Time for us to move home again ladies!

OP posts:
Attenborough · 17/09/2010 22:12

I'm so sorry if this is something I should be more tactful about, but I'm a bit confused, as some of the posters on the list have a UCL number which is much smaller than their CD number. Can someone explain? Or just tell me to bugger off and not be such a numpty?

KnackeredCow · 17/09/2010 22:01

Attenborough, welcome! I'm on cycle 1 with the CBFM, but so far have found it really useful.

In response to your questions. Yep to #1.

CD means Cycle Day. I could never remember until CBFM.

Attenborough · 17/09/2010 19:37

Sorry, people - a couple of basic question about the stats (now Starlet has piqued my interest!):

  1. UCL - is this usual cycle length?
  1. what does CD mean?
IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 17/09/2010 17:53

Hello everyone, hope you're all having a good Friday.

Emmy - sorry about the BFP then AF, that must be so disappointing Sad. Hope you're going to make the most of the wine this weekend.

Been manic here decorating so not been posting much. However CBFM asked for its first stick yesterday - on day 7?! I thought it was supposed to start on day 6 or 9 (I'm on cycle 2)? Anyway it's still on low obviously but am hoping to see more progress than last month, when I didn't get a peak at all.

starlet - am interested to hear about your acupuncture, I keep thinking about it myself. Please keep us updated!

Anyway hope you all have a good weekend

Thank you!

Starlet - you needn't add me to the list yet thank you - not TTCing for another few months but decided it wouldn't hurt to try the CFM for a random month just to get used to the way it works. Very kind of you to offer though!

Lychees · 17/09/2010 13:00

Hello All!

Startlet I had early peaks this cycle on CD14/15 so I think AF is due v.soon and I think she will come so there is no point in wasting a HPT.

Good news on the ovulation BabyHoping and good luck with the bd'ing!

ljg72 · 17/09/2010 11:24

Put it on Ebay!!! have a look at others for sale on there, to give you a guide on the going rate...Congrats on your BFP X

LaraMi · 17/09/2010 11:20

Hi... I wondered if anyone knew where I can sell mine... It's brand new, never been opened. I fell pregnant before needing it. I tried Gumtree but I guess that's not the right forum and am aware I can't sell stuff on here so wondered if anyone knew where I can get post it to sell it. Thanks

BabyHoping · 17/09/2010 10:13

Hello everyone,

Emmy sorry about AF/chemical pregnancy. Hopefully that means that its easy to get pregnant and this month you will have a keeper.

ljg At this point I prefer knowing that I got a chemical pregnancy than not knowing anything... So I guess I will continue with the crazy testing before! ;) What I think is important is realizing that those first days lots of things can go wrong and your body knows best. If I got a positive by 10dpo I think at this stage of my life i would probably wait a few days before telling DH

Attenborough the monitor starts asking for tests on the 6th day of yur first cycle (once it knows your can ask later)

Lychees I feel the same way as you... I just keep receiving news of second pregnancies and everytime I get them I feel really bad...Last one was from a very close friend who has a 9month baby and I just found out she is pregnant again (already with 4 months)

Well on my side, ovuation stimulation worked and yesterday I got another shot to make the egg come out. Doctor told us to "do it today, friday, saturday, sunday, until you get tired" so here we go! Honestly I´m not thinking at it so much as I was before cause I have to maintain my sanity and last months have been hard.

Seems to be quite a few people who are in "testing" territory - any BFPs ladies??!!

Starlet22 · 17/09/2010 09:32

Hi there Attenborough - the CBFM usually asks for the first test on day 6 - so you should be asked to start testing from tomorrow. Good luck!

Do you want us to add your stats to the list?

Attenborough · 17/09/2010 09:00

Hello, lovely people - wondering if I can ask a silly question. This is the first month I've used the CFM, partly for practice as we're not planning to TTC quite yet, and I'm on day 5. It hasn't asked me to test yet - is that normal?

Starlet22 · 16/09/2010 13:24

Morning ladies.

Lychees - hope you are okay and not too sad. Life can be very unfair. Anyway, my thoughts go out to you.

Emmylou - sorry AF got you. Hope you enjoyed the wine last night though Wink.

I thought I would share my accupuncture experiences (so far) with you in case any of you are interested. TBH, I have no idea if it is working but I guess time will tell!! Anyway, I find it a bit odd - he sticks the needles in (barely feel them other than where he inserts a needle and it's a bit tender) and basically leaves me there to "breath deeeply" for the duration. So, from that perspective, yes it is relaxing! The last time I went he also used some herbs - which he burnt "on" the needles which were by my pelvis. This sent a warm feeling through that area (that was nice - and smelt good too!!!). Apparently, mid-cycle, it's good to keep that area warm. As I've not been "diagnosed" with a specific problem right now he is just trying to "regulate" my periods (whatever that means - I am pretty regular as it is). Anyway, I would be interested in hearing of other people's experiences to see how different they may be (and also hope this is of interest to some of you having/considering accupuncture).

Lychees · 16/09/2010 11:16

Sorry AF got you after the BFP, Emmy.

Morning All. It has become public knowledge now that my cousin is expecting #2 so all the FB congrats are coming hard and fast from our other relatives. It feels like the first time I found out Sad. It should be me [!]; I'm much older than my cousin and things are not good between him and his wife. They are living miles apart with their respective parents and could be getting divorced .......

Hello allSmile...

Emmy so sorry af arrived after bfpSad I had chemical pregnancy last month.
I tested the day before af was due as just felt "different" it came up faint but positive.
Had af cramps next day and sure enough af arrived!.
When I spoke to Dr he explained that it is really common, and it's only because the tests now are so advanced that we find out at all, as before women just thought they were late!. Doesn't make you feel any better knowing that though!

So he advised not to test before af is due/late...not easy to do.
He just explained that sometimes conception occurs, and you start to produce pregnancy hormones... but sometimes the egg doesn't take and gets flushed out in af.

Hope your ok and enjoying a gallon of wine X

StormBird · 15/09/2010 19:53

Keziahhopes and Starlet. Thank you for info re my query. That's put my mind at rest Smile

Keziahhopes · 15/09/2010 18:57

Emmy I don't know about chemical pregnancy, never got that far - but am pleased at least that you know more about your cycle length, so hopefully you can time SWI more accurately and hopefully get a BFP soon.

Knackered we have the same problem, in fact dh cannot produce sperm every day so it solves the problem, ie every 2 days for us! The fertility consultant told us as dh had male infertility factors to only SWI every other day anyway! With 2 peaks we aim for once on first peak, or the high before and then after the peak.

Lychees enjoy! Grin

Storm - both of us next week - let us know! This will be my 4th appointment! No treatment yet.

KnackeredCow · 15/09/2010 18:20

Hmm New carpet for a lady TTC. Does that make it a ShagpileWI?

Emmylou Really sorry to hear AF got you. Make sure you enjoy that glass of wine. Make it extra large!

Great that the CBFM has helped you work out your cycle so that you knew AF would be late.
