than asking people on MN!Blush Just goes to show how addicted I have become, that is the first thing I thought of! Blush

kat2504 · 06/10/2010 21:05

PFF yes if you buy a cbfm, you do need to start it on cd1, apparently that is quite important. I haven't cracked yet but have started browsing ebay! Once I am 2 cycles done post mc (like the guidelines for it say) I may well be POAS every day! There seemed to be a lot going cheaper on ebay and you can get the sticks cheaper on the internet too.

PinkFondantFancy · 06/10/2010 21:03

Thanks owly thats good, less of a panic if it rocks up at an inconvenient time! where you going on hols??
