I have the Air Hockey and Ping pong tables on order.
I thought it being the first day of term we should move in and make ourselves at home.

Hi

sooooo....what'cha do in the weekend? Oh and guess who I saw with that slag from St Jessies on Friday night at the Odeon????

ahem. I don't recall drinking any of those coloured drinks at school - lots of beer and wine yes. I seem to recall the first lesson of alcohol consumption (correct order of mixing) was ingrained then. Fortunately, those items are still very much on the 'can be consumed list'.
It's all far to far away to be remembered with anything other than very rosy specs though.

Well done ms caribou on surviving the softplay, you can wear the glow of self-sacrificing mother for several hours more. Fingers crossed no tummy bugs ensue. My local one does do ball pits - for which I'm grateful. DS loves it, mostly, he does get a bit freaked out by all the other tots at first..takes a bit to warm up, my boy.

I'm tired. After a week in India with no tummy trouble I must have picked up something on the flight back, so had a cold, dodgy tum, and jet lag yesterday - was not my best day. Now I just feel like I've been hit by a bus, but am fine again.

I hate doing this but I'm already wishing away the next 3 weeks. Pretty sure this month is washout ttc-wise. Have an age still to wait for the appt with consultant to get results of blood tests. Just want to press the fast-forward button to get past the next AF and get a bit closer to the appointment (and miraculously skip all the work to be done following-up from trip). Only problem with that is it would land me right in the week my MIL comes to stay. I think I may need a few weeks to psyche up for that one Grin

caribou hope you don't mind, I BFPed you on the other thread's list.
jolls I'm dreading the next months..we start heading into 'would've been' due dates. Last time this happened I was pg with DS so I didn't really register them. I don't think I'll get away so easily this time. How are you doing now? things easing off?

CaribouMoo · 12/09/2010 10:19

Ocht Jolls, that's a shame. I must admit I haven't even been lurking on the grads thread because I was looking in between Muser and BUnder and thinking that's where I would have been. Hope the ILs isn't a bad thing and you are being kind to yourself.

Survived the soft play and DD absolutely loved it. Stripped her down as soon as we got her home and scrubbed her clean in the bath. I should have poured a little dettol in the bath too!

A wee day out in Edinburgh today and the sun is shining up here. Makes a nice change to get over the other coast, although its nowhere near as good as Glasgow. So no one has tried Buckfast then? Don't know what you are missing..........

randomimposter · 12/09/2010 07:47

morning all - another safe arrival on the grads thread, and I had a momentary shiver (not quite the right word but in a rush) when I realised I would have been next on the list but for MMC2...

Hope all well, must dash, off to ILs for the day, long drive, much to get ready x

batteryhen · 11/09/2010 22:03

Talking of drunken pasts...a friend and I smuggled some strongbow into the cinema when we were 15, and she ended up having her stomach pumped :( her mum blamed me Shock

clareanna · 11/09/2010 19:38

Hooch!!! Urrgh
At uni we used to have Caribbean night at the su bar ( grass skirts ahoy) a favourite was a blastaway special- castaway, diamond White and a double shot of Malibu - not even sure if that much alcohol in one glass is legal...
Still, you only needed two one - cheap night out!!

My sister introduced me to her uni tipples too (she's 10years younger) cheeky vimto or a dr pepper anyone?? Yack!!

cmoo hope you survived the carnage - did yu find yourself all hot and bothered having had to climb to the top of the damn thing?!

barrenbrook · 11/09/2010 19:14

My Brother used to work at a restaurant where they had one of those Charlie Chalk kids places attached to it. One day when they cleaned out the ball pool they found a dirty nappy buried in the balls. Lush! Shock

owl it was a few years ago now, and I did empty my stuff out onto my lap before said incident Grin

Strictly's back! Yeah!

owlshoes · 11/09/2010 19:05

Vom in handbag ?? I love you lot; you are class. Grin

Moo you might want to give DD a thorough scrub-down with dettol after that. Mmm, ball-plague.

youremindmeofthebabe · 11/09/2010 13:02

I don't know if they do, caribmoo! I hate those places too, but DS is a believer.

Did you all cry at Jade?

I's at work. It's rather relaxing, all radio and no customers. You's all got any good plans for tonight? I am living vicariously through you, my night involves a 9 mile run and X-factor.

Likeable Drinks that don't make me Vom*

Jaegermeister
Sambuca
Morgans Spiced/ Sailor Jerrys

*at least, not much.

CaribouMoo · 11/09/2010 12:26

Gi1da that's it aye! Total paranoia and bewilderment. Unbuffy, you are right about the blue drinks. I remember one such substance that made you produce blue motions! Really lovely chat here, its fab!

I also had a wee weep at BB, I haven't watched the end of it yet though. I thought it was quite emotional when Davina was going round the house for the last time.

I'm away to get ready to go to a birthday party with DD at a soft play area. Am I a pure grump or are those places hell on earth? I can't help but wondering what's lurking amongst all those balls (food, vom, pee?) and how on earth they clean it out, assuming that they do?

PrettyVacant1 · 11/09/2010 11:49

Ahh Jolls, good old Ruby, how things have changed. Hmm

I have a David&Goliath t-shirt that my MIL bought me saying "I'm only cute on the outside"
I wear it as jimmies with pink pants that say "it's all about me" which she also bought me.
She loves me really.

I can't touch JD and it's taken me a while to be able to keep Tequila down again.
It used to bounce.
It has something to do with the salt, the salt is evil . Grin
SIL has got me on Jaeger bombs. Shock

Viv hey missus, I've missed ya, how's it going?

Hi Gi1da Nice to hear from you, wine is indeed very quaffable, although SIL & I slowed down the quaffage when I found out how speshul it was.

Mrs PV I still have an old Pod T-shirt (bedwear only these days) circa 1996 with the slogan "There are 3 billion women who don't look like supermodels and only 8 who do." Indeed.

I used to watch BB avidly (up until BB8) and have dipped into Ultimate a bit. Didn't watch all of it last night, but am so happy Brian won.

BaBr I've done the vomit in handbag, also into a hastily concocted cone of newspaper then thrown out of the window of the flat I was crashing in. Nice Blush. Worryingly most things I have got totally arsed on, I have been able to drink again... except maybe Hooch (oh the ultimate shame... actually that didn't make me puke, but once it stirred alarming bowel movements - guess it was all the sugar)... thank God they don't sell that anymore... Grin

Off to tidy up and intellectualise my FB page... you never know who's watching...

clareanna · 11/09/2010 09:09

bbrook I did also shed tear last night (the shame)

PrettyVacant1 · 11/09/2010 08:26

You're all frickin' gorge!

I am also looking like a super model btw.
< nodding convincinlingly >

Also I think its important to add that none of the pics on Bookface are of me.
My beauty is so inspired that when a camera appears, I have to ask this speccy, limp haired, double chinned, crazed looking
woman to stand next to my friends and family.

I'll try and put some up of tonight , I'll be wearing a pritty dress!
I don't do dresses.
Battery gonna go on phone , must drag myself out of bed soon.
Hope everyone is swell xx

jolls Blush bless you, I still think you need your eyes testing. Plus I'm only 5'3 so not very model like at all!

randomimposter · 10/09/2010 20:54

bb's a blimmin supermodel...

clareanna · 10/09/2010 20:21

bbrook just asked you to be my fwend on fb in case you wonder who the feck it is... Nice profile pic by the way!

Gi1da · 10/09/2010 20:01

Ah yes, the High Table of Pregnancy Paranoia and Symptom Bewilderment. There's a place setting all ready for ya Moo. Smile

CaribouMoo · 10/09/2010 19:40

I can't stomach any kind of cider, induced by Pulse - 'the cider with rythm'. Bleurghhh! What was with all those random flavours of 20/20? Kiwi flavoured booze FFS! Southern Comfort is also a no-no for me Hairy, even just the thought of it makes me shudder.

PV haven't heard of that wine, sounds delicious though. The local delicacy up here (despite it being made by monks in Devon) is called Buckfast - has anyone tried it? Its the consistency of cough medicine and has more caffine than red bull. I drunk a few bottles during my mis-spent yoof and there is no other drunk like it! Sadly it has terrible connotations with being a ned and ASBOS.

Owl I am not a great rummager but bow to MamaP on that subject. Had a wee chuckle at the image you brought forth though! The only time I really noticed mine was when I checked when pregnant last time then about a week or so after the ERPC and it scared the shit out of me.

Thanks Gi1da matey, maybe see you in a few weeks if that spare seat is still going on the other thread. What was the excellent name you gave it last time? The table of something or other that summed up perfectly the terror and neurosis of being pregnant again after MC?

Well done Viv on pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. You are very cunning indeed.

Gi1da · 10/09/2010 19:34

OMG I missed loads! Hellos all around.

Maybe one day I will brave that book of face...Still intrigued by the chicken and medieval costume...

But MOO!! Oh my that's just brilliant news. Bestest of bestest of luck for a really dull duffedness. Oh that's made my day.

MrsPretty oh yes Chapel Down is delish. Those Biddenden / Tenterden wines are fabulous. As originally a Kentish lass I feel it's my duty to consume support them as much as poss. Sorely missed. Makes up for all the sh1te I drank in my youth. Also can't now drink anything blue thanks to Caruso. Blush Nothing worse than waking up with a mouth that tastes like something died in it, and a furry blue tongue!!!

Sorry all a bit random, bit spaced out today. Thank feck indeed it's Friday.

"No wonder we're all fooked up and are having problems with fertility the amount of drinking and puking it seems we all did! "

Grin Grin

barrenbrook · 10/09/2010 17:54

upduffybuffy I read that as, I once had sex in a bubblegum factory. Had to go back and re read Blush

hairy and owl southern comfort, have also been at vom central after too much of that stuff. No wonder we're all fooked up and are having problems with fertility the amount of drinking and puking it seems we all did! We should've made babies at the same time we were drinking and puking and everything would've been fine. Well, maybe not at exactly the same time but you get my drift. Right?!

Hello mamapower come on in and join the nostalgia fest Smile

hairytriangle · 10/09/2010 17:18

ah I see! I thought there was something I didn't know how to do LOL.

VivClicquot · 10/09/2010 16:38

hairy - on Bookface, I was assuming you lot were already pals with PV, so thought you could just scroll through her friends' list... Blush
