The 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

***

Although all most of these rules are well and truely broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Hello all,
Sorry but I've been awol with work which has been mental but has distracted me from my 2ww which was a blessing.
Have had all kinds of ridiculous symptoms but still have sore tits which prob means it's a no-win this month. Will find out Monday when I'll be officially late.

Brassica how's it all going?
takethat glad you are getting positive signs - I didn't know it was humanly possible to have that long a cycle - maybe you and Vallina should speak to the Guinness book people? ;)

I'm very impressed with the bendy people here - I'd love to do pilates but it costs a bomb over here so can't justify it. Plus I'm crap at going to exercise classes and don't much want to look at other women's bums.

nomore how are you doing? we are almost cyle buddies if I remember well. Are you going mental? I've had a heightened sense of smell, a bit of nausea, cravings for crisps (which is perfectly normal for me), occasional cramps... and I'm not even excited. I just don't get the preg vibe.

Josie hope you're better soon.

JosieSmith1 · 07/10/2010 21:29

Evening everyone.

I'm off work poorly sick today and taking tomorrow off too. Sad Just a cold but haven't got the energy for work. Think my body is telling me I need a rest. Refuse t take Beechams or similar just in case I'm early pg Hmm

Anyway, hope everyone is ok, I'll catch up properly tomorrow when I should be feeling more human and able to concentrate

P.S. [whispers] I don't feel pg yet. Biscuit

NervousNelly · 07/10/2010 21:21

. 2DPO, tra la la. Too soon for symptom spotting? Wink. Boooorrrrrrrriiiinnngggggg.

Don't need any of your cycle Takethat or Vallinna, thanks. But can anyone trade me a younger model of egg/ovary combo? Hmm.

Car didn't get home today, boo (was it me you were thinking of miffles - in which case no it's a lovely child-friendly estate :)) but I'm promised it tomorrow. Is it wrong that I love my car this much Grin

Miffles · 07/10/2010 20:17

ooo....were we in the same class??? how funny!!! you should have shouted out "viroid" and saw if anyone responded!!

I tried to stiffle a giggle during ours. Whilst we were doing a child-pose stretch to one side, I looked behind me and could just see lots of bottoms!! Sadly the stiffle didn't work and there was a most unladylike snort! Grin

Sounds promising symptoms NMCB - saturday really isn't that long away. I hope your car isn't a 2 seater convertible! Wink

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 07/10/2010 18:56

Miffles I'm off to pilates in a bit too. You do realise that I will now be lookin askance at all the girls in class, wondering if I'm not the only viroid present!

Feeling very confused in the last days of my 2WW. Have been convinced period is a coming, but last 2 days have had a low grade nausea then this afternoon was hit with a wave of real I might throw up type of nausea. Confused!! Roll on Saturday I say! Need to know if I'm buying wild yam or wine.

Miffles · 07/10/2010 18:36

Hey all - have been so busy with RL, haven't had a chance to write on here since Tue. What's all that about?! Can't I tell work I need to come in late, so I can talk to my proper viroids friends on MN. Humph.

Crap crappiness to Brassica and Vallinna. Sucks boo yay to our crappy bodies. In the nicest possible way I hope mine behaves itself better. Am counting the days til next Tue (same as Vallinna) when I see the consultant for the first time. Hoping to get clomid, but at least I'm realistic about it maybe probably not working at all first time.

Oh, Brassica - what happened with your spotting/bleeding. Did you manage to speak to the consultant, or did it stop?

Ha ha ha ha ha to NMCB!! I am at the top of the queue for extra days. Since my last cycle was a blooming 12 days, that is more bleeding days than not.

Good news about poss ovulation, Takethat. Really positive. Know you've waited an age, but something happening is good.

vallinnapod · 07/10/2010 11:41

NMCB - good lord you may all have AT LEAST 30 days...in fact I refuse to give away any less per peson Wink

I'm with Brassica and in lurker mode. Nowt to report here. Body doing f'all. Next docs appointment on Tuesday.

Did I mention they fucked me around....AGAIN? I have waited two and a half weeks for an appointment as it was to see my consultant (well, the one I have see ONE whole time before now) They then call me at the weekend to say I can't see her (no explanation) but I can see someone else at the same time/date. I couldn't care less who I see, I couldn't care more at waiting so long for nothing. Grrrrr fucking grrr!

Thanks - rant over!

Muchos love to one and all

nickelbabe · 07/10/2010 11:32

NoMoreChocBiscuits - I've done a bit of research for you - the best one for beginners I can find is on youtube. The videos are by Expert Village and the demonstrator is Shahira.
here's one for shimmying -
there are loads more that she's done - they seem to be under "egyptians bellydance" headers. but if you stay with Shahira and Expert Village, you'll be okay.

Don't forget to warm up and cool down - you only need to to half an hour a atime to start with :)

takethatlady · 07/10/2010 10:18

Whoops - bad maths there. Better make it 21 days just in case.

takethatlady · 07/10/2010 10:16

nmcb brilliant idea. I'm willing to give away 30 days. That'll take me to 27 on my shortest cycle and 34 on my current record.

These days are free, unused, and in excellent condition. Be warned, however, that some of them may carry side effects, including excessive googling, phantom breast tingling, and occasional insanity.

Any takers?

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 07/10/2010 08:27

Right Hugh Ferny-Twittington has organised a land share thingy, I'm organising a cycle sharing thingy. TakeThat here has more cycle than she needs. If all the viroids with cycles that are to short form an orderly line she'll give you a few days of hers. We'll do this until everyone has a nice orderly, average cycle (with ov). And a caramel digestive. oh Vallinna you stand beside TakeThat.

Right everybody ready? Go.

takethatlady · 07/10/2010 08:22

I know this makes me nuts Confused (that's my nuts face) but the due date calculator doesn't even have a 64 day cycle option on it! I had to lie and pretend my cycle would have been 50 days long but that it started 2 weeks later.

2DPO and already I know when I'm due. This is going to be a long 2ww Blush

takethatlady · 07/10/2010 07:50

Oh my god you lot you're making me hungry! Not a biscuit in sight in this house, either, and though I could go to the shop to get them I'm working from home and I can't be bothered to get out of my PJs. But those caramel digestives are sex on toast ...

Love you too brassica! How do you know it hasn't worked with the Clomid? Don't lose heart - you never know, and even if it hasn't maybe you can twist the doctor's arm to up your dose?

Shhhhhhhh but 97.78 here today. Looking hopeful that I finally ovulated. So count me in to my second 2ww this 'month'. This will be a nine week cycle. Nine weeks! Joke!

Eskarina · 06/10/2010 21:30

Result! My ebay lady was more than reasonable and has offered to refund the coat and all costs. Am now v happy, although still in need of a new coat.

NervousNelly · 06/10/2010 20:48

Oh Eskarina I just LOL'd at your resisting digestive temptation Grin. On the plus side, Bakewells have fruit in them - so that's one of your 5 a day taken care of Wink. Hope that cheered you up about your coat fiasco. Boo hiss to them :(

Welcome Alien . As you can see, we're in no way stressed about ttc here Hmm.

brassica. Bloody bloody useless bodies and drugs and stuff :(

Good news from me is, I should be getting my lovely car back tomorrow, yeah! Only 4 weeks to repair a minor bump, great customer service Angry. It bettered be Valet'd to within an inch of it's life. I'll be giving the Meriva a fond kicking on the way back to the hire car company, ha ha!

BrassicaBabe · 06/10/2010 20:28

Hi, not been able to read posts. Work and pesky student getting in the way. Having a head fuck re clomid this month too. It's most certainly baby-fail for me this month even though I'm only cd12.

Anyway, just a quick post to say hi and that I still love you Blush. I'll be back to post properly and catch up soon x

Eskarina · 06/10/2010 19:14

Hi Alien welcome aboard. Sorry to hear TTC is getting you down. It does seem that the moment one decides to go for it that everyone around suddenly sprouts a bump with apparently zero effort!
If you've read some of the ramblings on this thread you'll see that we're not that good at not obsessing, and take it in turns to send a slap with a metaphorical wet kipper to each other when we get too carried away.

I am proud to report that I resisted my chocolate caramel digestives. I ate a Mr Kipling mini bakewell tart instead Blush

alien06 · 06/10/2010 18:44

hey, room for another?
been TTC for 3 months now, about to go into my 4th cycle with ERTD around the corner :(
GEtting stressed and depressed with it , and its not even been that long! I have no idea how to not obsess with it :0( everyone around me is getting preggers and they are doing everything wrong in the doctors eyes- overweight, smokers, drinking whilst preggers - grrrr and have no money to raise them with at all, rant over!
why cant I get pregnant?! GRRrrrrrrrrrrr

Eskarina · 06/10/2010 18:26

All your talk of biscuits has just reminded me that I have chocolate caramel digestives downstairs, and I am seriously tempted to go and get them. In fact I think I only have them because someone further up the thread reminded me of their existence.

Whispered question for those who chart temps: what on earth does it mean that my temp has dropped by .5 degree (C)around the time I possibly might be ovulating?? I have no real symptoms of ovulating except pant snot this morning (but not during the day). But then I didn't get any signs that I ovulated at all last month. My last cycle was 34 days, so I would have thought that ovulating now on CD 12 seems unlikely.

In other news, I'm seriously p'd off today that I received a coat I bought from ebay. It's missing the belt, is dirty, and absolutely reeks of smoke. I contacted the seller to see what she will do about it, but I doubt I'll get a refund. Gnuh.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 06/10/2010 16:18

Oh Nickle! Choc hobnobs! I just remembered I was meant to get Hubby caramel digestives. Opps. Forgot tampons too, so guess will have to go back to the super market on Sat anyway.
Think you will have to run a belly dancing class, cause I don't have sky and REALLY need to get myself sorted. Pilates is great, but not quite enough.

Managed a shop with no chips or chocolate honest [sweet and innocent, lying through my teeth face].

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 16:05

there's a channel on sky that has a bellydancing lady.

You have to make sure you find one for beginners, though, because I did one of hers that was for intermediates and it was bloody hard! Shock

JosieSmith1 · 06/10/2010 15:00

Ooo Nickel that does sound good! I haven't got the time or money to do a proper class so you will have to teach me Grin

Might give it a bash actually, that's the only place I seem to be putting it on, always had chunky tree trunk legs so not really bothered about those, just the stomach and waist becoming a problem.

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 13:27

ah, to avoid spread around stomach, you have to do belly dancing! it's what i do to keep fit - itworks all the muscles around your middle part and makesthem very flexible (and bendy Wink)

JosieSmith1 · 06/10/2010 13:23

Oooo Nickel that sounds like a champion idea! Grin Especially the hobnobs! I have a very very fast metabolism and so can eat anything without putting on weight but recently it seems to be slowing down and I appear to be 'spreading' around my stomach, hence cutting down on choccy. I was gonna use the feed a cold as an excuse to stuff my face Grin Have got to ride tonight so will drag DH to the yard with me to help out with the manual labour, then snuggle up on settee with DH, duvet, cuppa and choccy biccies!

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 11:44

why are you avoiding chocolate?

I very rarely eat it, but fancy some today.
(that's after not fancying anything for breakfast)

I need more milk.

the feed a cold starve a fever has been proven to be bollocks- you should do what feels right in order to get better.
tuck yourself up in a warm blanket/kaftan, with a cup of honey and lemon and a couple of chocloate hobnobs
