Time for us to move home again ladies!

Morning ladies

Wow, lots of activity here! Hope everyone is well. Have been busy (again) with work.

Welcome to all the newbies!

Emmylou - good luck - have my FX for you.

Knackered - love the new name! We find it practically impossible to SWI every night around ovulation. We tend SWI in the run up and then on one of the peaks (perhaps that's our problem - expect we should make more effort to SWI on each peak!!).

Misseyraines - we tried preseed a couple of times. DH didn't really enjoy it even though I tried to minimise the amount that we were using! That said, we have some left so perhaps I should get using it just to see ....

Keziah - how are you? Not long till your appointment now. Our first appointment is next week too ..... will let you know how it goes.

Storm - hope you are okay. Did you manage to SWI last night??!!

Hi babyhoping - sounds promising for you this cycle - am really hoping this is your month!!

Hi Lychees, Boba and everyone else I've not mentioned by name.

Lovely sunny day today

KnackeredCow · 15/09/2010 08:33

Good Morning Ladies

Good luck Emmylou! I have my FX for you this morning.

V. excited today as got my first peak on CD15. Just as well as I am on stick number 10 and I didn't want to start the second set of test sticks in the pack.

Unfortunately didn't SWI last night had previous three nights and DH and I hve noticed that if we SWI every night ahem volume appears to decline to the extent that there was hardly any on Monday night Sorry TMI. Blush

Does anybody else find this? Is it something to be worried about or should we just reduce SWI to every other night (although that's reallly hard when the CBFM is screaming at you that your eggs are ready to be scrambled).

Keziahhopes · 14/09/2010 22:18

Storm you made me laugh!

Lychees - trust you to remind me! Thankfully, or otherwise, my dh can only produce sperm every two days so that limits us! Sorry if TMI.

Emmy - definitely test again tomorrow, all the best!!

Missyraines - preseed, I have bought it twice and used it! The one with the applicator and the one with the tube and syringes ... tube is more economical but you have to prepare it in advance so not so good for spontainaity (but wonder if any of us have energy for spontainaity anymore Smile!!)... um... if you are dry then it is a good lubricant, but can be slippy for dh! My dh had to learn how to use it should we say, bless him!! Will not buy anymore as awaiting fertility treatment, but if I hadn't ttc#1 for 2yrs I would definitely try it!!

Emmy If it´s at 15 dpo I doubt its implantation bleeding... At 15 dpo either its implanted or AF is coming. Based on the test you did I would say you are pregnant... Some people bleed very lightly at the time AF was expected to come when they are pregnant so if it is light I would not worry too much (I know its hard not to worry...). Also, sometimes when you are pregnant you can bleed for other reasons such as cervix bleeding. In fact, during pregnancy the cervix gets much more irrigated with blood and sensitive and BD can trigger some bleeding (this is true if you have had sex in the last 48h).

I would do another test tomorrow... Good luck!

I know hahahahaha.......when I was writing I thought 'Hmm is this a good idea??' But then I though 'Sod it....Its the truth' LOL!!

His face would've been a picture.

Still no reply BTW!! Grin

He is poorly bless him - he's not one for over egging it trust me but it had to happen when we should be starting to have SWI!!

I don't know (TUT)

KnackeredCow · 14/09/2010 13:07

Storm I'm ROFLMAO. Don't you just wish you could see your DP's face when he reads that text? Grin

Also sounds like your DP might even suggest he's got man 'flu.....

StormBird · 14/09/2010 12:59

Hi Everybody,

Knackered basically I need a new head LOL - only kidding DR said it sounded like concussion, he was also surprised I only just remembered hitting my head but said it sounds like it getting better so just to carry on not doing anything too strenuous and drinking lots of water, getting lots of sleep etc. But the way my DP is snoring at the mo cos of his cold I'm not sure much sleep is on the cards.

You will laugh......I just txt DP saying "I know you're not well but we must start having sex soon baby, it was afterall your idea to try much harder this month" - still no reply LOL I wonder why???? Hmm

I agree with you knackered my DP wondered waht hit him when we decided to TTC and all of a sudden I wanted sex all the time LOL - you;d think he's appreciate it after moaning that he didn;t get enough at the beginning of the year - stupid man.

BabyHoping · 14/09/2010 12:47

Hi everyone,

Just came back from the doctor and there is one follicle growing so he thinks that in a few days I will ovulate. Told me to save DH to when he tells us to BD. It´s actually funny when doctors tell you to refrain... Well, let´s see, These last days I´ve been quite tired and with nausea from the medication but one of them I already finished so I hope symptoms will improve.

How is everyone doing? This month I was not sure if I should or not use the monitor but I ended up deciding to use it. Doctor told me to set it to day 5 on the day I started inducing oculation. In my last moment of desperation a week ago I bought another 2 boxes of monitor sticks and 30 very cheap pregnancy tests (I had finished all of the ones I had in the last cycle)so I´m covered

KnackeredCow · 14/09/2010 11:57

Missyraines Funny you should mention Pre-Seed, a separate fred has just opened up on it. I've posted over there. I'm not sure about Pre-Seed. I've used it. Still not pg and I've had thrush after using it (not sure if this was coincidence or it messed up my pH balance). I rarely get thrush.

We've also found it a bit cumbersome to use as there's an applicator. Will give it another shot, but if things don't improve might switch to something else.

Lychees · 14/09/2010 11:21

I'm back!

Missy, hope DH makes it back for your peaks. I tried Preseed last cycle and this cycle and don't think I'll buy it again as we didn't really like using it. Too ..... slippy [sorry if TMI].

Owl, I have peaked anywhere from CD12 to CD18 but my cycles also vary in length accordingly. I think the CBFM has been useful on that front because its taken out the guesswork for us.

Keziah, remember to carry on SWI up to 5DPO.

I keep thinking that I am having little cramps and feeling a bit sick [might be the BO of my fellow commuters on the tube]. In other words, really bad symptom spotting this month. If I don't get my BFP, then at least I can book my HSG ... doing things like this makes me feel like I have some control over the fertility situation which definitely helps with the frustration.

Hi everyone else!

Missyraines · 14/09/2010 11:03

Hello to our new home and all the new members

Congrats Row and I'm pleased that Harry and Vnewmummy trucking along nicley with their pregnancies.

I have just got back from ten days on the road. Got my first high today of this cycle. Would you believe, hubby goes away today until Sun. Grrrrrr. BUT I start my new job in Oct so will be home every night. So I don't feel this month we'll get a shot (so to speak!!!) at it.

I'm also thinking about buying preseed. Anyone got any thoughts either way about using it?

owlshoes · 14/09/2010 10:15

Ooo, I like that plan

Love the new name, Knackered :) Day 9, bloody hell, though, DH will die of exhaustion if we have to keep this up for another 4 days, bless him.

Are other people finding that their LH surge varies by a few days every month? Mine seems to be skipping about all over the place since I started using opk sticks to work out what the hell it was doing.

KnackeredCow · 14/09/2010 10:09

Good Morning Ladies!

I was MrsS but have name changed to reflect how I currently feel about my reproductive organs and the fact that like owlshoe's DH, my DH is absolutely shattered and feels like he's a prize bull! It does make me giggle to think that MrKnackeredCow used to complain about lack of bedroom capers when we were SWOI. That will teach him to be careful what he wishes for! Was on a high yesterday. Attempts to seduce DH were met with some very loud snoring in ear.

I've re-posted stats with my name change.

Keziah FX for you too this month. Guess you are on the 2ww now!

Storm What did the Dr say about your head?

Emmylou Good luck!

Owlshoes Wrt sticks, I'm on stick 9 and still on a high. If I don't get a peak tomorrow I'll be on a second lot of 10 too. Maybe we should all buy shares in the company? They are certainly not going to go broke any time soon Smile

I used to work in Mecial Device marketing (for completely different types of products) and I think this is what makes me such a cynic. Given how much you pay for basic OPKs off Amazon, which are exactly the same technology, I reckon ClearBlue are probably running on about 80% to 90% profit margins.

Ah, there's so much money to be made from us poor ladies who are so desperately TTC.

Hmm
owlshoes · 14/09/2010 09:40

Morning lovelies :)

Kezia I know a few people who have hit the jackpot the month before they were due to visit the FC too, so all fingers are crossed for you.

MrsS yes they are def. trying to make us use more of the expensive sticks, grrr. At this rate I will be on the second lot of 10 as I have now had 6 days of high and no peak. It is evil!! And poor DH is knackered.

emmy good luck with the testing :)

Hairy Nice work, missus Grin

Hello everyone........

and welcome to all the newbies.

Sorry you've been having a tough time of late baby I hope things pick up for you soon.

Good luck SWI Keziah

There's been so much going on hasn't there.

CD9 for me - remember I told you DP said we must try much harder this month, WELL....he's ill so I'm hoping that he hurry's up and get better cos he needs all his strength for our Marathon month LOL.

Also, my migrains, although they are migrains have been bought on by concussion!! I only just remembered I hit my head on Friday, that happened nearly 2 weeks ago and I've been on the NHS website and printed out the details about concusion and so far I tick every symptom box and also every box about what you shouldn;t do if you have concussion. Explains alot let me tell you. So back at the docs this afternoon for them to check my head haahahahaha - not sure what they will find, if anything.

Fingers crossed for a BFP this month.

Will do Lychees! Grin - our last attempt before fertility clinic apt, so nothing to lose!!

Lychees · 13/09/2010 12:11

Keziah, I don't think it's too late as the LH surge can happen between 24 to 48 hours prior to actual ov. Get bd'ing.

Keziahhopes · 13/09/2010 11:53

Now am confused - this month went from low, one high and then a peak (today) - never had just one high before and as yesterday was when dh back from longhaul flight didn't SWI, so is it too late?

Welcome Annamaria! Yes, I believe in most women the luteal phase [from ov to AF's arrival] is usually 14 days. I think that some women can suffer from a luteal phase defect which means it is shorter and this may be a factor in not being able to conceive because implantation doesn't happen before the womb lining starts to shed.

MrsS, sounds like your GP was very thorough and you've now got the ball rolling.

Hairytriangle, we keep SWI until the low after the high after the peaks [and then every other day for good measure this cycle to try and cover off all possibilities].

Owl, I don't think you ever get more than 2 peaks per cycle. I have sometimes used my last stick on my first peak and my CBFM will assume a peak and a high after it without me ever poas.

Hello everyone else.
