So near, yet so far! Holiday villa for those waiting TTC#1 having suffered mc

MamaPower · 09/09/2010 18:02

Hi all,

I need to take a holiday with some lovely peeps in the same position; I'm TTC#1 but had 2 mc's this year and now discovered my luteal phase is only 9 days (anything under 10 considered a defect) and probably the reason that I cannot retain a pregnancy.

If you have yet to be blessed with motherhood because mc has cruelly taken away your chance so far, then this is the place to retreat for some R & R whilst your body recovers.

Pull up a sun lounger, and lie back for some lighthearted banter and support whilst monitoring cycles or undergoing investigation and wash down the Vit B6, Agnus Castus, Progesterone and Clomid with a lovely vodka glass of sparkling spring water!!

Can I join. I was pregnant but suffered a missed miscarriage. I had an ERPC done a week ago.

Still in the ranting stage, not really helped that one friend gave birth last week and 3 others are pregnant. Feel a bit jealous of them if I am honest and it does not seem fair.

Sorry for the wallow. Obviously I need a glass of wine and to watch the neighbours fireworks.

MamaPower · 22/10/2010 12:43

Thanks Owl yup london tom and fly out on Sat...can't wait! I would have actually risked being arrested too... so def a good thing [hwink] See y'all in 3 weeks, love and hugs xx

Thanks for the welcome, I've already been eating rare steak and drinking wine :)

MamaPower, as kat2504 says seems like good timing anyway. Dh already concerned about 'chore sex', told me not to tell him and just be ignorant to if I'm ov or not!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned?

owlshoes · 22/10/2010 12:34

Yes - at least you've been spared the airport lounge shag (probably illegal in KL anyway) Grin

Are you off this weekend then? have a lovely holiday :)

MamaPower · 22/10/2010 12:26

well at least I know they won't be trying to reach the egg mid air [hgin] (I originally thought I'd be ov somewhere over the ocean on route to KL!!!).

paté and brie...bring it on, all washed down with a lovely vino!

OP posts:
Wombat33 · 22/10/2010 00:09

Evening all! Did someone say brie and paté??? GrinGrin

Welcome Liz, sorry you have found yourself here.

I'm also keeping everything crossed for swimmer longevity. SWI on Sunday and then DH went away on business until tomorrow. Got a positive on the OPK on Tues and Weds...

kat2504 · 21/10/2010 22:48

MamaP sounds like it was actually just one day before? In which case the Monday is perfect timing for Ov on Tuesday. 2 days is still in the window too. Is frustrating, I think I missed my best day too, despite swi four times in the previous week. Fingers crossed for us both!

Also drinking wine.

liz welcome and sorry to hear about your mc. Hope you are recovering well from the erpc and AF doesn't keep you waiting too long.

nickstermum · 21/10/2010 22:44

De lurks just to reassure mamap that 2 days before should be fine:)

owlshoes · 21/10/2010 21:34

Hello Liz yes, lurking is encouraged :)

As is distracting knitting Grin

Oh, and eating brie and pate, drinking wine etc..

MamaPower · 20/10/2010 10:39

Morning all, how is everyone doing?

Hi Liz Sorry about your mc and of course you can lurk, join in whenever you like! Also, there is a mother thread to this, it moves at high speed but the gal's there are lovely, so if you want to swing by that one... click here

Bloody dh wasn't playing ball last night and I'm damn well sure I ov'd... let's hope there were some swimmers hanging around from Monday night [hblush]

OP posts:
Lizhappyfeet · 20/10/2010 06:08

Hi all, can I stay and lurk even if I'm just waiting to try? Am waiting for first period after erpc, but just want to get started. It's the only thing on my mind at the moment, but I'm taking up knitting as a distraction :)

DachshundsRule · 19/10/2010 21:35

nicks Car luxury would be parking it in the garage, carpet or no carpet! Unfortunately I think only Noddy's car would fit into the garage - it's a ridiculously tiny place that we couldn't even fit a car in when I only had a Corsa!

nickstermum · 18/10/2010 23:18

Owls good to see you back xxxx shame about work tho x

Goes back to lurking

nickstermum · 18/10/2010 23:16

Goodness dachs that's car luxury, parking it on a carpet lol

Goes back to reading and peppermint tea xx

DachshundsRule · 17/10/2010 22:00

owl thanks for the crossings but falling over doesn't sound good, so how about you uncross a few.. wouldn't want you hurting yourself ;)

mamap hope the hangover has gone! thanks for the good wishes.

owl nickster and anyone else this applies to - thanks for the 20 week support. Feeling a little better today, mainly because am so terrified about the IVF that I don't have any energy left for anything else.

What's with the X Factor result though?!!!!! How were Cher and Wagner not in the bottom 3??????????????????!!!!!!!!!

Driveway guy starting on Tuesday. Have carpeted garage and turned it into pantry. House looks great. Thanks for all the hugs and support. Think I'm feeling better now.

Hugs to all. Sorry for unloading this weekend. was just having a bit of a wobble. Love you all, so glad to have people that understand. :)

owlshoes · 17/10/2010 20:48

nickstermum · 16/10/2010 21:29

dachs sorry you are wobbling this week honey, am with you re the 20 weeks xxxx theres several of us over on the TTC thread who would all have been round about there during the last week or so, and the next week or so.

When do you start the drugs? i hope you are feeling ok about it. Im sure there are elements that will be tough, you can do it dachs xxxxx Stay strong xxx and let us know how they are going xxx

AuroraLeigh · 16/10/2010 14:00

Hello all, just popping by...sorry for long silence but Dad has had heart op, successful but he is still a bit loopy from morphine. I have dashed home for the weekend to see DH and go to the pub, before returning to parental home to prepare for Dad's return from hospital. Oh how I want life to get back to normal!

Dachs hugs to you, hope you're getting over the lurgy. I know just what you mean about it being harder after you've actually been pregnant. Fingers crossed for the IVF xx

Mamap hope the joys of Autumn are still abounding. I'm off to pick sloes for gin :)

Wombat hugs, and a large vodka cocktail (gin makes me tearful - unless it's lovely syrupy sloe gin...)

Will return in another week or so! xx

DachshundsRule · 16/10/2010 13:09

thanks for the cocktails mamap

Am ridiculously tired this weekend. I've had this horrible lurgy for two weeks now and just feeling cold, tired and rubbish. DH has told me to do nothing at all this weekend except sit on the sofa and watch TV, so he is currently clearing out the garage and I'm inside with the dogs cuddled up next to me. It's a hard life...

Feeling a little miserable this weekend but am trying to be upbeat and positive. The IVF drugs arrived during the week, and every time I open the fridge I'm reminded of my inability to produce a baby. The longing is so much harder to live with now that I've actually been pregnant. Would have been 20 weeks yesterday and finding out what flavour bean would have been, so found putting the ribbon on the lighting the candle quite hard as was in floods of tears. Sorry to moan, but this is a good place to unload as nobody in RL gets what it's like to go through what we've been through.

Hugs to all, hope you have a great weekend.

MamaPower · 15/10/2010 15:14

Hey all, just a quickie...clearly abusing that Friday feeling, as sat at my desk carrying out important MN posting instead of work!!!
Hope all is well, there is a distinct lack of cocktails being passed

Enjoy weekend, love to you all

Mornin' EverybodyPeeps! Grin
How are we all?

Sorry I've not been about on here much, some of you luuvlies will know from my moaning on t'other freds that I have poorly hands and can't type long time.
I'm off today so I'm catching up as much as possible.

Speshul squeezes to Wombat and I hope things start feeling brighter soon xx

Dachs glad to see you have got rid of the builders and you can enjoy your noo rooms and springy carpets.
You're not strange, I was soooo excited about finishing one room I posted pics on Facefook to show off for all just my MIL and SIL to see.
They live daahn Saaaf you see. HmmGrin

DachshundsRule · 13/10/2010 19:33

nickster I'm knackered! Have snuffles, had house guest yesterday so was cleaning like a maniac all day, had to take a conference call in the afternoon and had the carpet fitters in (they finished about 15 minutes before the guest arrived!)

So today was being a tour guide (took the American guest to Windsor and had a wander)

I want my snuffles to go and AF to start so I can start the IVF and hopefully get me a BFP.

How are you?

wombat Now the house guest has gone I've been just sitting in the lounge admiring the new look, and padding upstairs every now and again just to enjoy the feeling of the super springy and soft carpet under my feet. Does that make me really strange?

mamap Glad to hear you are feeling so happy. Nice that you had a breakthrough, even if it did reconfirm your mumly longings. Hope you get your BFP soon so you can be a mum. (Same goes for the rest of you too...)

Wombat33 · 13/10/2010 10:53

Morning all! Mammap glad you're full of the joys of Autumn, pass some this way Grin

Dachs glad the builders have gone and now you can finally enjoy the fruits of all that work!
