Hey,
I meant to say that this is my 4th cycle and the 1st cycle using the CBFM.... is it normal to have just highs on it? Just embarked on my 5th cycle and 2nd with CBFM!

littlefan at least you havent wasted your money pointlessly POAS like me....im on day 26 and still feeling cramps, anger etc. have managed not to kill any colleagues yet but its been a battle.

agree with everyone re christmas. im finding it particularly hard not being pregnant at the moment. i saw my neighbour's cute little boy's wellies on the doorstep last night and it made me cry....marginally less embarassing than the incident in john lewis last week ...please laugh at me its the only way of getting throught these miserable moments!

Day 31 and I'm getting cramps - grrrrrr!!!
Definitely don't think I will be bothering to POAS this week. I will however be buying a pack of 20 to take on holiday so the whole cycle can start again!

I know what you mean Essence about being broody. My friend is expecting his second and I was looking online for a gift, as it's due in a fortnight. I was thinking what ours would have, what we'd need etc. I started decorating the nursery in my head. How sad am I?

I had a smear yesterday and the doctor had put on my notes to check for STD's too as it's a different test apparently. The nurse was lovely and very reassuring that lots of women worry when it doesn't happen. Her SIL was trying for three years and gave birth last month. It did give me a bit of hope.
TMI alert
While doing the test she said "relax your pelvis floor muscles by putting your chin on your chest. That relaxes them. When you have a baby, because you will, that's what you'll have to do."
It was so sweet the way she said, because you will. It made me feel better about the road I'm embarking on now I've registered as 'having problems'.
I get the results in a week. Next is Hubby's turn.

I don't know if I want them to say they've found a problem or that everything is fine and to keep trying. In a way, if we knew something was wrong we could make plans for the next step. I'd quite happily adopt as I just want a child too love. But to start that I'd need closure on the biological child attempts.

As Essence says I too am feeling super broody. How lovely would it be to have a child, especially around the festive season. It's what Christmas is all about. Not for us thirty something year olds!

CrazyAlien - has that been the pattern for all 4 cycles or just this one? It is normal to have the odd cycle where you don't ovulate.

level - MN is a godsend! There's hardly anyone in RL I can talk to about ttc and it is 99.9% of what I think about!

PinkCustard - sorry you're feeling low too. Pleased your DH has agreed to SA though - all one step further!

Keziah - that must have been very scary. Hope the painkillers are keeping it under control and you recover quickly.

Storm - great to hear from you. FX you get that early scan and get to see your little bean!

Boba - great to hear that the tests are showing you are ovulating :)

Hello Lychees, littlefan, kitty and anyone else I've missed.

DH is away tonight but OPK was -ve. I'm hoping Wednesday night and Friday night will fit in with DH's schedule and ovulation!
I'm feeling even more broody than usual today and also v aware of friends and work colleagues that are/might be pg. Maybe it's my hormones! One of my work colleagues texted me to say she'd been sick this afternoon and I'm ashamed to say my first reaction was to feel incase it was morning sickness! How mad am I??!!

Used the CBFM for my 4th cycle and had period of low readings then high for a good 10-15 days then a low then ERTD. Any ideas what the diddly do is going on? no Peak is worrying me ...

I've been TTC#1 for around 13 months and using CBFM for 7. Although I'm sad that some of you are taking a while to conceive, I'm glad it's not just me. The only stories I hear are accidental pregnancies and people moaning that it took them 3 months!

Talk about the Monday blues. We are a miserable lot - but it's so nice to have other people to show this side to. It's tiring keeping things together in RL so I totally understand pinkcustard. Especially when friends and family around you keep announcing their good news. I feel such a horrible person inside for not being more happy for them!

I'm feeling particularly fed up about the whole TTC thing at the moment - this is month 6 of using the CBFM (month 11 of TTC) and I remember reading in the info pack when I got the monitor that if you're not pregnant after 6 months if using it to visit the docs, and I cheerfully thought 'Oh I'm bound to be preg within the next 6 months' But here I still am .

I'm finaly facing the realisation that after 11 months of well-timed sex I should be pregnant by now, and the fact that I'm not is indicating something is wrong...DH has finally agreed to make an app to see his doc about a SA but I'm sad that we have to.

Sorry for being a self-indulgent moanbag but I act all cheerful and upbeat in RL whenever any of the few people who know I'm TTC ask about it, so I'm feeling the need to vent on here today.

littlefan - hope you are ok. If it was me I woulld test, purely so know what to do or not on holiday etc - drink?

Storm - please stay, and cheer us all up and encourage us to get BFP's!! Maybe your BP was up because bit stressed and will be ok when midwife takes it?

Boba - like Storm said, it doesn't need to be more than once! What tests do you have to check you ovulate and when as that sounds interesting?

I am cd 29 now, no sign of af which is unusual so did another test (last one!) and still bfn ... wanted to know as had a routing gp apt today. At the weekend was in a car accident - hit from behind, damaged (according to dr at a+e) my trapezius and intercostal muscles - it hurts, ouch! So on strong pain killers, hence wanted to know if miraculously I was pregnant as not want to do wrong thing. Will take another week or so to heal, although worst of pain should be over soon, apparently - hope so!

Can I jump in and say - it feels that much like home on this thread that I just can't leave....

Hope you are all ok? I check up on this thread everyday, and am willing on those BFP's for you girls.

Boba when we fell Preg we only BD'd twice around the time of ovulation. I'm not bragging by any stretch of the imagination, just wanted to reassure you that it can still happen so long as you did it around the right time hun . I've got my fingers crossed xx

Quick update from me:
I'm nearly 7 weeks preg and starting to feel pretty crappy - but in a good way! LOL!
Have been to the docs to let them know and BP was a little high so she said she needed to keep an eye on it......then spoke to someone else about it (my brother who takes peoples BP's all the time, not for fun LOL for work) and he seems to think its not too much to worry about - see little things like that make me worry uncontrollably. So will be contacting the MW this week to try and get an early reassurance scan. I need to try and relax and enjoy it but so far I am on tenderhooks.

Sorry to hear so many people sounding so down at the moment - I blame the weather.
I fell down the stairs yesterday and got pretty bruised - hope I didn't damage my chances this month.
Should I test before I leave for Mexico on Friday or leave it a week longer - that is my current dilemma.

Choccie - understand about monitoring ... I don't even use my CBFM anymore, other than press it each month to know what date I am on!! But stay on this thread, as it feels like home. Keep in touch x

Kitty -oh it made sense alright! Sometimes I think it would be easier if I was oblivious to HPTs and just "accidentally" noticed that I'd not had a period and was developing symptoms. Never going to happen though!
Also wanted to say whilst catching up on the thread, I found your initial posts and want to say how fantastically brave you are. I think we all have our own rollercoasters on the ttc journey but I'm sorry you've had it tougher than most. I hope before long you'll have your next BFP and a happy healthy pregnancy.

Hello Keziah, Lychees, littlefan, porth and anyone else around.

I'm on CD14 and still on lows. I wonder whether my ov has been delayed because of my cold or whether it's just disappeared this month. This week isn't a good one for SWI as DH is away a couple of nights so feeling frustrated already!

just re-read my post and don't know if it made sense (really need to use 'preview'. about the early tests i just mean companies probably use them as a huge money-spinner, its win win for them and many people who buy them probably could have waited 4 or 5 days for AF to tell them the same thing without the extra 4 or 5 days of thinking 'i may have just tested too early'...
