Afternoon all!!
It's been very busy here whilst I have been away!

100 Massive congratulations. So exciting. Echoing the calls for details on the proposal and ring etc etc

I am loving how happy and luck this train is - makes me wonder what the next train has in store for us.....

AC and Bebe happy belated birthdays, nice to see a few Scorpios on the trai!!!

Have skim read everybody's posts but my memory is dreaadful so can't remember half of them.

Quodlibet · 09/11/2010 13:11

Just popping on quickly to say CONGRATULATIONS 100!

Also happy belated birthdays AC and Bebe.

And lastly, thought for the day, if Ed Miliband can take over as leader of the opposition and cope with having a baby about a month later, ALL of our prevaricating DH/DPs are being wimps.

(Squirrel yes, thank you, the car key was returned in a game of International Car Key Relay via about 4 people, and we went away and had an awesome weekend. An enormous amount of partying was done "The last one we have before we all have children on the scene" as someone pointed out. Have just about recovered today.)

WYorksLass · 09/11/2010 12:34

Wow, congratulations 100!!!
I'm so excited for you :0

This is definitely a very lucky train :)

Managed to hold off my cold long enough to enjoy my birthday, but feel like death today! :( Hardly slept & have a really busy day today! DD has a better social life than I do!

100 - Yes, we need details! How/When/Ring?

Squirrel - When did the MW move the appt too? Bet it will be here beofre you knwo it!

Nannyl - well done! Can you pass some dieting mojo my way? I seem to have lost mine!

Yay 100years :) what exciting news, this is turning out to be a lucky train full of good news! I second AC, details please!

Great news about the weight loss nannyl, I don't think the occasional desert makes a huge difference to your weight long term, and you can't deny yourself all the time.

bebe good to hear your family are onto your DH about babies! Maybe you need to get your mum talking to him too :) glad you had a nice birthday too.

AC and bebe I am quite relieved to have talked to the MW and have an earlier appt. Still petrified (in fact, had a mini breakdown in front of DH yesterday Blush) but I am slowly getting used to the idea. The combination of tiredness and hunger makes me grumpy normally, so combined with the hormones I think I'm far worse than usual!

AmandaCooper · 08/11/2010 21:38

Wow 100years congratulations! Tell us more: how did he propose? Have you got a sparkler?

100years · 08/11/2010 20:45

Thank you much :)

nannyl · 08/11/2010 20:44

wow

just popping in quickly

HUGE congratulations 100 years Smile and happy birthday bebe

I weighed myself this morning and have lost 4lb since last week Shock Smile (though was only 2ib lighter yesturday morning and lost 2lb yesturday so not convinced)
but have just been taken out for a yummy 3 course dinner and had a snickers tyoe gataux for pud Blush so will be happy to loose 1 lb this coming week!
(did have melon for starter though and chose an unfattening meal (in a giant portion) and drank water)

bebejones · 08/11/2010 20:28

Congratulations 100!!!!!! :o

Hello everyone.

Far too much for me to catch up on, I did have a quick read through, but I have 5 days worth of lots of things to read through.

Had a flipping fantastic holiday :o and.........

I got engaged :o :o :o :o :o

I really do get to keep him forever :)

Not planning any date at the moment, hopefully we will have a bambino next year and buy a house, that's enough for now. I think we will look at planning after bambino arrives.

He calls me his future wife. Woohoo

bebejones · 08/11/2010 20:03

Evening train! :)

Had a brilliant birthday! :o DH, DD & I went to Weston to see the new pier. Had a great time watching DD on a couple of little rides & we all had chips on the sea front for lunch! Was a beautiful day (after a wet & windy start) we had blue skies & sunshine & it didn't feel like November at all when we were sat on the pier! :)

Squirrel - Glad things are sorted now, must be a weight off your mind! I'd have been petrified of having to book my own scan! But I am a complete wuss when it comes to things like that! :o

Saw my SIL today and she was nagging me & DH about having another baby & how it would be good for DD! Hmm Tried to change the subject coz I could see it was making DH uncomfortable! If only she knew it wasn't me she has to convince! Wink

AmandaCooper · 08/11/2010 18:20

Well it's been a bit slow on here! How has your day been Bebe?

Squirrel I'm glad you've managed to get something sorted out. Each step in the process must be a weight off your mind. How are you feeing about it all now it's happening?

squirrel007 · 08/11/2010 10:23

Sounds like a nice Birthday AC :)

And happy birthday bebe! Have a lovely day

I phoned the midwife earlier who has moved my first appointment forward to next week, and is also sending out info about booking the scan today. Sounds like I ring up the hospital myself and book, so at least I can do that this week or next now instead of waiting till 1 Dec and worrying!

AmandaCooper · 08/11/2010 07:43

Oh and happy birthday for today, Bebe!!

AmandaCooper · 08/11/2010 07:42

Thanks for all the birthday wishes girls. DH took me for a lovely meal. We had plenty of wine flowing and talked a lot about having a baby. I feel sure it won't be much longer now. Bebe we just need to get your DH on board and then we can all go together!

nannyl · 07/11/2010 21:10

ocado do £15 off 1st order (over £75) too

squirrel007 · 07/11/2010 20:58

whywait think I really only have one choice of hospital, but as far as I know it's got a good reputation.

jbells do you have an Asian supermarket nearby? They will almost certainly have rice wine (never heard it referred to as 'brown rice wine' before though) but make sure it's not rice wine vinegar which is also common :) If you can't find rice wine, sherry is probably an ok substitute. Also I have seen star anise in my local supermarkets with all the other spices so maybe you will find it if you look. I just looked on Ocado and they have both, but I think they have a minimum £40 order so maybe not suitable for you unless you want to order other stuff too.

bebejones · 07/11/2010 20:49

Just quickly - JBells - try a biggish waitrose or a sainsbury's perhaps?!

Squirrel - When I had my booking in appt with my MW, she booked my scan with the hospital & I got sent the appt through the post a few days later. I think the 'procedure' varies depending on where you live.

Might give the OPKs a go after next AF. Hmm

OP posts:
nannyl · 07/11/2010 20:42

jbells have you tried waitrose / ocado?

they are good at less than normal ingrediants

jbells · 07/11/2010 19:42

I don't mind you being nosy whywait! I was suspicious because I wasn't feeling PMTish at all, even 4 weeks after having the coil out. And the other giveaway was that my bras were all too small, but I did wonder if I'd only just noticed because I'd been paying more attention lately to possible pg symptoms. So I did one test and it was negative. But then a few days later still no AF so I tested again and it came up faintly positive. In hindsight I can put the hunger and tiredness down to being pg, but I do think I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't looking out for symptoms.

Not sure when I will find out scan date - I assume it'll be after seeing the midwife but that's not till 1 Dec.
