JS- wot a pain in the butt that they had changed it to tuesday, i really want to see that film to glad u enjoyed it, it does make u sick with jelousy when someone your own age is a billionaire [henvy]

Thanks guys! Sorry to put a downer on you all, especially on a Friday!

One of DHs friends has just found out today that she is having a little girl. DH is delight as (in his words) 'this means we can get rid of more of DDs baby crap!' :( This isn't looking good for TTC is it?! Hmm Either that or he is convinced we will have a boy next time round!

squirrel007 · 22/10/2010 15:15

bebe sorry you're feeling down :( maybe take it easy and try and get some rest, there's no point carrying on regardless and making yourself ill just so your DH doesn't worry.

100years I'm definitely planning to put on a 'work face' but I feel slightly dishonest doing it :( and also it's quite hard to answer the question of what I want to achieve in the next year when my first thought is 'baby'!! I am definitely feeling the rollercoaster of emotions too!

js how annoying that they want to do Tues, hope you can work something out :)

bebejones · 22/10/2010 15:01

DH is from a very big family. He has an older brother & sister from his dad's 1st marriage, and 2 older brothers from his mums 1st marriage. Then he has 2 older step-sisters & 2 younger sisters from his dad's 3rd marriage!! Plus massive amounts of cousins!

Just feeling a bit like we are back to square one. Two steps forward one step back sort of thing. You would not believe the run of bad luck we have had in the last couple of years! Sometimes I wish he just had a 9-5 employed job, rather than working for family/being self-employed. I'm sure he will figure something out, he usually does, but I hate feeling so helpless. Have been looking for a part-time job (evenings/weekends) for months now, there is nothing out there that's suitable! Things will pick up again, it's just how things are at the moment for everyone. I'm sure there are people out there far worse off than us! Probably coz I feel rough things are seeming worse than they actually are!

JustShaggingForNow · 22/10/2010 14:46

Oh Bebe that sucks. I guess it is probably a combination of things that is making you feel so low. Hopefully when one starts to improve you will start to feel a bit more positive about things and less miserable.

Is your DH an only child?

100years · 22/10/2010 14:00

Oh bebe, so sorry to hear how you are feeling, it may just be the illness that is making you glum, if so I hope you feel a bit brighter when you perk up. Have no idea what to suggest re telling your DH.

bebejones · 22/10/2010 13:44

Feeling so low today. Don't know if it's coz I feel rough or because I finances have gone from 'getting better' to 'couldn't be worse' in a matter of days! :( Feeling completely resigned to DH never agreeing to TTC. If he still isn't 'interested' by March I'll got back on my meds. Feel so sorry for DD if she ends up being an only child, I hated it!

Plus coz I feel poorly all I want to do is curl up in bed & I can't. Can't say anything to DH as it's more weight to his 'you can't cope when you get ill' argument! Hmm

JS - Really want to see that film, seeing as I'm addicted to fb! :o

100 - It's so good that your DH is so supportive. I was so convinced that conceiving DD was going to take months & it happened the first month! Confused Of course this doesn't help convince DH that the 2nd one could take a while!

100years · 22/10/2010 13:02

Hello Ladies :o How are we all?

I'm feeling a little better now, in fact I think today is the first time in a week where I don't feel knackered and unable to do stuff. I'm stuff full of gunk in my nose and head but I feel like doing a little dance. I think I shall be at work tomorrow unless something mad happens between now and then.

I really want to talk to my sister about TTC, she got pg very early on with her two, in fact I think it was second cycle for the first and I'm not sure about the second, but I know it was soon, although I don't really want her to know we are trying iykwim. I think though they adopted the shag like bunnies approach to it and a comment was well I would have been surprised had I not! I think my Mum got pg early on as well. Not saying that I will, but you can hope can't you.

I kind of chatted about temping and stuff with OH last night, he was great, as I am kind of concerned it won't happen, just because I'll only believe it when it actually does, and he said well if it turns out that you have no internal organs and have been bleeding fakely for the last few years and I am shooting nothing then we will still be OK, there will be other options. Not quite worded like that but I think you get the point.

The whole TTC and stuff is a huge rollercoaster of emotions isn't it....

I cried yesterday watching Scrubs when Karla has the baby and it has to go to the NICU for a while, then Turk comes in and shows off the baby while JD and (forgotten her name) decide to keep the baby she has just got upduffed with.

jbells, shopping sounds great, glad you got yourself some new goodies :)

Strawberry, I must admit it was ace saying it at the doctors when I went and my doctor was really excitable too so I was pleased :)

squirrel, just sit there tell them things they would want to hear and go from there, I've had to do the same thing myself recently, but I have a good work face that I can put on.

JS I reckon you must be pulling your hair out, I applied for a new job end of last year so I could move and it took till March to get the final verdict, I hope you get some answers soon.

bebe, sorry you are now unwell, I hope the numbness only lasts as long as the lurgy, and as you say the meds might not have stopped a relapse anyway. GWS

JustShaggingForNow · 22/10/2010 10:29

Morning All

Sorry to hear that you are feeling so rough today bebe. It must be so frustrating to have to keep it quiet too but I am sure that catching your DD's bug isn't because you aren't on your meds. It's Autumn and everybody is getting sick!! Half of my office is off sick today and having sat next to 2 of the team members that are at home throwing up I am thinking that I may end up catching it at some point.

I heard back yesterday that the FD now can't do Monday and they want to do Tuesday instead which is incredibly irritating. I have let the recruiter know that it will be pretty tricky for me and that ideally it would be a post work meeting so that i can just leave London a bit early and not have to take a day off. Not heard anything back from her yet but I think that the company are taking quite a lot of time to get back to her so it's not really her fault.

jbells - it sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday. Great that you managed to find some nice maternity wear too!

DH and I went to watch "The Social Network" last night. Can really reccommend it! The really depressing thing is that Mark Zuckerberg is the same age as me..... and owns the majority of a company worth $65 billion!!!

bebejones · 22/10/2010 07:46

JS - Can't believe they have left you hanging on all week!

Squirrel - DDs nursery is green, yellow was my second choice but a close friend who was due before me did hers yellow & I didn't want her to think we were copying! Confused I did it a shade of green that would work with either pink or blue accesories. I love decorating, can't wait to be able to re-do it!

100 - How are you feeling this morning?

Have caught DDs lurgy. Feel like death! :( I'm so scared that it might bring on a relapse. (Nasty bugs can make my symptoms flare up) My balance is complete shot & nearly fell in a heap as I rushed to the loo! Can't work out if my foot & fingers are actually going numb or if I'm imagining it Confused Just don't want to tell DH as he'll go all OTT & say it's my own fault for stopping meds! (When in reality they don't always stop relapses anyway) Had so much to do today & feel miserable & very sorry for myself! :(

jbells sounds like a great day out!

js hope you hear about the interview soon, it's bad of them to keep you hanging for so long :(

strawberry I'm thinking mainly yellow (keen to avoid both blue and pink) with some other colour. Maybe green, but that might look a bit wholesome! Red would be good, and is my favourite, but the room isn't too big so i don't want to overdo it. Am going to go to b&q at the weekend and get paint colour swatches!! And it is exciting talking to your doctor - I felt a bit strange when I first mentioned it to the dr, almost as if they'd tell me not to be silly and to wait till I was properly grown up!

I just found out that I have my work annual review next week - it's going to be hard thinking of what to say for next year's plan when I'm hoping to be gone (or at least, on maternity leave)

strawberrypie · 21/10/2010 21:42

It sounds like you had a perfect day jbells! Liverpool is fab for shopping now with Liverpool One isn't it?

100years you must be really fed up now. I suppose all you can do is rest and wait until you feel better- sending you get well soon vibes!

I love it that DD is fighting your corner, bebe, and asking for a baby sister!

Still wishing you good luck JS........my OH had an interview yesterday but didn't get it. We were gutted, there are not many teaching jobs around at all at the moment :(

I went to the doctor today for something else but asked her a few questions about TTC too. It was strange saying it out loud that we will be trying next year! :)

I'm Envy about the nursery squirrel! Let us know what theme/colour you choose!

jbells · 21/10/2010 19:32

hi all, i have had quite a nice day today DD was in nursery and seems i got laid off from my job had a day to myself, so i took myself shopping to liverpool which i havnt done in as long as i can remember and treated myself to some maternity clothes i didnt buy any last time round except one pair of jeans the choice seems a lot more fashionable this time round, made sure i bought stuff that i cud still wear even if i wasnt pregnant :) also got DD an outfit, then went for lunch with my brother,3:15 then an old friend came round for an hour and just as she was leaving DP came back from his business trip, all in all a good day very tired now tho

Bebe- wow that is a long time since u went pics, my DP loves to go we just never get round to it as we have a limited supply of babysitters, havnt had scan yet, its nxt friday seems to be taking forever to come round, feel like i got ahead of myself buying mat clothes just incase i get there and theres no hearbeat or something is wrong Confused hope the pain of your tooth goes soon

100years- i really hope u start to feel better soon

js- hopefully recruiter will be able to give u definate date soon

bebejones · 21/10/2010 18:18

100 - hope you are feeling a bit better?! :(

JS - how frustrating to keep you hanging on! Is it a job in Bath or is it in Bristol? Either way I bet you can't wait for it tbc so you can get away from the BFH!

Have confided in another friend about plans to TTC & stopping meds. But it's ok coz she doesn't know anyone I know & lives near my mum! She had just in told me that she has been trying for her 2nd for over a year & has been referred for blood tests. :( Really hope it happens for her soon. You never know, we could be due at the same time! Hmm If DH ever gets into the idea of DC2!

I'm bloody fed up with it now. :( Going to get a blanket and lie and watch DVDs

JustShaggingForNow · 21/10/2010 12:09

oh - get better soon 100. There are tons of people in my office off sick at the moment, there must be something going around. Not much fun :(

JustShaggingForNow · 21/10/2010 12:09

I had some very vivid dreams last nighttoo. One in particular about DH telling me that we shoud sod our plans and just start trying now..... Oh I wish!!

Still no date for the meeting. Bit frustrating really so am going to chase the recruiter today as i need to know if I am going to have to change my train tickets back from Bath.

100years · 21/10/2010 11:20

Oh poop, I feel no better still. Woke this morning when the alarm went off, throat killing, coughing slightly productively, legs ache like I've done some killer session in the gym and the start of a headache. So I rang work and booked sick. Went back to bed and slept for nearly 4 hours solid, I did have some vivid dreams while I was sleeping though.

bebejones · 21/10/2010 09:32

JBells - haven't been to the cinema since before I was PG with DD Shock DH doesn't like going & every time I've arranged to go with friends it's been cancelled by someone! :( Think I'm the complete opposite to you re sleeping...I love having the bed to myself :o Did you have a scan date yet? Can't remember if you said Blush

I'm in agony with one of my wisdom teeth today, gum so swollen where it is underneath that the pain goes down into my throat :( On the plus side, at least I don't want to eat! :o

OP posts:
jbells · 21/10/2010 08:25

bebejones · 20/10/2010 19:29

JBells - enjoy the cinema! I haven't been in soooooooo long so am v Envy

100 - I feel your pain! Yesterday I went to Sainsbury's once & Tesco twice coz I kept forgetting stuff! I even wrote a list for Tesco the first time & still managed to forget stuff that was on the list!!! It's so frustrating!

Ironing?! What's that?! Wink :o

Had to stop reading the secondary infertility thread coz it was making me really worried! Confused

AC, where are you? Hope you are ok?

JS, when do you have to go meet the board?

OP posts:
100years · 20/10/2010 18:49

I went shopping today with the plan to make Pork Madras for tea, and I forgot one vital ingredient, I nearly cried when it was suggested I went out again to get some, I am sooooo tired and I reckon I am also proper PMTish now.

I've just ironed a load of shirts and trousers, have made loads of soup again, and I'm so looking forward (not) to work tomorrow, but at least I will be sitting down lots!!!

Can't wait to feel better so I can do some exercise again, I am missing it now, which I think means I am getting better, but the fact I couldn't actually do anything means I am not actually ready to.

Enjoy the cinema :)

jbells · 20/10/2010 17:41

i can honestly say i have heard nothing about the orgasm thing or the alkaline boy sperm environment thing u learn something new everyday :o

well DP is away on business again today and tomoro so i have asked my mum to babysit tonite and i am going the pics with my friend altho i am exhausted and may fall asleep will be a nice rest/ nite out hehe

100years · 20/10/2010 16:28

Thanks Squirrel. Oooh the 2ww, that will be me next month!!! I'm not sure how much the coil affects things re your cycle, I know when I had mine it didn't but then I had the copper non hormonal one as opposed to the mirena coil.

I'm whacked out really, still not over the lurgy, just feel really knackered and I am working tomorrow, it's the start of 5 shifts for me, bleurgh. Only 2 weeks today till we go away for a mini break :)
