hey peeps :0)

I have been TTC for 3 months now to no avail, no idea why not, as am very healthy, fit and SWI at the 'right' times.
Getting slightly stressed as everyone around me is preggers or recently had a little one, which I am happy about but it seems to be happening to people that have/do all the things that everybody says to avoid having/doing!

I shall begin a list:)

Hey everyone, how are we all?

Busy week at work for me, barely have time to breath at the moment lol

Think I am oving at the mo thanks to the symptoms so hoping to SWI if I can catch my DH for long enough :0)

Oh, but PS, it has been revealed to me that a)I won't be in London when he proposes, and b)The shiny piece of jewellery his best friend is minding will not be used until next year but will help give an excellent start to the year...because he had had a few pints and tends to spill his plans and secrets when intoxicated, had to desperately tell him to not tell me any more, whilst secretly jumping around in excitement inside!

GreenLillium · 25/09/2010 22:21

Have fun with your SWI, both of you! :o

All my signs are saying perhaps ov tomorrow, but want it to stay off until Wed (hopefully me SWI on Tues night? If I get a temp rise tomorrow I will be annoyed, especially after I thought this might be the right date and Fertility Friend thinks it's the one we've gone with).

Anyway, DP has agreed to really, really start trying in Dec., but even though he has twins already they were an accident and this afternoon had to spell out to him actually why the window of opportunity was small, he had no idea because, ahem, he is highly provenly fertile and didn't believe 'Dr crap'.

Baby Dust! Baby Dust for all!

goldmaple · 25/09/2010 20:42

Sorry Blush - that is my embarrased face, hope its good enough green Wink

Going to SWI tonight! alien last month we SWI at all the right times to and nothing... but fingers crossed for all of us!

alien06 · 24/09/2010 18:31

gold haha love it ! yup be good to share the dreaded 2ww , It may help for me to not be so tired to aid SWI lol

. Be ashamed of yourself, gold, that pun was not eggceptional at all!

  • I'll have enough for you all this month, ok?
goldmaple · 24/09/2010 16:00

green thats too bad about DH being away. If you get a few days of it any chance he can make it back for the tail end of it?

I work on Sat too, but get Sunday and Monday off so its not too bad:) The job is going better though.

alien sounds like we will both be SWI this weekend! Maybe we can keep eachother from going crazy on the 2ww. (or else we will egg eachother alongGrin which is more likely!!)

GreenLillium · 23/09/2010 20:15

alien, it's frustrating, isn't it? Much harder than I thought it would be! But I like a bit of a challenge!

Gold, hope your job isn't doing your head in too much! (Almost Friday) (Which doesn't help if you work on weekends!):o

alien06 · 23/09/2010 19:13

awww Green that is a bugger!!!! I am coming up to my ovulation time according to the app on my iphone hahahahahahaha , not sure if this will be our month as we timed it well last month but still no BFP :(

Roll on half term!

I just got my fertile mucous and it's no-where near where DP can come and see me. :( . So it's going to be another month. Why can't fertile patches be on weekends?!!

goldmaple · 22/09/2010 15:39

alien06 I am not a teacher but I have just started a new job as well and when I have a bad or crazy day I wonder what I'm thinking TTC

Anyone close to testing yet?

GreenLillium · 21/09/2010 21:21

Hahah, the pressure of the workplace and its politics. And schools can be the worst, before I became a teacher heard about it all for years from my friends who were teachers.

(Better make this a new thread, teachers can just go on, and on, and on, and, well, let's just say our job sort of consumes us! :o!)

We just started TTC, first came off pill in late June, everything is looking regular from the outside but actual cycle dates haven't settled yet. Never looked before, didn't get pain so didn't care (sorry to all of you who do get massive period pain, I have friends with this so I do know some of what you go through. I get migranes instead). But as relationship is long distance at the moment we have to time things right, and we haven't so far . . .

alien06 · 21/09/2010 20:50

Hi green yes this is my first year. I qualified in July 09 this is my second term of my NQT. I teach Year 1. I think I'm doing ok but then I'm not 100% sure or everything which is scary as don't want to ask too many questions !

Roll on half term :-) what's your story re TTC?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some BFPs over the coming weeks !!

OP posts:
GreenLillium · 21/09/2010 20:12

alien 06, is this your first year teaching? It's my third proper year, and it's much more settled that the first two. I hate parent teacher evenings too. And we have so many of them (one tomorrow evening to set targets for GCSE students). If you need to talk re stress and teachering and TTC, I'm here!

alien06 · 21/09/2010 07:53

hey everyone :0) Sorry for the delay in getting back on but my job takes over my life! ( teacher!) and last night I had the first night out to cinema and dinner with DH for months :0)

I did write a reply when I got home but then DH turned the internet off just as I was posting it !

goldmaple I feel ok ish about TTC except everyone around us is having a baby and with hardly any months of trying and they smoke, are unfit, huge etc . I am a non smoker , drink only a little and exercise nearly everyday, and I cant seem to conceive as quick as others ! Oh I am 28 but I didnt think that was too old ........
I had the mirena coil removed in June so it is not like I have the excuse of the hormones are in my body :( I am going to go to the docs re something else and will slip in a mention of the TTC part and see if he has any extra recommendations!

I am glad in a way that I have such a busy job as I have not got a lot of time to ponder on the whole TTC thing, during the Summer holidays I was becoming obsessive with it all. I have bought all the recommended books but cant really redically change my diet as 1) I eat healthily anyway, 2) DH is not up for all the funky food and 3) I cant cook that well lol.

Sorry to be me me me but this is the only place where I can release all the stresses of TTC

fedupttcnosuccess my best mate had the same thing - unexplained, but she became preggers after 3 years of trying :) sadly she mc but it shows that there is hope out there so try to keep your chin up :0)

right just noticed the time and I best get to school as the little six year olds will be in soon!!

have a nice Tuesday everyone

xx

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Won't post cycle details just yet, as am a bit superstitious of such things- don't ask!
Giraffe: we've both been tested twice yearly, bloods, scans, his sperm count: the whole shebang, everything text book stylee! Which is why we're under the " unexplained infertility" umbrella: highly demotivating. Push comes to shove may have to go ivf privately next year. At least we'll have given it our best shot the au naturel route ! It's so frustrating when it's not happening.
Hope this thread brings us all luck xxx

GiraffeAHolic · 20/09/2010 21:44

hi fedup. I think everyone got cold on the bench :)

That sounds very mysterious. It's bad enough when you know there's a problem and can look into medication etc, but it must be very difficult when there is no explainable problem to work with :(

Has dh been tested for any issues?

goldmaple · 20/09/2010 21:42

fedup have no advice/tips, but welcome:)!! Hopefully this will be a lucky thread for everyone!

fedupttcnosuccess · 20/09/2010 21:36

Where is everybody?

fedupttcnosuccess · 20/09/2010 18:58

Hiya girlies! Room for another one? Ttc 1st for 2 years now. Newcomer to mumsnet. Any/ all tips welcome. Drs can't find anything wrong, therefore no solution at the mo. May go onto ivf privately next year if situation doesn't improve. I'm 40, dh is 43. Cycle regular as clockwork, ovulate on the nose day 14, BMI 23, his is 22: bloods are good. Someone somewhere has decided that it isn't to be .... Just yet!

GiraffeAHolic · 20/09/2010 18:47

Hi goldmaple, it wasn't an implantation bleed as AF finally turned up today.

So counting today as day 1, the Clomid will begin tomorrow :) very excited and very nervous :)

I'd also like to be able to announce at Christmas!

goldmaple · 19/09/2010 15:10

giraffeAHolic fingers crossed that it was an implantation bleed! Hopefully if it wasn't you get on clomid soon!

alien06 I'm very excited about TTC and going to try not to obsess ... but the 2WW is really long and boring and of course I symptom spot like crazy. I'm also a little worried that I won't be able to have a baby etc... but not founded on anything other than a few fertility problems in my family (grandparents on both sides, but parents were fine). Would love to tell everyone at Christmas but just trying not to get hopes up too much because it probably will take longer...
How are you feeling about TTC? Its good to have a fellow newbie to talk to:)

GiraffeAHolic · 18/09/2010 21:24

Thanks alien. I doubt it, fairly sure I haven't ovulated in about a year. I did a HPT on Friday but BFN, thought I may have had an implantation bleed on Wednesday but I don't think it's likely.

The wait continues.

alien06 · 18/09/2010 20:19

giraffe I'm sorry to hear about u not being able to start Clomid :( fingers crossed u can soon. No chance u could be heading for a BFP ??x

GiraffeAHolic · 18/09/2010 18:58

Ok so af arriving was a false alarm (god knows how after a week of Norethisterone Hmm) so can't start the Clomid.

This is going to be one long month :)
