Time for us to move home again ladies!

I waited 10 months then Gp referred us to FC where we were seen after 12 week wait. They have since confirmed DH is ok but I have PCOS and a blockage in right tube' on treatment now. I think most areas won't refer you until you've been trying a year unless you've got problems with your cycle?

Congratulations stormbird and notnearly Smile

chocciechip I'm sorry you're feeling low. Nothing useful I can say and I don't want to start throwing around platitudes because I know how annoying that can be. Just wishing the very best for you and everyone on here.

ilovekittyelise, I think the CBFM is programmed to give you two peak days. I've only had one complete cycle on it but it did the same thing for me last month.

As an aside, has anyone had acupuncture to boost fertility ? I should prob start another thread but thought I'd check here first. I've had it for various other things in the past and it's always worked well for me. Had a first appointment the other day and it was suggested that I should stop using CBFM and charting for three months, just have sex when we feel like it. Hmm. Not sure I can do that. She also said that it can take up to two years to conceive naturally and she wouldn't necessarily assume something was "wrong" until then. Against that I was told by someone at Zita West that if I haven't conceived within 6 cycles of well-timed BDing then we should see a doctor.

As far as I'm concerned the earlier we find out about any identifiable problems, the better. I don't want to wait two years to find out I have a blocked fallopian tube or something.

I guess my other question is : how long did those of you who have had fertility tests etc. wait before going to get checked out ?

Sorry for long post.

Ilovekittyelise · 11/11/2010 20:35

So I know everyone except me knows the answer to this. The whole peak days thing. I knew on Tuesday I was ovulating/about to ovulate. I got the peak symbol on Wednesday morning and again today (it requested a test this morning as well). well basically I know it caught the end of my LH surge yesterday morning (weds) and now the CM is back to normal, OV pains gone, etc, basically, OV was definitely before today yet peak shown. so is the monitor still testing the urine or is it just pre-programmed to over-ride and give 2 peak days despite the reading? or maybe i had a double egger?!

To all you ladies that are having a bad day, huge hugs to you. I know how empty it feels to be childless when you want one so badly; I might only be on my first cycle of TTC number 1, but there was another number one who I had to terminate at 13 weeks back in August.

Love to everyone and hoping for some strong babydust for us all xxx

chocciechip · 11/11/2010 14:17

Me too ladies. Having a VERY bad day. Someone I know close to me is two days past her due date. I'm so low I could cry and cry and cry. Nearly a year since my second MC and I stupidly thought we'd at least have had another MC by now had a BFP by now. I'm finding it very difficult to believe its going to happen for us, and it makes me feel horrendous every time that gut-churning realistion bites.

boba82 · 11/11/2010 10:53

Exactly the same Lychees, 4 babies just born in RL and another due in April. Plus the neverending interrogation from people "when are you having kids?", "Don't you want children?". Even my best friends in RL are always saying "it'll happen soon enough". They are totally aware of my situation and they mean well but they don't understand and it's so easy to say that when you're 5 months pregnant or cradling your newborn not having had to try at all! I am starting to feel like it will never happen for me. I'm not in a downer ATM, trying to stay positive as first month on Clomid but I can't imagine ever getting there IYKWIM? Thank God we've got this place & each other! x I'm off to do my 2 minute silence x

Hey Storm thanks for your lovely message and congratulations to you! It sounds like you have been on a painful journey too and I hope this time around things work out better for you....

Well I had a pleasant surprise this morning - had a bit of cramping yesterday on day 12 and thought i was about to O - got my peak this morning on CD13 - very pleased about that didn't really expect it to be picked up this month!

Love and babydust to everyone

Liz xxxx

Lychees · 10/11/2010 08:01

Big, big congrats Storm! I am hoping and wishing for a healthy and happy nine months for you.

StormBird · 10/11/2010 07:55

Morning Ladies,

Welcome to Lizzie . I have a very similar story to you Lizzie. We found out back in May at 15wks PG that our baby had Annencephaly and the doctors described he/she as incompatible with life. We made the decision to terminate also. I'm pleased to say that this thread has been a godsend. The support you receive is second to none and I hope that you find it as comforting as I have. Good luck to you, I hope you get your BFP soon.

Well, is every body ready for the happy ending cos its nigh....... I got my BFP this morning on a CB Digi - 2-3 weeks. I am happy and so is DP but as you can understand we are very frightened about the next few months.

Thank you all so much for your support, I hope that we see another BFP on here very soon. I'm not going anywhere if thats ok I'd like to lurk for a while and stick my two peneth worth in every now and then LOL!!

Love to you all and oodles of baby dust Grin

Lychees · 10/11/2010 00:15

Lizzie, welcome to the gang. I hope your stay here is brief for all the right reasons.

You've had a really tough journey so far so wishing you lots of luck with the CBFM.

If no-one else does, I'll add you to the updated stats tomorrow.

Good luck for tomorrow, Storm.

Ilovekittyelise · 09/11/2010 22:24

ps i should have said. things have got better gradually and we are both feeling a little happier and back to ourselves, and ready to start trying again...i thought i better add that as its quite important to say that whilst i love my lost baby, im emotionally and physically ready again xxx

Ilovekittyelise · 09/11/2010 22:22

Hi ladies

I have been using the clear blue monitor the first time this cycle and when I googled I found you, and have read so many of your messages and am so happy to see what lovely ladies you all are and hoping I might be permitted to join your gang?!

Well a bit about me; my name is Lizzie. Im 34 and got married in January to my lovely canadian husband. we decided to start trying for a family in May 2010 and were lucky enough to conceive in the first cycle. It was hard work as I also have type 1 diabetes and basically everything you do makes balancing insulin hard work! anyhow, things progressed nicely until 12 week scan. the nuchal fold was huge and after a series of tests we learnt that our baby had a chromosomal abnormality which had a bad prognosis and we had a termination. we later learnt that our beautiful baby was a little girl whom we named kitty elise. regardless of the choice we made (which i believe was best for her even though i miss her constantly) i love that little girl more than i thought possible to love anyone and i hope that this experience makes me a better mummy some day.

the last few months have been tough, mentally and physically. physically, it has taken a while to get my cycle back and am still very irregular; we have finally decided to try again and got a CBFM to help work it out.

stats wise; my cycle used to be 28/29 days like clockwork(at moment its all over the shop!). we are trying to conceive number 1, first cycle of trying (excluding my beautiful daughter) and on first cycle of the CBFM. im on CD 12....with minor cramping and hopes for an egg soon!

anyhow, i hope you girls will welcome me into your group i would love to be a part of it.

loads of love and hugs

Lizzie xxx

StormBird · 09/11/2010 21:46

I don't know Pink - I'm just so scared of the dreaded BFN.............

PinkCustard · 09/11/2010 21:40

Exciting Storm fingers crossed - how have you managed not to test before now?

Arabella the exclamation mark appears because you've been switching it on with a stick still in. You need to remove the stick before you switch it back on, and it will just show your status without the scary exclamation Smile

StormBird · 09/11/2010 21:04

Hi Everyone,

Arabella not sure whats happening there, I hope someone else can advise. Welcome to the thread x

Notnearly congrats on your BFP thats brill news. Whoop!

Vikks congrats on your baby boy, its encouraging to read the success stories.

Harry I remember you, can't believe its 19 weeks already. Glad to hear your doing well.

Well you may or may not have read my other post but I'm gearing up to test in the morning. I will be 20DPO tomorrow and still no AF??? Just don't know whether t use the FR or CB Digi HPT?

Will let you know how I get on tomorrow. Hope you are all well

xxxx

ArabellaRose · 09/11/2010 19:50

Hello I'm new to this thread. Need your expert guidance please?! Am leaving all dignity at the door. Have only started CBFM last month. Have noticed a funny thing on this my second month of CBFM use. I routinely put the pee-stick in the monitor and then a little later I come back to switch it on and check the result. When I switch it on there appears a stick removal symbol with arrow, but also a disconcerting exclamation mark. This is CD13 and this exclamation mark has been happening regularly this month.

Only other question is: if I go to sleep at 10PM and have first morning pee at 3am, does that count as first morning pee or should I wait until next pee 3 hours later?

PinkCustard · 09/11/2010 17:19

Hello,

Just wanted to pop in to say that I'm quite excited to have gotten a High today - on day 11! I normally don't see any until day 13, and it was day 15 last month, so it was a pleasant surprise this morning. Am hoping my Peaks arrive earlier than my usual day 18/19 now.

Good luck Lychees here's hoping it's a successful month for us all xxx

As vikks said earlier, some of you may not remember me either, but I've used this thread in the past and found all the ladies a great support when I went through my ectopic pregnancy in April.

I had to post, firstly to send big hugs your way Keziah. I catch up with this thread regularly so have been following your story. I really don't know what to say other than I'm so sorry for you. As some of the other ladies have said, my fingers will be crossed for a natural bfp for you xxx

... and secodnly, cogratulations vikks on the brith of your little one. I'm 19 weeks now and have found out it's a boy Grin.

Big congrats and good luck to everone else who have had, or have tentatively had, bfp's recently xx
