Bebe - yes, me and probably all of you too! I shall cease and desist immediately.

Quodlibet · 23/09/2010 20:35

Oh Nannyl I'm sorry to hear that, it must be very difficult to deal with, and especially being so far away. Lovely of your mum that she is still there to help support him though. Sending best wishes out to your family.

bebejones · 23/09/2010 20:27

Nannyl - that sounds awful, poor you :( Really hope that you can find a way for him to be comfortable & cared for

Quod - Dinner on the train tonight is:
Chicken Parfait & toast
Melon & prosciutto salad
Pan fried salmon with green beans
Summer fruit pavlova
I just do the food, although maybe Jake & George could do a strip for us all...that'd be entertaining! Wink

STOP SYMPTOM SPOTTING!! You will drive yourself mad! Wink

just popping in quick as should be packing and sorting studd for weekend

*quod" how exciting, keep us posted.
JS good luck for tomorrow, have everything crossed for you!
bebe wow these meals you cook us are yummy, thanks!

Nothing exciting happened here...

Not quite sure whats up with my dad, looks like he could have had another mini stroke? Sad... his mental abilities have decreased so much in the past 2 weeks, and in the past month or so he has gone from being fine-ish, to needing a carer once everyday to now not even being able to work out how to make a bowl of cereal or how to go to bed, so has a carer in at least twice a day, and this time last week we were wondering of he could even live at home anymore...

being his next of kin 250 miles away (and my sister in vietnam!) it was all very upsetting and stressful, but thankfuly my mum (his ex wife, who lives round the corner) has been fab and he seems to be stable again...
he will never get better, just trying to slow down his decline which has become very sudden recently Sad

thanks for all the good wishes though Smile

Quodlibet · 23/09/2010 19:56

GEORGE! JAKE! I'D LIKE A STIFF CAIPIRINHA PLEASE!

Oh blimey JS, can't believe you're still on tenterhooks. How frustrating.

Still on tenterhooks myself here as AF still hasn't arrived - day 28 was a week ago now! Had very very very slight brown spotting this morning (and actually felt quite relieved Confused) but it hasn't developed into anything. Hmmm. Have had pre-menstrual bloated feeling since Monday and have also been feeling strangely lightheaded/dizzy a lot since then too, but no sore boobies which I always usually get a couple of days before AF.

Hark at me! (gives self good shake). Only been off the pill a month but already have turned into crazy gusset-rummaging symptom spotter. This doesn't bode well for anyone's sanity ladies. I've never had a late period before and it is flaming distracting!

What's on the menu for tonight Bebe? And what scenery are we to be passing through? Do we have any entertainment booked?

Nannyl how is your dad?

bebejones · 23/09/2010 19:47

Dinner is served!! (A little late coz DD didn't want to go to bed!)

WYorks - how exciting about wedding! Counting down the days!!

Sushi shall be served for dinner 2moro! Hmm JBells - I shall think of something scrummy for you!

I have sooooooooooo much packing to do, so probably ought to go and get on with it...going to watch Eastenders first though!

Need to find my broadband dongle as well or else I shall be internetless for over a week!! Confused

Js- booo to waiting how annoying especially when u have prob been on tenderhooks all day

BEBE- im a glass half empty person most the time i think to, sometimes it works out better as your not disapointed bout stuff

ive been thinking bout taking DD to a puddleducks swimming class but there 10 pound a lesson they dont do these things cheap

jbells · 23/09/2010 19:34

hi all, hope everyones ok

strawberry- i cant have sushi, cud i have a cooked alternative please :) exciting and nervewracking to start new job these next 2 and a half wks will fly by

Wyorks- very exciting for your wedding bet your counting down the days, u will have to put a pic up of your big day, i dont know whether its a good thing or a bad thing that MN doesnt put lil profile pics up to who u talking to sometimes u get to know people really well and it wud be nice to put a face to the name if u know what i mean

strawberrypie · 23/09/2010 19:16

Hope things are ok with your Dad nannyl xx

last jab tomorrow bebe! YAAY! :)
I bet you will feel like to are finally starting off down the road to baby number 2 after tomorrow!

I think the delay is a good sign JS.....it has got to mean that they have not just plumped for the inside man (the temp). It is horrible waiting though, especially when you are so keen to get away from the BFH!

I have only got two and a half weeks left in my current job, can't wait to start the new one!

Please can we have sushi for supper tomorrow bebe? :)

WYorksLass · 23/09/2010 16:50

To be honest i can't remember what 'normal' was like i've been on the pill for so long! However, i did have a withdrawl bleed and then a 'proper' period about 25 days later. So, assuming my cycle is around 25 days then it's due in the next day or 2 which fits with my moodiness and sore bits Wink

Yep, think we're pretty sorted for the wedding .

Anyway, i am now off to drink lots of beer while i still can. Have a good night all.

WW - DSD doesn't live with us all the time but we have her once midweek and every other weekend. Fortunately we get on very well. She was 5 (now 8) when we got together so quite a good age. I do find it quite tricky sometimes but we manage ok.

I came off the pill in August and we are going to start TTC at the end of Nov, after our wedding. So double excitement :)

bebejones · 23/09/2010 16:11

JS - how annoying! But maybe they chose the temp & they turned it down or majorly cocked something up, it might not be a bad thing!

WW - Nothing really, i was just whinging because it's always me that has to remind DSD to brush her hair and clean her teeth and put her shoes on. I was rushing around like a nutter getting ready this morning and when i came down at the time we always leave the 2 of them were watching telly and not ready, grrrrrr. I know it's only minor and to be fair he sorted her brekkie and did the packed lunches, it's just PMT i reckon!
Fortunately we haven't argued about ttc, we are both in agreement about when we will start. In fact it was him who suggested i come off the pill to let my body get back to normal.

Grrr for you JSFN, i despise waiting, especially for important stuff like that :(

JustShaggingForNow · 23/09/2010 13:19

Just had an email from the recruitment girl about the job:

"I'm afraid that we aren't going to know the outcome of this until tomorrow. * has informed me that they are still deciding, having come back in this morning from yesterdays decision. He didn't say anymore than this despite my probing.
Unfortunately this means we will have to wait until close of play tomorrow"

ARGH!!!!! I think I am going to go mad waiting to hear back from them.

lol bebe, i'm just the same and my OH is always having a go. Apparently if i have such a negative attitude nothing good will happen!

bebejones · 23/09/2010 12:50

Oh yes, Bristol buses are bloody awful!!! USed to take me 2 buses (well over an hour) to get to University from home, when I could drive it took 15mins!!

I'm sure something will turn up JS!

WW - That does seem like a sensible idea, waiting to test. Fingers crossed for you!

Haven't thought about dinner yet...Hmm
Chicken Parfait & toast
Melon & prosciutto salad
Pan fried salmon with green beans
Summer fruit pavlova

I'm definitely a glass half empty person! If you expect the worse you can never be disappointed Hmm DH is always having a go at me for that! :o

Just been to see my friend & her 2 week old baby! Soooooooo cute....WANT ONE!

Ahhhhh - just had a text from my colleague who is on maternity leave. She gave birth yesterday evening to a little girl called Lily. SmileEnvySmile

WYorksLass · 23/09/2010 12:46

Congratulations on your news JBells, that's great :)

WW things sound promising for you, i've got my fingers crossed. Hopefully your finances will be sorted soon.

Bebe, great news that it's all systems go!

Thanks for the gorgeous brekkie (and waiters!) this morning, it was fab.

My OH is impossible to argue with, he usually ignores me until i stop ranting then we talk about it calmly later. I know it's the best thing but it really winds me up, daft i know! I'm bad enough with PMT so dread to think what preggie hormones will do to me. I've already warned him and apologised well in advance so should be ok :)

squirrel007 · 23/09/2010 12:43

Forgot to say, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you js :)
