AC - sorry I didnt get back to you last night. Was feeling very rough and had to go to bed. Af came back with a vengance last night after having nothing all through the day so had pains etc and was feeling very sick.
Strawberry pie is right-you know that you ahave got everything working right, and as soon as you start ttc you will be super organised and ready whereas none understanders like myself will still be dawdeling along Smile
bebe and strawberry I can add another husband to the list she is such a good dancer (nothing to do with her twinkling around nearly naked!)
nanny1 - work really riling me. Am used to the cold (rats are a new addition though!) so dont think it would bother me as much if it wasnt for boss being so shit. Wish they would stop changing mind and let me get on with it. In the 6years I have had my work pattern changed every single year. I hope your breakfast in bed was nice!

bebejones - still waiting to TTC #2(less than 3 months to go)
nannyl waiting to TTC #1. been here since may and waiting until Xmas to start trying.
amummyinwaiting ttc #1 but getting narked and niggly at nebstrual cycle!

nannyl · 02/10/2010 08:44

AC sorry you are feeling so rubbish Sad

I am having a quiet weekend this weekend. (by quiet i mean not driving 500miles + which i will be doing EVERY weekend between now and november, and as i did last weekend too Shock)

am patiently waiting my breakfast in bed Smile

am VERY confused with my temps though... had +ve OPK on day 13 and 14, temp rise day 15, up steeply until day 18, day 19 steep drop ON to cover line, went up again day 19, but day 20 steep drop again to one point above cover line. Am very Confused about it

AC at least you now know you ARE ovulating and that you can interpret your cycles when the time comes. That is useful information to have and should give you a bit of peace of mind until you do start TTC?

Also remember about that post pill fertility spike too- as soon as you stop the pill next time you will be up-duffed at light speed! If I were you i wouldn't want to have to go through the whole MAP issue again so maybe taking the pill is the easiest option? Although I know it is not easy at all :(

bebe my OH also thinks Ola has a lot going for her! Kristina is another favourite! Hmm

bebejones · 02/10/2010 07:57

Strawberry DH only allows me to watch Strictly because of Ola! Hmm Oh and now Aliona aswell! Hmm Hmm

AC - Sorry you are feeling so rubbish. It won't be forever. Maybe if your DH sees how miserable it's making you he might change his mind?

How are you doing? I hope your AF isn't overstaying her welcome!

AmandaCooper · 01/10/2010 23:29

Hi amummyinwaiting. See it's my turn to have a mini breakdown - we politely take turns on this thread! I have no idea why this has just come upon me today like this, I'm really fed up.

amummyinwaiting · 01/10/2010 22:42

Hi AC,
Are you ok?As I said before I can understand how it is when you start to resent thaking the contraception. Could you just ease yourself back into it slowly and not do the temping for a while (I havent really got a clue about it so I'm sorry if that sounds flippant.) But there is a reason that you are doing all of this and it will be worthwhile.
Hugs to you.

AmandaCooper · 01/10/2010 21:45

Is anyone around? I am utterly utterly utterly fed up of all of this. AF arrived today, which is good news, because obviously I wouldn't have wanted to be pg after all the business with the MAP, but now it's time to take my first contraceptive pill again and even though I want to get our sex life back on track, somehow I can't quite get round to taking the bloody thing. All the 6am temping and charting and everything. I wish I'd never started. God I'm so sick and tired of the whole thing.

strawberrypie · 01/10/2010 20:26

STRICTLY!!! WOO-HOO! De de de de de de de, de de de de de!

100years I have got a trek 1.5 but I am quite new to cycling, I only really started last year but am loving it. What events do you train for? I did a charity ride last year (Manchester to Blackpool) but went pretty slowly! My OH wants a turbo but they seem so expensive for what they are-very useful though especially in winter or for when you have a LO!

Glad you are back ok bebe! You can cheer up your OH by making him watch strictly! He will be so pleased (if he is anything like my OH!) welcome to the first NO JAB FRIDAY! Yey! OH and I made home made pizzas this week in honour of you and they were great x

Take a thermometer to work amummy and make sure the temperature is within the legal limits! I hate being cold, much rather be too hot than too cold.

bebejones · 01/10/2010 20:10

Amummy - sorry you are feeling rough still :( Cosy down to watch Strictly...that'll help! Wink

JBells - Sleep does make all the difference. DD slept 6-7hours a night from about 4 weeks. (We were very lucky) Her sleep is alot more up and down lately :( She is so fiercely independant & stubborn & hideously strong willed that she has always been (what her Grandad calls) a 'force of nature' the last few months have been...erm...trying! Hmm Wouldn't change her though...she's great fun! :o

amummyinwaiting · 01/10/2010 19:40

Hi Ladies.
So glad its Friday! Had another run in with boss who decided she would go to hr about my annualised hours to see if she could say I had to work when I was asked rather than the 3 days a week they had bloody asked me to do in the first place (hence me getting second job) would mean I couldnt do second job. Had a reserved rant saying the above so then she said she thought it was best if we left it how it is "for now". I'm sick and tired of the bloody place. Its freezing cold there already and the rats are chewing half the flaming door off to get into the staffroom!
Rant over and feel lots better as I have got wine and dh cooking tea. and bebejones I'm with you on this one...strictly is back too!
Had a funny couple of dayS. As I said, felt really miserable and had started period but although its hurt lots it hasnt been very heavy and I have felt sick the past couple of mornings so think I'm going to give it a little bit and see what happens...dont want to take a test and build my hopes up.
I'm not going to read the is it all worth it thread as I think it will make us all panic!

jbells · 01/10/2010 19:30

konnichiwa squirral, hope u enjoyed japan desoite it being work work work, have u been b4?

bebe- glad your home safe hope u enjoyed your trip despite the problems, i think im the opposite to u, i am finding DD so much easier now than when she was a baby but to be honest i think because she didnt sleep till 13 months and i wasnt getting more than 4 hours sleep a nite the sleep deprivation was really getting to me, i think everything seems easier and better after a good nites sleep, its strange because she seems to have been sleeping thru the nite for so long now but in reality it was only four months ago, im just hoping and praying that the next baby will sleep better then mayb ill enjoy the baby months a bit more 2nd time round, however DD is 17 months so mayb once she hits terrible 2's it mite get harder, hmmm a new born and a terrible 2 year old wot was i thinking lol

bebejones · 01/10/2010 19:16

Evening train!

Am home!! :) Horrid journey in the rain, took nearly an hour longer than usually from my mums house :(

Gas is back on, but the complaint is in the lap of our solicitor!

Strawberry - Will look into the TA thing, but I know places can be hard to come by! Sounds like a good idea though :)

I have glanced at the 'Is it all worth it' thread & decided that since I already have one, there wasn't much point reading the arrguments for/against! My life is different now, but on the whole it is a better, more fufilled & happy one! DD is my whole world & I couldn't imagine life without her, even when the going is tough & even when she drives me up the wall! :o

JBells - I would have to say though that although I found the first year tough at the time it was a piece of cake compared to the last 8months. Newborns are a piece of cake compared to toddlers! Wink :o (But alot of fun!!)

No jab tonight & the start of Strictly, pizza for dinner & a tub of Bailey's Haagan Das in the freezer...marvellous! :)

Can we do an up-to-date list of where everyone is on the train? I'm a bit lost! Confused

I'll start...

Konnichiwa everyone! I am actually on a real life train, on my way back from a business trip in Japan. Unfortunately didn't get to see anything outside the hotel and offices, spent too much time fighting jetlag, and am very much looking forward to getting home to hb :) jbells I can honestly say that business travel is rubbish, and I'm sure your hb can't be enjoying it, no matter how glamorous it sounds.

I'd like to read the is it all worth it thread, but not sure it's a great idea a few days before I get my coil removed Confused

Hope you're all well and will catch up properly once I'm home :)

jbells · 01/10/2010 17:13

hey all hope everyone is feeling ok, went out with my mum today so had a nice day was only to cosco but was nice just to get out :)

AC- dont let the thread put u off, honestly hhaving kids is such an enjoyable experience aand def worth it trust me i wudnt be doing the whole pregnancy, labour, and sleepness nites stage agen if it wasnt, the first year is terribly hard but then it really starts to become enjoyable when u see there lil personalities start to blossom :) i mite not be saying that by the time there teenagers tho lol

quod- u mite be right im always more miserable in winter i think i suffer from cabin fever hate being stuck inside, gudluck not getting distracted :)

100years- im afraid u completly lost me on bike talk lol, unfortunatly im not an outside energetic person wish i was then exercise wud be so much more enjoyable, i have had a look at the due may 2011 threads i just dont really seem to enjoy it there, everyone talks about same things comparing symptons etc, i like the variety of converstaion on this thread and that its not all about babies/ pregnancy, u feel like u get to know everyone a bit here i think

strawberry- maybe i can gtake up the name jingle bells till xmas hehe, since the countdown has begun and the shops are fully of xmas stuff

JS- hope u feel better a massage and a movie wot a gud idea :) i mite try that one the nxt time im feeling rubbish, if i can spare an hour from looking afta DD

i go to see my family in mata next tues so my weekend will prob be spent preparing suitcases, presents and things DD will need while there, dont know whether to invest in some DVT socks as ive heard your alot more prone to it whilst pregnant

Quodlibet · 01/10/2010 15:57

Hello all

Is everyone feeling any better today? I was totally full of gloom yesterday too, I wonder if it's connected with the rubbish weather setting in?

AC yes I read the 'Is it all worth it?' thread, AND the old threads which were linked to on it, and ended up in a right old doldrums over the whole thing and lying awake at night going Agggghhhhhhh! (seriously). Trying to remind myself that all the people I know who are parents for the most part seem to be enjoying it hugely... and also reminded myself to consciously enjoy to benefits of being child-free while I still am...

Right, am redrafting my CV and MUST NOT LET MYSELF BE DISTRACTED BY MN!!

Have good Friday evenings, all!

100years · 01/10/2010 14:29

Hi all.

strawberrypie I actually have 2 bikes, one road bike Giant SCR and a Specialized MTB which actually has road tyres on as I wasn't able to ride my road bike for a while due to shoulder pain. I love talking bikes - be prepared for boredom LOL I love both of my bikes equally, do class myself as a roadie though, the MTB is more for training and easy trails, I DO NOT intend on doing any proper MTB stuff - I'm a wuss!!! Getting (hopefully) a turbo trainer for b'day or chrimbo so I can continue to train if it's icy over the winter and then when I (all positive etc) have a baby I can do a bit on it without having to leave the house :o

Oooh I was a TA for a while, it was great fun, really enjoyed it.

I had a bit of a moment when I was going to sleep last night, it's now October, that means it could be next month for TTC, I got very excited. I'm going to be so bad the closer it gets!!! I hope it is defo Nov that we TTC I may end up crying again if it's not.....

I've not really looked around any of the other threads, do post in a weight loss one, but other than that I've not looked around, partly because I'm still in the wait to TTC! I am so broody and want a family there isn't anything that would make me change my mind tbh.

strawberrypie · 01/10/2010 12:08

Hi all!

I hope everyone is feeling a bit better now it's Friday!

I like jingle bells! He he!

What bike have you got 100 years? Are you a roadie like me? I fell off my bike on Sunday though and have a lovely bruise that looks a bit like Phill Mitchell's face! Bit unsettling actually.

I have not read that thread AC but I will do...

Hope things start looking up Bebe! Your bad luck must be due to run out soon! I know youhave mentioned part time work before but what about a tempory role as a TA covering a maternity leave for example just until things get better with OH's work? it would look good on your application for your PGCE too? Just a thought xxx

JustShaggingForNow · 01/10/2010 09:27

Morning all

The train must have been going through a tunnel as I was also having a miserable day. It was so bad that I actually took myself off for a long walk home form work and then treated myself to a massage and a movie. Had a bit of a cry before I went to sleep and woke up feeling much better.

Hugs to everybody having crappy weeks....... lets hope that things get better over the weekend!

xxxx

AmandaCooper · 30/09/2010 22:40

lol @ nannyl I hope that's not baby brain! How are we all? A bit down in the dumps? Funny I think everyone's feeling a bit like that at the moment, not just us.

Did you all read the thread about is it all worth it? Lots of BAD reports from The Other Side. I'm now seriously replaying the Doubts in my head. Really thinking of going back on the pill - mentioned this to DH who merely grunted!

See you all tomorrow!

jbells · 30/09/2010 19:28

lol dont need to be sorry made me chuckle, now thinking about it my username does look like abrev for jingle bells, wonder y people did actually choose there usernames tho

nannyl · 30/09/2010 19:16

jbells sorryBlush... i have always abbreviated the song jinglebells to jbells, so i guess i thought j bells so automatically typed j ingle!!!!

jbells · 30/09/2010 19:10
