Starlight I think you need to schedule a meeting with him. Get him to agree to a time to sit down at the table and discuss it. It sounds mad I know!

No I don't much fancy the pg and baby stages either, although I may of course feel different if -it ever-- when it happens.

jbells · 27/09/2010 17:54

starlight- u sound like me altho i am pg i am not looking forward to the rest of pregnancy or birth, or the whole baby stage agen just really want 2 kids with small age gap that can play together DD is 17 months now and i think its a really nice stage, will be willing the next one to get past 12 months lol, dont know y im just not a baby baby person but love toddlers, and kids

amummyinwaiting · 27/09/2010 17:47

Hello everyone!Hi new ladies!
Well no snuggles last night as had big row with dh. Nothing serious just me annoyed at him watching tv when I'd made nice dinner, him going on and on about what an aful area I'm going to be working in (I'm a family support worker on a fip project so working in a shit area of the town I live in) then me ranting that the ex-council house, child of a single pregnant woman should come own from his ivory tower Blush
then he starte whinging that his back hurt (we currently have no sofa's as we are having our new ones delivered tommorow)
so bit of a shit night but much apologising and all fine now.
Woke up toay (day 17 which is the longest I have managed without spotting since resumed periods) feeling heavy and cramping but no period. think means its on its way though :(

Hi ladies,
Can I join you? Have just caught up with your thread and think I've found my virtual home if you'll have me?!
Think I'll be playing the waiting game until well into next year though, as DH in no hurry to try for our first and still enough of a child himself to be invited round his friend's on Saturday to 'play' (computer games.
PS. Blueberry pancakes. 'Mazing. Maybe some crispy bacon on the side?

JustShaggingForNow · 27/09/2010 11:57

morning All!
It sounds like some nice weekends were had by all on here. I had a very relaxed one and tried to get over this damn cold (which is still lingering, I blame the BFH for guilting me into coming into work when i was ill)

Quod ? phew that AF arrived (albeit a little late). I remember the feeling when mine was late and I think it really makes you think long and hard about if you are ready or not. Maybe it?s mother nature?s way of keeping the broodiness in check?!?!?

Bebe ? Hurrah that the last job is out of the way but it sucks that it was so painful. Hope that you?re having a lovely holiday with DD and hopefully DH will be joining you soon and have a chance to relax and put his work to one side for a few days.

100years ?

jbells · 27/09/2010 10:59

hey all

welcome starlight

well its official u shudnt watch xfactor when pregnant and hormonal lol

hope everyones well

bebe- thats poo that weather is rubbish, its always nice to be asked if your over a certain age :)

great news that a few people OH's r jumping onbard, and as for broken contraception lol, well guess we will all wait impatiently to see wot happens :)

bebejones · 27/09/2010 10:10

Wrote a longish catch up post last night & the internet crashed when I tried to post it. Angry Can't remember what I said now! Hmm

Hooray for on board/supportive OHs
Boooo for ACs crappy Persona
Confused for 'broken' contraception!!

Welcome Starlight! :)

Weather here is horrid so we aren't really doing much, got asked if I was under 25 by a little old lady at the gate at a NT place ysterday...I was driving, & had my toddler & my mum with me Hmm I know I'm not that far past 25, but was still odd to be asked! :o

Should feel so 'real' now I've stopped my jabs, but don't think it's going to sink in properly until Friday when I don't have to do one!

Hi starlight oh by all means join us you are very welcome. Waiting to ttc due to dithering is still bona fide waiting - and anyway we have recently diversified, pretty much anything goes! I expect you've seen sone of the rest of the thread, so you'll know that some of us are actively trying, some are erm accidentally trying, some are upduffed as our BESH neighbours would say.

So we have yet another DH who won't talk about it on our hands, eh? So does he just grunt when you mention ttc and change the subject or what?

nannyl · 26/09/2010 20:48

sounds like you are the perfect candidate to join us!!! Smile

welcome starlight

we are waiting until we are allowed / the time is right / we have convinced our OHs that we want to have a baby.

ie we know we want a baby but for whatever reason are not trying yet!

it took me a few minutes to understad what you meant when you said contraception broke! Grin
Sure you will be fine although super sperm does make me laugh! You could bottle it! A family I work with, the men only have to look at women and they get pregnant. We call them the superspermers!
Curry was good although think sauce could have been a bit thickrer- bombay poatatoes scrummy. dh just washing up then I think we will be snuggling up in bed to watch tv....Wink we are getting new sofas delivered on tuesday so are sitting on coushions on the floor at mo....well thats the exscuse I'm using to dh anyway!

AmandaCooper · 26/09/2010 16:53

The magic thread strikes again!

AmandaCooper · 26/09/2010 16:53

Oh dear!

nannyl · 26/09/2010 16:45

Hello all... just checking in Smile

am back from a weekend away at friends wedding which was just lovely, despite driving nearly 600miles this weekend!

all went perfect apart from (grrr).. we have been very good and very careful this month after last month... anyway i had +ve OPK on Friday, and Saturday, and Saturday afternoon, in the hotel, just before we went to wedding, umm our contraception broke Blush... I think we realised in time, and definitely do NOT feel pg at all, but it would be just my luck to one super sperm made it through, grrr, so another 2ww, i think, but refusing to stress this time (so i say now)

JS so sorry you didnt get the job Sad lets hope something even more perfect comes up soon

bebe very excited about last jab... makes it all even more real now i guess?

AmandaCooper · 26/09/2010 16:35

Am impressed with the curry banquet plan! Our attempts as curry so far have all been a bit meh.

Now I've got the Persona I might as well use it. In my excitement upon its arrival I got it out of the box and took the labels off, so I'd have to sell it second hand and I'd lose most of the money anyway, so I may as well give it a go. Once I've got over the teething problems it could turn out to be really good, so we'll see.

Might it be a fertile day? Better give DH a flash of those sexy leggings!

amummyinwaiting · 26/09/2010 15:26

It sounds a bit crap to me. You could always sell it on ebay-get your money back and buy somthing nice for yourself :)
Do you think you will use it? If you are not happy with it/its stressing you out then dont bother with it.
I'm back from supermarket now- going to hav a go at bombay potatoes for the first time to go with the curry banquet I'm preparing. Going to try to woo dh just once more while I'm in the right section of cycle :)
Choc chip cookies sound yummy!I bought a profiterole pyramid so I dont think I can pass it off as my own!
I bought leggings for the first time since I was about eight today to go under a short dress I had for my birthday- still not sure whether I look good in them or like a fat slob :(

AmandaCooper · 26/09/2010 13:24

Yes I don't particularly recommend Persona. First you have to wait two full natural cycles (i.e. withdrawal bleed after coming off the pill, followed by 2 visits from AF before you can start using it, then it takes a few cycles for the machine to get used to your hormone pattern and start being useful. If you need to take oral antibiotics or contraception then you have to start over again! And lots of people on MN report getting pg while using it even after following all the instructions to the letter. I thought it would be a good back up system for FAM though, rather than our only method of contraception.

Today is housework day, although I am currently in the bath with a packet of hair dye on my head, so not really got very far. I've done the veg and Yorkshire pudding mix for dinner and I've knocked up a batch of choc chip cookies!
